hi this is dski welcome to par five this is where we give a little F minute idea on the parha that is suitable for saying over at your shabas table or for framing and hanging on your wall whatever works best for you uh Paras Noah yeah uh there's a flood of ideas in this week's para but uh I don't want to water it down but uh there's a lot of different ideas that we can talk about and uh one of the ideas I want to talk about is uh the rainbow the rainbow is a very interesting the gamar says that you're not supposed to stare at a rainbow and in fact the gamar kadan has very harsh words for people who stare at a rainbow now that's kind of strange because we know you make a braa when you see uh uh rainbow the answer is the difference between seeing and staring person can look at something and a person can stare at something you don't have a right to stare at it and one of the reasons is that the uh the rainbow is a manifestation of's glory and you see it in that the rainbow represents H's power and strength in this world so um uh why is that what was chosen to indic indicate the bris that Hashem said that he would never destroy the world again I think and I have not seen this anywhere it's my own idea but I think it's because the rainbow is white light that you have applied a prism to and it divides into different colors known by the acronym Roy G Biv at least when I was a kid that's what they used red orange yellow green blue indigo and violet many times I've said this over and people said to me what is indigo and I said it's a color in between blue and violet I hope that helps but uh what's the idea the idea is that when you look at white light white light really is made up of a prism but in order to have the white light each one of the colors has to be in its correct position and when they join together they create white light but as we all know if you take all those colors and you mush them together in one big mush what do you get you get black black represents lack of existence that's why atter space is black the sun represents D absolute judgment and nothing can stand in D so if you look up at the sun all you see around it is Blackness non-existence white white which represents Purity which represents you know potential all those kind of things so the white light only exists if all of the colors go where it belongs what did the D Mable do they broke down all of the barriers yeah there was no concept of of uh husbands and wives there was no concept of personal property there was no concept of of of any limitations everything fell apart and that's where the punishment that they got was a flood because when you put something in water it dissolves it just turns into mush they had destroyed all their barriers and so when you see the rainbow it reminds us that if we want to be successful we have to keep up our barriers what does this tell us today when we see every barrier falling apart as the last mission in sa tells us before mashia comes everything's going to fall apart the young will have no respect for the old the simple will have no respect for Tam yeah everything everything is going to fall apart and we see today everybody can self-identify to be anything they want there's no more gvulot not limited by Nature not limited by science not limited by um genetics anybody can be anything they want every barrier is down the message is build a boat no I'm I'm just kidding of course because we look at the rainbow and remember Hashem will never destroy the world by that method again but that let's just put it this way if you look up in the sky and you see a rainbow and you know there is a particular um movement that uses the rainbow as their method and it's one of the things that identified the dam so work that out for yourselves my friends the point is that as much as we can we need to establish borders and limitations and the more that we establish guot and those borders the more successful we will be good job
