Not Everything God Does Is “Good” — Here’s the Truth

There’s a sentence we throw around so easily: “Everything Hashem does is good.” But that’s not what Chazal say. They say: כל מה דעביד רחמנא לטב עביד — everything Hashem does is FOR the good. That difference is everything. Because if you tell someone who’s in pain that what they’re going through is “good”…you might be missing their heart completely. But if you say, "it’s for the good", you’re saying: "I don’t understand this moment, but I trust where it’s leading."
