The Rebbe showed special attention to his guests, urging them to utilize their time wisely and dedicate themselves to Torah study, prayer, performance of Mitzvos and charity. It is a custom that has its roots in the pilgrimage that Jews made to the Holy Temple in Jerusalem; a time and opportunity to draw inspiration and spiritual energy to be gradually unpacked throughout the year.
