hey guys to all you who watched this you know that I love you dearly so I'm gonna give you some my best tips and secrets here in business okay so let me tell you the story that just happened I had a client that we had organized to do a video shoot for and I sent in the proposal and my proposal program tells me when people check click and they see the proposal so we saw the proposal his secretary or the person that works it for him said okay great we're on you know come down and come down let's do the video shoot so I hopped on a plane with my with my crew obviously and literally as were on our way to the airport I get an email from like an email from the from the client that hey we didn't see the terms of the proposal and fifty percent advance we never agreed to this and I'm saying to myself oh no I haven't have a choice here I could either give up the shoot because I don't want to take the risk that they're not gonna pay me or I can agree to some sort of terms and conditions go through with the shoot come with a come up with a plan and try to get paid when I'm there and and do what I have to do to make this thing work so I ended up negotiating with them pay me $1,000 as a deposit before I left which is well under the the half deposit that I usually ask for whatever I was gonna go do the shoot we start a business cash is king I needed I needed a deposit you need that I need that fifty percent to keep my to keep my wheels turning it's the gas at the gas tank otherwise the car stops so what did I do in the airport I bought the nicest bottle of Canadian maple syrup that I could find packed packaged it up beautifully I put it into my bag in the morning in the hotel I printed out the invoice for the for the for the video shoot and after a long day of shooting with the client and they saw how dedicated we were and they saw how good of a job and how professional we were and we had a great rapport with them I want I walked into the to the owners office and I said could I have a couple minutes with you and I took out the folder and I took out the bottle of maple syrup and I put the bottle of maple syrup on his desk I said I have a gift for you he says really that's so nice he didn't have to I said this is the best Canadian maple is here from the deepest darkest part of the of the Canadian forest I gave him the bottle of maple syrup and I had the invoice and I put it on his desk as well I said listen you know what it is to start a business as well you're an entrepreneur yourself you know that the beginning is not easy I said if there's any way that you could pay half of this invoice right now it would mean the world to me I said if cash is tight if cash flow is a problem right now I totally understand but if it's not and you're able to somehow afford half of the payment that would just mean the world he said I'll take care of you kids don't worry about it and he had his secretaries print up the check he signed it and hand it to me gladly point of the story is is that you go all the way you put in the work and take a little bit of a risk and you come up with creative solutions and the rest worked itself out keep on hustling everybody
