from the beginning [Music] no [Music] i know [Music] yes we're just here in a very unique spring in a very uh unique place in the galil uh so before we're gonna go into the spring and shabbat so just you know to join you a bit brother and all friends tell you all shabbat shalom and it's like you can you can uh you can tell them maybe about the uh ritual wash that we used to do before shabbat actually every day but before shabbat there's yes deep meaning it's called mikveh it's it comes out of the world also um it's like hope um and and the ceremonies we just go into the water the the highest is the water of a spring so i'm going out into a very unique spring i won't uh i won't show you exactly over there because i'm not the only one over here yeah but uh but bottom line is is is we create a pure situation um also of intimacy and every person um uh finds a spot goes alone into the water um and it's like going into a womb it's going back into the womb and going into the water and coming out a new person renewing in the in the water of the spring um you could do it also in in rain water and or in waterfalls or in the sea um uh so but but it's the whole idea is that the water cures us so before shabbat it's uh it's also a great time yeah so uh today i felt like uh i need this song because i i i'm i had like uh wow a crazy week with a lot of work i haven't sleep for i haven't slept for a week i think like so i felt like i think this song because this the meaning of this song in hebrew is that if you will keep your bot or when you are keeping shabbat sha what shabbat will keep or what will save you uh so yeah well it's really connected to what you are doing right now like to pee yourself before shabbat and to remember that shabbat this is the deep meaning of of our being yes yes totally totally brothers totally brother and we have also such a unique portion huh yes you're gonna tell you're gonna say now so but before i'm gonna leave let's maybe let me maybe do something opposite because you usually you say you've been debate the story and and then like the meaning but i would just bring a peek from the story of the dream of jacob yeah and he that and in his dream he dreamed and he saw a lather that that the ladder is the the head is touches the sky the heavens and and and the legs of the ladder are on the earth and on that ladder there were angels that go up and down so this this is his dream angels that go up and down so this is we also see over here it's something that shows us a lot about dreams in life yes that we always we need to be grounded we could we could look up to the highest goals and have the highest streams but we always need to be with our legs on the ground and also the true angels they have a movement of up and down it's always it's always there's a there's movement in life we need to love the highs and we need to love the downs and it's not downs of depression if we know that there is an energy that there is a specific high energy and there's a different specific uh lower energy uh sometimes and both of them strength each other it's like now exactly you said you had a whole week of high energy now you need to rest better okay it's the opposite i have a week with energy but now i i will get now now in shabbat i will get the energy for the next week right exactly yes yes it's snowing you know it's not fighting it so yeah it's also resting it's also getting new energy and it's also it's also and this place allows us to be to be together with what whoever we're close with and and just just to exist and it's it's par it's part of the movement of life that we always need to have you know the place that we're running for the place that we're going out and the way that we're just receiving what's inside already amen you're right yeah love you so much brother it's your son yes yes yes they're here with me we're waiting for for that place for the place that that everyone would live there and then we're going to go in yeah it's like it's a very it's it's in a cave it's a very unique place like there's it's a spring in a cave something beautiful oh welcome to the galil it's uh the north of israel it's a very holy spirit yeah i think that the tourism to israel is like started to be open and we're waiting for you here in jaffa in jerusalem you know this jerusalem so let us know when usual i think uh and i will say a couple of things about the portion uh feel free i see the chat uh now so feel free to to let me know if you want to ask something if you want to say something about the portion so as i'm saying all the time i'm not the the only one that that know um it's not like every time i'm saying that it's not like only one truth there is a couple of ways to to see everything so feel free to write whatever you want i will go like um um first i will i will say a couple of things about the portion about the simple story and i'll i will say uh i think today only one thing that i saw in the portion that really interesting uh and just represent a little bit about the things that behind the words beyond behind the simple story because as i'm telling you every day there is the story and the things that behind it and this is one of the things why i really want you to know and to learn more hebrew because that when you understand hebrew so you can understand a little bit why uh the torah in hebrew is something that and the hebrew language is something it's going together because in hebrew every letter and every uh word has couple of meanings it's not that we want to to be smart so we're saying this is one of the reason this is one explanation and this is one explanation it's because there is in hebrew for every war there is couple of meanings so today in the portion we're uh seeing that uh uh jacob is uh leaving his house he's gonna live for 20 years and he's not going to see his uh his mother again and the reason why he left because he afraid from assad um that his brother because he took uh uh the blessings from him and uh telling him uh leave leave your home because the son will hurt you actually the the the right exactly what she said she said i don't want like the two of my brothers to die so it means that jacob is a fighter too yeah like he know how to fight too because that's why we see when wilka said i don't want like the the both of my brother with that where my sons will die so jacob is uh uh starting to travel he went to uh the sister of uh levan and he's starting to walk and when he's passing on jerusalem he go he passed in jerusalem and then he gets um [Music] it's in hebrew but l the meaning in english is the house of the lord he is fallen asleep and then he's dreaming the the dream that eliezer said and in a dream he you see the angel going up and down and i think it's a very famous story and you can find a lot of explanation about this story but i want you to focus on something uh specific that that we see in this portion that i i think that this is like something very important that we will um speak a lot on it in the in the future in the other person is about the promise that uh god uh doing with uh uh the blessing that is give specific to yakko and he said to your quote [Music] and your seed should be as dust of the earth uh and you should gain strength western and eastern and northern and southwest and truth or should this uh bless the families of the earth and truth your sid um so i think it's the first time that as we know that jacob uh he got the blessing from um from his father but i think it's the first time that actually jacob after he fell asleep and he's talking you see all all the things he started to get a blessing directly from god and i think that this is like something very uh important to remember from this portion because from from now and on all the things that will happen to israel is and all the protection of the protect that we israel got until today is from this moment that god uh promised to uh jacob um that he will keep him uh safe he will protect him and he will spread his seed from all over uh the earth and um this is the first uh time that we see on jacob and we know that in the next portions we will see that jacob will change his name to israel israel israel like um and then the sons of uh yakov there will be am israel until today um so this is like the first time that we see it in the in the and later is uh in the end of the portion is is is a finding the brother of there is a lot of things over there and a lot of stories about uh how la van trying to actually to to to is uh it's not a very nice guy lavan and lavon when he met yakov he remembered that is a father [Music] there is something not close between them because he got his car and he didn't pay so when yakov coming he said all right so he's happy at the beginning but then you understand uh that that yeah kob is like running from his uh family from his brother and he don't have anything to bring him so we said okay so work in my house and i will bring you my daughter he wanted and then leon there is a story with her sister that actually levan is like uh cheating him and in the day that he needs you to come and to to be with uh with hana to bring why you did it to me why were you cheating on me why you bring milia and he said you know what you want leia so after you promised me to work for me seven years for this gun so now please work for me another seven years for leon and i will give you uh [Music] rahel i said hannah sorry so um he married married [Music] and then he decided that he want to go back he got a uh god telling him you need to go back and the things that uh jacob did for lavan is to work with his ships and uh he's doing like a small trick uh cheating him a little bit yakov is uh telling him okay so let's uh let's split uh the ships and there's like a a long story i i won't go deep to this story but in the end he's telling him if i will uh if there will be uh black sheeps or ships with the signs so it will be mine if it will be only white it will be yours lavon said okay if you want and then all the ships uh uh that coming from this uh group they all not white and it's like kind of a miracle that he did uh jacob with uh there's a lot of things in this story that i don't want to go deep to this and then levan said you know what just uh just leave and jacob uh is taking no he said you cheated me and jacob said i just want to leave lavan don't let him to leave and then he is taking leia and asking her and telling them a very important thing that i wanted to speak with you about about it and telling him you know your father is not doing um he's not go is not like a honest person because when i came to what we know that when someone gonna get married so um their parents uh in the jewish faith and i think it's all over the world the parents giving a gift to uh to the people that getting married but in this case instead lavan instead of to to give a present to to leia and jacob what he did he said if you want my daughter you need to work for me and this is what jacob telling them to leia and and when he telling them this he said they said okay so you're right let's leave and when he's leaving uh lavan is like running after him we know that in the in the in our bible there is a lot of stories about people that are leaving and then um running people running after like in the exodus uh escape from egypt with um but when he's leaving and and and and levanak running after him and and reach him so jacob telling him something very interesting there is more stories over there there's so many stories in this portion i can't get into it but i want to focus on something very specific jacob telling you something very interesting about what lavon is going to tell you levant telling him look i have the power to do miracles because we know that lavon is uh is known to do magics and all these kind of things and i can i can kill you i can do it and i can get all all my things back and i can i can do a lot of things but your god your god that's what how lavan said your god told me not to do it so i'm not doing it and jacob saying something amazing amazing amazing he said it's so sad for me to hear this thing because you wanted to kill me and to kill you or maybe to kill your daughter too or maybe to kill the father of your grandsons but you didn't do it only because god told you what about me i worked for you for 20 years what about friendship and when i saw this uh verse in the persian i i i felt like very it's very interesting because you know you i was thinking okay so jacob will say thanks god that you told him not to kill me but jacob you know he was a man of of a people he was a man it's not just it's not just like that that he was chosen to to lead and to to call israel and to lead the world he was the man of the people and when levan telling him i wanted to kill you but i didn't do it because your god told me let's make him sad because jekyll you believe in people and i think that this is represent maybe uh the way that we see israel uh the people of israel the way that we are um need to look on the word and of course all the world needs to look on each other this is one of the things that the torah learn teaching us that you can believe in god and and this is the most important thing but at the same time you must to believe in people you must to believe that they don't need to getting to the end of the road and to almost kill you and that god will stop them they need to uh to want to do a peace and we want a award with people that want by themselves to live in a peace to have a peace and to do peace and this is why jacob uh getting really sad about what they love i'm telling you all right um so i see the people here asking for uh ketel the strongcatter i want to say that this uh uh portion um a lesson is for and you can write here in the
