shalom do you hear me let me know if you hear me um [Music] shalom thursday night in israel um a winter winter in israel actually it's really funny that um it was a little bit raining it's not in israel it's something that we not used to all this raining and like the the roads and everything was like rivers and uh it was a little bit funny because when you are traveling to europe or to places with a lot of rain so it's never happened but in israel we don't use to so many rain so yeah winter israel that's what's happening in israel i just want to say that uh i think hour ago there was a terrorist attack in julian scenario and one yeshiva student was killed and i want to to wish um to his family uh the time as we are soaring with them where uh we're with them and uh we're praying for them and we want to wish for uh those who still on the hospital and was injured in this terrorist attack that this lesson will be a blessing for them and if you want us to bless another one in this uh uh torah lesson so uh please write us in the chat i will say that hello shalom i just thought about the terrorist attack that was in israel a hour ago i said that we will pray for them uh for those uh that's still in the hospital and uh we will pray for uh alicia luisa iran um [Music] i see and um yeah okay and this uh made this lesson will be for their healing and we will pray for all these names together amen yes uh yeah you know it's um it's a hard night um tonight for us it was uh like you said it um we know that there was a terror attack we we don't know even the name yet we know that there is a family that's missing uh that there's another soul another soul that was killed now um in this crazy situation um you know the the highest um the highest um settings that we say um this this is the highest the highest prayer um that a person says even before he dies if a person says this before he dies um uh it's it's called it's called i mean it connects with with with the name of god uh if a person says this before he dies um we say this at least twice in the day in our prayers um and and this is and this is a a prayer that came um um from this portion because in this portion this is the portion of of um the final portion of of of genesis of the sorry of bereshit yes um and it's defined it's the final portion um and in this portion jacob our father blesses his sons is is the portion of blessings of the life of jacob and there is it says and uh there's actually two stories of blessings yes right there's the first story of jacob with his grandchildren with a fly man menacheh and the second story i will start with the second story is with the 12 tribes with all of his sons and there is and there is um and says in the tomorrow the talmud that when when all of the sons came to to the father um with jacob so jacob looked at all of his children and he and he said one second you know with me it was it was there was where there was one blessing you know or for or for me or for esau you know and uh and and and and with and with with all the fathers there was always a kind of a conflict he said what what's what is this gonna happen now with my children as well and now all the children came to to jacob then to israel to our father who told him listen israel listen our father hashem hashem our god hashem is one and and this is the highest highest um prayer that we could actually say um so first that the first meaning is over here is that the tribes come to their father we come to our father and we tell them listen father yes listen israel god our god is one we are united okay this is the first this is the first um a place um um the first meaning that we say in this this prayer but there is um another couple of meanings and this is also what we also tell ourselves to remember that god our god is one god is one god with with everyone god our god is the god of everything is the one god there's only one god so to remind ourselves that there's only one god one god and right first thing is that we're united the second one is that so on and this is and this is what we also tell ourselves to remember with every person that our one god is everyone's god and and and this is what we also tell ourselves about the nations for everyone listen israel god our god is one god that means that our god is also god of the god of the other religions that is the creator of the whole world and this is what we expect from every also religion to tell us listen israel you will tell us also our god is one god it's one god and so this is this is this is the one gun this is what we all need to remember because also the wars and also the terrors and also the terrorists they come from from from from from from um from a lie um of of spirituality of a connection of a wrong connection with god and killing it's the opposite of the oneness of god to kill other person to murder our other person in the name of ideology it's it's it's it's worshiping satan it's not worshiping what god it's not the worshiping the one god it's worshiping evilness and and and our responsibility as as the believers as people that live the faith of one god is is is is that the light of god would come would come to the whole world in peace and love that this whole world would be a love a world that would be saved and worth and and and and and and and would give the the best conditions for everyone to connect to the one and amen amen what can i what can i say more uh yeah i think that that that um from looking here at the chat i can see people from all over the world that agree with you um for me this is the reason why we are doing this uh live every week um i know that's for you it's not so easy every week to to be able to do it and for me too and for everybody to join us every week every week i see like the same people coming again and again and i know that there is a different opinions and different way of thinking here with the people that with us right now but i think that as you said uh to find the things that have in common this is the real piece this is the opposite of what you said about um radical religion that uh take you to to kill so the opposite is to to find what is the things that we have in a common and to speak and to to put the light on them uh and and i think that the torah is something that we have in common um and the one god is something that all the world i think almost all the world have in common and if we will focus on this and we will keep with our torah i think this is the solution for peace for me more than anything else so let's talk about the portion because first of all that the tour is the word of god um um second of all you know it's very important because you know all of the religions don't i don't have uh argument with with with the fact that the torah was given uh was given to to um to to us to the sons to the sons of israel um even though um uh other religions are based on a specific kind there are different kinds of continuations um we as represents and servants of the source of the torah towards the is the source there's no argument about that and from the source comes all of the cont all the kinds of continuations we're not saying this out of ego or to say this out of responsibility jews were chased in these two thousand years also now our wars are not out of us trying to be an emperor we spoke about this last week we're not trying to be missionaries we're not in any war of killing others in order for them to adapt our agenda and we are saying this as as the nation that was given the torah in in in in a way that no one that no one argues with no no one that has faith no one that really wants to know history no one that really wants to know the development of the true world then no one every person that believes to to to to to to basic history yeah knows that there was um um a 3 300 um 33 years ago there was there was there was uh something that wasn't normal that didn't happen to one person that that got prophecy the whole world stopped the nation the sons of israel came out of egypt and were given the torah in such a way that no one in the world could have could have denial that denied that and the history also can't deny that and we yes as the nation that were chosen that was chosen to get the torah we have the responsibility to tell the whole world that the message of god is a message of love no other message could change this message it's a message of love of one god and also the prophecies are the yeah and in those days the days to come what would be everyone would recognize that god is one and his name is one and one is you know there's people that say you know um there's three there's 13 characters of mercy that we say in our prayers that this is the the characters that that mo that moses our father prayed that god would have mercy on his children of the word on the world he said this after after the golden craft after it's characters of mercy of god but it's 13 it's 13 characters of mercy also also that the number of of love is one who spoke about this also and and and and so so one is bless you god is the blessing and in the name of god yes and and and one one is is love is connection if we believe because we can't be moved by hate we can't we can't be moved by hate yeah and for those who just uh joining us right now uh we started to to speak about the terrorist attack that was the in the julian scenario in israel that an hour ago there is a three victims jewish victims one was killed and was murdered and two uh still in the hospital um we don't know their name yet and we don't know all the details because it's really uh it just happened but we praying for them and that this uh um lesson would be for their healing and of course for all the the others that we mentioned um and yeah and i would i'm agree with you that this is the pi the power of of uh of uh one god and the same the same war like it and it's similar to peace and this is what we're trying to do here to to to learn together uh with people with different beliefs with different uh um different uh uh point of view uh okay so let's let's we we spoke about uh let's speak a little bit about the portion you you started to speak before about the blessing that the children of of jacob coming to him for the blessing this is the main thing that happened in the in the portion uh the second thing that happened in the portion is that uh um jacob asked for uh joseph to uh to bury him in um this is very connected to the terrorist attack you know when actually it's not i don't want to take it to politics but it's very important to understand that the the places that you said jude and samaria and all these places that you said these are the places that we read in the torah this is the places why that they're the reason why we came back to israel this is our land and you you can see it here on the in the torah you see the names of the of the of of bethlehem all those places so we're asking for joseph to go back uh to bury him uh with his fathers avaam and zak um in havon and uh at the end we see that it's happened and there is i think that the most interesting thing happening in the middle with the blessing and it's very connected to what we spoke last portion last week about the blessing that judah and joseph get uh than the other child the other children like the other children getting more blessing like this is what you did this is what you get and something like it's very um you never would say i don't know to say it in english like it's very uh it's code it's called it yeah i can say it in english okay yeah they know that that's what he said but yes there is a special uh um focus and of destiny to every tribe in the blessings yeah so so let's let's go that's what i wanted to do so at the beginning we see uh that uh if you have something to add i will just say the blessing and and then just uh add so it started with the joseph that bring his children and jacob said that he's feel so blessed to see to bless the children of joseph because he never thought that he would see joseph again and he's coming to pray to to bless ephraim and manosha the children of joseph and um the plan was it's very similar to all the things that we see with the the all the sun in all the torah the plan was the of joseph was that jacob would put the hand the right hand on um and the left hand on the fly and then uh jacob changed his hand joseph asked him what what why why i think you you did because jacob is blind and he joseph i think that he think that maybe jacob was wrong and jacob said no this is what i meant and we will see in the future that form as as we had questioned before last week that form a slime um good chance would happen bad things too but more good things with the the things about the messiah that we say before and for manasha foreign i think it was it was also family fine but um there was a there was the evil king from innocent and then i shared the word there were um um hard times in history that came from hashem um but you do see from this story the main things of the story is actually about menacing from themselves the brothers that they had such a respect to each other that it didn't matter to them uh that the younger got that the blessings before the older and that's what the comments say because this respect that they had between them they got the present that every time we bless ours our sons we bless in the name of israel and menasha we don't we don't bless in the name of the fathers when we bless the daughters the girls we bless them yes then the names of the mothers the four mothers sarah and why why is this why what is the reason and when we bless the sons we don't bless in the name of abraham jake uh uh isaac and jacob of the the shepherds we bless we pray in the name of the of the two grandsons why because they respected each other we learned here something important rather it's that that the blessing is to everyone if we know how this relates to the one that they're that their uncles said to the father and this person of blessings we are one we are already a vessel for the blessing also this world we need to come all of us as humans tell god we are ready and you know i want i want to move god will tell us what else hey everything is ready for you already look how much wealthiness we have in this world look how much beauty everyone could live in heaven today everyone also in the worst places in the world also also on these diseases there's so much richness today and doesn't mean that everyone has it but but we could make it that everyone has it if we would feel one if we will this blessing already this is this is uh beautiful yeah it's very connected to what we said before about peace yeah yeah this is this is the main thing but sometimes as we're gonna see now he his blessing is little bit different now we will going to to move to our tribe so we remember that we remembered i will just explain the then and then we afterwards to come back to this story just to the blessing itself because this is the blessing of the quran that we're blessed so let's finish with that okay all right all right okay afterwards we're gonna come back to it okay so the next blessing is for shimon and levi and uh levi of course as i don't know if you know but this is our tribe for my tribe as a levite and the eliezer tribe i do like this because on zoom you are here but actually i think you are here in uh on youtube in front of me about here i don't know i don't know you're here i think oh like this oh okay uh so eleazar is a coin like um um in the desert huh other side the other side doesn't matter it's a cohen and i'm a levite and both of us from the tribe of uh of uh uh levi the son of jacob and we remember that levy and uh and shimon they uh um came to a village that uh kidnapped their uh sister dinah and they killed all the i will not uh repeat the story but they killed all the village and jacob was very mad on that was very mad about the about what they did and now he decided to to split tell them shimon you will be like all the others uh tribes but levy you won't have place in israel in the land of israel and you will uh split uh for all the tribes and um from this moment that the tribe of levy got the blessing um actually to be what uh we needed to be and praying every day to be to be the the how can i say the priest yeah the priest but but um to to to be uh to work for god this is the the main the main uh mission of this tribe is going to be um on to god actually this tribe and we will see in the future that uh in the desert we will see that we will uh moses will come from this tribe aron the priest will come from this tribe and of course we are praying that maybe eliezer and i we will go soon to the temple and i will you know i will help elias whatever he wants want you know we know the blessing the blessing you know that we bless in a belkat corning you know maybe maybe it's time now um it's a time now of prayer because we do have now still there's a couple of children injured um now in the in these times and and the family that just lost the child in a terror attack and it's it's worth just here before shabbat and the shabbat of blessings and finishing the the book of genesis and and this is the blessing that that jacob blessed his grandchildren and this is the blessing that that we bless the kohanim we bless every day and this is the only thing here the only the only worth that remains from the temple okay there's only one thing one tradition remain from the temple as is the only thing was different is that they said in one sentence not in three parts um like we say today in the blessing but and and with the full name of god but with the same with the same movement in the hands and and the comments say that that the same work this is the only work of sacrifices two thousand years we don't do all of the all of the ceremonies all the songs we don't do but the blessing we do do this is the only ceremony that remained for 2000 years it's the blessings of the quran that we bless every day and this is the blessing that jacob blessed his grandchildren and it goes like this okay we bless oh in the name of of israel this is when we bless our children because also parents bless their children with this blessing the quran bless with the same sentence um at least once a day um and shabbat is twice okay and it fasts it's also twice so this is the blessing please what a second story just to explain you that every morning that we're praying in the synagogue um so when we're uh in the in the in this ceremony what's happening is everybody uh waiting and me as a levite and elizabeth we're going to wash our hand actually i'm going to wash his hand as as a memory for the temple i'm washing the the the priest's hand and then elias are going back in front of all the the people that praying he put on himself uh the talit and all the people put him on themselves the talit uh and put and and holding their children with them under their talit it's a very emotional moment and it's a very powerful uh uh praying that every coin uh doing in every prayer so if you want now to pray for someone and of course that we will pray for for the for the um for the people that uh still injured and and the people from the terrorist attack um and of course if you want to pray for someone so that's it do it so this is the blessing of of uh of jacob and this is and and the words of the blessings are i would i would say and then i will bless with the name of god but first i will say the the explanation it's this is the blessing from our person again that the jacob blessed is his grandchildren this is the blessing that we bless um our children and and the whole world so this is this is um the words it's god as god will bless you god would bless you and he would want you he would keep him god would would light his his face to you and would give you glory god would would raise his face to you and give you peace and would give you peace okay so now we said with the name of hashem this is our blessing this is the blessing that remained from the temple this is what we bless the world out of responsibility out of wanting the glory of god to to shine on the whole world and his whole creation that every person would come back to heaven in this world in this world when we would all get to heaven over here life would be eternal we would we would understand what there is after death but let's first of all make our life that we live in a life that would that would that would be a life that at least in the memory would be a positive memory that's also eternal it's it's part of being eternal yes it's it's it's thinking it's it's thinking in in a in a responsible way that every action that we do would remain and so so this is our blessing child would would get confidence and and that hashem would send them happiness and yeah so it does it hurts so much yes yeah so um i will i will i want to ask you if you want for we just we're going around around uh around the earth in in this earth in this world in this world in this world as one world it's one world with the past with the presence with the future with all of the aspects of the universe that are around it's one world that that comes to this to where we are to to our planet and this planet this eternal planet the the world to come will be revealed from here that's why we need to bring peace over here thank you brother because this is the blessing they come yeah you can find you can find it in uh verse uh in our portion it's uh um we are in 28 27. you can find it over there myself as a child with my grandfather uh in in simchatu in this prayer that they put the like they uh put all the children under the the talit and singing it we need to get used to this to this code would get good news and that this uh shabbat that that we're all coming with with news that are painful to us that we're we're praying in the shabbat that that that the good would win that the good would win that that that the name of god um um would be raised in the world and and the true redemption is is the redemption that we all understand that god is one and whoever really believes in the one god doesn't kill other people in the name of god that's worshiping idols that's not that's not coming in the name of the one god in the name of the one allah in the name of the one hashem it's the same god the name is it's the name of the one our god is one call god god hashem allah we mean the same thing as our creator and we're all the children of the creator and there maybe here is the order between the sons and how and how the blessing comes but the blessing is to everyone and this is what's going to win and and and if there is uh amalek in this generation like the word the nazis like the war all in every generation different um um um um um uh strengths that that that thought that they could they could create an order through killing other people it's not a war of of defense it's not it's not the war of of of of uh uh um of of of your home and protecting your own home it's not about that it's not about that it's not a war of identity it's a war of hate and people can't be educated to hate for sure not in the name of god and this is what needs to be changed and this is what what and the way to change is to understand that there is place to every for everyone in this world if we belong to god and and if we belong to the land and not the opposite and not we always come from a place of what belongs to us no we belong to god and that's why we belong to god's blessing and that's why we're here in the land of god's out of responsibility and out of responsibility to tell the whole world that everyone has this place and everyone is also welcome to hear to the to that to the house of god to pray over here but over here but because you said it's because what wrote in the bible yes and then for those who asking me here in the chat what is allah allah is yeah in arabic allah is god it's not you ask me if allah is the islam god so no because most wait a second yeah yeah yeah wait wait a second wait a second yes most of the muslim people say allah but it's in arabic it's it's like to say god it's the same god this is what elias wanted to say yeah the same god exactly it's on the word the word allah it comes out of the word elokim it's the same letters over here about the people are we're not allowed to to god forbid and put semantics on our relationship with that with the creator the names of god have a deep meaning meaning of our soul a meaning of the heart and over there everything creates to everyone relates to the one creator it's not images it's not images and and from from these images we we think that we could understand the creator through our human through our human mind no let's let's let's let's use our mind as a server of of of of of our of our heart of our soul of our of our faith that there is a good reason to this world and do our best to be good and do our best that would be worth it to everyone here to live up here in peace and and if we need with our straight mind over here to to to finish with this generation of
