hello shalom we are live [Laughter] say two a few words before we will start so first uh [Music] after a lot of uh requests from from the people of uh the whanau family uh facebook group and requests that i got on instagram uh and after uh a small talking with with the eliezer botsa my dear friend and i will explain you in a minute who is um we decided to start uh formula sheet from genesis from the first uh uh parashah in our torah to start uh to try to start a tradition of 20 minutes uh of the highlights of what we think it's uh uh there is like connection between the things that's happening in the uh the verses in the torah that we are reading in the synagogue and we will i will speak a little bit about it in a minute uh to the things that's happening in our world and the connection and it's a good opportunity to learn together thor and i know that you really like it and um we will try to to talk and again to connect between the things that's happening right now in our world and and to the torah and the second thing that we will try to do is to to teach you uh from these lessons uh a couple of words each uh uh each lesson uh so with me here is the eliezer so first is the kohen we are from the same tribe from the levite tribe as you know i'm a levite so he's a coin he's a good friend of mine he's a singer songwriter and i think that he can we can say that is uh i don't think that he would like that i will say kind of a rabbi but is like you have a lot of of knowledge of from from the of the torah and he's a good friend of mine you know that the highest the highest position as a friend because it doesn't matter what um uh title we have um if we're successful we get to a place that we empower our our society and we get as fast as we could to the level of a friend with who we're interacting with all the time so so for me the best title was a friend all right um so we will try to do it fast because we want you to be able to come back to this uh to this video on youtube to see it again and to learn from it um and we choose it's a very interesting uh pagasha this week so we choose a couple of uh small things uh kind of a highlights from this pagasha uh i just promise you to say uh to explain you about the synagogue so in every shabbat actually we are ready to the shabbat because it's in i think an hour and two hours from now here in israel so whenever shabbat we're going to the synagogue and we are reading part of the torah uh the five first five books of the tanakh for those who ask me what is the difference between tanakh and torah and and each week we are reading uh the palace it's called pagasha and now we're going to focus on the first parasha belashit genesis um and i think it's chapter uh one two uh in the genesis book is one uh until six i think some something like this um so let's start ah i want to say that if you want uh to ask us a question so write in a chat uh i will look on the chat if you have any question uh so don't worry we will stop and we will try to to answer so eliezer yes brother it's the beginning we have we have the opportunity of of of starting everything from beginning now um the way that the torah is is is learned first of all in the base is like you said there's a chat there's there's a part it's called a shot portion so but it's it's like a whole station um um that we go through and studying them it's always connected to our times all the time so here we're in the beginning of this of this journey and we're starting from genesis and it's so beautiful uh and we spoke between us a bit about about how how how god created the world at all in in in words and this it's so amazing we had we had a dialogue uh between us um and the power of words exactly it's the the the meaning that actually the world was created with what could be seen sometimes as obvious uh especially today there's so much information and so much forwards but i think that what we're earning for more than all is the true dialogue and also true expressions you could see you know sometimes to tell a person that's close to you i love you so hard but the second the second the word comes out it heals and and so and wars are expression of the light of love um and and and this is also what holds the world my brother yeah and and what we can see um is that god create the word with words i'm sorry about my english that it sounds the same but it helped me with that with the accent it creates all all the our words in with words so uh we can see that uh when god created he said and god say and god said let there be light and there was a light and as as you said um i i felt it it took me this verse and in each day when god created the the the light and then the sky and and separate between the sky and the earth and they create the animals and then uh the we create the man and we will speak about it soon it's all by words and i feel that our generation um i think that that our um big uh pandemic i can say i i don't want i need to be careful with this word but um we need to be healed from um to be careful more careful about what we say uh because uh with all the things that we we see on facebook on instagram on youtube uh on tv people not afraid to speak about someone else to say bad things on him they are not careful about their words about what they say and i think that this is maybe our biggest challenge as as this generation we believe that this is like we are the last generation amen amen so we believe that that i believe i feel like this is our uh main message and that's why i think that menu we choose to to to focus on this uh on this uh important message about the power of words because if god can create with words and we can see it all over the the palacio and if i will go i will stop the the share screen for a moment and i will go to another screen with a second so you can see that in the all the beginning of the paulista we can see i put the english and the hebrew too god say all the time and create all the time and then he called to things with their name and then create again by by saying and again call uh by name so there is like two actions do you wanna speak up we wanna speak about it a little bit to action first the speak and then to create the name uh to call the name yes uh you see first of all that uh it's ten times that that god says that actually the tenth time is the genesis itself besides that there's nine times that it says elokim and god said um and the names actually is something that god involved us with because you see that the fur that adam the first mission that he had was to give names he got he got the mission to give names um to the animals um uh to to go to all the the create the creations um and you could see something beautiful of the involvement of humanity with the creation of god that god wants us to find the essence of everything it's like in the word neshama we spoke about this and the word neshama is so so in hebrew is neshama so the two middle it's four letters two middle letters are shem it's the name of the person so the the the center of a person's soul is his name so we could have a lot of philosophies but but but yes the first mission mission that that humanity had from god is to give names uh um uh to to to the creation it's to know how to define things in the right way that we could connect to that we could relate to and we could find the connection that's what our choice is for is to find the true connection that this is also this is also what dialogue is supposed to create if dialogue if we come to dialogue from um uh from a place of of wanting to to win each other of debates so in the body line we bring always opinions that we heard already we never bring something new to the situation but if we come from a place of of conductors you know in hebrew the word menace it has two meanings a winner but is also a conductor and so so so what is my place in this interaction do i want to win or do i don't want to connect and why we're in a situation of the conductor and working in a situation of harmony of true dialogue and then and then the the genesis and hebrew means from beginning maybe rashid and that's also a say of god that's the first day of god it's also uh like like god said because then also we learned that in our interactions as humans every interaction could create something new a new happening a new vessel for the light of god in the world and you know it's really interesting because um the things that you said it's the it's exactly the same thing that uh kohelet it's uh [Music] c8 help me with the english here uh we believe that kohele this this book wrote by uh king solomon um and he said that a good name is a better than a good oil and and the deep the deep meaning here is that uh of course it's not name against oil it's um it's better to have a good name then uh like things help me with it with the with the word in english um like more money than the money didn't finance money exactly um so so it's really interesting because you know we believe we know that king solomon he had everything and when he wrote cohelet book he he kind of of of explain us um that he said that it doesn't matter if you have everything and if you have a power if you have a money um he is and he started to to point about on the things that that that he uh know that important in this life and it it's really surprising that he said that it's a better a good man that it decided to focus on the name because sometimes i feel that i don't care about what people say about me because i i i want to focus about good things like to do good things in this world but i don't care what what what people say but but king solomon said no it's important because you need to remember that um you need to to to remember that to your word your word have a power uh like god like the same thing as god create the word with words uh you can uh kill and you can like kill the soul of people if you are like say bad things on them if you lie about them uh it's very connected for me to the to the fake news that we we're dealing today in our la ward and i decided like to to write here something that actually i'm sorry yeah yeah go go you have it written so yeah that you won't forget this voice at this point but i wanted yes to empower what you said unfortunately today that's also the fake news but it's also the way of communication that it's so easy today to to destroy people with with with with words you know and we need to understand the responsibility that we have over here with with the power of words of information of of how do we represent other people there's there is uh um idea that's on one of one of the orders of hashem that tells us also in the torah it's not only idea you know the negative tongue it could kill um uh people when there was a rabbi we spoke about carneva that said when a mother kills a person it kills him one time when you speak bad about someone in the back of his back or in his face when you insult a person so so you kill him a couple of times it's it's killing we need to understand the power of wars that we have especially today with the media like you said it's just a critical time that we have you know that in in true times of the torah when a person speaks negatively about someone who gets leprosy right he gets he gets slippery so that's what i i i just uh i just put here i want to be really careful about it because i'm not i i don't want to say i want to say before i'm not saying that like the leprosy is uh is our pandemic is is covered but i saw like a very deep connection between what we are dealing right now in in the world uh with the pandemic um there is like a deep connection between this to the leprosy in the in the bible because as you said in the in the bible you you got leprosy if you are speaking bad things about people and and and and it's called uh discrimination yeah as a cohen i will tell you yeah rather yes ako needs to find the signs if it's true in a person okay so the signs are on the body and it's not it's not in the body but for sure the idea that god speaks to us through messages in the world and the message is right but like like we can't tell a person that he got the covet because he spoke but we understand that the world is getting a message that's very related to the leprosy but what we're getting in the world the message and the message of what of what what god is also telling us of our behavior that's also very similar to the leprosy right because what happens to a person when when when after the cohen finds that he has leprosy so what does he need to do first thing to go out i like to do a kind of uh isolation time currently that he goes out he needs to do a quarantine so exactly so it's a place like god is telling us yes remember the value of being with yourself um and and and finding our our inner light in such a way that we don't need to um um do damage in interactions that that our interactions would only do good and for that we need sometimes to remember ourselves to go into kind of oscillations these isolations don't don't punish us they allow us to meditate in such a way that we remember ourselves and we're ready to come back to society in the right way in the right borders this is this is amazing there is like it it's it's so similar again i want to to make sure that you understood me i see you know on the check that you understood i'm not saying that the the covet is uh is a leprosy but but again as as butter said i i totally agree that there's like it's so similar so you feel like there is like a message here and and and and i feel that this is like the the the deep problem of our generation uh to keep our world clean to to to to to make sure that we're not speaking about other people and and to make sure that everything that we said um it's true you know the magicians you know for for the joke for the children but it came in like this i think in a lot of languages that they say you know uh you know to show that they do magic so they say abracadabra yeah so in hebrew the words abracadabra i would create yeah like i would speak yes when i speak i create you know and and god gives us this this allows us as as as his children as his creations to be involved in in this creation um you see that also there's a lot in the jewish philosophy that speak about three levels there's always just the thought there's this there's this there's the words there's speaking and there's the action and what connects between between the thought and action is the world of speaking a lot of people say you know it's the world speaking is entertainment no the world is speaking is is is is the connection between the purpose between where we come from between the thought and between the expression between the action itself if we don't have the true dialogue um we we can't do our mission in the world and and our mission demands peace we need to be example to all creations of peace and that that will come through the strength of talking if we don't understand this strength so we miss it all the time we jump from thinking to doing and miss and we're missing the place the clue sorry and and we will go we will we will speak about it soon because there's like uh we we said that we're going to do 20 minutes of torah but i think it's it's it's impossible we're in 25 minutes right now with the journey yes yes but let's turn forward because because i want you to to remember what we said because i think it's really connected to the things that we want that i want to speak soon about adam and eve um there is like uh uh uh things that i i saw uh and we spoke about it before that there is like a deep connection over there too uh about this the the the the speak um so i want to go forward because i know that people here want to speak hebrew they really love the hebrew language and we believe our prophet they they teaching us that in the redemption all the world uh will know uh to speak in in it i i don't know how but and i and if it will be like so clean like like we speak in hebrew but the word will speak in hebrew so we want to speak a little bit about the hebrew in this paragraph there is like two things that i that me and bother we saw before um uh this um live stream so the first thing is about the word creators uh creators and brute it's here so um i i felt like there is like something um very interesting here because this is something that you can't understand when you don't speak hebrew the connection between the word creator and the the word health that in english it's like there is no connection between those words uh but in libra there's a a deep connection and it's really connected to what you said before um that if you want to create um and then if we were speaking about the the way you speak and there is like a deep connection in the world to the word health um you want to speak a little bit more about it oh it's beautiful it's uh you you see we see that that then first of all the the source like you said it's it's it's creator it's the creation it's um it's the creatures yes it's us it's the woman and then then and then it's the health and yeah the connection is so critical because yes it's the same it's the same it comes from the same source yeah it's so beautiful you know we had we had another subject but i think we passed our time yeah but maybe we could relate to our to our subject in such a way that relates to our first object of of of the names you know that that that god gave us uh the strength that we see over here also of connection to to creation and to health and and that the strength of giving names uh to to also to also to all the creatures so you know the name dog okay how we say talk in english i would give it there is a small philosophy but it's important philosophy that we could learn about names also of animals okay so dog is we say calif caleb is like a heart live live his heart so a dog is caleb like a heart so what do we learn over here and it's very important for us also we learn that from a from a relationship with a dog we learn a relationship with our own heart between the mind and the heart yes when when when the dog is trained so you give him so you give you give the heart freedom you give the heart you know you trust that you trust the dog that's trained that would run back home and won't stop and won't and won't stop in places doesn't need to stop the dog's just trained you take off the chain because every fork he would stop and look back in to the mind to the to to his to his to his uh to his the uh owner yeah and and and that's that's also something that we see over here um that that that that that the way the name came is through understanding how god is teaching us through all the creatures in the world about ourselves and then and then when we see one second once again actually i could learn about about how am i supposed to treat my own heart yes when i go into the journey you know um to see when when do i need to tie my heart and and be in a place of protection um and when and when am i trained enough uh to go after my heart um so this is also something that maybe we could learn about what i feel what i feel about what you said it's like it's it's helped me to to understand how much the hebrew language is uh um it's a very um important language in this world because there is so many things that if you want to to have a deep understanding of of how the word working because all the people that watching us right now and me and you we are believers we believe in god so we believe that the torah is true and we believe that there is like a lot of secrets in the torah so if you understand the hebrew of the torah so you have opportunity to understand like deep things and i saw when i when i prepared uh prepared the the this lesson i saw amen so when i when i prepared this lesson i saw something really interesting that i think it's it's kind of uh i i don't know i don't want to use like it's not a misunderstanding but i think that there's like a a big difference between what the the jewish uh torah uh the the rabbis that that uh translate and and and spoke about the torah in hebrew think about this verse uh and what the all the words think that this verse means and i'm talking about um let me found it wait a second [Music] i can find it right now okay i have it here so the word um so we we know if you know uh if you read genesis and i'm sure that you you read it once that uh god took uh the rib of the man and from the rib he created the woman but in the jewish translate like how the way that we speak in hebrew so yeah selah we can translate it to read but there is another uh uh a different translation of the word cella uh to a different meaning it's a side okay and most of the the the jewish rabbis in the history that's the way that that they explain this verse that the woman is not from the rib of the man is from the side so we understand that it's very hard to to i think it's a it's a it's a long lesson only about how the man was looking uh but yeah but but we believe that it's something like this like men and women there was something like this and it's not that it took only a part of the of the man um and and and and i think that there is like um um a connection about the the second thing that that i saw that really interesting in this parasha and it's again it's connected to to the hebrew that that that i wanted to to focus on the words um is that the word ish and the word isha it's very very similar ish it's a man isham it's a woman actually in english it's it's very similar to and it's really interesting but in hebrew it's almost the same and but after they were if you connect it so it's it's like fire as bottle said um so it's like there is something that i feel that that it's not it's not only it's not something that i i create it's not my uh own idea there's a lot of people that speaking about it that the deep connection between women and and and man is the the fire the ash um and the the last letter as you know from the my video that that we made in the eastern wall this last hay is the is the is the letter of god uh that represents god uh in the letters so the connection between the name of god it represents intelligence yes so so it's uh and they say that the women that the women got extra intelligence that's that's what that's what uh the comments say but what what what happened after uh the isha the woman uh ate and gave to the to the men to eat from the tree of uh knowledge what's happened something happened to their names and suddenly you see that god speak to to the man in the name adam and speak to the and actually adam when he speak to his wife is not saying is shy anymore he started to say hawaii and and then after the scene adam called his wife uh he started to call her yes so i i think that the there is like a deep message here um first for me is is that i would love to to to hear from you too uh elias what do you think about it for me it's like there is something that that it's really interesting that we spoke before that all the way to the scene you don't see the torah is not giving us any uh conversation between adam and eve or woman and and men they're not speaking i'm sure that they spoke but i don't know but but we can see we see that god tells them afterwards yes like that when when when god tells the item uh the course and then that he needs now to work the land uh and and get get out of the heaven so he tells him because you heard to her voice yeah because you heard her voice but we don't see actually a dialogue like we see between our fathers and mothers between abraham and sarah there's always there's always a dialogue between isaac and red and rebecca there's also jacob and rachel and there's always dialogues all the time and over here right like you say there's this when you look in the back so and the scene so god said you heard their voice but we don't see actually so why why the torah don't give us the the the dialogue i feel like it's it's because that there was a problem in the dialogue so when you don't have a dialogue bad things can happen because you can see even when when when uh gave to adam uh to eat from the tree of knowledge you see that she gave him and he just ate and the torah is not giving the what you ask her why you give me this to eat from which is it what's happening there is no dialogue between them and i think that it's there is uh i think that there is a kind of a closure uh to this uh message that we want to bring in this paragraph because we started to speak at the beginning that our creator or our god he created the word with speaking when he said something it happened and we believe that we're as a as a human we can create too with words we can create good things and if we're speaking about bad things about people so we can create bad things to our life to others and we can see that there is like it's it's so bold that adam and eve not speaking in this paragraph and as you said all they are not talking sorry and we learn from this that how much the need of interaction especially in relationships is critical especially in relationships now nothing is obvious no people say it's obvious i love you it's obvious no it's not obvious you know a appearance to a child it's it could change your life of a child you know you know sometimes people do so much mistakes only to hear a couple of words and but we need to hear it first from the right place huh yeah yeah and we're committed to already where we're where our dog is trained we're the hardest strain and and it's between women and why uh or uh men and wives and it's with between um nations between friends it's between uh anyone i think that this is like the the things that we need to fix in our generation uh the dialogue between people and and we we see it it's so it's so um i feel like we are an excitement you know from the new media from from the internet it brought everything open we're excited like a child that got into a candy shop first time in his life we still don't know the the the value you know to identify everything everything is about about um um um fashions very very fast fashions that change it's beautiful it's nice um but i it needs to be also with responsibility it needs to be also with truth with truth a value of quality that that we could trust in such a way that we continue to empower and not we always create positions that need to be replaced by other people and and and that creates a whole reality of snakes all the time people are biting each other from the back and and this is a reality we need to change we need to know how to be people that empower each other when we are interaction where interaction over here it's been more the glory of god as much as you would be more in your best that would bring better to the world so it would be also in my best and and and we don't need to be intimidated by each other we need to know how to empower each other all the time and uh for sure in interactions and for sure in in in our attitude towards the world if we're people that our way to grow is to step on others so so so that's a big big problem it's a big problem the way to grow is to empower is to empower and this is this is this is the strength of our words and and i think that one of the things that i learned from you um you told me once that you want and you're trying to be in your life in each dialogue that you have with anyone with the media with your kids with your wife with with me with with the band with your band it doesn't matter to to stay the same one this to be the same eleazar and and and and and this is something really deep and and there's like for me um it's it's connected to the to the to the way that we are uh speaking because in the way that we uh talk to to our wife we need in the same way to talk to our children to talk to to to stay the same the same person in age what positive as much as we as we in our true relationships we understand that there are difficulties but but but but our purpose is to be people that empower with our words we don't we don't take for granted um sorry we don't we don't we don't make part of our personality things that we need to fix yes if i could fall i could get into anger i could say things i could say mistakes but these are mistakes these are things i don't want in my personality i don't make ideology out of that i don't make fashions out of that i don't create a culture out of that for sure enough and so so as much as we would try to be with in every interaction more people that put the focus on the positive and the connection and the connection so so it could be with god's willing true everywhere so if i will try to do a small closure to to what we spoke it's like we we are now on 40 minutes uh so i think maybe we need to change the the lesson to 40 minutes of torah so if i try to do kind of a closure and then i will give you a couple of minutes of question and i would sing a small uh song for shabbat uh that that eliza you know this song you will see um so if we will try to do kind of a closure so we said that god uh the word with his uh uh speaking when he talked and we saw that there is a deep connection between the word um and it's been creator creation creatures and health and we saw that uh king solomon said that it's a better uh to have a good name than a good oil that's the meaning is like i don't know money and it's it's it's like the words it's real something what we speak is so important and if we're going to the end so we understood that the woman and the man in hebrew in the bible because the bible is in hebrew it's there is a deep connection between those two words and the connection is fire esh the word ash so you can go back in this video and to see all the words and after the scene their name changed to adam and eve and we believe and i believe that one of the things that we need to fix in our generation is to make sure that the way that we speak is as botsel said in a positive way not saying anything bad about others in in in in this way if if we will try to do it each one in his own house and with his friends and with his family i believe that the i would say i don't know maybe crazy things but i truly believe that it can heal the world uh from the pandemic and from everything amen that's what i they were speaking maybe uh adam could tell to eve what are you doing don't do it but we see that we can't find check it later open the the genesis and you will see that they are not speaking it's israel is israel and because that after uh he act like he act and god chose him um to get a blessing from um from like to to get to get the the blessing of of building the world and to get the the blessing to be israel so he changed his name god changed his name and we know in in avron too it's uh it was avram and then he got another hay because that he was the one that fight for god and and try to to change the world so yeah we know that there's like in the torah remember it there is nothing just like this and that's why it's so important to read the torah in hebrew and that's what i'm trying to focus because we're doing like um a very strange uh uh things here in in in this lesson because we are focusing on the words because i know that most of you speak in english and you it will be really hard for you to find um this uh explanation of the torah about the words about how we is as uh that we have the opportunity to understand um um the way that god spoke and and the way that that god speak in hebrew because we know that the torah was brought in in hebrew uh yeah my children here trying to cry because it's almost about and we need to get prepared so i will sing i think one
