Pinchas Borenstein - cantor. Born September 15, 1889 in a suburb of Warsaw in the small town Jeziorna Królewska (Kingdom of Poland Russian Empire; now Poland) in a religious family. His father, Yaakov Dov - a rabbi. Four of his sons became cantor. As a child, Pinchas Borenstein was a chorister synagogue choir in Warsaw. His first post was cantor at the age of 19 years. Immigrated to Argentina in 1923. In 1924, was promoted to chief cantor Great Synagogue of Buenos Aires, which served for 30 years. He was the organizer and first president of the Association of Cantors South America. Under the pseudonym Pedro Borini (Pedro Borini) appeared on Argentine radio with a repertoire of operatic arias. He toured in Argentina, Canada and the USA. Pinchas Borenstein died of a heart attack June 17, 1955 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
