we had a extraordinary shab at Gabriel
bharian community in New York
extraordinary lectures we did many of
them and uh lot of T A lot of and I
wanted to um go over a few things
because with so much Torah and and so
much Purity coming to the world there's
always going to be some impurity
uh this versus this Hashem created
meaning that for every pound or kilogram
or meter or any measure of Kusa that
hasem created he also against it uh he
created tum he created impurity because
everything has to be leveled if there
wasn't a if it wasn't a leveled world
then it would either be too pure which
would mean it would be gun Ed in or if
it was too much impurity then it would
be G so
gave us the same opportunity uh you know
the the same tools to use either forus
or for T so this is one of the main
things that we learned
from when uh we hear the first verse of
the Tor first verse of the par where
mosu says I begged hasem at the time
saying my Lord Hashem
Elohim you have begun to show me your
servant show your servant your greatness
and your your strong hand what power
there is in the heaven or the Earth that
can perform according to your deeds and
according to your Mighty acts so here
mosenu is telling us that he's begging
AEM 515 times because we know that the
uh numeric the gatria the numerical
value of V the first word of the par
meaning begged I I I begged his
numerical value is 5155 and also the
numerical value for the word which is
prayer is also
515 so mosu in essence is saying here
that I beg theem to let me in to the
land of Israel and uh but at the same
token he's telling Hashem that I know
that everything that you're doing here
is showing me your greatness and your
strong hand uh your Deeds your Mighty
acts and ultimately it's uh obviously
showing us that Hashem is a uh is just
with everything that he's doing he's
just still trying to overcome this
decree so first and foremost we should
know that when mosenu is mentioning here
uh your greatness and your strong hand
he's mentioning two separate things uh
just like the word uh Adonai uh which is
my Lord in the literal translation it's
a uh referencing Mercy uh the the the
second name Hashem for for hem is
actually referencing hashem's uh Dean
which is Judgment so just like he these
two names each of Hashem are
representing two different things
greatness is also ref referencing uh
mercy and strong hand obviously is
referencing judgment and the same thing
with the end of the verse Deeds meaning
good deeds and and just deeds and mighty
acts meaning again judgment so we see
that mosenu is showing us that uh uh
three words are in essence
synonymous uh and to
uh mercy and three words are in essence
synonymous or representing the same
thing as far as judgment so mosenu here
is begging hem to use both his mercy and
his righteousness as far as his
judgment and and deciding to let him in
to the land of Israel now we've talked
about this in the past of why hasem
ultimately decided and told him it's too
much for you you're you know don't don't
pray another time don't pray the 56 time
uh because at that point I would have to
let you into the land and I don't want
to let you into the land because if I
let you into the land you're going to
build a bet mikdash and if you build it
then I will not be able to destroy it a
thousand years later or over a thousand
years later when am sins with idol
worship with murder with the sex crimes
the three three major sins of the first
bet
mikdash and uh if you build it I won't
be able to destroy it which would mean I
would have to destroy the nation of
Israel so
nonetheless the bigger question here is
why is
Moses begging Hashem to go into the land
of Israel I mean technically right now
if he dies he's going into the real
world he's going
intoa he's going into the
ultimate this is the prophet of all
prophets why is he so
gung-ho about going into the land I mean
what's the big deal I mean you're going
into a much better world and this is
something that we really need to
understand which is the whole purpose of
this
K allu wanted to do was serve AEM and he
was even willing as we uh as we learned
from the midash from Rashi he was even
willing to go into the land of Israel
and not even be the leader just to uh
just to go in there and just fulfill one
more Mitzvah just one more mitvah just
just fulfill one more mitzvah for for in
the Tor so we see thatu truly knows the
value of one Mitzvah and how it's all of
the gold and all of the silver and all
of the money and all of the wealth that
was ever that ever
existed for all of mankind is not even
worth the smallest mitvah in the real
world OFA so he obviously knows this so
how do we explain
the people today and in past history but
more so today I think uh that
are going against the Torah and
sometimes obviously you see you have
Heretics that uh you know that's they
spend their life going against the Torah
they uh they want to go against ra mrai
they want to go against me they want to
go against rala whoever else they they
don't they don't like that is fulfilling
the will of hem it's teaching Torah and
they just want to use their time to go
against it because they don't like what
they hear so there's Heretics there's
atheists there's lefties there's all
types of psychopaths in the world but
that's not really the people that we're
referencing now referencing sometimes
there's innocent people that are not so
innocent where they are religious or
they have a at least they're keeping
some of the mitv but sometimes they hear
a clip or a lecture and they don't like
what they hear they don't like it they
uh like you know listen I think that uh
what you said is too strong it's scaring
people or anything any nonsensical
comment like that you know and they
don't like what they hear and they
decide to take the initiative and make a
comment against the rabbi either to
publicly or even to someone
else what is the consequence of doing
something like that well first and
foremost as we learned from the we
learned in actually a couple times in
our lectures about L it's l obviously
has a huge huge amount of consequences
huge amount of punishment you have to
really do everything you can to stay
away from it but the against one
person is one
consequence but if we fast forward to
chapter 27 of the book of
Deuteronomy
in it actually gives us the consequence
of or any act against the publicity of
Torah any act against the publicity of
doing kiru and getting am to do
chuv for anyone whether that person's a
heretic or the person is supposedly or
Ultra Orthodox but just decides to
public size his opinion against some
Rabbi what's the consequence if you go
to chapter 27 verse 26 it says
so here we have the tribes are standing
on two side two different mountains and
they're saying these you know these are
the blessings these are the curses and
it's giving the details of who's blessed
and who's cursed and here on the curse
side the word is the worst possible
punishment that anyone can get in the T
this is the worst word to describe
punishment it's called the first one to
ever get it is the serpent the snake
Adam and
Eve and here in chapter six it says a
cursed AR is the one who will not uphold
the words of this Torah to perform them
and the entire people shall say
Amen so kazal explains to us it's not
just someone it's not just referencing
someone that is not just fulfilling the
Torah because that's obvious someone
that's you know there's plenty of other
curses before it that are signifying
someone that's not a uh you know that's
not F following the toah whether it's
because they're homosexual or because
they don't keep the Shabbat or they go
against converts or they lead uh you
know they put some type of uh um trap in
front of a blind person and so on you
know someone that degrades their parents
all types of horrible horrible crimes so
why mention it after all of these other
things why mention it specifically
regards to the Torah here kazal is
explaining to us here that it's not
referencing just someone that's not
fulfilling the Torah but rather someone
that's getting in the way of publicizing
Torah in the way of getting am Isel and
the righteous among the
Nations back to Hashem close to Hashem
in any way that they possibly can in
accordance to the Torah so when someone
makes what they believe is an innocent
comment Hey listen Rabbi I don't I I
don't think that what you did is uh you
know what you said is the right thing
here and you start telling people that
uh you know not to listen to this
Rabbi if it's a valid opinion where you
have uh let's say the rabbi made a
mistake where there you actually have
solid evidence listen according to
this according to the r this you
actually have solid evidence of if the
rabbi made a mistake then of course yes
you know by all means you can do it you
can make the comment and but it's better
to do it privately so the uh you know so
there's not a uh a big Bagan made out of
it in case you're wrong but if it's just
your opinion your lowly human opinion
well you just don't like what what you
heard you don't like that the rabbi said
that when you know the reason why the
Holocaust happened is for the same
reason of why the BET mikdash was
destroyed it's for the same reason of
why we had the prgrams and the uh and
all the types of destructions we've had
for our nation throughout all of history
which is AEM did it why did Hashem do it
Hashem did it because we sinned when we
sinned Hashem said he is going to give
us punishment if you don't like to hear
those
things and you decide to make a comment
there's a cost for that comment there's
a very very high cause for that comment
because if you start telling people you
shouldn't listen to this Rabbi you
shouldn't listen to this Torah because
you don't like this one comment you are
getting in the way of publicizing
Torah and maybe that Rabbi may not
necessarily be the right fit for you but
he could be the right fit for thousands
and thousands of others that don't have
another right fit so by you discouraging
them directly or indirectly from
listening to that Rabbi you are
fulfilling the description of this verse
and unfortunately are bringing a curse
upon
yourself who wants to be cursed by
Hashem who wants to get the worst
possible punishment in this
world for doing something that they
think is not a big deal I'm just making
a comment on Facebook I'm just making a
comment on YouTube or Torah anytime or
any other place out there that you want
to make a comment and you think it's not
a big deal you have to really think
about everything that you do because
just like when I was in the business
days I was very very careful with giving
email accounts to any new adviser that
would work for me and the main reason is
because I know that anytime anyone says
anything the world will find out so when
you have a new guy jumping on board and
he's a new you know 20 25y old kid and
he's starting to to work you don't
really know what his mentality is like
you know okay you know his work ethics
you know his uh you know possibly uh a
few skills that he may have qualities
that may have but you don't really know
what's going on inside his head so if
you give him complete freedom to just go
start writing emails to random people
asking them for business you never know
what this guy is going to do because he
doesn't really know that much he doesn't
really know the rules he doesn't really
know everything yet and unfortunately he
could say something stupid that could
put the entire company in Jeopardy so
that's why we were very very careful
before we actually ever gave anyone an
email account and it would be like a a
big process we need to act the same way
on ourselves we have to be extremely
careful before we make any public
comments whether it's face Toof face
with somebody or in a gathering or worst
of all in a public format like Facebook
or all other types of social media
because that comment once it's on
there's no way to take it back cuz even
if you delete it Moments Later by those
moments
50 60 100,000 people or even 50 million
people could have read the comment
already there's no way that you can ever
grab that comment back and those people
are going to make judgment based on that
comment and not about the fact that you
deleted it so to fix
such against Tor is nearly impossible if
not impossible today because of how far
the internet reaches it has good and it
has bad there's K that could come out of
the internet and there's Tuma on one end
you could reach 50 million people with
just one single post you know that's two
minutes or two hours and get them all to
do chuva on the other hand that one
comment on that post that tells people
that hey that this this Rabbi is too
extreme or I don't like him or whatever
some nonsensical comment that you make
could easily make even 100 million
people go against that Rabbi and Destroy
his his his whole work and 20 years
worth of effort for no reason just
because you decide you don't like it so
we have to be really really careful
because number one I don't think anyone
unless they're completely a which they
probably not even you know just doesn't
even apply to them they have a different
level of Gom but someone that's like you
know has decent intentions is at least a
decent human being that's listening to
this cuz the rash is probably not
listening to this and anyway so the
decent human being you have to be very
careful don't be stupid don't be foolish
and just make comments thinking that
it's it's okay to freedom of speech and
and freedom of this and freedom of that
there's no such thing as freedom of
speech because your speech will have
consequences even if you don't see them
in this world so make sure you watch
your words you watch your comments and
the best thing in the world is if you
have a comment for a rabbi if you have a
comment if you have a
disagreement privately message them send
them an email you know give them a call
send them a text message you don't have
to publicize it to the whole world that
you disagree with something that they
said because again you may be wrong so
by the time if you already make a
comment and then they respond to you if
they get a chance by the time they
respond to you it could be a few days a
few weeks a few hours even if it's a few
minutes they could take a long time and
any busy Rabbi is going to take it's
going to take a while sometimes it takes
for example for me and not any something
major but I could just tell you for me
sometimes it'll take me two three weeks
to respond to a comment so that's one of
the things that you have to understand
um one of the leaders uh during the uh
times of World War
II um said that um the bad thing about
uh you know Truth versus lies is that by
the time the truth wakes up to the lie
that's around it hasn't even had the it
hasn't had the chance to even put its
pants on yet meaning that the LIE gets
around the
world before the truth could ever even
get its pants on meaning that by the
time you get to a point where you could
respond to this L mistake or even just a
uh
misunderstanding it's already too late
be very very careful because none of us
want to be a we want to be on the
Blessed side side so mayem continue to
bless you continue to teach all of us
Tor and allow us to get strong enough to
emulate the midot the character traits
of
