everyone feels not just Jews the whole
world feels that a big change is going
to come to the world they're feeling I
went my whole life thinking that there's
going to be this grandious aha moment
it's going to be like the magic trick is
being revealed right the door opens and
it's like I'm
in none of your business Sushi none of
your business Michael it's the noneof
your business podcast hosted by Michael
anoshi welcome back everybody to another

your business podcast I am so excited to

hasof but first don't forget like

and it's fantastic thank you Stefan
Rabbi Lawrence hasof what a treat it is
to have you here with us it is such an
honor such a pleasure to finally be
invited to your podcast I took time
let's let's be honest we said we needed
a 100,000 listeners first so okay I'll
let you off this time well maybe he's
going to help us get 100,000 listeners
okay okay whatever whatever it takes I
guess right Rabbi Lawrence I don't think
anyone here knows this little tidbit of
a fact but you were sitting on my patio
when we were coming up with the name of
the noneof your business podcast yes
this is a true story we were sitting
around and we were talking about the
fact that we were going to start a
podcast it was a little over a year ago
and we were just uh going around with
names do you remember this I do remember
it vividly yeah on your patio yes on the
patio and there were a selection of
names I think he went to GPT to find a
selection of names actually see which
one fits that didn't work that didn't
work you know I did use chat GPT by the
way to ask today about Rabbi Lawrence
hasof and I have to tell you you're a
pretty accomplished fell Co to chat GPT
asked my wife different story all
together Robert Lawrence you know didn't
you start off your career as a comedian
or something I have some sort of
recollection say I started my career I
used to make a little bit of extra money
when I was at College doing standup
comedy stop it and but I really was
terrible so I gave it up and give a
rabbi instead but I did actually no no
tell me about that experience I need to
know just's jump right into it so there
was a competition at my University that
they wanted to have like comedian of the
year and I applied for it and had to go
through rehearsals and I got the um I
got into the audition and from that I
got um offered various jobs doing comedy
had a good friend of mine called Simon
and he would drive me around to
different places do the stand up you
know comedy and I went to one location
and it was a birthday party a guy had
found me some house a newspaper report
whatever it was and I went this venue
and it was this guy's wife's birthday
but she was turning 90 wow so the
average age and she was young for the
crowd the average age people in their
mid90s and every joke I told you could
hear their false teeth like
cting no laughing and my friend Simon
who was my unofficial agent was outside
and the door was slightly open and I
could see his face and he was crying he
couldn't breathe oh my at that point I
realized that I need to find a new
career was not going to work I did
actually go through class is true by the
way my cousin Adrian had to do standup
comedy went to a course the standup
comedy course what did you learn I tell
you something I I can't remember
everything but there's one thing does
stand stand out in the stand up see
stand up and what they made you do was
tell jokes to the crowd the other you
know students and then they would stop
laughing and they would say now you die
you have to fall on the floor dead I
pretend obviously what was the idea that
you're going to die eventually all
communs have to get used to failing on
stage so then just pay to tell jokes
they prepared you to fail on stage I
will say that that course was like an
eight part course really got into my had
the importance of speakers the best
speakers which is what I do a lot of are
comedians because if you don't hear what
they're
saying no one's going to laugh so a lot
of my um speaking techniques actually
gain from watching comedians which I
love you know as well but watching stand
up and learning from them how to speak
eloquently and clearly so that people
can hear the punch line so they can
laugh at your jokes yeah but I don't
know if you know this Michael but shuis
at night you know does an art form to
keeping people up and keeping people
awake so in our Shool lots of schs do
this I don't think it's Unique to us
they bring in different speakers to come
and entertain the crowd right so our
scho we have a lineup usually of four or
five people and Rabbi Lawrence hasof is
one of the people that comes and speaks
in our SCH I met him him like two or
three years ago I don't remember which
year we started this but it was the
first time I met him and I'll never
forget I remember that night I was
struggling to stay up man I was really
struggling this was everybody around me
you know everybody's dozing off slowly
you know we're losing people as the
hours go on and then this guy comes and
he shows up and he was I think the final
speaker before the rabbi the rabbi
speaks at the very end but he was the
final speaker so it was very late into
the night it was like 3:00 a.m. or
something and he comes and he speaks
within like 60 seconds everybody was
alert everybody was tuned in it it was
clear that this was going to be a little
different this was going to be fresh and
you're talking about comedy and I think
what you did well and what you really
made you stand out from everybody else
was that you weren't just giving a
speech you were coming with character
you came with personality and you were
an Entertainer and I think good speakers
that's what they do they entertain a
crowd they Infuse a little bit of Comedy
a little bit of emotions right there has
to be a lot of that try to call it I try
to call it edutainment that's my thing
education content and entertainment
because there's a lot of alternatives to
listen to rabbis whether online
Instagram YouTube or live so if you're
not entertaining people they'll go
somewhere else yeah everyone who's a
speaker today including you guys in your
podcast they got to entertain no one
wants to have a boring experience when
it comes to their precious time and
their own personal entertainment yeah
people want to have fun listen people
you know life is not always you know fun
not always entertaining sometimes people
get sad people are depressed people are
down we need more humor we need people
to laugh more and to say more joke not
take life so seriously you know this is
really a key element to people just
being happier is take life so seriously
you know make a joke or two don't take
yourself too seriously and I think
people who do that well I think they're
just happier in general can I just um
you started off talking about how you
know I got involved in the when you were
selecting the name of your podcast but
you didn't mention how I first met you
so I want to tell your viewers how I
first met you oh boy because this is
always interesting anybody that met
Michael there's always a story behind
always a story there's always a story so
let's hear this so this story is a good
one because we um were living in a
certain neighborhood uh in Mony and then
I got a call saying that were erecting a
new neighborhood um that was coming and
uh my wife and I were looking for a you
know had a growing family and they said
you can try to get into this
neighborhood but there's a gatekeeper a
guy you need to speak to really and this
guy is going to interview you and he's
going to decide whether you are right
you and your family right for this
neighborhood I was very nervous and had
an interview to live in a neighborhood
big deal no it's a crazy is that normal
crazy I don't think it is like you have
to meet people prior to moving into a
neighborhood fit and to be approved to
be approved really so I call it what's
the name of the guy who is your my
contact person over there to have this
interview process his name is k
Greenfield and the house next door to
him is the house that's V and so I had
the interview and I obviously came with
my shirt and my tie in those days I used
to wear a tie now I don't I turn up and
the front door opens and there's this
guy wearing you know shorts and like a
wife beat up and he come in I'm like
what this this is it this guy's going to
vet and I'm still upset to this day that
this guy vetted me and my family no
doesn't order you think you're upset how
do you think I feel when we decided that
the back of your house should be facing
me and you ended up designing your
entire house and you turned and you made
a 180 and now your entire front of your
house faces my house true and you made
that decision all on your own I didn't
even approve that how did you even come
to be in this position that you were
chosen to I was very lucky to uh there
was a property that was owned by someone
uh named quki who owns a lot of property
in the Rockland County area and he had
property and he was he wasn't doing
anything and I I kept coming to him and
I said what are you doing with your
property you have to start developing
and doing something my property is like
wine the older it gets the more valuable
it gets and I said I said you're
actually right but you got to do
something at some point and it was
impossible to speak to him so I did what
any good person in the real estate world
would do and I went to his dad and I
made a deal with his dad and I brought
in an investor and we bought 24
properties as a collective and part of
buying the properties was we're going to
make this an entire community so even
though the properties were smaller we
made a decision that having smaller
properties but having it in one culdesac
type of area where all the kids can play
and everyone can enjoy themselves is
more beneficial so I had the ability I
don't know about the right but I had the
ability to be a little bit selective on
who's coming into the community I want
to know did you uh decline anybody was
there anybody that you actually said nah
this is not for you so R Lawrence tell
me a little bit more about yourself
exactly by the way Michael I have to say
this sounds very like it's not your type
you're not that snob material I'm very
much judging other people you're good
enough you're not good enough like it
wasn't about judging it's like not for
you you were the wrong person when you
build a community you want to make sure
the person's coming in is going to fit
in the I hear it it upsets me the heels
of selecta but I do hear it I mean a
nonsquare person doesn't want to live in
square right right it's the same idea
you don't want to live in community you
don't want to but you do want to have a
certain type of community that has some
sort of fit I mean it was just a matter
of making sure by the way it is a really
nice we did a really nice job we asked
people to get 5% down and zero more
money until the house is built so we
very you Michael very disappoint okay it
ended up being because you know you're
thepe years later and we're doing okay
as neighbors I know you I know you very
well and you you're open to anybody
you're one of those people that you can
get along with literally anyone
absolutely and to build a community by
saying this person is good enough that
person is not that's not how you build a
community right that's actually the an
the the antithesis of a community I want
to point out something I totally
disagree he knows a lot of people that
is true but I'll tell you something
about him because I know him very well
at this point he has many equ inces but
he has very few friends he's very
selective he's friendly to a lot of
people he walk around Supermarket we're
on the pickleball court this morning can
I mention
that really great wait a second great
game where was my inv obsessed with this
game everyone knows Robie Lawrence has
actually been my coach in pickle bow
he's been my coach in a few things
before I went publicly speaking he
actually taught me the art of using your
hands are you any good when you speak
and then in playing pickle ball he
thought that he was one of the best
tennis players and it can be an ADV
advantage to playing pickle ball and
being that no one could beat him at
tennis he was like hey let me be the
pickle ball Master Al I got I got old
and two tight for I play tennis still
but I enjoy pickle B so I'm playing with
K but my point is K gets on the court
and there's like two ladies on the court
before us and he gets on that and he
start musing so he'll I mean they think
he's his best friend you I'm saying
that's the way he is but those not
friends they're acquaintances it's a big
difference I don't actually agree with
you I think that all of those people
become my friends it's just that they're
not in my close Circle simply because
they don't have that time or we don't
have have that ability well if there's
two ladies in your close CLE hanging out
I actually I actually don't agree with
you shopping with I think that anybody
that comes into my circle is accessible
to me 24/7 and you can consider yourself
my friend that's not a real friend
though it doesn't I didn't say it's a
real friend but to me an acquaintance is
somebody you walk by and you give that
nod to you know that nod when you see
someone but you're not sure who they are
but they're not sure who you are and
you're both not sure each other you're
like how's your summer I have these scho
full of people that who get the nod from
me and nothing else like the raised
eyebrow yeah that that nod so that's an
acquaintance anything beyond that to me
is a friend and of course there are real
close friends who I feel like they're
you know K is good at pick
aable I'm just letting you know he's got
good hand and by the way just so you
know there's a great video that's kind
of being viral I'm doctors speaking the
best way to keep off dementia is any
form of Racket sport whether it's pick
ball or ret ball or tennis 100% best
thing why is that fight of I like a
doctor to you actually maybe I do take
that back I mean there got to be some
little something about since you're
coordination perhaps you're like
navigating the ball and stuff with a
racket it's kind of like works both side
of your brain and it's and it um I'd
like to learn more about this actually
that's very interesting yeah yeah yeah
because you can now make this into a
medical you know condition say listen I
have early signs of dementia I need to
play pickle ball more often there always
an angle for always an angle my employer
can't say know right exactly it's for
health Reon I have to go play pickle for
health reasons I have to play pickle bow
three times a week I have to tell you
that four years ago I was in Venice
Beach in California and I saw them
knocking down basketball courts this is
a true story guys and I was like I went
to the maintenance guys that were doing
all this work I said what are you guys
doing and one of the guys said we're
putting up something called pickle ball
courts and I said Pickle what yeah
pickle ball courts I said what's a
pickle ball court and I went in and I
investigated what is a pickle ball what
what's the game all about and I realized
that someone started national league for
pickle bow and at that time none of the
celebrities had teams at that point and
I went to my close friends and I said
guys maybe we should invest in pickle
bow and we should create a team and they
laughed at me and three weeks later it
was the announcements of all the
superstars that had the join Asam ex
exactly so it is a fun sport it's fun to
it's not so much fun to watch though on
television to be honest with you no it's
actually terrible to watch CU they're
all standing close and just knocking it
out it's more fun to play sometimes it's
fun to watch a sport versus playing it
but this is
if anybody's hearing it for the first
time go out and learn to play pickle
ball with your kids with your spouses
with your significant other it's a fun
game that everyone can play it's just
like driving a Tesla it's great being
the driver but not being a passenger is
not so good some things you got to
actually do in order to enjoy it right
they with pick ball they got to play it
watching it it's a little bit boring I'm
not into Teslas I know you got a Tesla
and you're into that oh I love it you
know there are materialistic things that
I believe that you're into one of them
is the Tesla that is true and the other
one is I've heard a rumor that you're
known as the Rolex rabbi it's a little
underground but I do as uh sort as a
hobby but I do buy and sell uh high-end
watches specifically Rolexes that is
true wow tell us about your collection
you're like a Rolex broker no no Rolex
Rabbi no but he's saying he buys himself
he part of my Persona I started a an
Instagram Channel as well I have a few
of them one of them is actually called
Rolex Rabbi so I did use that um but I
don't uh that's fantastic I want to hear
about your collection though I about my
what like what's your what's your books
I'm teaching you want Ro that's what you
want to hear and you want to hear about
his Rolex yes what's your priz
possession Rolex that's what I want to
know my price well anything I have is
purely going to be sold anyway so price
that's fine but I do I mean I always
love as a kid I love Watchers I always
had a thing for Watchers that was my
thing tell you I had a thing for watch
you and millions of other people you're
not the only one I didn't realize that
but yeah a big it's a bit of a disease
that's definitely spread so I was had a
thing and then I was introduced to this
particular brand I had a friend was
dealing with it and I picked up one
which was a Daytona and I just like it
what else do we have men specifically I
don't wear Jewel you know necklace or
Rings or whatever what do we have that
kind of like is the close we have to
jewelry that we can have that we can
enjoy but it's a living thing that
someone's made it spend time on it
really that's part of it I enjoy the
fact that there's like history to it and
it's um it's a genius piece of mechanism
which like goes itself there's no
battery think about that it's automatic
it's an amazing thing so we have nothing
like that when I see someone walk into a
room I noticed their watch first do you
know the number like ziv the watch I'm
not so good at that I'm not so good at
that I mean know some of them I I I
don't like people who wear and I'm going
to offend some of your viewers Apple
watches I just I actually own one but I
never wear it I what about Swatch I hav
I grew up with Swatch watches and I did
wait in line with my son for like three
hours to get the moon swatches which is
fun you know you go inside that swatches
is a great brand doesn't have to be
expensive right I I have a thing for
watches so swatches was something I was
very into actually I went to London
recently and I picked up a hope of my
parents that had like old ones they used
to keep and gave it to my son and if you
go to any Swatch store for free they
change the battery you can have a Swatch
watch from 30 years ago 40 years ago
they will change the battery for you and
make sure it's working fine okay very
cool you know I'm curious are you on any
lists around the world where you are
scheduled to get the next Rox so how
does that bunch of them how does that
work I was expecting give us the secrets
the secret is like anything in life
relationships you build a relationship
with people and that's what I did I
build relationships one of the best ones
actually I did was in the airport
airport people will fly into at Heathrow
in London in Terminal 2 or B whatever
it's called there's a Rolex store and I
built a relationship with the people
over there I'm on a WhatsApp group with
them and in order to get to that store
you have to be flying so that because
you can't just access it from the street
so in that particular store you can get
lucky and uh there's people literally
fly in pick up their watch and get back
on the plane and don't even leave the
airport there are many people that do
that many people for you know H and
watch people like big buyers and sellers
so this particular airport I I have a
greatship and I picked up a couple of
watches from me you know is it weird
that I'm utterly bored with a watch
conversation and it's no disrespect to
the two of you you you go to a room with
10 people I think maybe seven or eight
people would be very interested in
Watchers and but for the other two
people it's so cringeworthy because like
I hate Watchers I hate everything about
it wearing one yeah like I have my cell
phone I need to know the time I look at
my phone like that's what a watch means
to me and like I don't see the obsession
I don't get I don't understand it and I
actually have a little bit of animosity
to people who have such an obsession
with watches because there's got to be
more to life there's got to be so many
more interesting things we could talk
about than Watchers but watching the two
of you your eyes light up people get
animated when you're talking about very
animated about watches it's absurd
though like it's it's just a watch say
though in business in business I mean
I'm not in business you know but in
business people tell me they use Sports
to make conversations and
relationships watches are better you can
get into a conversation with someone
build a relationship with someone based
upon watches really 100 how long can you
carry conversations with some watch an
opener an opener y like an icebreaker
you go you go online on YouTube there
are people you just mentioned one of
them who literally make their entire
living just making watch videos actually
people make makeup videos make all
living that's irrelevant people are very
very into this thing I'm not so into it
it's a hobby and a interest and it makes
me a little bit of extra money so it
keeps me you know afloat um but I do
love them interesting all right yeah I
know there's a lot of people that are
very into this topic and this is like a
the same can be said about so many
things the reason I think why Watchers
work so well is because whatt Lawrence
was saying a minute ago is it complement
what you're wearing it's a talking piece
it's a Time piece and it's a living
thing that's on you that's not working
on a battery especially there's a lot to
be said about a watch I completely
disagree with you but I understand where
you're coming from people that are
already into Watchers it's more of a
status thing it's okay we can move on to
stat it is that too that's everything
statist yeah look at me with my $50,000
watch I'm sorry to say but this is not
my swatch is definitely nothing but a
just colorful nice it's more than that
to you because I know every time you fly
you pick up another watch to remember
your trip yes but it's not a stat my
point it's part of my lifestyle yes a
memory I I think that's a little nerdy
honestly time it doesn't tell you the
time but it reminds you of a good time
exactly thank you say that again to the
camera I'll say that again to the camera
your Swatch doesn't tell you the time
but it reminds you of a special time
that you had in your life yes I think
that watches can do that for you just
like other articles of clothing perhaps
can do it for you as well you may not
resonate with it but I think a lot of
people I mean that's why I have a wife
reminds me of my wedding that's why the
only reason
I my wife always asks me like you know
when we go to weddings she always
without fail turns to me and says oh do
you remember our wedding and like no I
don't I really don't like my wedding was
a blur the whole night were you drunk
cuz I I I I was a little bit I'll be
honest I was a little bit I wasn't drunk
but I I drank that night but that's not
why I don't remember it I was just like
in a different world I didn't know what
was really going on and it just happened
so quickly you were also young I wasn't
young I wasn't young at all I was I was
27 Oh I was 27 too that's not bad
actually that's quite old a perfect age
by the way I think that's a perfect age
it's not too young I was like more
financially stable by the time I got
married like I had a job I had a career
path already at that point a perfect age
for what type of person though you
saying for not a regular mainstream I'm
talking about a regular guy not talking
about somebody for religious well for
religious people let's be honest it's
more challenged to get married older
talk about the men the women will leave
aside right because there's you know a
clock they're working with but for a man
difficult right because religious boys
show me the gear right they're careful
what they supposed to look at and what
they do so for a religious person
getting married 20 seven is um little
bit later interesting point interesting
point I don't know if we're going to get
into those details you know it's not
none of your business as they however
however I totally totally understand
what you're saying I get it uh by the
way you are like the marriage expert
you've written books on this stuff right
well I wrote a book I I wrote a few
books thanks for mentioning it
amazon.com um so the first book I wrote
was called J got questions because when
I was growing up there's a book called
The je book of why I don't know it was
like one of the few English books
actually written by a conserva do Rabbi
um and it was PR pretty good for the
most part 90% of it was very good so I
approached felt time and I said I want
to write a book so what's needed most
people say oh I have this topic I write
this book I'm like no what's needed in
the market so this is going back like 10
years and they said an updated version
of that the Jewish book of why short
answers like Ed answers to every
question in Judaism so I was like well
I've been doing this for a long time so
you know I'll write the book so I wrote
the book didn't take me that long
because you know answered this question
many times um the editing takes time and
then from that book we have you know
topics on relationships and astrology
you know and all this kind of stuff age
of the universe and all the kind of
stuff now everyone does them so what
happened was from that I found most
people interested in the relationship
questions so what I did was I said ah
let me write another book which um my
good friend Ellie bloomstein who the
owner of twiller he actually was working
with me founded that he's a marketing
genius by the way and really the most
awesome guy in the world so he is he the
guy with the weird no no he's part of
the thank you hasem movement oh yeah he
actually created that as well by I'll
tell you a little secret say I probably
shouldn't say it but I happen to know
this fact I'm making trouble for saying
this you know the thank you Hashem a
symbol is a crown with t YH on a Crown
do you know you got that from he told me
this because I was there when he thought
it up there was a rapper called Biggie
or Biggy Smalls or something and that
was his symbol and he took it from
that's pretty awesome is that right yeah
Biggy Smalls had a crown on his album
yes and he chose and using that Crown to
turn that into a beautiful spiritual I
hope he doesn't mind me I apologize
profusely the guy is a marketing genius
and he so he thought up du got questions
and then he said you know this book I
said he said should be called will you
marry me love it which is cool so I mean
you could do a lot of uh you know plays
on that word you we'll Drew this you
drew that I mean it's easy but the third
book was a Mach do me a favor do me a
favor that's the next book we could go
on all day yes
so the third book was on mashiah so I
went to the publisher and I said so so
you up to the third Booker what was the
first two again so will marry me first
one was you got questions relationship
said relationships because that most
questions in emails how did you get to
Messiah though ah so now I was teaching
a course of messia and I was getting a
lot of questions that was the next level
of Interest like my YouTube videos they
actually follow the the top ones are
actually Hebrew reading is probably the
top one have a few of those but then
following that it's Messiah gets the
most views mostly from the Christian
world right not ironically and then
comes the relationship stuff so I can
tell for the amount of views on what's
the most popular thing so then I wrote
this book called mashiah and I set the
publisher I want to call it jup
apocalypse like an apocalypse like jup
apocalypse and they were like you're an
idiot so they change it to the Future so
that was my third book that the future
is kind of a boring title I if we can
redo it I think J yeah I like at this
point I need once I Mar with my kids
I'll have more like you wait to do what
the heck a lot more books coming out lot
more books coming out so you wrote three
books I wrote three books yeah which was
your favorite one which was your best
one you think one in terms of one in
terms of the impact that you wrote not
one that you personally like that you
think will the one that I happens to be
the one that didn't sell the most but
the will you marry and the relationship
one happens to be the best book in my
opinion and the book is the book is
about like just Rel dating it goes
through it goes from dating I mean now
it's common back then it wasn't so
common from the dating the idea of love
and relationships dating to marri
teaches you how to you know actually get
married what's involved in it what's
because I've done about 150 weddings
I've performed over the years wow so I
wrote a whole chapter just on what's
involved why kba why you know and all
that kind of stuff you know and then it
finishes off with the first year of
marriage and I I started each chapter uh
interviewing couples most of whom I
actually married asking them what makes
a relationship so good so important I
spoke to a bunch of single people as
well you know so asking them what
they're looking for it's actually the
the interview at the beginning like the
short question what are you looking for
in a partner it's actually very
interesting that's probably the best
part of the whole chapter just getting
their information and feed this book
what's the common answer there is no
common answer everyone's different
um what do you like the best which
answers did you like the
best what are you looking for that
reated well has a lot but the ones that
resonated with me the most that
successful relationships with people
that said what I love about my spouse is
that they always listen to me just
stayed in play I don't know why I
mentioned that they listen to me and
they respect that was like the um and I
think relationship most important thing
for sexual marriage and a successful
marriage is really people you got to
respect your spouse you know interesting
you know on the topic of weddings I
don't know if you guys feel the same
about this I happen to be bored at
weddings I feel like it's the same thing
over you w b your wedding were you no no
my wedding I don't remember remember I
don't remember it but I I attend
weddings I attended one last week I I
find the whole thing to be now that I've
attended so many a cliche like a little
kind of Bor
like it's very procedural you know you
do Thea in the beginning then they have
the meal then the first dance like I
don't know like I attended I don't want
to God forbid you know compare a Jewish
wedding to a non-jewish wedding but I
only went to a non-jewish wedding once
in my life I went to a non-jewish
wedding not yours
just some be clear yes to be very clear
it was not mine um and when I went to
this this wedding I have to tell you it
was quite entertaining it was a party
yeah it was a party and everybody was
having a good time I feel like at the
Jewish weddings it's very serious and I
get it it's a holy matrimony and it's a
big deal but I think we got to like you
know get rid of times a little bit
perhaps wish I'm telling you something
very important I do weddings I've done
many and most people I marry are not
religious people because they also want
a Jewish wedding with a Jewish ceremony
so I've done all different types of Jews
but mostly secular Jews I make my
weddings that I perform extremely
entertaining I make I tell little
vignettes little 30C pie why right why
are we using one I actually turn it into
an educational informative experience I
make jokes I did a wedding of a couple
he was actually Italian she was actually
printed out right from online a whole
speech in Italian and I did the whole
speech in Italian so his family like
whoa very good Senor not Sor right very
goodin fantastic you know so I made it
very very fun so I actually do weddings
like that and I have to agree with you I
think you go to religious weddings they
huddle the Raab doesn't talk you know
what they're saying you barely hit the
BR it's not it's not not enjoyable but
when I do it's very traditional I can
appreciate it I make the bride and groom
which I always do except once they
wouldn't do it I always make them face
the audience you can see their reaction
because they want to see theala don't
they always face the no not always some
have their back towards them sometimes
they're surrounded by people who can't
see them safam for example face the
right what not every single by the they
don't face the audience to have their
back towards the audience and the rabbis
face
yakis additionally do not F there you go
they F yeah many people yakis are very
special breeds very special people so we
not going to you know go by what yakis
do but in general like regular people
you know we Face the crowd that's how by
Byer people regular also face the crowd
as well I meet the hakala face at an
angle and I face the crowd so they see
me so the people don't want to see they
want to see expression I do have to tell
you you know I bet that non-jewish
people say the same thing I've been to
one wedding what am I going to do go
back back to the bar back to dancing the
same thing over and over again you're
very wrong non-jewish people look
forward to weddings I'm sure I've spoken
to many friends that are non-jewish and
they always when it comes to a wedding
it's party time everybody's excited they
can't wait for the next one but what
they don't have what they don't have in
my opinion is the spiritual component of
a wedding which you have at Jewish
wedding so I think that from now on when
you go to a wedding just try to find the
spiritual part of it go to the HOA
thinking that this is a very special
serious moment where you can dove in for
someone you can pray for someone you can
use that as a moment and I agree with
you by the way it's very repetitive
these weddings that's why I try to come
for certain times I also like to go to
the the room of the groom and the bride
you know and try to eat from them
because sometimes the food takes forever
to come out you know so if don't worry
you go into the their food oh yeah
before them no no no of course no no
after them they don't even touch the
food I don't know what they do in there
but they definitely don't touch the food
because my wife was eating in really
really you ate the did you have a
special meal at your uh in the yeah in
your yeah did you have we had food
prepared for us I don't think I ate but
we I'm just goingon to say when I go to
a wedding I enjoy the music oh you're
into music I enjoy the spirituality of
the I really believe it's it's very
meaningful at a time to pray I I enjoy
the seeing of the grandparents and the
enjoyment that they have I actually pay
attention to it so when I go those are
the things that I one funny wedding I've
done many many weddings I'm lost count
at this point but I have all documented
at home I did it one of the first
weddings I did and uh performing a
wedding when I do them it's because I'm
doing everything I don't have you know
one person helping call out names and
stuff I got sheets of paper and when I
first started there's a lot going on you
got the cup to break you got the Tet
because I all this kind of stuff so it
was one of the first weddings I ever did
of a young guy and got actually met on
one of my
trips I had a premonition which I've
never had before and I've never had
since but while she was walking down to
Thea I had a premonition that she was
going to faint under the it was the
weirdest thing so much so that when she
arrived under Thea I actually said to
are you okay you feeling yeah I feel
fine so she's doing the March around and
I'm welcoming everyone while she's doing
it because I speak during the process
there's music playing but I speak I
explain she's marching around she's
surrounding her husband to goes through
and I kind of put out of my mind because
if you keep thinking of it you freak out
and I'm I was very inexperienced and I
didn't know what was going on during the
I it was very hot under the I do
remember that from behind me while I'm
in the middle of like speaking I
hear and her mother
F under the hoer and I just managed to
catch her as she hits the floor this is
on video by the way I managed to catch
her she hit the floor and I turn to the
audience and I'm like is there a doctor
here not one doctor at a Jewish wedding
can you believe it that's a crime that
lawyers yeah accountants plenty not one
doctor and then one go puts her hand and
says I'm a dental nurse like her teeth
are fine she's faed
then we get a chair that is surprising
no doctors that a surprising what a
chance so we bring a chair we sit her
down so the husand start getting
frustrated he starts slapping her it was
like a whole this one video it sounds
like a comedy sketch it literally was a
comedy sketch and I'm like I don't know
to do but you got to keep going The Show
Must so I turned around to the girl I
said what should I do and she looked at
me she was like get on with
it Cola in her dress that is funny I
finish it off and uh that was it she
actually had got drunk the bride's
mother got drunk beforehand and oh
that's what it was oh that's
embarrassing you you didn't happen to
have drinks with her beforehand having
that coming you know speaking of which I
know that you believe very much in
dreams and I and I know this is
something that you take seriously very
seriously I'd like I'd like to ask you
about that wow I'm surprised you asked
me that I from the questions I get asked
probably the most questions I get asked
because I'm a lot of WhatsApp groups
where they ask questions and stuff and
calls and stuff the biggest thing is m
in the end of days that's most questions
I get from people which we'll discuss
soon but people ask me about dreams all
the time so much so I'm not kidding you
next to my bed on my bedside table I
have books that I'm reading at at any
given moment and I have an amazing book
on dreams which I have next to me like
this one is I was recommended by Rabbi
tats many years ago he said this is one
of the best ones so I actually referred
to that and it's helped me
like understand dreams a lot more and I
put a chapter about dreams in my first
book and that gets a a lot of comments
well people are very interested in it
and I get questions literally every day
from people I had a dream that I was
flying I had a dream my teeth fell out
what does that mean um I dream about my
grandmother I personally have a lot of
you know such dreams about my my wife
never dreams about her her deceased
grandparents but uh I have been visited
what whatever that means in Dreams by
them
um animals seeing people um wow yeah
it's I don't don't remember my dreams I
don't remember no ever you never had a
dream that very rarely maybe on occasion
I'll remember a dream for a few minutes
and only parts of it but for the most
part no I don't remember my dreams when
you wake up you don't and by the way if
I do remember my dream I think nothing
of it I move on it was just a dream and
I you never had a dream where you've
woken up in the morning or she and
you're like wow you never had that
before in your life very rarely and I
don't think I'm alone on this I think
most people don't remember their dreams
I don't know I mean I I have a I have
dreams that I remember not a lot but I
have many dreams and then you have
questions you have follow-ups on your
dream I mean some of them were
nerve-wracking like oh my God I can't
believe I just dreamt about that some of
them are like odd like how was I in
Italy and then I was in Brooklyn like
you know like not too far because a lot
of Italians in Brooklyn that's true but
I'm saying there are some uh yeah you
have you dreamt about your both your
parents have passed on I your mother
very well have they visit you in a dream
ever not as much as I'd like to have
they but it's happened more than once
yes but that's just the manifestation of
your own subconscious that's not a real
thing you know you could be that you're
questioning do you believe that your
mother or father or somebody you know
deceased actually visited you me person
yeah you believe that it was actually
them I do believe that and they came and
sent a message you and they were really
talking to you well they never they were
a real part of need to speak to you but
they appear to me in a dream I get very
emotional yeah and now I've heard many
stories of many people have had
information that's been related to them
in dreams especially get ready for this
spodic women when a spodic woman calls
me up or writes me and says I had a
dream about something or someone I
listen I take it very seriously really
give us an example what do you what do
like some girl told me she came to sit
with me and my wife and she had a dream
that her grandfather had told her
something in a dream and she basically
investigated way and end up becoming
very very true and she was able to relay
some information to someone else that I
think you could say saved their life
based upon what she heard from her
grandfather someone else in her family
that she' never spoken to for a long
time this is common you'll be surprised
how many you look common
the amount of questions I get must be I
read this in story books I read this I
there's a there's a gamar the gamar
speaks about it there's a I believe in
the power of dreams I definitely do
believe I don't believe today it means
as much as it used to or uh would you
say meaning it's hard to relate to what
it means I don't believe that we have
people that can have the power to
translate a dream like they used to I um
I had a dream so the gamar speaks by if
you dream about having a a sing a snake
in your dream you would have thought
it's a bad sign it's a very good sign
and you're going to make money if you
dream that the snake bites you now that
is even better it means you're going to
make a lot of money but if you dream
that you kill the snake in your dream
that's already bad it means you're lose
your money it's a whole gamar on this in
in in so I have many people ask these
questions I actually dreamt that I
killed the snake in my dream I so many
people don't kill the snake whatever you
do don't kill the snake in your dream
and I dream that I kill the snake and
soon after I actually lost a lot of
money it's actually Terri wow and it was
the money loss was out of my control
like totally out of my control it was a
company that something had happened to
it which happened to invest a little bit
of in look I can't prove it to you but I
do know that many people take it very
seriously and ask me a lot of questions
about stuff they see their dreams
animals my great uncle was writing a
book with his uh dad and his dad passed
away and they couldn't finish the book
and he was praying all year for to to
get the answer to the finish up the book
and sure enough his father came to him
in a dream and he finished the book in
through the dream and every everything
was recorded and then it was brought to
some very very significant High holy
rabbis in Israel who confirmed that what
he had given over was accurate wow and
it was very interesting documented and
I'm sure a lot of these dreams are
documented yesi we believe in the power
of dreams now not all dreams some dreams
are just your mind kind of process you
saw during the day like I dream about
something but that day I saw a movie and
that thing was in it then I take it then
it's almost right paging RAB hedof and
Michael back to Earth um the two of you
and now that we're sitting here by the
way this is real what's happening right
now this is ask how do you know this is
real second I had a dream last night and
I was convinced that was real so how can
you tell me that this is real maybe this
is a dream too maybe all of life maybe
that's why God created dreams so that we
could turn around and be like well how
do we know this is
real have you ever watched the movie
called Inception I have seen the movie
you have seen the movie AB okay it's a
totally about this by the way that's
exactly what it's about is you know what
is real like if dreams aren't real you
know while you're having the dream you
convinced that's real so how do you know
this is real and then you could go from
one dream into the next dream and into
the next dream and it's endless right so
you never really know look you're right
I don't know what's really real what's
not real but I'm going to choose to I
got to believe something is real I got
to believe in something this to me is
real the rest of the stuff which I want
to talk about you know the main topic of
the day which is Messiah I don't want to
say that I don't believe in mashiach
because I'd be a pretty bad person and a
bad Jew if I said that and I'm on an ear
so I don't want everybody to hear that
and take oh she doesn't believe in
mashiach I want to talk about the
regular person the average person um the
person who's flawed and needs to you
know improve on themselves and needs to
always strive to believe more and to
believe better because I want to believe
I deeply deeply want to believe I think
uh everything would be better if I can
believe more but I have a struggle not
necessarily to believe but to understand
and to
comprehend what this whole topic of
mssiah really means because in my mind I
think okay my small mind I think that it
could be very metaphoric in a way that
there's an end that's coming and we
labeled it as Messiah and the end could
be different for a lot of people doesn't
have to be the same thing but I really
also don't think everybody knows I think
that everybody has a lot of opinions on
this if you ask one person and the next
person you get two different stories and
everybody and real people important
people very you know important rabbis
that you know they give their version
and somebody else goes their version but
I would say that the average person you
would pull truly deep down doesn't
understand what's going on with Mah it's
a fascinating topic I would love to
believe in it because how do you live a
life without actually believing in an
end I me how do you the path is so much
more difficult if you don't know where
you're Landing right right so I would
love to believe it would make me no more
happier to believe in Messiah than
anything else so for me I'd love to hear
more about this you we we were part by
the way our company was part sponsor in
a movie a documentary that barl Solomon
just came which I did not want to be a
part of okay that's fine remember we did
it though I know I know but I I walked
away because I to me this doesn't
resonate with me this topic I'm sorry to
admit this I'm a little bit thises but I
believe in that I believe deep down to
this concept but I don't understand it
and I don't and I think other people who
pretend like they understand it I think
they're just giving themselves something
that makes them feel better it's fine
well my point was to watch the
documentary read the books the future
and others and study it meaning this
topic is a very excited we went we went
we went together because I was actually
in the movie you went you in the movie
in the movie yeah he was in the he was
he was one of the people that was asked
the question what is Michelle long spoke
to the guy for an hour and a half he put
like two and a half minutes in see next
to each other the movie I'd love to hear
how you will address what is saying I
just want to say before you say anything
that you know the Messiah concept is
spoken about daily by the group called
kabad right so they made famous they
they glorified this whole sure they
glorified and maybe maybe watered down a
little bit I was about to say but it
could be also they tainted it for others
in a way that don't understand it
because if you walk if you drive down
the Westside Highway and you see a sign
that says msia is here and you look
around what he's not actually here so
you're like what's this whole mashiah
thing and I get where your struggle
coming from but I do want to say that
the struggle is real it's very I I
actually applaud the fact that you're
talking about it and you're questioning
it because I do want to tell you that
ultimately it is a belief system that we
have but the belief goes back to
writings and teachings that we have for
thousands of years and I'll kick it off
to my uh I say this but let's just
crunch it down first of all you're
saying I'm going to validate it you're
right I grew up going to very AAS they
don't talk about this stuff they don't
make it part of the limit thing they'll
finish Torah and
right we'll have you know
B like you know that was the end of it
you know we children we're not so
interested um leaving aside kabad kabad
introduced it because laab REI sort it
was missing so he made it one of the
fundamental um influences we need to put
into our lives I actually use the every
shop it's a beautiful one actually um
and you have to plug that more I'm sorry
that is my favorite Kish and it helps me
get every single shot there is a brown
well-known and now they have a version
in blue and it's written by kabad and
they take the story of thees of the
Torah and they write it and they have in
bold the words that are being told in
the Torah but not in bold they have the
story line right they interpolate which
means while you're reading the English
it's not just English translation it's
also a description explanation what say
a lot more read every chabas when when
I'm listening to the Torah instead of
listening it and reading it the Hebrew
words I'm following along with either a
brown or a blue Kish given and created
by kabad kudos to them and I really
really believe everyone should have a so
leaving that aside for just a second
there is an idea which is Central to
Judaism but is a belief it's a belief
because hasn't happened yet okay
although those who follow my staff will
know that we are seeing very clear signs
without a shadow of a doubt that we're
in the cusp right we're in the
transition phage phase from before mhia
to after mhia but they not just Jews
right the goam the Christians and even
the Muslims are very into this topic
actually if you want to understand
what's happening in the Middle East
today you need to understand Iran CU
they're funding all their proxies Hamas
hisbah and the houis in order to attack
us and they are actually an islamist
Jihadi Messianic death cult so they also
I know it sounds crazy but they are also
into this topic obviously they're
getting it wrong so what's the Jewish
view so there's two ways to just
download this topic very quickly into
your brain and that is the view of the
rambam and those who follow him and
that's more rationalistic which is
there's to be a time when the Jewish
people are going to be able to return to
the land of Israel and this is from the
prophets there's a lot written on
Messiah there's very little written on
Resurrection of the dead that's another
topic which is going to follow Messiah
but Mah there's a lot written on it
there's tons written on it right you
have prophets you have garas right
everyone writes about so the ram
basically says the world's going to
carry on as
is and the Jewish people going to return
to Israel which we've been seeing for
the past 50 60 years and even more and
we're going to be living safely in all
land with no more war which is tough to
see but right right now and we're going
to be at peace and royalty is going to
return mhia is a king actually Messiah
doesn't mean savior ask most Jewish
people even religious one what does
messiah mean he's a savior it's not what
he is mhia means to anoint which is to
pour something on something else to make
it special the prophet would do he would
take oil olive oil put it into a horn
and he would pour it into the shap of a
crown on the head of the Future King
it's like sh Samuel did to DAV and that
made him into king that's what it means
the anointed one the special the word
mhia doesn't even refer specifically to
mhia as we understand it right there
called Mah there's a mhia right so
there's many different job it means a
position of great leadership so we're
going to have a great leader by the way
you
already kind of made me feel a little
bit better like I'm you know you trying
to download into my brain just by that
just by that alone I'm 1% feeling better
because going I thought really means
that's really what I thought I thought
mashiach is like a savior who's going to
come and he magic wand and he going to
change the whole world and everything's
going to be upended and you're saying no
no things are going to be regular and
it's going to be an anointed king it's
going to be someone who's going to come
and it's going to be a leader correct
more realistic he's more realistic it's
sounding much more down to earth and by
the way the ramam describes it that way
and I'm pleased you're being very honest
which I I appreciate most people have
this idea but the idea we have of
Messiah unfortunately comes from
Christianity right there's some super
being who's like God or in their case is
God okay not at all he's going be a
normal man Flesh and Blood challenges
he's going to be selected as the king of
the Jewish people we're going to return
to Israel and the third and final Temple
is going to be built on harabas on
Temple mount in J and the Jewish people
are going to return and we're all going
to live there it's going to take a long
time for that all of us every Jew is
going to move back to there is even a
some say no some say it will take a long
time and just think about taking I mean
by the way we have half the Jewish
people Liv in Israel right now we're
just under the halfway mark L is ready
bangur is not big enough there's going
to be some expansion but uh we're ready
we're ready it's a process it takes time
I know we're told as soon as you wake up
and B and everything's GNA be great it's
not true you see but that's what they
did they really dumbed it down to a
point of it's like a fairy tale they put
it into a little children's story book
and that's the version they gave us and
that's what we have to believe and no I
choose not to believe in that because
now I'm older and it sounds like a fairy
tale but you're now actually taking it
down to a you know really explaining it
and the first thing you said I'm already
liking it so I'd like to hear more Okay
so we've seen more for the past 70 years
and more from the first alot and then
early 1900s first and second alot all
the way when Zionism was founded and
we're seeing this movement of Jewish
people living in the land of Israel
right in order to come close to God and
to have a better life over there Rashi
tells us based upon the words of DAV
that when you see
is packed with Jews
B right when you see is built up the
Jewish people are going to return When
you see is so full like Ben a of shabas
right and you walk you can barely make
your way through the G is at hand there
is an idea the Jewish people this is an
ancient idea I'm not making it up Jewish
people are going to return to the land
of Israel and we're going to live safely
in the land amen that's that's basically
the idea sounds wonderful by the way
sounds amazing okay the idea of I mean
just think there's a lot of concept quen
this imagine that there's no more war in
the world which is one of the basic
premises of Isaiah the prophet and
others that write about this no more war
think about all the money that is spent
on Weaponry wait a second so mhia comes
this isn't the perfect world they come
and they're now the leader is here and
all the Jews have congregated in the
land of Israel what happens to the rest
of the world where are the rest of the
Nations question what what are they
doing right now so they what most people
think is everyone becomes Jewish but it
can't be because someone's got to buy
retail right so we can't have that we
can't you know that but the world
carries on as is but everyone this is a
big difference and just imagine this
just try to download this one piece the
entire world believes in the one true
God of Israel they don't become Jewish
they're fine as they are they need to
become Jewish now they don't need to
become Jewish now they're fine as they
are unlike Christianity in Islam that
you need to accept Jesus right or
Muhammad as your prophet in order to you
know go to alah get to heaven according
to Judaism you're fine as you are you
don't need to and so they'll be living
around the world carrying on but they'll
be living with a much higher level of
God Consciousness whatever that
means so you know this to me sounds a
little bit strange one second if I'm not
a Jew and I'm living in Arizona and
Messiah is here and I'm hearing all
about this amazing story of this this
Judaism is the real religion look I mean
look at all the miraculous things that
are happening by are anything miraculous
happening okay so because if I was
Arizona and I'm a non-jew I'm like oh my
God I want to be a part of this out I'm
missing out I'm in the wrong I'm in the
wrong religion here here like why would
they just sit idly by around just
watching all this happen being content
okay that's a great question Isaiah the
prophet goes far as to say they're going
to stream to Israel to see this great
King right because they're going to be I
mean right now they're obsessed with
Israel and the Jews look at Russia and
Ukraine right now no one's talking about
that it's all about Jews and you know we
accidentally kill a couple of civilians
and we become like the top news so we
have been the epicenter of information
and news for hundreds if not thousands
of years so us being the epicenter
shouldn't surprise you too much but
they're fine and they will come to visit
as they it's going to happen more and
more and more but they're going to carry
on their lives and there'll be no more
religions no more Islam Christianity or
even Judaism as we know it is going to
change and it's going to be better that
is the basic principle of Jewish faith
the rum bom this is very broad what you
just said to me this is you were you
were almost evading my question okay
because and maybe there isn't an answer
to this but it sounds to me like there
isn't going to be a day at least you're
not telling me this where it's going to
be clear as day to the world that the
Jews and and the god were the Jews were
the chosen people and they were the one
true religion yeah and there isn't going
to be that day there is 100% it's going
to be that day there is going to be that
day 100% so if that's if that's going to
happen that's a that's a process it's a
process it's like a go to college are
you telling me it's going to be a day
when I finally graduate my certificate
yeah but there's a process to get to
that point ah so Messiah is not the end
of it all mhia is a process in divulging
that je correct and that's take time
that process actually began a while ago
okay when we can discuss do you think
we're already somewhat not even times of
right now everyone feels it everyone
feels not just Jews the whole world
feels that a big change is going to come
to the world they're feeling it okay
then I was misled my whole life as I'm
sure a lot of people and I'm very upset
I'm very mad because I went my whole
life thinking that there's going to be
this grandious aha moment is going to be
like the magic trick is being revealed
right the door opens and it's like I'm
here and it's all that's what I was told
yeah that's what I was taught that's
what I thought it was what you're saying
is no no no it's totally not that and I
was lied to by the way I was lied to
because this is what they teach us they
do teach us a little bit about mashia
and this is what they tell us what's
going to happen one day a mashia is
going to show up and the whole world is
going to go poof and everything's going
to change and it's all going to be
amazing not true it's a process it's
going to take time but this realization
will come to them and it's going to at
different stages I mean we live in a
world right now where I can share
information that spreads throughout the
entire world in one moment that's
amazing thing so the information will be
shared used to take a long time to get
to the newspapers and information and
letters but now it's going to happen
very very quickly but even so it's going
to take time for that to happen now I
want to add another layer to this
there's a lot more to say add another
layer that one of mhi's jobs that people
don't really want to talk about is he's
a military leader Kings to be honest and
we think it was great rabbis well they
actually were were political leaders the
real spiritual leaders were the kohanim
and the Nim well the the Nim the
prophets were more of the Visionary
that's why most most of the battles in
the Bible and tanak are between the
Kings and the prophets right the malim
and theim why because the king is the
political leader we need to overtake
that country right now we need to defend
our we have the solders we need to do
that and the prophet comes along and say
no no because if you do that this is
going to happen in the future they're
the Visionary that's why so many
prophets were killed by Jewish Kings so
the job of a king is a political leader
so one of the jobs he's going to have to
do in the r mentions this in the laws of
Kings which makes sense that's the place
talk about mashiah you're going talk
about MH anyway where it's the laws of
Kings kingship royalties is going to
return to the Jewish people is to prove
that he is Messiah as well as his job as
Messiah is to fight the wars of God
we're going to have wars that going to
take place in and around Jerusalem in
Israel now we have not had that for
thousands of years with a government in
Israel which the prophets speak about so
that's happening now as well and there's
going to be a final battle which I'm
sure you've heard of before called Gog
and Magog which has become extremely
popular talking about my videos that get
the most views Gog and Magog is a final
battle and Messiah is somehow going to
be we don't know how he's going to be
involved in that final battle to remove
the world of evil evil is going to
disappear uh look this is amazing and it
it it sounds great it really does and I
I really hope that this is what is going
to be but it's you're throwing a lot at
me right now like this is really hard to
process you know all at once and like a
part of me is thinking all right so I
guess BB not yahu is the King right now
like are you telling me that right now
it's actually transacting where we're
actively in middle of msia and the wars
are taking place is all a part of this
plan like I thought mhia has to be
unanimous like everybody's going to know
ever met it sounds like it's going to be
have you met all the people or you agree
on something immediately I me even your
show open the win close the win AC on AC
off on 68 or 72 there's nothing in the
Jewish World right which becomes clear
straight away it's a process and that's
okay does to be overnight I know we want
immediate answers to everything but it
doesn't going to work it doesn't have
people ask you a lot about mashiah I'm
curious before we go into closing here
um I'm just curious does anybody
actually claim to be
mashiah I would say at this point of my
career I I think I am I can't prove this
to you um the person who gets most
people who contact them to say that they
think they're Messiah it is it every
single day every day whether on my
social media channels or Whatsapp I got
a call I was in the shower I got a call
if I get a call from someone from North
Carolina they call me every day they try
to contact me people think the mhia is
called Messianic complex it's part of
delusions of is that a real derangement
real delusions of grand is a real um how
do you know they're not what do they
tell you that they say that they think
what makes them what reasons do they
give you I've only had a conversation
really with one of them I usually ignore
them at this point I actually got a call
many years ago when I used to leave my
cell phone on at night time so I'm get a
call and it was middle of the night and
he said with a very Indian accent which
I can actually do because I'm from
England let's hear it he goes hello I am
calling you from Delhi and you're the
Raab who give videos before the book
came out do you RAB you that's not bad
by the way thank you so much well I grew
Upland I have Indian family my my uh
uncles and aunts actually lived in India
in Bombay for many years wow my
grandfather's sister was on the national
hockey team of India it's the true India
has a hockey team no no not ice hockey
field hockey oh that's very very cool
yeah field hockey I'm surprised they
even play field hockey as oh massive
yeah in India in India in India I'm
saying it I got a call and this guy
don't they play cricket over there is
that very big very and in England I grew
up playing Cricket anyway so this guy
calls me up and he goes I'm here with
mhia and I was like 3 in the morning I
was like midle and because I'm like had
to like what is going is this really
happy is this a dream right so is it a
dream so I'm like is this really so like
what Mak you think he's Messiah goes
well he's so charismatic and he's
fulfilling all the prophecies and d d d
so I said is he Jewish I'm like he's not
Messiah click that's the end of it first
qualification is you got to be Jewish
you've got to know the Torah you got to
do all the mitv says the rambam like
just like King David your an you have to
prove you are direct descendant of King
David right benar which itself is a big
deal to do that you're going to have
prophecy
prophecy is going to return to the
Jewish people I know we're no longer a
prophet
organization but she prophec is going to
return to the Jewish people that's very
clear and all the prophets speak about
that so we're going to see it so I get a
lot of these people all the time now I
do not engage with them but I will say
to may sound a little in I've never said
this before I had a conversation with
one of them many years ago and I want to
get to know them and they're not
completely C right I mean they think
they're Mia but I said to him you know
what makes you think you are and he gave
me some explanation everyone's got their
own answer but he said to me something
very profound and he said you know I
want to make the world a better place
and I feel I can be part of that that's
really the core of all of these people
who think they're Messiah and there are
thousands and thousands of them out
there even people watching right now
some of them even Jewish they want to
they want they feel as the world is not
right which is true they feel the world
can be a better place which is true as
well and they feel as though they can be
a catalyst to make the world a better
place which in some sense we all have a
little bit of Miss yeah well do what
Michael Jackson says you know look in
the mirror and start look with yourself
if you want to make the world a better
place you know so they're not mashiah
because they want to make the world a
better place obviously that's not enough
of a qualification I will say in closing
guys that you know each one of us can
help make this world a better place you
can start by looking in the mirror but
you can also start by asking questions
the fact that you have questions that
you don't even realize is something
that's can be very profound ask the
question do a lot of listening that
we've learned today and Rob Lawrence
this was fantastic we can go on for
hours yeah and by the way I I have a
million things say I feel like everybody
has you off he has his moment finally he
got invited onto the podcast you are
cutting my own next door neighbor who
chose and selected me to live next to
him finally a podcast we learn we
learned a lot from this episode
somewhere to go is there like a an event
that's sta statistics show that people
run out of patience when it gets to over
an hour and explain to my Lex freedman's
podcast of her three hours then when I'm
at Lex fredman you know we'll go on for
eight hours believe me um but yeah
that's uh that's a that's a true story
people don't have patience to listen to
people for over an hour so when I look
at because we all have ADD yeah and he
tells me we're over an hour I try to
wrap it up can I can I tell you my joke
my ad joke yes please let's end with
your ad joke I really end with a joke by
the way go for it I'll do it anyway so
add stands for attention deficit
disorder what's ADHD attention deficit
hey
Donuts what is the H for by the way I
think hyperactive I think
hyperactive well hey he all yeah thank
he thank you Rie Lawrence for being here
we really appreciate it we guys a real
pleasure this is by the way you two are
uh like a dysfunctional married couple I
love I'll take what I can get by the way
dysfunctional and married couple those
two things are kind of synonymous yes
they work together well the whole
purpose of it Kim's wife pessy and my
wife were very good friends and believe
me dysfunction is the lasting theim and
his represent pessy they're very
functional yeah say that due to a
dysfunctional but it's boring otherwise
it's boring who wants to be boring I'm
against being boring I like to be uh you
know fresh and fun and keep things
really you know entertaining because
let's face it we all I I started with
this and I want to finish with this we
all need a little bit more humor in our
lives yeah we have enough garbage going
on we have enough traumatic things
happening tragedies all around us and if
you just let that become the storyline
then it's just you're going to become
more and more miserable like you need to
just lighten up you need to you know
have guests like this who have something
nice to say and you know by the way I I
respect that you took on this Mission
and that you're like running with it and
that you're going all the way and
another thing people should have their
own like Hobbies people should have
their own passions that they're into
whether it's work whether it's sports
watches or watches yes yes as dull as
that may be but certainly certainly uh I
I think this msah thing is is amazing
and I think schools should teach a
little bit more about this this way this
way Guys Like Me by the time we're
hitting our 40s you know not like so
like you know over overdone with this
whole topic and like it is what it is
and I'm just like I don't want to talk
about it or we don't feel like if our
feet aren't together during Shan asay
we're not going to hell right right or
if I look under the the Talis by when
the Kohan oh my God your eyes are going
to burn out and I'm gonna get blind like
by the way whatever rebi taught the
children the first Reby that came up
with this and said let me tell by the
way he's not a good guy he's not a good
guy that rebi by the way he's just a
fear-mongering person that's all he did
we are a result I went to a very and I
was saic which back then wasn't cool now
it's cool to be sa oh sa right made it
cool to be safic but before I grew up
you're like a second class citizen but
we were all basically students of people
who came out of the Holocaust right I
know your family was my wife's family
and these re B basically they were
trying to rebuild something they didn't
know what they were doing they felt the
only way to do it was to I mean
literally Hammer home I came from a
school where there was corporate they
used to hit us it's just nowadays we
would never have such a thing so we are
basically result of a post Holocaust
generation that's I mean a whole
discussion of itself of what happened in
the Jewish educational system I don't
think it was always like this I don't
think it was always like fire and
brimstone and if you die I grew up the
same thing I used get a PCH for you know
for I once I remember this so clearly I
was hot while I was ding in the amida
whatever it was what I was like I must I
was in primary school so I was 10 years
old I started take my sweater off and
the Reit gave me a smack and said taking
sweat of and fun of Hashem you know and
I'll be honest with you that guy gave
you the wrong image of hasem he gave you
the wrong idea of but at a long time it
ruined D for me I'll honest with you but
that was a great thing let's fix it
though let's fix it it's not too late
let's fix it a new gener I think I
believe we are on the side of fixing it
I want to have I I try this very hard
with my children love give them love and
everything else will fall into place
because when you have a more confident
person and when they feel better about
themselves they can conquer the world
they can do anything but somebody who's
mired in bitterness and some somebody
who's just afraid all the time and is
ashamed yeah and who has guil those
people are not successful notoriously
I'll tell as much as I love i' love to
debate you and argue with you ASI but
you are on the money today yeah
100% love for children everything else
is a mood point my father-in-law always
says yeah you want a good number to call
call 1-800 love that's the number you
call one 100 love because love is the
end all be all and it conquers
everything it really does did anyone
ever tell him that love is just four
numbers somebody should memo to Robie
Lawrence we do have a tradition here at
the none of your business podcast before
ending and uh first of all I want to
thank again prime source and all our
listeners please don't forget to like
comment and subscribe um before we end
we'd like to ask you who would you
recommend to come on the nof your
business podcast a question well two big
choices Donald Trump and ellon Musk
them both at the same time let's bying
asking me who do you recommend that you
can call and ask them now to join the N
podcast um I would Rec again I don't
there's a few people that come to mind
just pop into my head but if you gave me
a bit more time and had you preempted
this question no we want your impulsive
answer impulsive answer
yes Robie Lawrence is the assistant
Rabbi to an amazing synagogue sh in the
uh Upper East Side in Manhattan called
the saffra synagogue and I had the
privilege of being there once for chabas
and him as as an assistant Rabbi pretty
much runs the place but it's leader
shill today you're the assistant Rabbi
it's not official but I I'm one of the
rabbis on the team of rabbis over there
so I do classes there I run shabbats and
the leader of that okay so I'm gonna go
back to this question because ushi I'm
gonna tell you a story that happened
with Robie Lawrence and I Lawrence once
and we were talking about a gentleman
that he knows very very well that was
at the cusp of buying a sports team he
did buy the team do you remember this I
remember but he was a day away from
buying it he didn't close yet and
Lawrence looks at me and he goes he's
goingon to be buying the team from
Michael Jordan and from like other
people who are selling it right is that
what it was Absolut sure so I looked at
him I said get him on the phone right
now I want to buy a part of the team and
Lawrence looks at me like are you are
you mad are you mad are you mad I said
Lawrence get him on the phone he
couldn't say no to me I didn't say are
you mud I said are you mad
yeah okay thank you for that he gets him
on the
phone I I introduced myself I said Hi
how are you how you doing look it's been
my dream on a sports team my entire life
everybody's dream and I'm okay good and
I'm I'm good friends with Rie Lawrence
and we impact each other and we help
each other grow in life and I know he's
connected to you and by default I'm
connected to you because he's connected
to me I'm not asking for much I'm asking
for
0.000000 Infinity zeros as many zeros as
you want with a one at the end for me to
buy a portion of your team he say he
left click he he said that's fine but
the minimum am is $26 million that's
true that's that $2 billion team wow
that's not that's more than two billion
I think who was it was it the the
Charlotte Hornets Charlotte Hornets the
Charlotte Hornets yeah Michael own the
charlot Hornets not anymore he owns 5%
of it still he kept the look what about
getting him on our podcast Michael
Jordan no Michael Jordan would be nice
do you um yeah play singles pickle bow
or doubles
only I play both I prefer singles like I
prefer singles but doubles is more fun
but I prefer playing do you fancy
yourself to be a really good Pickle
Player I don't I am a very good Pickle
Player so you do no one beats me in
moner so you definitely fancy your no
one beats me in Monster okay so great
nobody beat W all right one second I
have got get someone to beat hold on
hold on hold on hold on hold on I'm just
saying I mean I haven't played
everyone I don't know you well but I'll
take you word for it because you seem
like an honorable person okay I have
$100 here I'm going to put on the table
I'd like you to do the same please okay
I'd like you to put the same okay you're
committing to $100 okay I don't know
what for yet I'm going to I'm going to
get you a competition yeah with another
M player you said be the best of M manh
matter of fact he lives about less than
three miles from your house okay so it's
very close right okay and you're going
to have a pickle ball match okay and uh
not only is he going to beat you I'm
willing to give you a handicap I'm
willing to even give you a certain
amount of points
that you're going to get how many points
would he give me I me game goes up to 11
how many game goes to 11 you're not
going to get more than six points off of
him wow you're basically willing to give
him you're going to double he's going to
double the points off you're basically
going to give him a fivepoint lead in
every game because it's up to 11 right
giving him a lead well no give be a lead
of Five Points yes I was going to give
you a lead of Five Points that is
correct in each game and how many games
three games you tell me so best of three
I'll play best of five if you want to no
no best of three two games best of three
you have to win two can I ask you this
person is no first just agree $100 you
want to agree that knowing it is yes
matter of fact it could be Andre
Agy you a one-way deal here's $100 you
don't have to commit anything and I'm
putting this on the side and if you beat
him this is yours and bragging rights by
the way those come now who is done okay
his name is Mayor arm is his name have
you heard of him I have not heard of him
okay he di my okay okay he's very
undercover guy he's not very well he's
not a very loud person so not a lot of
people know him but um I believe that he
is by far the best pickle ball player
not in M he's got a good name for it cuz
he's got a good arm you that's his name
so that definitely helps the pun I may
change my name to bat and bow just to uh
okay it's on it's it's on it's on it's
it's on I mean maybe should ask him
first I don't need to ask him he'll be
his pleasure to obliterate you yes okay
yeah he won't beat you he'll obliterate
you there's a difference yes make sure
that you leave with your ego intact when
you leave the court anyway I have no
problem losing I'm excited I'm bringing
a crowd I'm not going to lose I'm
bringing a crowd with me by the way
please it's not you're not going to lose
in front of one or two people I've
wanted to start a pickle bow tournament
I might have live stream this I think we
should get y green bam who runs the The
Muny sporting world he runs the you know
very competitive leagues all over you
know what I'm talking about yeah yeah so
we're gonna have a him live stream this
competition we're going to build it up
we got to build it up a little bit
between you and mayor arm pickle bable
Court going to be the event of the year
I'm not the $100 go to sodaka yes Saka
but if I win sodaka of my choice sure
here's $100 you give it to whever you
want I don't take it you I haven't one
when you win if you win you'll give it
to your choice of a charity when okay
great are we good Robie Lawrence it was
a pleasure having you here it was an
honor pleasure was all and it was it was
fun it was fun it was funny like I was
going to say and um yeah until next time
guys okay thank you very much glad come
