chapter
thank you thank you so much that

that this amazing Initiative Program
that that that that that we're already
on that that we've been doing week over
week and um we we thank of course tovia
sablowski uh to my right over here for
for initiating this amazing series thank
you so much tovia of course um toia is
um is um he's doing so much for the
Jewish people
uniting um the Jewish people for to
connect um closer to our to our Jewish
Heritage to the Torah and everyone
should unite Bas together and um and we
have RAB Ari
Barz No Stranger toak of course you've
been here before and we partnered
together and of course it's um I think
it was very apropo that had started with
uh with the m think we have to thank the
borol Hashem God Almighty himself for
for for everything that that happen and
of course we started tonight um about
this topic and that's what we're going
to be discussing um um tonight we're
going to be having a conversation
between and and Rabbi Rabbi burtz about
light to unite this series about about
how we have to all unite as as CL as a
Jewish people and of course um as as
well as bringing the ideas of of of
thanking Hashem that that that uh is um
is is is bring is bring a whole
revolution of people through through
through the different various platforms
of of social media and WhatsApp and all
the amazing platforms to reach to reach
literally light to you night that's what
you're doing every day you're uniting
the people through through through
thanking Hashem and through these
amazing initiatives and um we want to
thank toia again for helping to
coordinate we're have a tremendous
evening tonight this this is all a
buildup to this to to The Grand Event
which is going to be on Sunday September
29th um and of course you'll hear more
details about it but it's going to be a
great event to unite all the of the
Jewish people and further Ado we hand it
over to tiia good evening everybody
Welcome to our light to your night
program this is our podcast series that
we launched back in August 4th this is
our third of five podcasts leading up to
our major event which will be held on
Sunday September 29th which you'll hear
a bit a little bit more but the goal of
light to you night is to unite all Jews
in America Israel and the world
observant Jews non-observant Jews to do
one thing light a yards side candle and
we're laying the yard side candle for
all the people who have perished and
unfortunately continue to perish in
Israel because of Hamas and Iran we want
to acknowledge them but also all the
people who have pursed in the Holocaust
and really during the 3,000 years of the
Jews existence we've been persecuted
people have killed us they tried to
distinguish us but we're here right now
we're proud and we're proud Jews and
we're proud to share it so we hope that
at least 1 million Jews join us on
September 9th to light a yards side
candle and in memory and to really light
up the world so it's interesting because
I've been thinking over the last five or
six days since six of our hostages six
of our Jewish brothers and sisters were
killed they were murdered by Hamas in
Iran so in my opinion there's five to
six million Jews in America that's not
my opinion it's
Wikipedia and in my opinion my guess is
at least 50% of the Jews in America
probably many more have heard what
happened in the past week so our
objective is to have these same Jews
instead of looking at television looking
at media and becoming depressed upset
angered anxiety all negative emotions
are being formed and taking you into
deep Darkness our objective is to bring
light not Darkness there's a better
alternative and we learned that as OB
observant Jews that we don't focus on
those things we to focus on the good
things that Hashem gives us so by
lighting one light can ignite thousands
of other lights that's our objective and
to bring happiness and joy and really
appreciate who we are as Jewish people
so when we light toite we have many
different areas that we light as Jews we
light for Hanukkah coming up soon we
light at the end of chabas abdala we
light at the beginning of chabas ladies
light and we light for you know for yard
site so it's very important and my wife
and I like every day for different sadum
for different things that we want to
have so lighting is very important for
the Jewish people brings light most
people are focused on Darkness so it's
really the separation of Good and Evil
the good lights and the evil does all
kind of destructive things so my name is
tuvia Sosi I grew up in Philadelphia as
a non-observant Jew very secular I grew
up my parents sent me to a Christian
School and so I it wasn't until as 50
years old that I was introduced by
rabbitson Young rice to what it means to
be a Jew so I've actually shifted from
being a American Jew to a proud Jewish
American and there are many people like
me that I grew up with that that
unfortunately haven't exposed to this
our objective is to really bring light
to these people show them there's a
better way and to move forward uh it
gives me great pleasure to introduce my
dear
friend uh rabbi Ari burwitz thank you
thank you th you thank you thank you and
I really met him because my wife kept
sending me links you gota look at this
thank you Hashem thank you Hashem my
wife has massive impact on on my
spiritual growth and hopefully I do with
her uh back in I believe it was in 2018
uh Rabbi Ari created the thank you
Hashem movement it's not a corporation
it's not a business it's a movement
because what's he do he moves people to
thank Hashem so we thought it was really
important in our process that anything
that happens it is determined by Hashem
so we like to thank Hashem my wife and I
thank Hashem in advance before things
you know constantly
saying we like to thank you in advance
Hashem that this is going to work out
this way and afterwards we're going to
thank you and we're going to donate
money so the thank you hasem movement is
something that everybody can join
observant non OB because we're basically
thanking our creator because without him
we're not here
so please Thank You
by thank you so much I think you just
said everything not at all the the light
unite uh is definitely something that I
wanted to be part of and uh even though
we have a lot of things going on now uh
when you called me last week and you
said Ari I want you to be part of it and
I become very like when someone says I'm
part of the thank you a movement then I
say how and I say no so I said I'm going
to be here and um thank you for Robbie
for introducing us um the light unite
initiative if I understand correctly is
like tovia you said before is instead of
looking you know at the darkness I mean
I always tell people how can you look at
Darkness it's dark right um in
just not knowing what to do or what kind
of messages or
when when someone is in the dark they
basically like frozen you know it says
for three days people whatever position
they were if someone was standing they
kept on standing if someone was sitting
they they were just uh I always tell
people uh Hashem gave us two eyes uh the
right eye is to look at the positive and
the left eye is you know because
everything needs a balance but if person
will just close the right eye completely
and just look around with the left eye
um instead of seeing what there is and
just thinking the whole time there is
nothing and it's dark and they will be
depressed uh the idea of light unite and
the idea of thanking Hashem they work
very well together basically takes out a
person instead of looking the whole time
what I don't have is to look I do have
Hashem is giving me so many good stuff
in my life and let me just thank Hashem
for it I want to share with you an
interesting story I had two weeks ago
and when you called me last week it was
still so fresh and uh someone calls me
up and he tells me his name is hsh
something uh Ari how are you doing and I
said I don't remember the name herge
give me give me more he said maybe you
don't know me because you have thousands
of people on the WhatsApp groups and all
um but I'm on the group and I want you
to know that for the last
um five years this gives me the oxygen
andic to whenever I have a hard time in
life so you start the conversation and
you say you know what what hardships do
you have and what made me what made you
call me so he he tells me a story that
literally I mean I hear so many stories
every day but this one was like wow you
know there's always one story that
stands
out it it goes back almost
uh 18 or 20 years he was a regular
single guy a b and he was in the ISA and
then he got
engaged and um someone told him you know
before you get married maybe it's a good
idea you take um uh how do you call it
like an AIA right a ride to Europe and
you go to kikim and you go you know to
all this places the you know they have
the B
all
the m and all the places so he went
there and he had a great time and he
felt like he's now he's ready you know
he asked Hashem for everything and okay
he comes back home and he came home and
he actually it was late in the middle of
the night he went to sleep and all of a
sudden his phone rings and he's like
who's calling me in the middle of the
night so what he did as a side job he
did a little bit of car service taking
people to airports airports back home
and someone calls him that he just
arrived either from Israel from or from
one of these places and he wants a ride
home and he tells him you know I just
arrived a few hours back from from a
trip to Europe I'm still jet lagged and
and and I'm so I have no K and he kept
on begging him please I pay you whatever
you want just come and pick me up so he
went in into his old
Minivan and he told me later why he
mentioned the word old Minivan and he
went to the airport he picked up the
person and he started driving back to
Brooklyn or two queens one of the two
places and um the so he what he mentions
the word old minivan is sometimes you
know an older car one of the gauges
don't work correctly so by him the most
important gauge the
fuel was not working properly so he
if he had a full tank can show empty and
if he had an empty tank it show full so
while he was going I think he mentioned
either the Long Island Expressway or
Cross Island Expressway one of these two
um all of a sudden he hears that the
engine starts spattering and it feels
like he's out of fuel and even though it
shows full he knew right away what the
problem is so he puts on the blinkers
the emergency lights he stops by the
side of the road and he goes out and he
had already a a fuel tank in his car to
fill it back up and while he goes to the
back of the
car and over there he just doesn't
remember anymore what happened but what
happened was someone that was driving
drunk came flying and he didn't realize
that a car and there was the last second
and while he was standing in back of his
car he just hit him to a point where he
knocked him come out and the from was
that see I always tell people open your
eyes look you will see the the problem
is a lot of times a person they close
their eye and they don't look you know
last week what what para was last week
par you know it's it starts with one
word ra open your eyes
see I'm giving the good stuff you have
just to Open the Eyes the next word that
says ULU now some people say that's a
bad thing but we know from hasem no bad
comes out from hem there's no such thing
as bad and if in your eyes it looks bad
there is something you can do to Simply
switch it around from bad to good in an
instant if you look at the word
hakula if you just turn around switch
the other way it stands
Hal thank hasem and when you do so from
the bed it will become good and um going
back to his story
story passed by right away and he saw
him laying there on the floor and it it
really looked bad and he called in ATA
they came they took him in while he was
in the ambulance they called his parents
I think they found his driver license
they got his number number they told him
to come quickly to the hospital because
they didn't believe that he's going to
make it through the next 24 hours and
when he basically literally took off
both his legs and it was the blood was
so much they had they took him in and
they had to give him one infusion after
the other and they and they were assured
that um he's not going to make it hasem
Hashem knew that by saving him he's G to
make hashem's name big and guess what he
woke up after I don't know if it was a
few days or a few weeks he woke up one
day and he's like where am I and his
father tells him what do you want to
hear you know the good news or the said
the good news is that it looks like your
head is good your your
brain the bad news is that Unfortunately
they couldn't save your legs and have no
legs and he right away said if that's
what Hashem did I'm sure it's for my
best does the kala know is she still on
he was supposed to get married literally
a month later and they said yes it's
still on for now they didn't mention
anything okay so he said you know what
he he was always a a person that was
positive and he in his darkest moment he
said so I can thank Hashem maybe I don't
have legs but I have
aala she has legs amazing it's I mean I
was amazed by by by him sharing with me
the story I said H I need to stop you by
the way I mean I love this story but why
did you call me now he said I tell you
the truth I'm about to have
surgery um where the doctors they came
up with an amazing um new thing the same
way as someone a tooth comes out right
where they can built in like a metal it
has a name I forgot the name of it and
then eventually they put in a a too
right and right so this the same idea
they're using now this where he goes
through a surgery they building in like
a a metal into his leg and eventually
the Prosthetics even though it's not
relax but he's going to feel it like
he's walking on so he went so he's going
to have surgery there's only one doctor
in the United States that does it and
they don't take insurance and he has to
come up with a
$200,000 and he's decided he's going to
go through his list now my name is Ari
Burt so it's AB my name was the first so
that's why he's calling me I said H I'm
I'm it's unbelievable you're calling me
because Hashem wanted you to call me so
I tell him tomorrow that was on
Wednesday tomorrow Thursday two weeks
ago I'm scheduled to go to speak to
singles there are you know older uh
males bam there are anywhere from 25 to
35 and in the world 2535 is really like
you know you walk in and they depressed
it it's like crazy you know and I'm I
keep on thinking to myself what can I
bring to the table to to you know to to
make him a little bit more positive I
said Hashem sent you to call me up I I
hear your story now and I just want to
continue his story and then I'm going to
come back so he tells me that um he woke
up and and they told him that it's still
on the the week before the wedding the
wedding was supposed to be let's say
Sunday the Thursday before the kala
called up and she apologized she thought
she's going to be able to go on with
this but
I don't know you know if she or someone
told her or whatever that it doesn't
make sense such a young CA to to take
someone that is going to sit in a
wheelchair all his life and she feels
bad she wants to ask him for forgiveness
she's not going to be able to go on and
he told her I totally understand you
it's not you it's all from Hashem and if
Hashem wants I'm going to be able to to
marry even though I don't have le and
guess what for the next year or two he
learned learned himself how to drive a
car with handbrakes and and and pedals
and everything and he was driving around
and doing everything on his own and then
he met someone that has also a slight
medical condition uh the only thing the
doctors told her that they should not
expect to have children and he said it's
okay the same Hashem that made that I
should find my he can make this miracle
also and guess what he tells me I'm
married for or I don't remember if he
said 13 or 15 years he has five healthy
children the doctors cannot believe it
they said even one is a miracle two is a
miracle he tells me Ari but I'm on the
group I'm thanking hasem first I thanked
hem that I found my kala then I thanked
hem for the wedding and bar that he went
through and then we had the first one
and I thanked Hashem and like you said
before I said Hashem I'm thanking you
already for the second one and the
second one happened and then he said I'm
thanking you for the third one and the
third one happened he has a family I
said I appreciate you called me you
coming with me tomorrow to Monroe to
this people and I want you to you know I
said I will give you the money that you
need and yet I will ask my friends also
but you didn't call me for this you
called me because I asked Hashem Hashem
I need something I need someone to to
give me something to make this
and so I told for the bam that what they
write on the paper you know every
Thursday night someone a guest speaker
is Gonna Come should also write that
besides Ari bur someone else a surprise
guest speaker is GNA come also so I come
in and I start talking and I'm talking
to the BAM about thanking AEM and
everything in someone over there I see
by the corner he's going like this and I
said and everybody's like please and I
said no no no the idea is if you have a
question ask because if something is
bothering you and he he turns around and
he said you know Ari canar you're
married you have a business you have a
car you have a wife you have children
things but look at me I'm an older B
older single 35 I have already my
friends that married 15 years ago they
have already children there are Mitzvah
already you're coming here talking to me
about thanking AEM it's easy for you to
say but but but look at me I said you
know what you're right I think it's time
to bring in the guest speaker but but
let me give him a call I call him R you
ready to come in he said of course I'm
always I was born ready like what oh I
said guys please I'm asking everybody
just sit back he asked a very good
question this
B I think the guest speaker is going to
come in the surprise guest and he's
going to answer everything and he he
rolls out his uh out of the car and he
he doesn't need help he he says Hashem
gave me I don't have legs but I have two
healthy uh hands and he comes in with a
wheelchair just like this and
everybody's like and he comes in with a
smile and he goes straight to the to the
to the front and he
says where's your smiles guys and he
turns around to the and he and and and I
see that this guy is looking over there
and he's like
ah how can he smile he doesn't have legs
and this and that and then he start
sharing his story and then what I heard
from him was amazing that his first the
whole sh was more about
money and he himself said it that hasem
made this whole thing happen that he
should get to his real bash and K she's
such an amazing wife and and she cooks
and she does every everything that the
doctor said that she's not going to be
able she can do and he has a whole
family with children and he and he turns
around to the B and he says is there
anybody that is depress here and of
course everybody was quiet and one guy
was like I don't have this I said okay
let me see what don't you have I see you
have a nice suit I see you have glasses
so that means your eyes probably was a
little weaker but you have glasses so
you can see now I see you can stand up
when I told you to stand up I see you
have hands you have all 10 fingers on
the hand on the feet what is your issue
that you didn't find your bash yet what
are you worried hasem created the world
he's running it for almost 6,000 years
everything is wor what do you think that
only
your and he says Ari do you have a story
about and I said yes I want to share
with you something three years ago
someone called me up also it was a
single guy um he was if I'm not mistaken
he was 20 and his friends got married
already by the 18 so by him by 20 he was
already and he tells me AR I hear about
thank you Hashem I hear that people
thanking hasem they see Miracles we
always you know we say thank Hashem and
see Miracles what can I do I say every
day what I want you to do is you said
give me something simple easy and I want
to say this to the orians also you know
sometimes you tell for someone to do
something like go learn a blood gamor
day or go say the the whole to Hill you
know stuff that tell me something that
is easy I say tell me one thing what do
you have he said I have I have a job I
have a car um I said can you eat I said
yeah he said yes you have money he said
you know the basics the buy food so I
said every
day and it's something that do the more
people I say it the more they say that
they see open Miracles I say how many
times that day do he said three times a
day so the only thing that I'm asking
you to do is when you say the three
words when you
thank I want you to stop and think of
three things that you're grateful to
Hashem he said uh oh I have so many I
said I know start with three so when he
start the day by shakas the the the
morning prayer
you can anything that happened from last
night till today so let's say you woke
up today you had a good night's sleep
you thank for a good night's sleep um
you had a good coffee thank AEM for a
good coffee you know all the
ingredients um uh it was a bad weather
let's say outside but you have
four-wheel drive on your car and and and
you drive and thank you hashm for the
fourwh anything that comes to your mind
and the same thing by the men prayer
again three things that happened from
Shak to and then by anything that
happened from to he said that's it that
you're asking me to do I said that's it
nine so so it's 3 three three it's a
total of nine nine is the EMS em is nine
right
of one four and four is a total of nine
and he said nothing else I said nothing
else this is more than enough and guess
what he started doing it he started with
three and then it went to four to five
it came to a point where he told me Ari
I'm writing down every day 50 things I
can't go to sleep before this and guess
what the 50th thing was I'm thanking
Hashem that I'm still
single few months later I don't know if
it was I can't say if it was 40 Days
Later 60 days or 90 but literally in a
short period of time he became engaged
with a girl that was 17 years old if you
think about it I told them so look by
the by the Imagine when you were 18 how
old was she she was like 13 14 you see
you didn't know that your Basher is
still too young to get so Hashem said
you know what let your friends go first
you you do your part and then once you
start thanking me like we said before
and chapter 100 it
says sometimes you want to go get in
into the door but it's closed you know
how you can get into the door through
thanking so this re told for the this
and he he he told him the his story you
know that he woke up and he was without
legs and know a few weeks later he was
without a Gala without legs without he
was by a point where there was really no
reason for him to continue but he chose
the light he said thank you Hashem I
still have a a a clear head I I still
have my memory my my head is working I
still have two hands and you know what's
funny is one of the BAM stood up over
there and he said that a few weeks ago
he was really depressed and he went into
the grocery and he saw something that he
never saw in his life he saw rabes going
into one of the big supermarkets either
Bingo or Evergreen he was with one hand
pushing his wheelchair and with the
other hand pushing the cart and every
time he looked up he was smiling to
everybody he walked in this B and he saw
it and he was like what I'm walking
around so I'm waiting for my Basher
guess what it will happen look at him so
the idea is every single person that is
alive and is walking around and you're
not connected to machines and everything
is working you have so much to be
grateful and thankful and when you do so
and you start looking at all the goods
of hm is giving you and you're grateful
and you're thankful um you're basically
just going to bring more good things to
you you know like it says in
the the more you're gonna say thank you
the more I'm gonna do more good with you
and and that's and that's the idea the
light to unite yep so we're asking we're
not asking people to read a hamura we're
not asking people to keep shabas it's
challenging right stop everything for 20
we're asking people to do one thing to
light one yards side candle and to share
that with other people and that will
ignite the world and I'm thanking Hashem
in advance that every day we keep
building up this it's a movement also
light to unite it's not a corporation
it's a movement just like thank you
Hashem right these movements are what
move people to come back to Hashem to
unify as American and it's essential
because America is fragmented the the
observant Jews different sex of were're
not coordinated and we need to
coordinate there AUM with other types of
lfish and Russian all the different
Observer need to come together in light
I'm asking a Shem in advance let the
different major rabbis light and have
their communities light and by doing
that it will show the secular Jews wow
this is really what's happening so right
now we're maybe 15 to 20% are observant
80% are not observing but they can be
but when we left Egypt only 20% left 80%
died in darkness I don't want that to
happen to my fellow Americans because
that's where you're sitting we want to
light you up we want to bring you with
us doesn't have to be 100% 5% 20 we get
up to 30 40% Who start to thank Hashem
observe something do something just by
starting to light right now that's how
we can do it wow you just said something
that that you reminded me of something
uh you said that in Egypt in the
darkness um how do you say Darkness
Ines what Mak was it
Mak right the opposite of if you turn it
around
is is right the word of thank you say so
sometimes if someone is in the darkness
and they want to get out of it I'm sure
no one likes to sit in the darkness no
one wants to be there they just need
something to pull them out so by doing
this little thing of lighting a candle
in you're basically going to do the
opposite of that's going to be light um
darkness is negativity or ingrate in
light is positivity in showing that
you're grateful and thankful um you know
and the gamor says that if someone has
only a certain amount of money to either
buy Kal bread or a candle for shabas
they should rather buy the candle
because the candle is what's going to
light up the room and when they lights
up the room don't you don't have to
worry you will find the bread already so
the idea is like tovia just said instead
of sitting in the darkness you know we
live now in a world in 2024 where you
know people originally said only in this
place is scary to live only in this
place oh this place the can you find a
place in the world where you really feel
secure I mean without Hashem there is no
place in the world that you can say I
feel secure I feel that the government
and everything is taking care of me it's
only one thing that is going to make you
feel good and secure and that is if you
are connected with Hashem and the whole
idea of thank you Hashem is connect to
hasem through thanking Hashem a lot of
people say I want to connect to Hashem I
don't know how what you should do is is
simply in any situation and and ores we
say in any mat you are just find a
reason to thank Hashem and slowly but
surely it's going to connect you to
Hashem and I love this initiative with
the light unite because anybody can
afford to buy a candle I mean what is a
candle 10 cents 20 cents and inflation
could be $5 today but even that'll be
the best $5 exactly you you light a
candle and while you light the candle if
you don't even know what bro to make
when you light the candle either for
Hava or a shabas or anything or even
just say Hashem I'm lighting a candle
for you I want to you know you created
the whole world and I'm just a little
piece in the puzzle and I just want to
bring out more light and by doing so
hasem is is going to open your eyes it's
going to actually shine into a shine
upon yourself and you're going to be
able to find more reasons and the more
Hashem is going to give you the more
you're going to say you know what I feel
like wow I feel like such an angry you
know what let me d a little to Hashem or
let me observe shabas only five minutes
out of the 26 or 27 hours and then a
week later you say wow Hashem gave me
more let me do it for 10 minutes let me
do it for 15 minutes a lot of people the
mistake that I realize in life is uh
especially when it comes with you know
with with being observant that a person
thinks in order to be a Jew and
observant Jew you have to do the whole
and you have to do everything at one
time and if not you're
not you know it
says the the the inside life hem knows
what you know if a person comes from
nothing and you start with a little
thing like like lighting a candle and
then you go to the next step I I
remember I heard fromi said that if
someone is doing shabas it's it's it's
amazing words um while he's eating and
he just says I'm eating because it's
shabas and even it's not Kosher he's
still gonna get for it so I'm gonna pick
up on so because of this work there's a
a lady who I'm very close to who helped
me have my father buried instead of
being cremated named Robin meerson and
uh she's project Inspire Arizona who's
one of our first
collaborators and uh she's involved with
the shabas project of which she's asked
me to join them she runs the whole North
America for the shabas project they will
be doing their big event on November
15th November 15th important date um but
that is to to get people to participate
in chabas so this is an announcement
that after our September 29th it doesn't
stop there you have another date to move
forward by participating in the shabas
project you can do whatever you want to
do they're they're talking to thousands
hundreds of thousands of people you can
do whatever you want but shabas is the
Cornerstone to our y kite and just doing
it a little bit you'll do a little bit
more I never heard shabas I never had
shabas until I was 50 years old and I
have the most amazing shabas now it's
the best it's the best part of the week
to I want to come to aab I I want you to
come I want to come to
Youk every day I like to I think in my
mind that I want to be thankful joyful
and grateful to Hashem wow I do that
every day and I do that for two rabbis i
d them for them every day that they have
good parasa and brooken their money yeah
but more importantly that they're happy
joyful and grateful at that
day so you had two options you either
said you know 50 and it's really like
okay I will just continue the way it is
I was continue I was already at the 48th
or 49th level of Schmutz wow I was
living in Manhattan I was living in
Harlem wow and and like the the Jewish
nation was in Egypt Hashem had to pull
him out the last minute I was literally
pulled out of it by rebit and young rice
and the young R family to take me out of
the left right being a lefty a liberal
Democrat going to University
Pennsylvania which is a disaster now wow
taken there to be on the right wow to
become an observant Jew right and to see
the light right and see the light wow
wow and and that's why I do what I do
and now I can see in your eyes that you
enjoy every day I love it wow wow and
Hashem brought me amazing wife I thank
her every day and that's who introduced
me to you wow and when you did your
campaigns she was one of the top F she
was right there boom boom boom and and I
was behind the scen you remember when we
did she got yeah yeah she was here I
wanted her to be one of the top three
she got up there yeah we did it in Co
while there was so in Co there was so
much such darkness and and um I was
sitting I remember I was sitting on my
porch
and wow I I remember I said you know we
say by the daving shabas you know there
was no minion then and you were sitting
everybody was isolated and sitting with
a mask let me just
contrived Thing by by the governments of
the world put us in darkness yeah and I
was saying all you
know and all of a sudden it hit me right
here caser is Crown there was
Corona they say I think in one language
either in Latin or in Spanish Corona is
crown and then
covid-19 is covered
and I say one second everybody in 2020
if you remember I think we had done a
pretty good
economy um everything was booming and it
came to a point where people were
everybody was busy with their own things
and everything and and and and Hashem
said hey think about me also you know I
always say it's the three T's think
about me trust me and thank me and when
you do
this so
think trust and thank yes think trust
and thank think trust and thank
so going to be you should have life so I
said you know what wow it's very nice
later I was daving um Mis so by the
of it's very it's right here you see it
says and what are the three next words
wow so if you give me a crown which is
the to it will
be so that's when I came up with this
initiative let's do this um C PR and I
and I wanted everybody to do just a
little you know it shouldn't be
expensive like $2 a word or people can
take a par there were people that were
in the ICU there was one person that was
on an ECMO machine respirators really
bad and and I and I kept on telling for
the family no just take on a little
thing thank you have a lot of Miracles
from we kept hearing Miracle after
Miracle afterward Hashem gave me this if
you think the
word is Corona
to that the the to of Corona is is g to
be the so many people came back and um
the only thing I kept on saying is thank
Hashem that you came out from the
hospital thank AEM you don't have to
breath through you know until 2020 till
Co we took in a way advantage of you
know we can breath on our own that's how
it comes you're born and you can breathe
and all of a sudden no you can breathe
only through a nasal canula or through a
mask and so that's when uh yeah we did
this in in in this also the the idea is
instead of Falling Into Darkness always
take out a message you know someone said
in the word message you know what the
first word is mess if you are in a mess
try to take out a message out of the
mess what does Hashem want from me there
are Darkness going on like toia
mentioned before six really beautiful
souls were taken away by by by this
terrorist organization Hamas in Iran or
whoever it was what is the message that
we should take out of it that we should
really while we have our loved ones and
we have our lives that we should really
appreciate life we should appreciate our
loved ones and we should also on top of
everything show appreciation to the to
the man above that created us which is
Hashem and how can you show appreciation
everybody on their own level if you are
non-observant at all do something even a
little thing light a candle before
shabas light a candle after shabas is
there's a story
of a person that was also born like ovia
in a nonreligious
um household and um he went out with his
friends and they did some kind of
contest I mean youngsters what I mean
I'm amazed that he didn't that he even
did it one of this um places a non koser
restaurant is where they have like very
spicy buffalo wings or chicken wings or
whatever and one of the the contest was
like who can eat like aund times this
and he did this contest and it came into
him a a bog or virus and he literally
got poisoned to a point where they took
him in in the hospital they called his
parents they said they give him only a
certain amount of hours be because I
forgot the name of this disease or
whatever it is that literally it's a
fatal thing once you get it you can't
moms I can't remember but it's something
really bad and he recounts that he went
up to to upstairs and he saw he he felt
like light you're talking about light
and he saw you know the goods that he
did and the bad and he saw one of the
very interesting things because we're
talking about chabas that he got a lot
ofar how do you sayar in English he got
a lot of of reward for shabas he's like
is this the oila moas one second I never
kept shabas but guess what in this let's
say if chabas is 26 hours long every
second or minute that you did not play
on your phone or you were not on your
computer or you were not driving your
car you get credit you get credit for it
so let's say for shabas he was sleeping
let's say 12 hours from Friday night
night the shabas morning he gotar credit
for it and so he said that people don't
know that even if you're not observant
you just said you know what instead of
being on my phone which I'm I remember
not long ago someone came to my house a
non-observant i i someone had to turn on
the light so he sat down by our shabas
table right not a non 613 and he sat
down and he ate and he said wow this is
good food I mean how can someone not eat
and enjoy the kala and the fish and the
grape juice and the wine and all this
good stuff um and then he said you guys
are sitting here there is no phones
there is not even a light you have to
call so I said yeah because God created
the world in six days and the seventh
day he said I the only thing I want you
to do is just sit back relax don't do
anything if you want you can thank than
me you can D you can eat food for sh and
and and and he said wow it's such a
blessing that you don't use your phone I
wish we non-observant people or or
non-jews have such a day in the week
that we are completely you know it's
like you pull out the plug and you said
just just relax and just enjoy the sh
for for the opening so this is an
invitation for everybody to light to
unite so the process starts on Friday
evening and we're going to be sending
out invitation and making it known that
all women observant non-observant young
and old they light shabas candles
observant women do it make sure you find
non-observant women non-observant women
look fine we're out there we want to
help you do it but critical that all the
women this is one of the big three
mitzvah for a lady to do is light shabas
candles wow anybody can do it and we can
help people to do that um that's the
beginning and then on Sunday the 29th
the first piece will be given the issues
that we're dealing with the universities
and the colleges which has gotten
totally out of control we will be having
our first panel of approximately eight
representatives from the college and
university side both the students and
the executives that coordinate into this
space the second will be the ladies
there'll be a program this is these are
all pre-recorded podcast leading into
the main event and that will be the
ladies about eight ladies very prominent
ladies talking about the Mitzvah of
lighting wow why they light wow and and
women are much better than men at
networking and doing multiple things at
one time multitasking so it's critical
that we have powerful women join us
because they push the men a lot just
like my wife pushes me wow and this
leads into the main event 2:00 New York
time 9:00 is Real Time 7:00 in uman in
Europe that everybody goes ahead and
lights one candle and also thank AEM
that you're given the opportunity to do
this today that you can light a candle
you can light a candle and do it yeah
you can do it you're doing it not just
for your you're doing for all these
Souls they can't do anything once we're
here we can do Torah we can learn Torah
we can do Mitzvah once we're gone we
can't do
anything up there we see what's going on
but it's for us children parents we've
lost people that we light it's for their
souls wow it elevates everybody at the
same time and this is why we win this is
why we're still here this is why the the
the people are not taking we're not
going anywhere we're going to strengthen
ourselves in America we're going to
strengthen Israel and we're can living
past every other Dynasty wow we're here
and we're not going anywhere else but we
must be unified to do it right it needs
to
beus right it says that uh one of the
bikes that was destroyed was because of
people where everybody was like living
for themselves in not being I think the
word is Unified unified yeah in the
second you do the unification you're
unified then you show Hashem you know um
one one brother has a mind other brother
one sister has a mind the other sister
and we tell for other people to do the
same thing to you know you have a candle
and you can light you see a person you
say would you like a c would you like to
light a candle and if they say they
don't have say you know what come into
my house light a candle here you showas
in and Hashem does everything mid mid so
whatever we do Hashem does with us as
well so the second hasem says that we
are unified and we are Adas and we
really care for each other Hashem is our
father and we are his children and
Hashem says you know what I see you also
want so badly I should come back to you
and build up the the Third Temple the
you knowes and and yeah through this
will definitely come so I I really like
this initiative in in and like you said
when a person lights the candle just
have in mind something anything thank
AEM for your parents if you have them
thank AEM for your spouse thank AEM for
your job for your car for for your house
thank AEM for any little thing and and
and the more you're going to thank
Hashem the more Hashem is going to give
you more reason so you can thank him
even more and the other important part
when I moved to Brooklyn I met Rabbi
holtzberg from habad he has one of the
bigab operations out here he's
constantly talking about how important
it is for Jews to love other Jews to
love your fellow Jew so that's what we
must do we must love our fellow Jew and
that's what Unity is what I thing and
this is my own interpretation is we're
told we have to love our fellows it
doesn't mean you have to like them you
don't have to agree with them but you
have to love them that's your brother
and your sister you may not agree with
them so every time I walk into room okay
I look for one thing I can like about
that person instead of one thing I don't
like about them I don't like what
they're forget the negative stuff focus
on that POS and say one positive thing
to someone all of a sudden you have a
connection you have a friend true so the
unification is that we have to stop
thinking bad things and there's a whole
other area that I've been concentrating
on the last three years is called onir
Sol not speaking Lush
andar we have to speak good so the more
we shut our mouth if we didn't say 50%
of things we say we'd probably much
better off for our lives all of our
Lives me too think of positive things
and stop cursing four lay words stop
saying negative things say and that's
the light that brings light that and
that's what Hashem wants to see and just
say thank you advance Hashem that I
don't have to speak bad stuff anymore I
don't curse anymore I don't look at bad
stuff true true it's it's what you just
said uh a lot of people tell me that
they had this thing of lanara and once
they started thanking Hashem slowly but
surely it fell away and the reason is
because sometimes when a person is in
darkness everybody wants to feel like he
is something but if he's in darkness he
has nothing so in in it
says meaning that if he see something
bad by someone this gives them a little
uh you know gives them a little
gratification or something so that's why
they speak Luan har because they feel so
bad about themselves and they want to
like give it out but really it's because
it comes from a bad place now if they
are starting to like you said uh
thinking positive automatic thinking
positive is going to make you talking
positive so it's another thinking
positive is talking positive I have uh
on my phone it says always when I open
it up it says positive thinking equals
positive results and when you do
so you know all the good things will
come out great so Rabbi Ari we're GNA
wrap up now um before I want to thank
Robbie and the huzak organization for
Natan Rabbi yanov uh Anna L who've been
helping this entire process and our
other partners from project Inspire
Arizona and from uh the auth orthodo
Jewish uh Orthodox Jewish Chamber of
Commerce and for all the other
organizations we're reaching out to
because this is about all organizations
joining observant non observant we can't
do it by ourselves and the real
unification is breaking down and doing
things with other people W you don't
have to be in silos you'll get much more
done when we do it together so give us
one more wrap up and and then we'll let
her everybody go tonight thank you I'm
looking here it
says so a lot of people interpret this
that it's it's two separate um you know
pum where basically who want who's the
person that wants
life and they want to enjoy
life that's top speak English right so
this is what I always thought when I
started with the thank you Hashem
organization in one day I was looking at
it and I I'm like no no no it says the
question and the answer in the same
paragraph who is the person that wants
life who doesn't everybody wants life
they really want to enjoy their
days is the answer learn to look at
everything with a positive eye if you're
going to do the L then you will have a
good life yes it's a bonus on top of
this and everything but
really you want to enjoy your life L to
learn to to see the good and everything
and I'm thinking now we doing this
initiative light toite lto starts with a
l it finishes with a t l Right light is
the same thing it starts with a l and it
finishes with a t so little how can you
see if it's dark so you got to you got
to light up so what do you do you simply
take a little tea candle just light it
up and just say thank you hasem and the
rest will come you will tell for your
friends and eventually I can see a
million people lighting candles and this
will be I I I'm really proud to be part
of it so thank you to you for giving me
the honor to and my wife are looking
forward to having you and your family
join us for shs in Brooklyn and we want
to come to you in M oh M oh my thank you
thank you thank you everybody thank you
so much
