All right, welcome everybody. Friday,
August 15th. We at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Steve Montigue for the annual
breakfast with Mikuet. I'm standing here
with my good friend Rabbi Shaul Habber
who about a year ago, maybe a little bit
more, got involved with Kim Daba and
Mikuhett and uh to say the least,
they've been doing tremendous work in
the community the last couple of years
on setting up and making matches and uh
ultimately building families. So, Rabbi,
give me very quickly the progress that
you've seen in the last couple of uh
years since you're involved. Okay. So, I
would say that the primary success of
Mikuhit is that we focus on each person,
but we make sure to match. So far, we've
done 237 matches. We focus on each
individual. We talked to them. We talked
to their family. We set them up with a
matchmaker. And like we said, we did 237
matches, but more than that is last year
we had 93. And now we have 237, which
means that the progress is more than
just year to year. We're increasing it
year to year which I think is really and
we hope next year we'll do 200
throughout the year.
>> I saw some videos going around uh people
talking about different organizations
that focus on the we'll call it the shid
crisis and the saying mikuesh in its
short time has been surpassing everybody
else. What do you attribute that to?
>> Honestly, I think it's really because we
don't relax. We're not happy. Okay, we
started with an app that put on a bunch,
you know, we had a bunch of singles on
there. they put themselves on. And if we
were a different organization, perhaps
we would have been happy with that. We
got it. We have matchmakers. They're
doing their thing. We added 50
matchmakers this year. And every single
day, the entire day, we're busy with
this. Obviously, we do other things, but
we're busy with this throughout the day.
We'll text 10:00 at night, 11:00 at
night, 6:00 in the morning, I wake up, I
got a text from a few people involved
with us. It's constant, constant,
constant. And every single day, we're
trying to improve, trying to increase,
and trying to do better than we did the
day before. Rabo, I want to tell you
what you're doing is amazing. You and
the team at Miku Deshet, you're
literally building families here in the
community. And the what did you say?
240. What was it?
>> 237.
>> 237. It should go up to uh 2,000 in the
next couple
