we're going to have a good stream. You
can't even imagine how many delays, how
many problems, how many issues,
everything to get to this live must be
that at least one of you or maybe one of
the users that didn't log in yet must be
that this session is for you because the
because the is making whatever he can to
make sure that this is not going to
happen. And you all have to understand
I'm leaving tomorrow night on our on my
tour. It's busy here like a mad house
and [snorts] all we wanted to do is the
sedar of Tishbat
that
that you can all have some type of an
idea about the sedar of Tishvat
and have it and celebrate it where you
are. So
thank you. Thank you. Please, if in the
first few minutes if you can just let me
know that you hear me well [snorts]
because I'm getting all sorts of popups
on my screen. Just wanted to make sure
that uh everything works well.
See, now I lost any comments.
Now we hear you. Okay, perfect.
So, we're going to wait a few more
minutes till everybody jumps on board.
But uh for me it's already
and
less than 24 hours. I'm on my way to the
airport and starting my tour in the
United States. Starting in Los Angeles
Tuesday and Wednesday are lectures both
in Los Angeles and in Enino.
And uh then I'm flying out to Denver.
Shabbat. I'm going to be in Denver. and
mo Shabbat powerful lecture in Aurora.
Sunday morning another lecture in Aurora
and Sunday evening a big event in
Denver.
H of course all the topics are on the
website. You don't have to now ask where
and what and how. Just go to
atsmood.org/our.
The link is in the description of the
live and you find all the information
about the tour. From there I am
continuing to South Florida. First
lecture is Boca Raton. Second lecture is
in southwest west ranches. And third
lecture is in Aventura. All amazing
topics. And from there flying out
through New York, Shabaton in New York.
And then a series of lectures. Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Sundays in
Long Island, five towns. Wednesday,
Monday is Brooklyn. Tuesday is Rosh
Shadar. Very, very, very big event in
Queens. And that is a special one. And
on Wednesday, last event of the tour and
that I will actually address this event
shortly in the live, but that event I
think is this summarizing the entire
event and you just need to look at the
topic and understand what we're going to
have there. And I highly recommend that
you go to atmood.org/our.
The link is under the video where you
can see all the information about the
tour. And uh and if you in one of these
cities then uh I recommend to you to
show up. If you're not, share it. Maybe
you have friends, families, somebody
from those cities and uh they will
benefit from that.
So, I think we have already a few people
on the line and we can start and uh as
[clears throat] I said for me it's
already tishbad here in Israel and we
have a few uh user a few people here
from Israel. I saw before a few comments
so in Israel it's already tishbad and
needless to say east from here Australia
and so forth. And unfortunately,
Tubishmat is one of the most
underestimated, most ignored holiday on
the Jewish calendar. And I hope tonight
I can shed some light and explain the
depth of Tishbat and what can be
achieved and how powerful this day is.
Uh there are four heads of the years
and
is the shaote the head of the year for
the trees. Now what did that what does
that mean? That's what we're going to
talk about tonight. But
something very magical, something very
powerful happens in the land of Israel
tonight. And the land of Israel gets
rejuvenated today.
And everything around agriculture in
Israel is a mitzvah because you have to
follow the jubilee year and you have to
follow and laws of mass and don't forget
that all our forefathers were farmers
and very soon we are all going to be
farmers. So everything around the land
of Israel is connected to a mitzvah.
And tonight you're going to be around
the mitzvah of Israel because we're
going to be uh tasting from the seven
species. When I mentioned the lecture on
Wednesday, February 18 in New York, I'm
going to talk about a lot of important
topics, but one of them is about uh
the land of Israel, the importance of
the land of Israel and everything around
it. And how is that got to do with you?
But you have to understand that when
something works physical, it also works
in the same way in the spiritual level.
So if we know based on our holy Torah
that onishbat the land of Israel gets
rejuvenated,
then needless to say that in a spiritual
level there is some type of rejuvenation
to the whether it's the nation of Israel
or whether it's the land of Israel.
We're going to discuss that as we go.
But today it's a new beginning. We are
changing now a path a a a completely new
beginning. We're putting the winter
behind and spiritually we are going to
now hop in steps of 15 and there's
significance to the 15 but from today
really it goes back to
that's when the journey starts and I've
explained on that in a previous class.
ones
starts the journey of rejuvenation and
growth is when the shea the power the
energy the life of everything that has
to do with nature and I'll elaborate how
it's got to do with us comes down to the
world and now 15 days from today is
the next step of the light coming down
15 days after that is the purim another
step of the light coming down 15 days
After that is Nissan more
[clears throat] light is coming down and
after that is the 15th day of Nissan.
Sorry I think I said before 15th day.
15th day after purim isan and then 15
days later is pes steps of 15 of growth
and I am already giving you a spoiler
that hopefully if you follow all the
lectures in the tour it will prepare you
to a very spe special journey that we're
going to start when I come back from the
tour from Purim to Pesak so I'm giving
you just a spoiler pay attention I'm
going to address it a lot while I'm at
the tour but when I'm returning. We're
starting a very special journey from
Purim and Pesak. And this year I'm going
to do it more public and we're going to
do something very special. So stay tuned
back to Tishvat and the land of Israel.
On Tishvat the land of Israel gets
rejuvenated. So the entire agriculture
aspect of that is getting its life force
its its energy. I'm going to address the
fact that the Torah compares the the man
to a tree
as the man is the tree of the field and
how is that affecting us but before we
start I want to give a few pointers
about the sed because tonight you're
doing it with me for you most people
online is today it's not even tonight
and by the way uh one option is doing
the sed in the evening uh for me it's
already very late at night that's just
goes to show you how busy it is before
I'm leaving. But best to do it in the
evening of Sunday. And if you can't, you
can do it Monday during the day. And by
the way, today I'm going to do the like
middlesize sed. I'm just going to go
through it some explanations and then
I'm going to leave you to do your own
sed on my website. If you go to
atmood.org/tishvat
and the link is underneath this video,
you will find two options of the
tubishvat. The long version and the
short version. There are different
approaches. the different ways if you
have time.
I'm going to do today summary in between
based on the teachings of the Benishai
the rabbi behind me that's the path of
that I go by so theish that I do is
based on his teaching and his teachings
is based on the
great great from and it's not going to
be the long one but is going to be very
insightful the reason why I'm so
particular about talking giving you this
preparation because I mentioned Rabbi
Rabbi a few hundred years ago here inat
used to do used to conduct a sedishvat
in the same level of sed
and uh with a set table four cups of
wine reading everything not the reading
the hagada but to the same extent
explaining that on pesa When you conduct
the you can reach to a place of freedom
where you can break free from your
limitations that's the concept of pes
but onishvat when you conduct the
tishvat the right way then the same way
that on pes you can reach to a place of
freedom breaking from limitations on
tishvat you can do the exact same effect
effect with rejuvenation
with starting something new and I'll
address that later and I talked about it
in the promo but today is a very
apicious day to set some time for
prayers to do chuva to repent for
whatever you think is blocking you and
to h start a new beginning. It can be a
business, can be investment, can be
marriage, can be looking for another
half, can be anything that is new. Today
has a very strong power to shift
everything and uh bring you to this
rejuvenation and uh and uh and receiving
the power of growth. [clears throat]
One uh quick thing before we start,
well, a few quick things before we
start. Darizel says something very
interesting and for the ones of you who
follow me we're learning from his
writings the gate of incarnations and
he's talking a lot about incarnations
and the the traveling of the souls in
many different ways and he explains
there to make a long story short that
there are souls in trees going through
some type of a tikun a rectification and
there are many ways how we can assist
them
explains that onishvat
when we're conducting the said we
actually by saying the blessings on the
fruit whether is a soul in there in that
particular fruit or tree or not it
doesn't matter but we assist these souls
that need that elevation. So just
another thing to kind of take to
consideration because maybe uh some of
our loved ones are not in a good
spiritual place and maybe by us saying
the blessing on the fruit the right way
with the right intention then maybe we
are assisting either a soul that I know
or maybe a soul that I don't know but it
doesn't matter if I know them or not. If
I can assist, why not?
The Zar says that today
is a day of tikun.
And why? Because today there's a concept
that is called sweetening of the
judgments.
So all it takes from you to do uh some
actions of repentance, chuva, prayer,
charity, changing your thought, I'm
going to do this, I'm going to do that,
taking on yourself some good decisions.
And uh today will give you the push to
actually do it and to be able to reach
to a tikun. And why? Because the power
of the day of sweetening the judgments.
And another thing that the zor
elaborates on that many of the times we
bring on ourselves all sorts of
blockages. I sin. I I talk gossip. I say
lash. I look to the wrong direction. I
steal. I I slander. Whatever it is. and
I will cause some type of a blockage in
the channel where the life force the
kayud comes down and that's done by my
sin. That's why I always say that my sin
is basically what punishes me. It's not
a action. It's a it's a it's a reaction
to my action. So the sorry the explains
how today one can reach to a place of
removing these blockages. So you
focusing with yourself on things that
you know kind of bother you and stop you
from your spiritual growth and today you
can kind of kick it out of the out of
the ring.
Uh
one more thing I want to quote these
from who mentions the verse
the like the man is the man is like the
tree of the field. So he says something
very interesting. He says, "Today we're
going to eat from dried fruit." And many
times our nama is like a dried fruit.
Fruit is like, you know, crumbled and
dry and weak. You no hope, no energy,
nothing works out, you know, you're
like, so the lublin says by by eating
the dried fruit, we bring life force to
our and rejuvenate it. And uh he
promises if you do it the right way you
you rejuvenate your soul. You start a
brand new beginning.
And last but not least before we start
and then
conclude uh today is a very powerful day
like I said for rectification for chuva
but for prayers for gula and I'm just
summarizing not bringing you all every
little detail. Prayers for parnasa.
Today the gates of parnasa can be opened
in a large sheffa today can bestow on
you. And last but not least is finding
your other half which two bishvat is
known to have the ability to bring two
souls together. Therefore I'm going
tonight I'm going to be in madam praying
and tomorrow I'm going to be in.
uh underneath the video there's links
you can submit names and uh for me to
pray on your behalf and uh all that
great stuff.
So without further ado, before we start,
I quickly want to just remind everybody
if you can wash your hands. We're not
going to wash for bread in this session.
But since we're going to be saying a lot
of blessings and you might have touched
your hair, shoes, and all sorts of
places, then wash your hands. No
blessing, no nothing. Just uh
for cleansiness. And I'm just the way
what I'm going to do is I'm just going
to grab what I need to eat, say the
blessing, read the verses, explain in a
few words, and uh and then we're going
to continue. Might be some
interruptions, might be some noises. My
family is all here starving, waiting to
eat. They're all like eating their
fingers already. Uh some of them are
already crashed.
Uh
but uh we'll start. We'll see how it
goes. If I have time and you write some
stuff, I'll try to look, maybe answer
some questions. But without further ado,
let's begin. So, we're going to start by
saying the blessing of meote. By the
way, we're going to say the blessings on
different categories. Misonote, which is
wheat and barley, and then wine. And
after that it but from the seven species
and after that which will be uh any
fruit and after that just to conclude
explanations and then the last blessing
uh many have the custom to wash for
bread in many of the years that's what I
do u but I like saying the blessing in
particular that's what the benes teaches
to say the blessing
and if you wash for bread then You
covered everything. So what one can do
is say the blessing and then after that
say the after blessing after wash for
bread and have a festive meal and
celebrate it the right way. So let's
begin. Uh who wants to pass me down some
of that yummy mezonote so we can start
saying bot.
Okay, we're waiting for the volunteers
to pass down
the mezzonut.
In the meantime, by the way, if you're
in Israel and you're just following me,
that's great. If you're in America
or whatever, uh if you can just follow,
take notes, by the way, on my website
atmood.org
tubishvat. You'll find both options of
the short sed and the long sed. Just if
you don't mind, just pass me this. You
don't have to
>> [snorts]
>> That's it. Wasn't that hard, right?
>> Okay.
So, like I said, we're going to start
with bimonaut. My wife made an amazing
cake. I think it's my wife and daughter,
right?
>> Oh, only the daughter or only wife and
daughter? Wife and daughter. Okay. I'm
going to share with you uh the cake was
a little bit eaten, but I'll share with
you the nice cake, [laughter] whatever's
left of it. Nice strawberries and
chocolate cake. And of course, each one
can eat whatever misonote. You can eat
cereal, crackers, uh anything that you
can say the blessing on me on. We
decided to have a cake so we can have a
sweet new uh year for the so
I cut a piece and I recite the
Can you put this down? Please
put it close cuz I'm going to have boron
on the strawberry.
I just noticed I'm going to be eating in
front of you now the whole night.
That's why I didn't do it for years.
having everybody watching and me eating.
Let me read the verses. I will translate
as I read.
[clears throat]
And by the way, if you are following,
I'm reading from the book of chapter
verse
six and on.
You should guard the mitzvot of God your
God and to walk his in his path and to
fear him.
Master of the universe, God your God is
taking you, bringing you to the good
land where there's rivers flowing and
wellsp springs coming from from the
mountains,
a land of wheat and barley,
uh uh grape and fig, remon vite,
pomegranates and olive shem oil and
honey.
A land that you're going to have such an
abundance that abundance you're going to
have any everything.
Nothing is going to miss there.
the land that gives you any mineral and
and precious metals
and you should eat and you should be
full and you should bless God your God.
The famous
verse that is our only indication in the
Torah for prayers for Birkaton. That's
the only prayer from the Torah.
All the rest is from the sages. And why
should we do that?
For the great land that Hashem gave you.
We don't really realize what it means,
the land of Israel. If people would
realize what the land of Israel means,
they wouldn't even leave it for one
second. The only reason why I'm leaving
the land of Israel, by the way, is for
you. I'm not I don't I'm not looking for
anything in America. But when we really
understand the importance of the land of
Israel and what it means, then any
person that would would not leave Israel
for a second. And that's why you see how
the entire world is after Israel because
something is very very powerful here.
Let's continue.
Be very very careful not to forget your
God that you will reject his Torah and
his and his laws and all the rules that
I'm commanding you today.
A pro warning from the Torah. Don't go
away from Hashem.
[snorts]
that you should not get to a place that
you should eat and grow fat and big and
build big properties and
sounds like a little bit like Americans
big properties sitting there everything
is good and looks luscious and big
you have a lot of candles and a lot of
gold I don't know if you noticed the
gold went down today so but nevertheless
It tells you you're going to have a lot
of gold and
everything you have will have an
abundance
and and your heart will harden and
you'll forget the fact that God your God
took you out of the land of Egypt from
being a slave
that Hashem took you through the desert,
fed you, guarded you, and not Not only
that
gave you the man and not only that
it continues by saying
is bringing you into places of
challenges. Why? To test you first of
all to put you under some type of stress
and then to test you
and then why? So at the end after you
pass the test hopefully he's going to
reward you for that
you should not say that it's me my might
my strength that did that
always remember the the master of the
universe
the master of the universe is the one
who's giving you power
for the fact that he's standing standing
firm with his covenant that he told our
forefathers today.
So we learned from the beginning the
importance of the land of Israel of the
blessings of Birkaton when I mentioned
that today is a very auspicious day for
parnas. I can tell you already that if
you need there are a few keys that you
need to make sure but I'm not going to
elaborate on that mo Shabbat next
Shabbat February 7 I'm going to give a
lecture in in Aurora Colorado about
everything about parasa money everything
just listen to that I'm not going to
elaborate on that right now but I can
just give you a hint that you need to
make sure that you saying you want
minimum is to say every Okay, let's
continue. It says uh something here very
very interesting. [snorts]
[clears throat]
From wheat you make bread which is the
main source of food of the man. The
numerical value of the word of wheat is
22. Why? Corresponding to the 22 letters
of the Torah.
The 22 letters of the Torah is the food
of the soul. The bread is the food of
the body and the 22 letters of the Torah
when learning the Torah that feeds your
soul. So you need both from directions.
You need the spiritual and the physical.
Next step, we are going to have some
wine.
And boy, do I have surprises to you. I'm
coming to America with new bottles of
wine. I'm sure you remember uh the the
four cup wines that I brought from
Israel a few times under fire too. But
this trip I'm actually coming with more
with more wine. So stay tuned and
we're just going to be pouring here. Now
in many
forms of doing the sed of tishvat
some have the custom of actually
drinking the four cups of wine there's a
sed how to do it and
of course I always recommend to stay on
your path safari but most people don't
really follow the tubishvad I highly
recommend that you follow the type
somewhere in the middle if You made a
mistake, don't worry about it. It's not
the end of the day if you made the wrong
blessing or did something wrong. It's
mainly the point of sitting down on
Tishvat. It's a festive day to get you
off YouTube. Well, you're now on
YouTube. Sorry. To get you off
Instagram, to get you off Tik Tok, to
get you off all the junk that you're on,
to focus for half an hour a little bit
on kadusha. See what to do. And
hopefully you do it yourself. And I can
guarantee to you you do the you'll see
great blessing in your life with no
doubt and a huge change.
We're going to say the blessing on the
wine.
>> Amen.
[snorts]
>> Want some?
>> I know not you.
Okay. few verses that we read after the
wine.
It says that wine will make the heart of
a human happy. Well, that we know. We
know that. That's no, you don't have to
be a genius for that. Especially if you
drink the another wine that makes you
extremely happy.
But the verse that I'm reading from is
from the book of Tim uh chapter 104
verse 15 for Tishbat
and the direct translation if we need to
go to the direct translation.
This time I brought I came here prepared
since I never did the pes like that. But
uh let me see what the translations say.
Even though I'm always very very unhappy
with the translation, but let's see what
it says just so I can explain it the
best way.
In the meantime, if you can give me some
thumbs up that you can hear me and I'm
not talking to myself, that can also be
very helpful.
[cough and clears throat]
Okay,
if you can give me some some thumbs up,
that would be I only got four thumbs up
for one person. So, [clears throat]
okay. So, the translation of the verse
and wine which cheers man's heart to
make the face shine from oil and bread
which sustains man's heart.
Now let's see
what uh [clears throat] our sages
explain why
does the wine called and also
is called because it brings a cry to the
world.
It's another word of wine in Hebrew.
If you try to go against it, you become
very very poor.
Says,
it says, it's written without a V, but
you read it with a VV. He explains
if you go what's called head-tohead
and you're going against what Hashem is
putting on your path. And in Hebrew, we
call it head-to-head. Hashem is pushing
you there and you going there. He says
the reason why we call it the ro if you
have the merit then you merit to become
r means ahead advance and if not become
rash and where rash means poverty and
very little saying in other words hashem
is putting road stop like on your road
on your path where you need to go don't
don't try to go against it don't don't
try to fight it just follow what hashem
is telling you and you'll see you'll be
you you'll be fine. That's where
humility has to come in.
Next it says
the son of Rabbi says in the name of
how where do we learn that we don't say
po poetry and singing
but on wine which means we take wine and
we need to say psalms around the
he's quoting a verse and saying uh yeah
but it says that uh that wine is
supposed to bring some type of joy. So
and he's quoting a verse this verse is
from the book of Judges verse chapter 9
verse 13
and [clears throat] excuse me so it says
he's asking there if wine is what h
makes people happy so what does God make
people happy with?
That's why we learn that we say psalms
of praises to Hashem on wine.
It's explaining now that after we said
the blessing of the wine, we're going to
take a fruit from the tree, but from the
seven species, which means that we can
take either olive or fig or a date.
Later on, we're going to do batm the the
pomegranates. If you don't have it all,
it's also okay.
But the first one that we want to take
is the zite is the olive. And when we
say on it, do we have an olive here? Oh,
right next to me.
We're going to say borri on the olive
being from the seven species. But right
after that, we going to eat also from
the date and fig and everything. But
we're not going to say any braha.
If you can, I highly recommend, excuse
me, that if you do the sed,
the fruits, the vegetables, everything
that you have, especially the wine
should be from the land of Israel and
especially the seven species. If you're
in the land of Israel, you don't have a
problem. But if you're somewhere in the
world, not only that you should buy
kosher
um olives or kosher wine, try to make it
that you buying the wine, the co the the
olives, everything from the land of
Israel.
And we quote,
"A land of milk and honey.
A land that their its fruits are so
luscious.
They're lush like milk and sweet like
honey."
It says in the
He says at one time he came to and found
a cluster of grapes laying on the table
and it looked like a calf of three years
old. huge for a cluster of of grapes.
Sorry went to
he saw a goat lying neck under the the
tree of the figs
and and milk coming out from the goat
and milk is and and honey is coming down
from the fig and they mix into each
other. Wow. That's the land of Israel.
After we eat from the from the olive, we
say
we're quoting here our sages saying that
the
olive is a fresh and beautiful and it's
its oil shines the world and the same
way that beta migdash shines its light
for all around the world
and he quotes how all the nations follow
the master of the universe. Therefore,
our sages and our forefathers and our
great teachers are also called compared
to an olive. Why? because they're
shining their world with their amuna and
with their Torah. Beautiful. The same
way, how beautiful. The same way that
the olive, the oil of the olive is used
in the holy temple to shine the world.
So our great sages and our great
teachers, they shine the world with
their Torah and with their amuna. And
therefore, they are also called like a
fresh olive. Beautiful. Now, we're going
to eat from the date,
and we're not going to say Abraa.
I highly recommend that you always check
all your fruit, all your vegetables for
bugs, and any other living creatures.
Uh, again, we're not going to say the
blessing. And if you can get dried fruit
from Israel, even better.
Okay, let's continue. It says
the son of Abba says in the name of
he's quoting part of a verse from
[clears throat] sorry not so easy to
teach and eat.
So he quotes a verse from uh sorry uh
the book of Mish chapter 27 verse 18 and
uh sorry and he says how come the words
of Torah
how come the words of Torah are compared
to a fig
why
Beautiful.
But I I don't know why I jumped to the
fig. See, that's the problem here.
Sorry, we're back on the We're back on
the date.
Sorry. See, I made a mistake here. So, I
went a little bit ahead.
is
the sadic will blossom like a like a
date tree
if it's quoting the word tamar date why
is it also saying is a tree
and if you're saying a tree why should
you
If I would call it only date, then you
would say the same way that a date tree
doesn't change its trunk
maybe
doesn't change his trunk.
If I would say tree and not specifically
date
a tree is not necessarily is a general
name maybe it's a tree that doesn't make
fruit
how can you say maybe a sadic doesn't do
fruit therefore we say both the tamar
and the just to recap what he was saying
that how can we compare the sadic to a
date it says
the the sadic will grow and grow and
grow like a day tree. You ever saw day
tree? It goes meters and meters and
meters. So if you go in the path of
righteousness, you're going to grow and
grow and grow and as they say they try
the sky is the limit. The question is
why is it quoted only as a date sorry as
a date and a tree and not just a date or
just a tree. So it's saying the same way
that a tree a general tree maybe is not
making fruit. So why would I call the
sadic that way? He's not going to make
fruit. You're not going to make any
progress spiritual growth in growth in
this world. And if you say it's only a
date, then the tree the trunk of the
date tree doesn't doesn't change. So
maybe what the sadic doesn't change. I
can't do chuva. Therefore, it says we'll
call it both and tamar. And that what
you want to take from that is that when
you are going in the path of
righteousness, then you're going to grow
and grow and grow and reach levels that
there's no end. And if you are not only
going in the path of a date rather just
a regular tree that doesn't bear fruit,
then you you grow there. Sorry. You just
stand there with no growth,
>> no fruit, no
achievements, nothing. Life is just
standing in the same place.
Now, let's eat some figs. Do we have
figs here?
We have right.
Okay. Pass me some figs.
Okay. And I apologize for you seeing me
eating like this.
I can tell you everything is delicious.
I can't wait to eat everything once we
got off the live.
Okay, after we eat the fig, let's go
back to what we said before.
Said in the name of
that they're quoting
[clears throat] saying, "Why are words
of Torah compared to a fig?" And he
answers, "The same way that the fig
tree, the at any time of the year, you
will find figs. All year round, there's
going to be fruit on the tree."
The same thing with words of Torah.
anytime you're going to turn to the
Torah, you're going to find something
good there. So the same way that the
figs are year round, the Torah is
available at all times. Brilliant and
beautiful.
What do you take from that besides
eating the yummy figs?
is that at every moment your mind has to
be channeled on the Torah one way or
another. Whether it's through learning
prayer, doing mitzvot, doing good
things, your mind constantly has to be
around the Torah. But more than that,
one needs to take from that and one
needs to learn
as much as Torah possible. Now, we're
going to go to the pomegranates. Can you
bring me the pomegranates? And since
every time you go sit back there, just
bring me the pomegranates and bring me
right after that also the walnuts. And
if you don't mind like a spoon or
something. No, no. The ones at the end.
And bring me also a spoon. Matim.
Okay. So now we're going to eat some of
the pomegranates. And if you notice up
till now, we ate olive from the seven
species. Then we ate from uh the date.
Then we ate from fig. Now we're going to
eat from the uh pomegranate.
And again, I'm just reminding you, no
blessings. And uh we're just eating and
uh reciting the the the verses
till my uh wonderful assistant will
bring me uh
okay.
So not really the seasoning for
pomegranates, but let's see what goes.
M
very good
for no season. That's pretty good.
One of my favorite sages, the Rabbi
says,
"The sinners of Israel, the light of
hell cannot control them."
So much more so that the light of
doesn't have control of the altar made
of gold.
Why you what's what's why are you
mentioning the the the
altar made out of gold? And it says that
it's um the weight of a few
a few gold bullions.
It was working for a few years and the
light of the fire doesn't didn't control
it.
And it says that the the sinners of
Israel are full of with
commandments like a pomegranate so many
seeds.
He's
quoting where he's reading it from
said
which means the side of the of the hell
rather the ones who are empty
even the ones who are empty from
there they're still full of mitzvot
even so so much more so to make this a
long h long explanation short that he's
passing
positive judgment and that's what we
need to learn from that he's saying you
know what even the sinners of Israel
they're still full of mitzvot any
direction that you look at a person and
you can point a finger and say oh he's
sitting if you look very well you'll see
that that person is doing a lot of other
mitzvot maybe better than you in many
other places therefore one should always
look at another person and judge him
favorably and not whatever looks on the
outside is exactly how it is.
Now we're going to go to eat uh how do
you call these? Pecans.
>> Walnuts.
What?
>> Walnuts.
>> Walnuts. Okay.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I used to eat them when I
was young and I used to crack them with
my hands. I know some people have like
the crackers. All you need to do is put
two of them together and you know, you
crack it open and and uh and you open
it. So, we're going to eat a piece of
the walnut.
I did it pretty good. It's still whole.
Okay.
So, we have this. I'm going to eat it.
I'm so hungry.
Okay. Why do we eat?
Why do we eat from the walnuts?
It says that in many places our sages
compare the nation of Israel to walnuts.
Why?
Because when you look at a walnut tree,
you don't see much going on there. It
looks like a very simple tree.
And uh and not only that, when you uh
bruise the tree, so to say, inside of
it, you found a lot of more food just by
the the the the walnut. That's what it
says.
That's the the concept of the nation of
Israel.
They're modest and humble in their
action
and their sages, their students, their
the Torah learners are humble and they
don't show off.
You sometimes see a person looks a
simple person, but if you start talking
to that person, you suddenly see there's
wisdom here that you can't imagine. It's
just these people don't go and brag.
First of all, you're looking at a looks
like there's nothing in it. Looks like a
piece of, you know, it doesn't look like
there's food. If you like, let's say,
new here and you see this, this doesn't
look like really like food. Same thing.
Sometimes a person from the outside
doesn't look so great, but in the inside
there's great food.
Very interesting. It says here the same
way that uh uh you know many things can
happen on the walnuts and not affect
what's inside. It says the same thing on
the nation of Israel. They can be around
other situations, other nations living
in exile, but it doesn't affect the
inside. At least what we're hoping.
Let's continue. I don't have anrog, but
some people have the custom of eating
anrog. We're just going to eat instead
of anrogue, we're going to need an
apple. And again, no blessings.
And if you're already asking if you want
to dip it in honey, you can. Not the
don't have to.
Now we're almost done.
We made a blessing on the perote on the
on the tree we had from the seven
species
had now from the apple and now we're
going to have a fruit that is adama from
the ground which of course no of the
spec seven species but just to say
another blessing
I'm going to have uh
strawberry
[clears throat]
for that we are going to say a blessing
because it's
It doesn't have to be necessarily a
strawberry. It can be anything. Anything
that you can say at the m. And uh last
but not least, we're going to say shahak
on something. Can be a piece of
chocolate or a cookie or water. Let's
see what we have here. Uh, do we have
anything shiakle here?
What is that over there?
What is that? No. No. The next to it.
Nothing. So, you know, just bring you
know, bring bring me a cup of water.
I'll say shak on a cup of water. Here,
take this cup. Thank you.
Now, of course, once uh we're done the
eating, you can recite the after
blessings for everything.
And at the end, one wants to recite
And many have other customs from here.
Some wash their hands for bread and go
to the festive meal. There are many
other
and one can read for that if you can
visit on my website at smut.orgishvat
orgishvat
and you're going to see that you have
two versions of the sedishvat. The short
one and the long one. The short one is
kind of shorter than this
and uh but it's powerful and good. The
longer one has a lot more material, a
lot more reading. That's more when you
have time. It might take an hour
especially if you read everything much
more in depth. I wanted to cover the
basics to do the all the blessings and
uh and to mainly show you very briefly
how it's done. But from here I'm going
to go to get off the live. I want to
continue eating. We're going to continue
eating our festive meal. I think you had
enough of me chewing.
But u was important to me a for you to
see and to share. But I definitely want
to take the opportunity to
give over some very important
announcements.
We're not done. I'm just catching your
attention. So, as I mentioned uh before,
maybe you weren't on the line. Tomorrow,
I'm leaving and Israel and I'm going to
be landing in Los Angeles on Tuesday and
starting my US tour in uh Los Angeles,
Denver, Miami, and New York. You can go
to my website atmood.org/ org/our. The
link is under the video. You'll find all
the schedule, all the location. When you
go to that page, all you need to do is
click not on the location, rather click
on the name of the lecture. It takes you
to a page where you see the the flyer,
all the information, address, a video
about the lecture, and if you can, if
you're already there, if you can
download the the flyer and share the
video with people that you know, maybe
they live in the city.
But, uh, if you can help with that, that
would be amazing, the spreading of the
word. Go to the website atmood.org/tour,
download the the flyers. If you know
somebody, Los Angeles, Detroit, Denver,
Miami, and New York to be exact. I have
first lecture in Los Angeles, second
lecture is in Enino. Then I'm going to
be Shabbat in Denver. Mo Shabbat in
Aurora, Sunday morning in Aurora, Sunday
night in Denver. And then Tuesday night,
this is already February 10th in Boca
Raton, Florida. Then after that on
Wednesday, February 11 in Southwest
Ranches and February 12 in Aventura. All
that in South Florida. Then I'm flying
to New York Shabbaton in uh New York.
And Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
February 15, 16, 17, and 18. Four
lectures in a row in New York. Uh first
one Sunday is Long Island. Second one is
Brooklyn. Third one is uh an amazing
amazing event. Roshes.
It's going to be in Queens and we're
starting with a buffet of food and
there's going to be some music and not a
big party, just some music and then an
amazing amazing lecture. I highly
recommend that you go and check out we
made video promos for all the lectures
so you can see what's waiting and of
course all the lectures are going to be
broadcast and you can log in and see it
and the lecture ones
is going to be you you got to if you if
you're in New York come and if you can
log in it's going to be and I'm not
going to spill the beans just go to the
org/our and see what's the lecture about
and what's the event about. And then
Wednesday, February 18,
the the finale, the last event of the
tour, big event in Queens, New York. I'm
going to be talking about everything
that's going on right now and mainly in
the United States. uh addressing a lot
of issues, anti-semitism, security,
economy, and of course, how is that to
do with each and every one of you in the
land of Israel? Should one do aliyah?
And many other things. I'm just this is
just like the tip of the ice, but it's
going to be a very important and
powerful event. I don't recommend for
you to miss it. Doesn't matter where you
live. If even if you can't come in
person, then uh log in to watch the
live. And for that event, you need to
RSVP because the hall the has limited
space if you want to show up. And for
the live that you're going to have to
follow the information, I recommend that
if all this is interesting you to follow
my posts on WhatsApp and all the social
media where we're going to advertise
everything. If you are interested in
coming to one of the lectures or sharing
it, that's the biggest help you can do
is sharing sharing all the flyers, all
the videos, go to the website, download
it and share it. And uh the lecture the
schedule is there and uh it's going to
be amazing. The topics are amazing. I
prepared unbelievable classes. I highly
highly recommend for you to attend and
you you you and of course coming with
some great surprises to from Israel. So
I hope to see you there very soon. And a
few other quick announcements. I said
before in the beginning, but I'll just
repeat it. Tonight for me already is
and
powerful powerful day for for almost
everything. So
once I'm done eating and finishing the
sedar
I'm going to be going to reciting some
prayers there and early in the morning
tomorrow on tishvat I'm going to be
going to the grave of
to say special prayers for that day for
parnas for for everything. So if you
want to submit names for prayers
underneath this video you'll find a link
to atmood.orgishvat
/tubishvat.
All the information is on that page on
the tubishvat page. The sedishvat all
the prayers. There's a lot of prayers
that one needs to say. They're very
short. You don't have to be alarmed. But
I highly recommend that you recite all
of these prayers. Go to that page
atmud.orgishvat.
All the information you need is there.
Videos about tubishvat. Uh all the
information about the prayers links. You
click it. you can uh download the PDFs
and uh
just use how comfortable we made it. And
of course, if you want to submit names
for prayers both to me and Amuka, you
have the whole night and tomorrow. And
now for the cream of the crop for the
last announcement and for the most
exciting announcement. I have taught
many times that tishvat is a very
aspicious time for single people to pray
for uh finding their other half. And if
you follow me well enough uh you know
that I've spoken many times on a match
making service uh or platform I spoke
about it many times. As usual when I
come to do good things the stops it.
He's coming and putting whatever
obstacle he can to make it not work. So,
I'm extremely excited and happy to
announce that finally after a very very
long time, we're ready to launch our
matchmaking platform. I'm not going to
elaborate on that now, but you can
definitely go to atmood.org
tubishvat.
H scroll down a little bit, you'll see a
yellow banner talking. First of all,
watch the video there. Then there's a
yellow banner. Click for more
information will take you to the page
where there's a video explaining
everything and what the stages you need
to do. And uh we're now at launching
stages. So at this point you I don't
want to say too much better to go and
see the video. But uh uh it's going to
take time till we fill the database. You
have to follow the video and all the
explanations. But uh since Tishvat is a
day that you can set a path for a new
beginning, now is a perfect time to to
do that is to you go after this live is
off. I'm going to be done in a few
minutes. And you sit with yourself and
you recap what I said, reread some
verses, explained. It's all nice. It's
spiritual. It's great. I mean, I'm not
taking from its greatness, but really is
after the or after the live, you sit
with yourself and you you you
repent. You make yourself realize and
understand that you're standing in a
turning point today. You can continue
going on the same path that you've been
going the last week, month, or year. Or
you can change your path and you say,
you know what, this is where I'm taking
uh a little turn. And how am I doing
that with changing this this and this
actions that I I don't like and I don't
think they're good for me. So
I can go in depth for hours now
explaining about Tishbat. I'm going to
simplify by saying that our sages
explain that energetically the land of
Israel is getting rejuvenated tonight
and tomorrow which that means that it's
affecting the entire world. And from the
teachings that we know if something is
happening in the world below it's
happening in the world above signifying
there's a rejuvenation in the spiritual
land of Israel. What I take from that in
a short explanation that this is a very
aspicious time that you all you need to
do is
how what would be the right way not to I
was about to say just to tap in but all
you need to do is focus. You need to
channel yourself on the energy of the
day with uh doing the sedishvat
with praying with reciting the prayers
that I'm saying with repenting with
taking the importance of the day and
telling you know what I'm going to ride
on the wave. Today is a wave that you
can just ride on it and the change that
one needs to do is see the faults that
you believe stop you. Whether it's hard
for you to wake up in the morning,
whether you're judgmental towards
another person, whether it's harder for
hard for you to not raise your voice or
lose your temper, we all have a lot a
lot of faults. You just need to focus on
the faults that you believe and you
understand that stop you, that pull you
back. And today with just a few
prayers and the right intention
what would take you normally a lot of
effort
is just so to say taking it taking you
with it just with not a lot of effort
it's a very aspicious time to tonight
sit or tomorrow make yourself a list you
know how I work you make lists I always
write on the left side the things that
I'm not happy about and I feel it stops
me from my spiritual growth and it can
be severe sins. It can be little things
and I gave you some examples that I
gossip, I am judgmental, I'm late to
appointments, I can't wake up in the
morning, I can't control my mouth,
whatever it is, you write all the bad
things that you feel are stopping you.
And on the left part column, you write
all the good things and the good things
that mainly that you would want to do,
but somehow those bad things are
stopping you from doing it. That's it.
and you just connect it on saying okay
if I stop this maybe it will affect me
to start that and we read in the
beginning I didn't get too much into
explanation but the first paragraph that
we read if you remember when I said when
I was quoting the book of the uh chapter
8 verse
six and on that how you should remember
your god and go in his path and remember
that if not go to the book of
and and read it and and that paragraph
is should be your like every day I need
to read it. So maybe you need to mark it
down on one of your uh notes. Book of
the chapter uh 8 verse uh six and on it
goes on for like seven eight verses but
it's basically where the blessing is.
The blessing is that if you if you go in
the path of Hashem and you fear him and
respect him and honor him, then he will
bring you to a place of an abundance, a
place of of
uh quietness, roga. How would you say
roga?
Like a place of serenity, right?
Serenity,
>> peace,
>> peace. Ah, a place of peace and needless
to say, abundance and everything that
you need, you're going to have. Just
just read the verse. Do yourself a favor
and read that part. It's not a verse.
It's about 10 verses. But read it and to
understand how it says in the end that
Hashem is taking you on different paths
to torture you, right?
To give you all sorts of problems,
to test you. Just read that. I don't
need to elaborate on that. That should
be your like, okay, that's what's going
on right now in my life. And as long as
I'm channelneled to Hashem, then things
are going to go good. And when I'm not
channeled to Hashem,
then the road becomes bumpy. How do you
channel to Hashem? With Torah and
mitzvot and repentance. And today is the
day that you can do that jump. For many
people, it's just a lot of theory, but
it's not practical. I'm preparing
myself. If you need to to get get a
practical
advice or or how what I do is that
tonight I I pray and I learn. I'm going
to go to the mikvah before I go to and
go and pray and after that to to amah
and in my mind I'm already set what I
want to work on. What are the things
that I want to remove? I'm praying from
the bottom of my heart for Hashem to
help me control them and to be able to
remove them from my path because I know
that these little obstacles will get me
to a much more successful path. And
that's what I have in mind. And just by
the fact that I'm humbling and giving
humbling myself in front of Hashem and
giving him all the control and pointing
out admitting
this is a fault, this is a fault, this
is a fault, I don't like that, but I
want to change that. You'll see that
Hashem gives you all the power to do
that. And then you char starting a new
path. And from here, I'll elaborate on
that in future classes. From here, 15
days toeshad, 15 days to purim, 15 days
to Nissan, 15 days to to pes and you can
go from one step to another step from
spiritual freedom to spiritual growth
growth to just
an abundance in your life in all aspects
of your life. So, I want to thank you
for your patience and I want to thank my
wife for preparing all this delicious
fruit here and for my kids for staying
