cantor Jacob Konigsberg was born in cleveland, he had studied since his youth in leading yehsivot in New York, including Yeshivah Torah Vodat, and Yeshivah University, where his colleagues included Noah Schall and Moshe Nulman. He also studied privately with cantor luis lipitz. Konigsberg at the age of 28 made his New York debut as a cantorial vertuso at town hall, in 1950. in addition he has held leading cantorial positions including Congregation Kehilath Jeshurum of New York City and Congregation Shaarey Tefillah of Los Angeles, where the legendary Leib Glantz had Previously served. He also served at the Chicago Loop Synagogue for over 15 years.
