How To Build A Jewish Home

[Music] Bim um good to see some new faces um if all the new faces kept showing up every week we wouldn't have any room to sit so you just guys has should just keep showing up um so uh we're starting the middle of nowhere I mean you spend so much time and money in your house that uh you really don't want to leave you know you have the nice you know window treatment and the backyard is just right you know you know exactly the season of when the grass grows and when it doesn't grow and you know the deli is right down the street the guy knows you by name and the tool shop is over there and you know your job is over there you know you only are solid 15 minutes to your job driving every day you don't want to leave all this stuff can you be a Jew by yourself this is is not only a question that uh Bal cha ask but it's also a very very common hurdle uh for uh converts people that want to convert to Judaism and the reason why is because anyone that wants to convert to Judaism must know rule number one you cannot be a Jew by yourself especially in the beginning if you are going to say yeah but the worst some Jews in the past that uh you know big sages that went to the middle of nowhere and started a community yes once you become big Sage you can do the same thing but until then you cannot be a Jew by yourself you have to be part of a community yeah but you keep saying that all of these communities have problems yes you have to join the problems join the problems and help fix them help fix the problem do not think that uh you being by yourself is going to uh be better than being part of the problem the problem is that all of the people that shouldn't be part of the community they want to move in all the people that should be part of the community don't want to move in key is you have to move in you have to move to the Jewish Community but the key is how do you do it say oh it's a lot more money okay gave you money to live before I'll give you money to live after but what about uh the fact that okay but you have a house you have to sell it so sell it what about I want you know buying a new house you can't afford so don't buy don't buy who says you have to buy to be a Jew I don't own a house I don't know car I don't own anything I barely own my iPhone I had to pay $10 a month for like 500 years already the iPhone went expired already Apple send me stop them aside from modesty Torah learning wasn't so much like the so important come learn if you feel like it you know if you get a and there's 10 people you can say kades that's enough already Rabbi you learned this nonsense that he has in his head by himself or he learned it from uh somebody else that learned by himself like his Rabbi learned this by himself why because none of theim none of the commentaries none of the P none of the none of the big gids in history have ever said such never so how could it be that such a mentality could be born of somebody that went to Yesa for 20 years it's
