shalom sorry now you hear me okay okay okay sorry about it uh okay so i will start from the beginning uh almost shalom hello everybody thank you for joining me um so um i said when when there wasn't sound uh i i just said that we tried to do this uh event a little bit before uh a little bit earlier than usual because as you know we are artists men eliezer botser and both of us um performing we have concert in thursday evening so right now in israel it's evening most of the time we're doing it in in after around 10 p.m israeli time so it started to be a little bit hard for us so let me know we're going to speak about the portion in the in the torah portion what we are learning i'm trying to bring my perspective uh with hebrew with things that i think that a little bit harder for you uh to understand when you don't understand hebrew because as you know the the torah was uh uh it's wroten it was writing in in hebrew um so i will try to bring this perspective about the hebrew and the second thing as i saying every week that we have in every uh uh portion lesson where the shot shot is the simple story and we have the rush it's the stories behind and the secret the sword um that this is like kind of thing that sometimes i'm adding more but it's uh sometimes it's a little bit complicated for this lesson um so i will start soon with a simple lesson with a simple story and now i'm going to do the blessing for healing this lesson will be and i'm looking now in the chat for uh all right forever um all right and for all others people that need healing may this listen will be uh for praying for their and not the all right so in this uh week we're going to read in the synagogue the portion called itro um it's a i think it's one of the most important portions that we have in this uh in the torah in this portion the israeli people the hebrew people actually the israeli people getting uh the torah the the ten commandments um and it's a very important moment i as you know it's very hard to choose what to speak about what to speak and because there is so many subjects in every portion but i decided to choose something that i think it's very interesting um um so first i will just go with all the simple story and then i will uh i will focus on two stories that i want to to go with them little bit deeper with their idea um so in this story uh the hebrew people just crossed the sea uh and they had a miracle of the man the food that they got from the from the sky and they are coming to uh sinai mountain that as you know uh this mountain will be uh joining us right now okay hey brother i didn't know if you're gonna join us we're here it's fun nice yes yes yes and the old city here you see the mountains over here nice yes how are you beautiful it's beautiful it's um it was snowing this morning ah we are here yes we're an amazing uh you know in a pure in a pure environment it's uh it's white like a bride so it's all so beautiful amazing i just uh in in the middle of the explanation of the of the story i will finish it and then we will try to to focus on two uh two things one that i uh prepared and one that you preferred uh so uh we are right now the the israeli people coming to the mount of sanay uh as you know this is the mountain that we will get the bible uh the hebrew people the israeli people will get not the bible the bible and or the ten commandment uh over there and there is a lot of things that's going to happen there um they are waiting there uh they are hearing uh sounds and moses uh and the hearing uh part of the rules and the um the things that god telling them then they are a little bit afraid from it i can say and then moses said the the rest of the the rules the commandment um and i think that this is like i can i can say the the headlines the titles of of this portion um and uh what do you wanna maybe you can i every week i'm i'm telling you can you flip the cover but i don't know if this is the word can you what is the right word to say it is it okay now the other yeah what is the right way to say it whatever you know flip you know everyone is flipped today so why not maybe that made the machines need to be cool yes all right um um maybe maybe maybe i would um focus on the ten commandments um i i think that um you know there is there is um um the source of of the rules uh of of god uh the torah has 613 uh basic uh rules but the ten commandments are the center or the heart of the rules um and and that's why they were brought in a separate way they were brought in the and the tabernacles um um uh and and they symbolized a lot the time also the tabernacles there's a lot they say a lot about the tabernacles that that the letters weren't uh written on it they were they were like um they were like um um cut from inside um i don't i don't know exactly what the right word is but like like you could there's air like you could move like you could put a stick through the rock you know through the full leather yes it's not it's not written it's it's like scratched but it's like it's cut through the rock um and like the light came came came through the through the letters um and and and it's and it symbolizes a lot because in hebrew it's called uh it's the same letters of freedom but also yes but but also it's also very cool when you when you got rules you become free it's like uh it's like there's like a story that uh we use a lot that when you have a a border so you can be free to to be close to the border but when you don't have a border like in in front of uh i don't know if you're standing on a big uh um uh building or something and you don't have um a border uh border is the right way at the rest yeah the border so you can you you're afraid to to go uh to the end of the building so the more you have rules you feel it's it's the right way to say it in english it's beautiful it's beautiful it's beautiful you're saying it's also very connected because you could see that there was a miracle in two of the letters one of the letters that if it's like that so when two letters it's it's it doesn't make sense because there's two letters in hebrew one letter is mem that the shape is a square so it means that the middle of the square is on the air you understand if everything if it's not written it's like it's there's a it's you write with like through creating a hole in the rock so the middle of the square stands on the air so it's it's a miracle and also is a circle so also the middle stands in the air and and and both of these letters they symbolize first of all something very important that relates to what you just now said that a square symbolizes a frame and the circle symbolizes um the the the journey that never ends the love yeah the circle as you could see that also um um the scene of the craft is right and libra it's also yeah it's only it's been with the circle alone without a square just to explain it and a girl in hebrew is like very similar uh words and egyl mean uh is the craft it's the crown is a circle a circle exactly exactly so if if we want god with only the circle only the love without the frame so it's so it's the craft yes but but also we could see that also if we have the frame without the circle it's not it's not the full picture so we need both of them in life we need to have also the place of the of the vessels of the frame and also the place of the love of the circle of of the reason all the time and this is this is the answer the essence of the rules that we could see all the time and so this is one thing i want to say but i do want also to refer to the rules themselves that there's also we see there's 10 commandments and the and the 10 commandments were written in a way that there were two um uh tabernacles okay it's two top renocals so it's two pieces of stone okay and there were five commandments and every one of them okay so and one and the first one they say that the commandments are ben adam lamakom are between the man and god and the second one the second tabernacle is between the man and his friend ben adam okay it's it's how to function as a society but we see that there's a lot of comments that that connect between both of the tabernacles in such a way okay that if we put diamonds on everyone okay if we put both of the tabernacles one next to each other okay so one refers to six two refers to seven three refers to eight four refers to nine ten before and uh five refers to ten okay so you could see in all these prophecies like i would give examples i won't go to all of them but i would let's say let's let's go to one and six so one is there's one god okay there's one god there's one god okay and six is don't kill right we're not allowed to and how to kill anyone so here's the connection why do they refer to each other because if you believe in one god so you need to understand that god is the creator who are who is us to to kill someone and and to hurt this one of the world so every person kills so he he doesn't believe in one god because treats something he says we don't have the same god this is something very interesting it's for me the first time to hear it that that we we can look on the on the i would just want to to to explain to you to dwell i don't know if everybody just understood it that we can take uh uh one commandment and sixth commandment and like two and seven and three and eight like like the uh like it like moses gave it uh like god gave it and we we can find uh secret connection why because that's why because one tabernacle was between the man and god and the second one is between the man and his friend between the society so here we see the connection that actually being proper people is being mans of god and being mans of god is being proper people it's the same but we see it's different rules but but but it's rules that reform the same essence because believing in one god it doesn't allow us to be an ideology of murder this is this is beautiful and i want to ask you all of us that watching us right now i would love you if you if you want you can write us in the comments what uh connection did you find in the in the commandment uh again it was uh five and five commandments so the first one yes please you could see we could give it more examples like there's that but give us another one yeah so let's let's go to the second one okay so the second one is don't have any other god okay okay don't create sculptures okay and and the seventh one okay it's lot enough is don't be moved by your sexual life okay and in a wrong way so you see that here is something very very critical because what is the ideology why do people want to create something else all the time want to create an image it's because people want their imagination i don't want the truth don't want to be loyal to the truth they don't want to be loyal to what demands from you to to to love what you have so you always want what you don't have so we always create our god you always create an other image so that's why it goes together you know if if you won't be loyal to god emunah is also a muna's faith it's also the letters of a moon of trust and and and if we don't we're not people of trust so we are always we're always moved by our desires in such a way that we want only what's not ours this is beautiful it's hey disconnected this is this is beautiful and i want to ask you again please write us in the comments if you see another connection between the commandment take the first one and the sixth the sev the the second and the saying as we both of us we're saying every week um it's not that that if elias is going to say now the connection between one and six so this is the only connection the torah has 70 faces and it invites all of us to see ourselves in it that's that's so important studying the torah there's a it's not the torah is not of debates self-connection so we need to search for the connection all the time okay so here so here let's find another another example of connection sure this is an inspiration for everyone to search and find more more explanations and so let's look at three and we see and three and eight so three is don't raise the name of god for no reason or don't swear in the name of god if there's no if without for no for no reason um and and that reforms to don't steal we could see today something very very critical of manipulation we could use god as a joker as a joker of the game and and that that's wrong god god demands everyone to to to to take responsibility on ourselves not to not to be people of manipulations not to steal minds not to steal thoughts and not to be missionaries not to use the name of god for our own sakes okay and over here it gives us a very very big responsibility whoever raises the name of god doesn't make him more holy makes him more responsible on himself wow this is this is because if not you you still you still the the name of god or the idea of god or like you still yes so so yeah so it's a big responsibility you know for sure we all like singing we love holy whoever is really holy does does it and does it in a very careful way if a person sings in the bathroom a holy song that doesn't make him more holy it makes he makes the only the holiness cheap sorry so so again if a person um um um steals so what does a person do actually he takes someone something from someone else without them being aware so so this is the biggest manipulation to use god because god is everyone's well i'm i'm going to check it later uh it's the first time for me to to hear about this this thing it's uh there's a lot of secrets here and a lot of people because we got already to the end so we we have another two examples so four's shabbat refers to not lying teaches us how to be out of the game what does it mean to be out of the game to stop to be a person that's able to stop it's it's we don't need to always make up a story who are you i'm who i am that that's what god told him i will be what i'll be i am who i am yes it's not it's not it's not you don't need always to make up a story we're not a competition with anyone we're not in a race with everyone be who you are say what you feel say what you have to say that's the that's the base of dialogue that's the basis of study that's the best of growing is and and for them we need to know how to be a people that stop that know how to how to keep our being and in that way we don't need to always do in order to create an image that's that's that's that's that's that's that's not that's not the witness of what there is of the truth and the truth is the most beautiful thing okay the the the fifth thing is that's why i wanted to get to it because it has it's it's to honor our appearance and this is actually in the in the first tabernacle it's the tabernacle of a person and god honoring our parents it's a relationship with god it's not between a man and his friend it's not a relationship it's not a human relationship our parents our relationship with our parents god chose our parents for us uh because our parents they yeah as i said as you said they they choose they was chosen by god yeah or chosen by yourself so we respect your parents you respect god you know and that's the place and that refers to is don't want what's not yours don't want your your friend's house your friend's wife and that's and that's exactly our relationship with our parents want what's yours want your own sources your own your own roots your own family your own story love your story be proud of your story wake up the morning look at your view and say wow this is my view look at your family say wow this is my family want was yours grown from there that's your i want to share with you another a small story that i found in this portion that i found interesting for me it's the connection the the the relationship between it um the father of sipora the wife of moses and between etron and moses and they have like very interesting uh relationship when um moses coming back from egypt uh so we talked kip is uh keep zipporah and his sons i don't know if you knew it that they wasn't in the in the exodus uh their sons of the sons of moses since power there was in it house they waited and when they met so moses telling him all the story and think about it like mode is coming back with almost three million people it's always like think about this situation like watching most like what what it's it's i think it's it's it's something that i don't know how i would react to this thing but anyway when they're starting to to to talk and then like they're waiting couple of days um so uh moses start to judge the the people they're coming to him and because it moses know all the rules and he speak with god so they're all coming to him and asking for him to you know to decide to judge between people between things to tell what is right or what is wrong and it's all coming to him and the first thing that he's telling him is why does all these people coming to you what is this and moses is a very smart man and he's telling him they're coming to me to ask me what is the rules and for and ask me to judge them through god words and then itro telling him but it's not too hard for you maybe you need to to to to bring more people to judge for you you can you can teach them and then they can understand and to judge instead of you maybe bring 100 to one just to explain the the idea so it sounds like a small talk i don't know like conversation with no reason but as you know in the in the in the torah for everything we have a reason so i find really interesting the way that moses act you know ital wasn't hebrew he was the priest a very important priest not not hebrew man not not jewish not israeli whatever you want to call it and it was a very important man and when he saw the the hebrew people like coming to moses and and they were slaves think about it and it was like in the in the top of the of the world of this day of median so we asking moses like what what what they are coming to you what is this thing like so mother could could tell him what do you want where's why why speak like this you know it's happened to you in your life that someone coming to you ask you something and then you're telling me why you speak to me like this you don't focus on the subject so moses is so humble although it was coming with kind of attacking him and asking why they are all coming to you what is this all this mess moses telling him i'm judging them and they need me that's why and then it will change going back and telling him i'm asking this because i'm worried for you maybe you can bring this work uh to to to others to help you so we can see here how much moses was humble and smart and how much we can learn from it when sometimes people coming to you would kind of attack like like i don't know why you park here you you it's it's i'm letting while you park here you can say and one one option is to say why are you shouting with me what is this what are you doing the second option is you tell sorry that you are late what you you want me to move my car so we can learn from moses how he knew how to put to to to to to release from himself um all the the the the loudness of of of his feelings about what people telling him and it was really focused about how to lead it to understand that there is something bigger here and not to fight with him and this is something very important that we can learn from this small conversation between two people very important people one is the biggest prophet ever and the second one i see that someone asked me here uh what type of priest was it all and so the second one is is the priest of median the the highest priest of media two important people of this generation um [Music] that uh talking to each other and moses put his ego [Music] send his ego outside and stay humble
