You need money?
Are you looking to get married?
You have a bad marriage?
Looking for a better relationship?
You feel like things in your life are
stuck and nothing is going anywhere?
So, pay attention to this short video.
Tonight, we're celebrating the seventh
day of Passover, Shvii shel Pesach.
Anything that is hard for a person,
like splitting the sea,
for example, Parnassah, your livelihood,
finding your other half,
tonight, all the gates are going to
open. So, pay good attention.
So, what are these keys of this holiday
that the holiday is offering to
to open tonight?
Then, as we know, the nation of Israel
went out of Egypt
towards Mount Sinai.
And on the way out, they reached to the
ocean where they couldn't go any
further.
One group said, "Let's just jump in the
ocean and commit suicide. We're not
going back to Egypt." Another group
said, "No. Commit suicide? No, no, no.
We're going to fight the Egyptians."
Another group said, "We can't fight.
Then, we don't even have an army. Let's
just surrender and go back to Egypt."
And the fourth group said, "No, no.
Let's pray to Hashem and he will do a
miracle."
When this question was presented to the
leader, to Moshe Rabbeinu, Moshe
Rabbeinu asked Hashem, "What should I
do?" Hashem commanded him, "Vayisa,
continue going."
The whole night, they didn't know what
to do. The ocean is on one side, the
Egyptians are coming from behind,
and early in the morning, one
individual, Nachshon ben Aminadav, jumps
into the water and the sea splits, and
the nation of Israel crosses the sea and
they're saved. And this is what we're
celebrating and commemorating tonight
and tomorrow morning.
So, here's our answer.
How do you get the sea to split? You
jump. Like Nachshon Aminadav. It's
called the Kfitzat Nachshoni. Just jump
into the water, go straight forward into
the issue, and jump into the water, the
sea will split. Here's your answer.
Let's create a new motion. Let me create
a new action full of courage, and I'll
jump into the water.
Sounds pretty simple.
But that's not the answer. There's
something way more deeper than than just
jumping into the water with a little bit
of courage.
You need to create a new action. But
what is the new action that most people
think? If I'm lacking Parnassah, if I'm
not doing well in business, then I think
that my new action is to invest more in
marketing or advertising or to cut
expenses, which all of the above is
good, but that's not the action that is
required.
If I'm looking to find my other half,
what is the next action? Go on another
website, go on another date, another
dating service. There's a lot actions
one can do to solve their problems.
But that's not the action that is
required from us to do.
A different action is required from us
to do.
Not necessarily what we are familiar
with.
And the courage that is
required to add to this new action
is not necessarily
the faith that one might say, "Oh, I
need to have faith that Hashem will make
it happen." That's not the courage that
I'm talking about. There's something
much more deeper here that you need to
pay attention and to apply into your
life.
The splitting of the sea, Kriat Yam Suf,
was the result,
not the action.
I'll give you an example.
A man wants to express his love and
appreciation to his wife, and he buys
her a beautiful diamond ring.
The diamond ring represents his love.
The diamond ring represents the
connection that the man has to the woman
in in his appreciation.
We don't want to serve the diamond. We
don't want to go after the diamond.
That's not what we're serving.
The diamond is just the result of the
love.
The diamond is the result of the
connection.
Kriat Yam Suf, the splitting of the sea,
is the result of our connection with
God.
Nachshon ben Aminadav didn't jump into
the water out of fear or out of anxiety.
That type of jumps only causes more
problems, causes you to become more
engaged in the issue and sucked into a
deeper vortex.
Nachshon jumped into the water, a jump
of faith.
A jump that is connected to our
relationship.
When I go through this journey of life,
but this journey is done from a deep
connection to the creator, and this
connection is dependent on listening, on
being present, to understanding what God
wants from me, to hearing what God is
talking to me, to know really what God
wants me to do, then I'm not driven by
fear, and I don't operate from anxiety.
Rather, I'm driven and I'm operated
from this deep connection that I have to
the master of the universe. And that's
what brings the results. That's what
brings the splitting of the sea.
Now, I don't want to run after the
results. That's not what I want to focus
on. I don't want to pursue the results.
I want to focus on the relationship. I
want to run after the relationship that
I have and could have with the creator
of the world. So, what do I need to do?
Tonight, we stay up all night. We read
Tehillim. We learn Torah. We read a few
chapters of the book of Bamidbar and a
few other things. So, as usual, I've
prepared a page on my website at
smooth.org/yamsuf,
where you can find all the instructions
of what need what you need to do
tonight, including all the prayers that
we need to recite, all the instructions,
and you can download it in a PDF so you
can have it printed for you. Early in
the morning, you go and pray Shacharit
in a minyan as soon as you can. Pray at
dawn. And at the time that we sing
Shirat Hayam, the splitting of the sea,
this is the highest moment of the
holiday, where your kavana, your
intentions has to be that Hashem should
bless you with true faith and true
bitachon, true
true
faith and and and and believe in Hashem.
After that, we recite our prayers. Now,
normally, I would tell you ask at this
point for whatever you want for
yourself, cuz the gates of heavens are
open. Today, what we're going to do is
you're going to pray for somebody else.
If you need Parnassah, then you pray for
somebody else to get the get the
Parnassah. If you need to meet your
other half, then pray for all the single
people. If you need health, then pray
for all the all the other sick people.
The advantage the advantage of that is
that our sages say, "Hamitpalel
l'chavero na'aneh techilah." If you pray
for your other friend for your friend,
then you your prayers will be answered
first. And of course, a big question
that I get, do women have to do it?
They don't have to.
But my suggestion is to do it. When I
asked my rabbi 20 years ago if women
need to stay up all night in Shvii shel
Pesach and read the Tehillim and pray,
he says, "What? The women were not there
in Yetziat Mitzrayim? The women didn't
go through the sea? Women don't need
Parnassah? When somebody needs their
other half, only the men are looking for
their other half? The women don't need
salvation? Besides, right after going
through the the sea, Vatetzé Miriam,
Miriam went out and did a huge party for
all the women." Why would women want
want to want to participate in such a
wonderful thing? If you can't stay up
all night, then go to sleep and wake up
at 2:00 in the morning. Or go to sleep
early or wake up later, but I believe
that women should participate in
everything that I said as much as
possible to the best of their abilities.
And last but not least, one of the most
important things of the equation is to
create a vessel. How do you create a
vessel? By giving charity, by helping
another person, then you create a vessel
where you can receive the blessing.
So, I've advertised in the last couple
days that we were running a Pesach
campaign where we're helping hundreds of
families with their Pesach expenses,
with meat, with wine, with clothes, with
food.
Baruch Hashem, we were able to help
hundreds and hundreds of families, but
as usual, we gave more than what we
have, so we're still running the Pesach
campaign. If you want to create a good
vessel to receive the bracha, please
participate in the Pesach campaign. Go
and visit the page on at
smooth.org/pesach,
where you'll find all the information.
We have some great promotions and gifts.
You can receive some of my special wine
from Israel.
And Be'ezrat Hashem, that is what
creates the true vessel to receive the
bracha. When you able to give from
yourself, then you make room for Hashem
to give you.
More than that, I'm going to be praying
in a few holy sites throughout the
holiday. If you want to submit names for
me to pray for you on your prayer on
your behalf, use the same page at
smooth.org/yamsuf,
where you find all the instructions,
you'll find the place where you can
submit names, and I will pray on your
behalf, Be'ezrat Hashem.
All the donations collected from this
campaign is given to poor people, so you
are participating in another mitzvah,
and needless to say, greatly ning your
vessel to receive more and more of
Hashem's blessings.
So, to summarize for you this important
message,
the size of the blessing that you need,
that's the size of the sacrifice that
you need to put.
Staying up all night, that's a big
sacrifice. Reading Tehillim for 3 4
hours, that's a big sacrifice. And many
other things that you do in your life is
a big sacrifice. But the secret is,
the greater the blessing that you is
required in your life,
that's the amount of sacrifice you need
to put. The more sacrifice you will put,
the greater you'll see the revealed
blessing in your life.
So, what you need to do is really
work on your connection with Hashem
and deepen that connection. And that
means wherever I'm weak, then I need to
become stronger.
Wherever I fail a lot, then to put as
much as effort as I can not to fail over
there. Wherever I can add, then to add.
Hashem knows what you need. Hashem knows
if you need money. Hashem knows if you
need to my find your other half. He
knows exactly what you need.
So, don't run after the result.
Run after the connection with Hashem.
Focus on Hashem.
Chag sameach, and may Hashem answer all
of our prayers and bless us with
everything that we need in order to
serve him in the best way possible.
Happy Passover, Shabbat Shalom, and
blessings from the Holy Land.
