need to learn but we'll start off with this week's parasa this week's parasa starts off with bombshell right off the get-go assembled the entire assembly of the children of Israel and said to them of your dwellings on the Shabbat day here we see one of the critical places where a literally tells us that Shabbat is a different a different day than the rest of the week it's different for is it's a it's a day that he created specifically for his children to feel like him to know that this is where they come from just like when you see a child and they look like their parents in essence a Jew that keep Shabbat looks like a if you will he is resting Hashem is resting meaning we're not creating doesn't mean that you don't work and uh you know and prepare the house and make sure that everything is beautiful even on Shabbat and serve the meal to the people and host guests but rather you're not doing things that are called me which are 39 restrictions on Shabbat a Judah does not keep Shabbat is in essence denying that hasem created the world in six days and rested on the seventh so it's very important that a person knows this now many many times you're going to have Heretics you know like uh Prager and the like they're going to tell you that it doesn't matter whether you keep or you don't keep and all types of things but a here tells us that you're not allowed to Kindle Fire on Shabbat you outright say this is the one of the 39 restrictions on Shabbat but it's the one that Hashem literally says meaning it's the highest extent it's the most extraordinary and it's the one that most people violate for some reason or another people know that Hashem said don't light fire on Shabbat but yet they listen to fools like Dennis Prager and his friends and still drive on Shabbat because they think that as long as they're lighting fire for the sake of going to synagogue or to go to their friends to have a k there then it's okay that's a reformed mentality that's a mentality that is against the T and says that when you don't do what he says it's not going to look good for you the end and that end is not just in this world but after and it's very important for Jew to know that observing Shabbat is a basic minimum minimum of minimum obligation on every single Jew it is not a uh level to reach one day but rather a basic minimum obligation of every single Jew now of course in the beginning you don't know what you don't know you don't know how and who and when and that that's fine that a doesn't make you a wicked person what makes you a wicked person is when you do know and you still violate or you choose to remain ignorant that's also a uh a Mak a person Wicked so it's important for a person to know the most important part of observing Shabbat is not to violate it that's the most important part honoring Shabbat making it beautiful tasty food all that other stuff that's all great but that is lesser lesser than the violation of Shabbat why why because says the first and most important is don't light fire on Shabbat don't light fire on Shabbat don't drive on Shabbat don't work on Shabbat don't play with your phone on Shabbat don't watch television on Shabbat or be on your computer on Shabbat don't cook on Shabbat don't use a uh a coffee machine and turning it on and off on Shabbat if you want hot water you have to have a uh something that heats the water some type of ear that heats the water before Shabbat and you leave it on the whole Shabbat just like the do it events they have an a hot water earn and you pour that uh and to make yourself coffee if you want to make tea then you would pour that water that hot water into a empty cup and then pour that water from the empty cup from the cup that's now full of hot water into a cup that has the uh tea bag in it or you could do other things the point being is there are ways to have hot tea there are ways to have hot coffee there are ways to have hot food you have a hot plate you put the food an hour 2 hours 3 hours hours before you want to eat it to heat it up on the hot plate as long as the food is already cooked before Shabbat you could heat it up with no problem unless it's soup if it's soup you have to put it on before Shabbat starts and once you take it off the Plata once you take it off the hot plate you can't put it back on because it's water and you can't reheat water the point being is that all of these things seem cumbersome seem extraordinary seem difficult but I promise you from my own experience and experience that I have of tens of thousands of people people that have done chuba through us that have learned from us over the years everyone thinks that everyone thinks that it's impossible to observe Shabbat how would I deal with 25 hours without my phone how would I deal with 25 hours without driving without shopping without this without this without and every single person says the same exact thing a moment after they keep their first Shabbat I can't believe it's only 25 hours I wish it was the whole week like this every single person feels a spiritual fulfill uh uh elevation as a result of observing Shabbat like no other you're literally giving yourself the greatest gift in the world and the only regret you have is that you haven't kept Shabbat your whole life but a says whether you agree or you disagree whether you want to or you don't want to if you're a Jew you have to keep Shabbat why anyone who doesn't Hashem says I'm going to kill you now you're going to see a lot of people driving on Shabbat even people driving to the on Shabbat on Shabbat so how come hasm doesn't kill them because hasem is merciful he knows that the world is full of wicked people that are unfortunately this generation's leaders false leaders some of them are rabbis politicians and all types of uh uh people out there that are misleading the people miseducative non-jew and it's a problem still never know that they're obligated to do everything why because people care more about your money than they care about your soul that's just a reality but you have to take your own life into your own hands and take it seriously and educate yourself to the best of your ability by watching these lectures and other lectures and little by little you'll see that it's not only not as hard as you thought it's actually fun and when something is fun when something is enjoyable you want to do it even more you want to do even more you want to grow on it and I promise you when it comes to shabbat it's literally the greatest gift that ever gave us after the Tor itself which obligates us to keep Shabbat and when a person violate Shabbat has Mercy on that person and gives them more and more time to do chuat and to start keeping Shabbat at some point but doesn't give you eternity he doesn't give you until forever so when a person doesn't keep Shabbat after getting a few messages from Hashem a few warnings from Hashem and they still don't do it hashem's warnings start getting stronger in the beginning you had some tough time with your uh parents with this one with your spouse and so on and you didn't listen you didn't start keeping Shabbat he starts giving you monetary issues starts giving you is health issues starts giving you problems at your job starts giving you problems with life all of a sudden you're depressed and you don't know why all of a sudden you have some type of growth on your side and you you don't know where it's from and why and who and what and life and people's life goes Haywire it goes completely crazy and they don't know why oh what bad luck do I have it's not bad luck it's sins it sins as the says and many other places in our Torah there's no such thing as suffering without sin no such thing every time we suffer there has to be a sin connected to it either in this life or the previous life anyone that tells you other wise is simply a liar that's just the way it is why it's written in our Torah there's countless sources that we've mentioned over the years and we continue to mention that are in the Tora that talk about this this par is one of them where says if you don't keep Shabbat I'm going to kill you what do you think is joking so if he's not killing a person right away for violating Shabbat so what is he really implying here in essence he's saying a person that doesn't keep Shabbat loses Heaven their heaven goes to the garbage simply no heaven for a person that doesn't keep Shabbat a Jew that doesn't keep Shabbat has no chance in the world of ever going to heaven ever and if you see lectures that rabbis are telling you that everybody's going to heaven they are liars now how are you going to know that they are liars and we're telling the truth simple we just gave you a source Book of Exodus which is part of the five books of Moses chapter 35 veres 1 2 3 1 2 and 3 okay that's where you have the source Where do they get their sources when they say everyone's going to heaven guess what no Source they don't mention a source why CU it doesn't exist it doesn't exist anyone ever tell you something contrary to the things that you've heard from our lectures you're always going to notice what they're saying does not have a source ever and sometimes they'll mention oh yeah Rabbi such and such say it but they never say where why because Rabbi such and such never actually said it if he did why don't you mention the page number the name of the book why just throwing names out there name dropping why because the LIE sometimes is gets a little bit more sophisticated so they know that people are not going to check they're not going to check and therefore they're going to fall for the Trap thinking that everyone goes to heaven everyone does not go to heaven and there are countless places in the Tor that discuss this specific point and that's why mosu continues in verse number 10 every wise-hearted person among you shall come and make everything that hasem has commanded here mosenu tells us there is no levels in Judaism there is no levels you either do everything or you don't do everything now of course in the beginning you don't even know what everything everything is so you do everything you can everything you do know about if you can't if you tried something it's too hard for you try again too hard for you try again how many times do you try until you succeed just like anything else that's valuable in life you wanted to get married you went on a you met somebody they seem like a nice person but it didn't work out what you just give up for the rest of your life and stay single no you try again you try to uh you know to get a job first company didn't hire you they didn't like the way uh you uh did this they didn't like the way you did that simply didn't hire you what do you do just sit there on your couch for the rest of your life and become homeless slowly no you look for another job you try again you try a new business you open a business you invest your life savings into it the business starts and boom not boom in a good way boom it explodes in your face goes bankrupt what do you do you cry for the rest of your life no you start again you figure out how do I get a few more dollars and uh start a new business that's what entrepreneurs do all of the biggest s successes in history are people that failed many many times but continue to persevere until they eventually succeeded that's in essence the biggest difference between people that are successes and people that are failures failures are simply people that choose to give up while success are people that refuse to give up so when it comes to the Torah there are some things that you know do them if you fail try again and keep learning more and more and more and apply as much of it to your life and you'll see how this affects your life but unfortunately in today's generation of liars there are many people that uh have simply taken advantage of the ignorance of the public and have made it seem as if living in is or supporting is being in the Army is as important if not more important according to them than being a religious Jew and this is in essence the next section of what ran discusses where we find out a little bit more about this particular thought process and really what makes a Jew a Jew because really before Mount saai the there wasn't Jews in the world there was no Judaism why we were called the Hebrews we were called the isim the Israelites weren't called Jews why because Judaism was born at Mount sa after we received the Torah the moment we received the T Judaism was born if would have refused to get the T and let's say hypothetically some Arab Nation or some uh you know Christian Nation or some Chinese or some what Iraqi or whatever it is decide to come okay these Jews these Israelites don't want the uh the Torah we'll take it they would have become the Jews now we accepted the T and even though it was really either accepted t or die and the world will be destroyed but nonetheless we accepted the Torah and that's when Judaism was born now which in essence explains to us that that's the Torah is what makes a Jew a Jew this is also the reason why even if somebody is born a non-jew they can be born to Christian or Catholic parents Chinese PE parents Muslim parents uh whatever they could be born in the middle of Africa or New Zealand or or or anywhere else out there into a Mormon family and they decide I want to be a Jew how could I be a Jew simple come learn tah do what what's necessary according to the Torah in order to convert to Orthodox Judaism don't go to some reformed Temple or some conservative Temple that's just going to treat you like a uh simply just another number oh yeah pay us the $25 and you could become a Jew even though you don't know anything about Judaism you don't keep anything and the rabbi that's converting you himself is not Jewish the only way to become a Jew is through an orthodox bed there is no other form of Judaism there is no like secondary Judaism or second class Judaism it's either you're Jewish or you're not Jewish so someone that wants to become Jewish goes through a formal Orthodox conversion they need to learn some things they need to do certain things meaning to make certain Life Changes live in a Jewish Community learn to every day and do mitv and so on and so forth then they convert and then they become a Jew what makes them a Jew the Torah makes them a Jew the Torah makes them a Jew so what happens to someone that was born a Jew and not keeping the Torah or perhaps converted to Jew ISM because he or she was keeping the tah but then decided not to learn tah anymore and not to keep the toah anymore well guess what they lose their Jewish status they lose their Jewish status why because the ramban 8 100 years ago the same thing that it said in the same thing that it says in the five books of Moses and across the board a Jew that violates Shabbat or worships Idols is considered 100% an idol worshipper and is excluded from am he's not cons his Judaism is on suspension where he cannot be included he cannot be included in any Jewish ceremony anything that relies on Judaism so for example if you have a court case you cannot use him as a witness if you have a wedding you cannot use him as one of the two witnesses to sign theba if one of your one of the people that signed your Kuba as a witness is a someone to violate Shabbat your your marriage is null and void he cannot take wine that's high-end wine that's not uncooked wine and pour it for uh for you in fact if you give him your wine if you give him your wine that's uncooked and he touches that wine if the bottle is open you have just made a sin you destroy the wine why because that wine becomes What's called the wine of idolatry because he's considered an idol worshipper that's in essence the reality if a someone to desecrate shabat says kadish the community is not allowed to say am in why it's just like some Idol worshipper from a China that just uh finished serving his Buddha says kadish you're you're not allowed to say Amen to him but even more so even more so at the time of the bet mikdash if someone that wasn't Idol worshipper but from the Nations brought a sacrifice wanted to bring a calf to the bet mikash we would accept his sacrifice we would accept the even though he was an idol worshipper to other gods in this case he's doing it for our God and we accept his sacrifice but if a Shabbat someone a desecrate Shabbat brings a sacrifice to the bet mikdash they do not accept it why because that person is is obligated to keep Shabbat he's choosing not to he's choosing to desecrate aem's name and therefore cannot be included as part of am is now most people that are desecrating Shabbat today simply do not know the consequence simply do not know that this puts their Judaism on suspension now of course once somebody starts doing Chu begins to keep Shabbat they don't need to convert to Judaism they don't need to go to a bed they automatically get their Judaism back automatically if they already Jewish automatically get their Judaism back and everything is good and if they continue doing it it'll erase all of the sins that they've made in the past that's the significance of keeping Shabbat that's in essence what mosu is telling is keep Shabbat because there's a very there's a lot of the line it's a lot of line but also remember there's a lot of other mitv and only someone that's a has a wise heart is going to realize that he has to she has to keep everything and even though it seems like it's a lot on day one no one is expecting you to keep the whole tah on day one when you don't know it but you are expected to keep everything you do know about and don't think that there is a get out of jail free card that you can just simply claim like you're ignorant your whole life or that it was tough for you and that's going to work in heaven just like if you were driving down the highway and you decide to drive 100 miles an hour and the police pulls you over he says listen the speed limit over here is 50 m an hour what are you driving a 100 oh no I didn't know well it doesn't matter you didn't know you're getting a ticket and I'm taking you to jail because you're putting people's life at race no but isn't the fact that I didn't know count for something yes it counts for the fact that you chose to live in this country and yet ignore learning its rules your ignorance of the rule does not absolve you from the consequence and that's a reality if you live in a certain country and you violate its rules they're not going to care that you didn't know why by living here you are by default accepting all of the rules whether you know them or not by living in God's world you are accepting all of his rules whether you like it or not and this week's says one of those rules for Jewish people is that you're obligated to keep Shabbat what about living in is living in the land of Israel let's see some people make it seem as if it's bigger so let's see what the Torah actually says about it starts the section called saying the following so here is the um the says that is given much prominence in the Torah both the written Torah and the oral Torah there are three orders of the mishna which is half of the mishna there are six sections to the mishna three of them which deal with namely which are laws that deal with agriculture all this agricultural rules only pertain in the land of Israel They Don't Really uh affect you if you live in the Exile which is the rules regarding to sacrifices that we would do at the time of the BET mikdash once the BET mikdash was built sacrifices outside of the BET mikash were forbidden we're not allowed to make any sacrifices today in today's world our prayer replaced the sacrifice as says to the so the which is sacrifices that's all relating to only which is laws which are affecting ritual Purity also having to do with the BET mikdash BET mikdash being in Jerusalem a large portion of the three remaining orders is also bound up in in the order ofed which is the uh the holidays the appointed Seasons all the times of the holidays and so on there are the following tractates which is the tractate that talks about Yip fasting and so on which is the she offering this is also having to do with the uh the bed things that relating to the which also having to do with the uh f Festival sacrifices and the latter portion of the tractate of which is in in relation to P also having to do with the people that lived uh outside of is that at the time were required to celebrate PES Shen a second PES at a different time of the year and the latter chapters of M which is the Tabernacle Feast a feast of Tabernacles which talks about all of the fasts in Judaism and in the order of nim which is a tractate that discusses women marriage laws and so on in the uh tractate of nazil the Nazarite this is a people that uh would uh refrain from drinking wine being uh uh with women and so on which is a the Unfaithful wife a woman that was unfaithful to her husband would come to the BET mikash and they would give her the holy Waters if she really cheated on her husband she would drink the water and she would blow up miraculously blow up uh if she did not cheat but was accused of cheating then she would get a blessing from theen that she will have uh kids if she didn't have kids already and if her kids are ugly then she would have beautiful kids and so on and so forth meaning she would get a lot of blessings for uh the accusal but nonetheless still she deserved that suffering that she had because she put ourselves in that position because she was only brought to the to the BET mikdash and accused of cheating because she secluded herself with a strange man against her husband's wishes uh even after being warned but the point is that this is only at the time of the bet mikdash there was a uh uhar says there was a woman that had a twin sister and uh this woman did cheat on her husband and knew that if she goes to the BET mad she drinks the water she's going to die so she thought oh it's the water that kills just like some people think it's Corona that kills or it's the uh this that kills or it's cigarettes that kill no it's not those things that kill it's AEM that kills the sins that kill that's what kills that's what we learned from the with talks about how it's the it's the sins that kill not the snakes that kill but of course a person is not allowed to put themselves in a apparent danger because then it's stupidity that kills but nonetheless this woman that had a twin sister cheated on her husband but uh after being uh caught uh uh but not 100% they she was brought to the bet mikdash but in order to try to save ourselves she sent her sister cu the sister looked identical to her she had an identical twin her sister drank the water after going through the whole process of how they put pressure on her to try to make her admit that she cheated on her husband so she doesn't have to drink the water so they don't have to kill her and you know because if she admits that she cheated on her husband then simply she gets divorced from her husband she's not allowed to be with the man that she cheated on her husband with she loses on both sides but at least she she she stays alive but if she continues to lie and she and and she drinks the water she'll die so this woman knew that she didn't cheat on anybody she's just replacing her sister so she had no problem going through the whole thing when they took off her K and they ripped her shirt and they put a lot of pressure on her to try to get her to admit she didn't care about anything cuz she knew really she didn't do anything wrong as far as to that husband because he's not her husband it's her sister that's back home that did everything so she went over there she drank the water happily and nothing happened everybody wow impressive oh she didn't okay here's the blessing she gets home oh okay I saved my sister she gets home to get our sister okay you're out of the S she opens the door shees her sister blew up to Pieces blew up to Pieces why it's not the water that kills that kills you can't fool but this is not something that was available to us today because we don't have the bet mikash at the time of the you didn't need any private agents you didn't need anything like that you had today unfortunately because of our many sins we do not have the bet mikdash but the entire tractate of talks about the uh the Wayward woman the uh the uh woman that was unfaithful to her husband but also a lot of things that having to do with modesty and things of that nature point being is is that this also has to do with of course whether a woman lives in or in the Exile she always has to be faithful to her husband but the point being is is that this specific was something that was practiced only in in in the order of which is civil law pertaining to things that happen in in saned which is a capital punishment the uh the sanedrin was only in is which is the punishment that the bed would give by Stripes which are has having to do with the incorrect decisions of a b sometimes a bed de even if it's full of really righteous people sometimes they've made mistakes in history and this entire tract dat talks about how to deal with it and so on so here we see says that the total shows that nearly 2third of the talmud deals with which also has an equally important place in the the five books of Moses Five Books of Moses you'll see how have also the vast majority of it has to do with is right in the beginning when creates the world we already see that decided to start the Torah not as a story book of when he a history of the Jewish people of when he took us out of Egypt but rather the five books of Moses start with hashem's creation which is thousands of years over 2,000 years before am was born Why not start the Torah with the time that am is was born the reason why is because first and foremost the Torah is not a history book the Torah is a book of laws a book of instructions from Hashem of things we're all obligated to follow either as Jews with the 613 biblical Commandments and seven rabinal and the Seven noahide laws for the
