Don't Let Others Define You

An eagle egg rolled its way into the chicken pen. So, they sat on these eggs and sure enough one day out pops an eagle. The eagle looks around and he sees other chickens. So, he thought he's a chicken. So, he's acting like a chicken he started eating and pecking this, that. He didn't realize that he's an eagle. And just just as chickens don't really fly, they use their wings a little bit just to glide or whatever. So, he did [music] the same thing. And then one of these guys comes along, a guy a bucky and and eagles and he he can't believe his eyes. And he goes over to this eagle he tells him, "Eagle, what are you doing? You can fly. What are you sitting here? You could do it. You could do it." You run around and see the Alps. What are you doing down here below? So, he takes him and he throws him up. And then one day he flaps his wings and he goes a few feet and he lands. The next day a little bit more and eventually he realized, "Hey, I could fly. All these guys my my brothers over here can't fly but I could." What's the nimshal? Is that I meet a lot of these people. They tell me, "I'm not good at Gemara. I'm not good at Gemara." How do you know? Cuz he grew up and one of his rabbaim told him he's not good at you're never going to be good at Gemara. So, he's [music] he's he's like a chicken. So, all life he he thinks he's a chicken. Well, maiseh has a good head. He has the wings to do it but he's stuck in what his rebbe told him, "I'm a shoytet." So, why would you say that? You're a smart guy. No, my rebbe told me I'm a shoytet. This is what he told an adult. He has a successful business. My rebbe told me. I know no I'm telling you rebbe, trust me. My rebbe told me when I was It's what he I said I told him it's not a joke. It's it's sad. His rebbe did tell him that. And he's running around his whole life believing he's a chicken. But he's he's not just an eagle. He's one of the most powerful eagles I know.
