Cantor Leibele Schwartz Z"L 1931- 1992 Singer and actor. Born in Brody (today Ukraine) as Yehuda Kirzner Schwartz, he moved with his family to Buenos Aires aged eight, where learn piano and singing, and took interest in jewish liturgy. In 1959 he moved to South Africa, where he sang for three years in "Beth Hamedrash Hagadol Sandton" temple in Johannesburg, then sang five years in the "Congregation Share Zedek" in New York city. He also performed concerts in th3 United States, Europe, Latin America, and Israel, and was known worldwide as a magnificent lyric tenor. He had recorded seven LP's, singing liturgical, Chassidic and folkloric songs. In 1970 he returned to Argentina contracted by the Israeli Congregational Synagogue of Buenos Aires, also known as the "Liberty Temple", as its "Main Singer". He was the father of actor and producer Adrián Suar (Adrián Kirzner Schwartz), born in New York City.
