we which is full of laws continuing from
last week uh also this will also go
towards ba uh
mayem judge him favorably favorably and
uh amen
hopefully uh cause all of us to uh to
learn how uh how needy we are for for
hm's Grace at all times of our
life
also
debie
debie I'm sorry but Rael uh and uh all
of them Israel all of them Israel they
all have
uh and get closer and closer to
hem as soon as possible amen amen you
know the uh the things that we uh we see
all the time is that you know when you
uh tell people about uh doing Chua
changing their life fixing their life
things of that nature uh sometimes
people react in a favorable way they see
the
truth they act you know just like uh we
spoke about last week with he saw the
truth he heard that's it that was enough
for
him unfortunately most of the world is
not like that most of the world is not
uh quite the same uh most of the world
needs to hear
it over and over and over again until we
do CH and uh the one of the things that
uh we see that shows
hashem's Grace's with us uh is that he
constantly gives us an opportunity last
week I told you guys a story
about and uh you know he said you know
what's when someone asked him what's
going to happen to all of the wicked
people people not keeping not keeping
Shabbat not
keeping all the foundation of uh of
Judaism and uh you know as the Torah
says repeated it without worrying about
being politically correct like many
people are today he said listen someone
that's not uh righteous will burn and
Gom this is not politically correct this
is not something that people want to
hear this is not what people want to
feel but unfortunately in our
generation this is the first step of
what makes people do
Chua and a for my littleit Limited The
Experience over the last few years of
helping people do CH uh we've had a lot
of success especially in the last uh few
months a lot of people have uh from all
over the world as the shim has become
more uh more
popular and even with a lot of converts
from all over the world from Norway from
Bulgaria uh from Australia from uh
Atlanta all over the United States
converts the phone doesn't stop the
internet doesn't stop it's m if I can
get a few hours of sleep it's uh it's a
present it's m I'm unbelievable and I'm
thankful for it hopefully it's 24 hours
a day you see that there are people in
the world that are searching for the
truth but there is one common
denominator amongst most people that
I've seen and obviously I've also seen
from Rabbi kak's experience and also
Rabbi M's experience and also for my own
personal experience
that most people that
have gotten to the point of not only
seeing the truth but welcoming the truth
once they see it usually had to
encounter a very big
difficulty usually had to encounter
something very difficult in their life
whether it was a
divorce Shalom or a death or sickness or
money lost or something like that
so any of us that have not encountered
any of those major
issues should really feel
fortunate that we have an opportunity to
do CH before Hashem gives us
the the big uh the big uh plague the the
most difficult one as I told you from my
per you know previous experience in sh
number 45 we talked about it in detail
with verses in the
Tor I wasn't wise enough I had many many
tests from Hashem many notices from
Hashem and didn't listen and uh the test
became more and more
difficult now rasan
says that one of the things that people
need to understand is that they cannot
show up to the BET of
sham
and
expect the truth to tolerate
lies because the be of sh sh is complete
truth there's no lies there's no stories
there's no sh there's no uh a cover up
for anything the Shad is a bribes uh
there's none of that stuff over there is
the truth they show you a
movie on a big screen
TV and you see exactly what happened
from the minute you started your life
here to the minute you ended your life
and it tells you exactly every single
thing you did and they ask you questions
about every single event why why did you
steal here why did you do this why did
you do this why this why this but it's
not like I'm saying it's in a nice calm
way if you did Chua they still uh if you
did Chua depends what level of Chua you
reached if you did the full complete
Chua no full complete chuva can wipe out
your sins turn them into either if you
did
chuva where it's you know it's
completely out of just fear then your
sins turn into a uh shig meaning
accidental
sins uh accidental sins you don't get
the same level or anywhere near the same
level of judgment it's much much slower
it's a uh big gift if you ultimately
continue this Chua and you build your
Chua in part or even all of your Chua
gets to a high level where you get
to love of hem you know CH out of out of
love your your sins not only are no
longer there but they actually all turn
into mitv
you show up to the bed of
sh with instead of 50 trillion sins you
now have 50 trillion MIT plus all the
MIT you did on top of that you're a very
very rich man or a
woman so wasman said listen this is what
it says this is what Torah says there's
a judge there's a you know and uh
there's a instructions of what to
follow now again
and said so what's going to happen
what's what can we
add
to to this what can we add to what said
not that it's not enough what can we add
to it that applies to our generation
that makes us see the of see the the the
uh love from Hashem and the kindness
from Hashem despite such harsh
words on one hand you're telling me
listen Hashem loves us we're his
firstborn son he uh you know he cares
everything about us he gives us
everything even if what he gives us he
knows that we're going to use it to sin
against him he's still going to give it
to us even a Rasha even a
rash that's about to do something bad
rob a bank kill somebody whatever he
wants to do some R prays to hasem and
believes that hm will help him H will
help
him even
a why because believing in Hashem and
believing that Hashem will help you is
enough of a reason for Hashem to help
you that's the kindness of hm so now how
can we
see the kindness of hasem in
such in such difficult words where says
the secular Wicked that do not do
will burn and
again
says the ofm in our generation and every
generation has been the same there's no
such thing as a person that goes through
their entire life without constantly
encountering AEM without constantly
seeing hashem's hand in his life no such
thing a different part of somebody's
life AEM will appear to him in one way
or another he will create such a miracle
for him whether it's through his
business or through his marriage or
through his a uh you know saved his life
for an accident or countless trillions
of other ways that Hashem can show
himself to us where it's obvious that
there has to be something that
influenced the the outcome because it
has nothing to do with us has nothing to
do with us somebody
didn't study for a test didn't you know
had problems at home had problems at
work had problems but he needs this test
to become a lawyer he needs this test to
become a financial advisor he needs this
test to become an electrician
unfortunately did not have time somehow
he shows up to the test and he not only
passes the test but he passes it in with
flying colors what do you think all of a
sudden he became
smart somebody has a train running right
at him all of a sudden somebody he
didn't see was completely empty on the
uh on the uh train tracks nobody's there
he didn't realize the train is coming
and all of a sudden somebody pulls him
back where did that guy come from why
did that guy even care enough to save
your
life somebody's got to about to declare
bankruptcy has nothing lost all of his
money hasem shows up shows up with money
in one way or another that you could not
even think about as hem says
my thoughts are not like your thoughts I
don't think like you so don't give
me
ideas of what I should do to help
you I don't need your ideas because my
thoughts are not like your thoughts
everything that you can think
of is not going to happen why because if
it's a solution
that you can come up
with it cannot be a solution that hasem
will
use because then you're going to think
you did
it you're going to give excuse oh it's
nature or it's me or it's my friend or
it's this or it's that when Hashem
brings his salvation to your life he
gives you gives it to you in a way
that's the last thing that you could
have ever thought in in Mo you know in a
uh all cases really you couldn't have
thought of
it so how is it that so many people
encounter entire life full life whether
it's 30 years or it's 100 years it's
still a full life in essence because
they still live up to them it's a full
life for them they've had
many situations in their life where
Hashem sent them a sign he talked to
them in one way or another sometimes
he's talking to them through
hardship sickness poverty marriage
problems kids problems million other
problems that we have in this world and
sometimes it's through miracles to get
you out of this difficulties but he's
constantly talking to you so how is it
that people go to 30 50 60 70 100 120
years without believing in God and I
don't mean believing in God with his no
no no I believe in God but they don't
keep
anything someone that goes to
beet doesn't mean he believes in God
somebody that has a beard doesn't mean
believes in
God believing in God is Not only
complying with what the Torah
says but making god
making a part of your daily life all day
all the
time why did he give us so many mitv to
keep us to keep him in our
mind think about me pray to me ask me
son ask me and I'll give it to you I
have so much to give you just need to
pray for
it just pray for it if you didn't get it
that's because you didn't pray for it I
have it he has it money wife children
anything you want he has
it
pray but at the least you could do is
pray for the Apple you about to eat you
went to the bathroom everything worked
remind you that I created the uh Heaven
and the Earth in six days and rested on
the seventh you pray on Shabbat you
learn my Torah you learn my instruction
set that I gave to you over 3,300 years
ago pray to me if you're not getting
what you want my friend that means
you're not
praying because Hashem has it all he
wants you is to ask
ask this is why is over 40 years
had a surprise present every day every
day it was a surprise to them that the
man showed up from
Heaven food from Heaven showed up every
day they did not have to slaughter
anything they not have to chase any
animals they not have to you know maybe
collect some Scorpions from the ground
maybe to eat it because they're starving
nothing everything every morning man
showed up and based on the level ofun in
righteousness of the person the man
showed up closer to their house to their
tent if the person was completely
righteous it showed up right at their
door if the person was wicked he had to
walk a little bit for it depending how
Wicked he was could be a mile even
everybody else he's seeing everybody
else finishing their food he finally got
his why he didn't pray to
me why did Hashem give it to us every
day cuz he wanted want us to pray to him
why do hasm give us a lot of mitv he
wants us to pray to him why does hasm
give us difficulties because it's the
only time we remember him through
problems never in history have I ever
heard personally someone says thank God
after they won the
lot
so of again says
Hashem shows up in your
life
constantly you have to pay
attention you have to open your eyes
overcome your yet your evil inclination
in your desire for material things your
desire for doing whatever you
please and see his hand in it and once
you see his hand in your
life you never want to let it go
we have to see
it so now when someone
passes unfortunately there's not much
that they can do for
themselves they're already in Judgment
Day there's a trial in shamim that last
one
year and all of the truth is
exposed as we said and as it says in the
Tah there's no bribes there's no uh
excuses there's nothing
else so what can we
do what can we
do the few things that the person left
in this world is the only thing that it
could help
him when someone left
behind a life of Torah
and he has students he has children
they're learning Torah every one of them
is a partner in the situation gets
better and better every year
on both the the living and and the ones
that have
passed get judged why what do you mean
he's already judged he's already up
there all of the mitv that he
accumulated as a result of his actions
during his life even if his life was 500
years ago he wrote a book book people
are doing CH because of his book for the
last 500 years every year new people
read this book every year new people
have done mitah because of this book
every year those mitv go up to him and
make his situation even better than it
already is there's no limitation to the
amount of good that hasm can offer
us there's no limit to
G unfortunately if someone left
bad it's the opposite
so what can we do to somebody that
didn't leave
much the few things that we can
do is the obviously the popular one is
when someone says
kadish someone says kadish on a someone
that have
passed could potentially help his soul
to know some extent it doesn't
necessarily get anyone that's wicked
into a uh gedan or anything but it helps
it helps
if someone is righteous makes them even
better someone is doing a Mitzvah
because of
you so there a good thing that kazal
teaches us about just to understand this
and then we'll St to par and we'll go
over some other things later on to
connect all of this is in the morning
prayer and also at night in both inak
and and also when there's a you know
uh
say and we
say
right a
thousand a thousand of them is worth one
Amen in a
thousand is worth one
amen one at one time you say Amen
somebody said a prayer for an apple they
eat Bo
is worth like a
thousand why aen because we remember we
learned a man is not really just a man
like oh a man aen aen aen man no a man
is acronym
forem L the god mhm the king the
reliable what mean reliable well of
course I can reli no reliably means that
when I say
something that's it doesn't change my
thoughts are not like your thoughts when
I say there's a reward and Punishment
there a reward and punishment for all
when I say someone has someone
hasom whatever it
is
means whatever I say is eternal the
Torah that I wrote is eternal will never
change whatever those crazy Christians
say or Catholics or Muslims or kites or
anybody else that's a they want to say
there's other books
no when anyone in the world says the
word says they're contradicting those
thoughts themselves why because that
word means the Torah can never change
it's
Eternal can never
change no no elaborations no
modernization nothing that's what amen
means
on a small level there's more we can
talk about
amen a thousand amen a thousand
amen equals
[Applause]
one which is what you say in kadish
someone
says right we
respond
that one is equal a, am
men a thousand of
men
[Applause]
a I didn't make this up I'm not smart if
something like
this learn this
from something
amazing everyone wants to say kadish
somebody passed away Shalom a parent a
brother a sister uh friend whatever the
biggest big Cav that someone wants to
give someone honor that someone wants to
give someone that past is say kadish on
him and you see that when the public
says
amen how level of it how high of a level
it is now a thousand of
a is equal to one word in the
Torah one word
starts the first
word just now I said is worth a
thousand right there you said how many
said five
words what this shows you the level
of you learn
to nothing
better now
is the
point we all know that there's two types
of sins there's the sin of which is
something that's literally written in
the
Tor and then there's
the the laws the additions that rabbis
the sages not rabbis from you know local
synagogue today 2,000 years ago sages
that were able to bring back the dead
sages that had cures for every disease
sages that their wisdom if we lived a
million years we can't get to
them okay this type of sages people
think oh no some old Rabbi 2,000 years
ago thought of these
mitv if you learn about the sages and
the stories of the sages you realize
this is not normal and according to our
standards we talked about the uh the uh
significance of the sages in the past we
had a sh about it they had cures they
already had the uh ability to do uh a um
lipos suction 2,500 years ago give
somebody anesthesia 2,500 years ago cure
problems with the eyes with just putting
a cream in the back of the head you
remember all this in a shi if you don't
I'll tell you after a shi I don't
remember which number it was but it's a
uh one of the sh we did a lot of
different things that sages had wisdom
that they had is beyond anything we
could imagine they knew the number of
stars they know exactly how long it
takes spe every species to become
pregnant
amazing they knew that wine in I think
it's if I don't if I'm not
mistaken they already knew that wine is
good for the
heart but beer is bad for it this will
only discovered in modern medicine maybe
the last 20
years 2,500 years ago they knew this
they didn't have MRIs CAT scans and all
this allab equipment this is the sages
I'm talking about
so
ran they added some things because hasem
said put a fence around my fence based
on the
generation you're going to see that some
people are more inclined to make certain
sins in different Generations different
Generations have different the that the
generation of bet mikdash the second bet
mikdash doing
a I'm sorry the first bet doing
a doesn't make any sense to us
what do you mean so they went to
Chinatown they got a little statue and
then they started praying him when they
have AEM they see
hashem's you know uh is is is um I guess
some some type of uh
Cloud that he's bringing to the BET
mikdash every
day and then they take a little statue
they bought from chinat toown and they
pray to it doesn't make any sense well
first of all we know already from
previous that those statues had powers
they were able to talk they were able to
do things but it doesn't matter you have
AEM and our two different
things our is to barely do in the
morning wake up for
for is barely we're afraid to put a
keeper maybe somebody's going to make
fun of
me maybe this guy's not going to do
business with me we're afraid is looking
at women all the time we can't keep our
eyes just to our wife you know based on
the Torah your wife is not only supposed
to supposed to be everything but every
woman in the world is supposed to be
like a monkey to
you know I'm I'm not joking every woman
in the world other than your wife is
supposed to be a
monkey
Beauty only belongs to your wife you're
never allowed to say or even think that
anyone else is
good-looking why you sign the you sign a
it's a contract all of your
attention all of your love all of your
desire belongs to your wife you sign
a part of theba is marital relations
whenever your wife wants you you're
obligated to do it it's not whenever you
want whenever she wants but part of that
is that you are devoting your life to
her you have to keep your eyes so
now raanan said I'm going to have we're
going to have to add a few
laws because different Generations make
different sense
so we're going to add certain things to
keep them away from it so for example
the reason you're not allowed to ride a
bicycle on Shabbat not let the write a
bicycle Shabbat based on the Tor you're
allowed based on the the you're
allowed added the law you're not allowed
why because of the fear that if you ride
a bicycle on Shabbat maybe the chain is
going to fall off and you're going to
fix it and that you're not allowed to do
on Shabbat based on the
so to get you away from ever making
a a Biblical
violation let's just not ride a bicycle
so it's not allowed to ride a
bicycle so raanan we're very
smart to get us as far away from ever
making a Biblical sin because biblical
sin rean is also a problem but it's not
as big of a problem as what hasem said
so now why am I saying all of this
remember we started this by
saying a
thousand is one amen one a thousand amen
is one
one a
th equals to one word in
Tor now if let's say someone wants to
spend not a regular day but Shabbat
the level of T that you learn during the
week versus the level of T you learn on
Shabbat is two different things just so
you know you learn T during the week
it's great magnificent you have to every
morning every night you have to learn to
at some point every day ideally is to
learn at morning and at night twice a
day but if you can't at least once a day
you have to do once a
day but you learn your your reward for
learning to
shabbat
is a billion times higher
one word that you learn on
Shabbat is extraordinary it's light it's
it's Heaven and Earth difference of the
reward that you get for the Torah you
learn on Shabbat versus during the day
so now some guy smart guy he says Ah not
only am I going to learn on Shabbat I'm
learn 24 hours
straight on Shabbat Shabbat 24 learn 24
hours look how much MIT I'm getting over
here one Tor one word of Tor I'm going
to learn for 24 hours how many words can
you
do did math he
said can
learn 60,000 words in an
hour read 60,000 words in one hour he
learns for he learns for 10 hours a day
that means he makes
600,000 at the highest level a day
that's why it's a good deal to help
somebody learns T your partner in every
one of those he gets 600,000 every day
you get 600,000 it's not 300
300 it's like fire BV is like
fire one candle lights a second candle
that's uh you know it's there still two
fires not like the one first candle went
half so someone says you know what I'm
going learn to I'm going to learn for 24
hours get the highest level of mitah at
the highest time on Shabbat
but what
happens he forgot to keep the light on
in his
room his darkness in his office he can't
learn
to so he says you know what maybe I can
make a violation
ran by turning on the light with a
shinui in in a unnatural way turning on
the light obviously not all to do
it but turning it
on with a unusual way that's a that's a
violation of rabinal law so what is he
going to do I'm going to take my chair
and throw it at the
switch it's going to turn it on so I'm
making a sin but it's a small sin
it's why to make 24 hours worth of uh
the highest level of mitv well get a go
toah
says it's
better to
completely not study even one word of
Torah on
Shabbat not even one word then to make a
rabinal
sin all of that Torah is canceled now
it's cancelled it's 24 hours of T he's
ready he's prepared he's prepared the
whole week the whole month the whole
year for this one
day says that little biblical sin you
think it's a little bit biblical
sin is worth
more than your Torah for 24 hours on
Shabbat if that doesn't give us the idea
of how big Shabbat
is in a nice
way in
sham there something wrong with
us now why is
it that so many people do not have a
clue that Shabbat is as significant as
it gets and last week's
par we got the Ten
Commandments The Ten
Commandments are not the 613 uh MIT we
have they're not they're not part of the
613 mitv they're the foundation meaning
that the 613
mitv all stem from the
10 the Ten
Commandments break into 613 mitv all of
those 613 mitv have a source that's one
of the Ten
Commandments which means the Ten
Commandments
it's
everything violating 10 one of the Ten
Commandments you violated the entire
Tor so now obviously we know that
Shabbat is number
four but how come so many people don't
know because they don't follow the first
verse in this week's Paras
first Works verse in this
week's and these are the
ordinances these are the rules the
ordinances that you shall place before
them Hashem is telling
you this is the rules you have to put
this in front of
people don't don't worry about if they
feel bad don't worry about if they get
turned off don't worry about if they
don't like it or they don't agree with
it or they get mad at
you this is the rules you have to put
this in front of
them don't think for me don't be a
prophet and say no maybe he can't handle
it maybe he can't handle it maybe it's
too much maybe it's not too much it's
not your business it's not your business
what the future holds Hashem decides the
future holdes this what the Torah is the
same today as it was 3,300 years ago
it's the same that it's going to be
forever because someone is upset does
not change the Torah because someone
doesn't like it doesn't change the
Torah he doesn't agree with it doesn't
change the Tor everything stays the same
your job here you go my friend seph t
look you're upset that I told you that
Shabbat is not considered Jewish I
understand it's not nice to hear if
you it's not nice to hear it's not nice
to hear that if you say when you it
actually can hurt the person that's
dead not helped
them because your prayer is considered
to disgusting to
Hashem disgusting it's not that's not
that's not nice to hear it's not
politically
correct but it's not my business
it's not my business what's not nice to
hear what's my business this what it
says Hashem said
it you have to decide for yourself what
you want to
do why because hem is going to
constantly approach you in your life
show himself in your life over and over
again sometimes it's through amazing
Miracles as we were saying in the
beginning of the
sh so show you amazing miracles
business
success learning success marriage
success child success all types of
saving your life in countless
ways if you don't listen to the
success something else
comes that's the opposite of
success and difficult te's begin
marriage problems child problems the
opposite opposite of everything you want
opposite of everything we want
sicknesses this that
why because you didn't put the laws in
front of
you now if you went to a
rabbi and this so-called Rabbi with a
nice long beard from here to the door
and a hat and a black and white suit and
everything is great and he tells you n
don't worry about it yeah no just say
for next week don't worry about you
don't have to do CH all Jews
have hem loves you you could be a cof
whenever you want you can curse him if
you want you can do whatever you want
just give to our uh
organization don't worry about it that's
not a that's
a that's
amalik I spoke to two big rabbis very
big rabbis very very
big in this this week one in Israel one
in America I figured let's balance it
out the
one in
Israel when I told them what's going on
was oh no that's not R that's not that's
not rabbis
that's that's
Amal Amal the one that we read about a
couple of weeks ago go went to war with
us that hasem
promised that he's going to destroy them
at the end of
times part of them are in our
nation goes yeah that's them they have a
beard right yeah yeah they have a beard
black and white hat yeah black and white
hat yeah yeah they could be
also says it in the
Torah could be part of our nation when
hasm gave the blessing to AB know he
says your your descendants can be either
like the stars or the sand
the stars is the
potential the
sand is the
opposite the one in America says no no
those are complete secular they're not
even Jew they're not even I don't even
know if they're Jewish even those people
either way they're completely secular
they're
completely I'm not talking about some
average guy I spoke to I'm talking about
big big people big rabbis no those
rabbis those those uh
Dam you don't even you can't even say
that they're religious
why look what they're doing telling
people it's no big deal to go against
Hashem so people waste their entire life
with this illusion now no one knows how
long they have in this world they don't
know if they have 30 years or they have
100 years they tell them okay they ask
him okay did you conduct your business
honestly no I didn't know I have to
conduct my business honestly I thought
that you could steal from all the GU as
long as you don't steal from the from
the Jews okay no that's wrong okay uh
did you keep Shabbat did you keep do no
no I didn't keep it why no I had to go
to the beach I had to go to the casino I
had to do this I had to do that only
Mitzvah by mitvah it did feel in I
thought that was enough well no no
that's not that's not correct
either and he keeps answering the wrong
against who told you all of this oh my
Rabbi my Rabbi told me
this there's no end to the gome that
this Rabbi is going to get into but
unfortunately the guy that's up there
also can't fix anything
he's also in a problem because you're
not allowed to be ignorant you're not
allowed to just say no I didn't know why
because you spent years and years
studying for school to get a degree to
be a doctor to be a lawyer to be an
accountant to be something you spent
years and years learning about the Pol
political situation in America or in or
in a Israel and understanding who's
favorite who's not before you vote for
for Bush for you vote for Trump for
Obama for DH for all these people
you studied your sports team you know
everything about everybody up to the
point that you know the salary cap of
the team and how much everybody
makes no I can't believe this coach is
firing this guy the salary cap is going
to go over that what hours and hours
people spend on
this you know what is
nonsense okay you want to spend time on
nonsense fine enjoy yourself you have 24
hours in a day you want to spend two
three four five hours a day on nonsense
fine have a good time but what about the
stuff that's really
important you show up there and you
don't have any of it you can't use that
as an
excuse and the rabbi that misled
you
because this
week's hasem
says no discounts and I'll get you to
the verse in a few minutes
so in the beginning of
this we learned different rules from
the we just got the Ten Commandments
last
week now we're seeing how Hashem didn't
really mean that there's only 10 mitv
that we have to keep we're already
learning that these 10 mitv break into
613 and part of them we're going to get
during this week's par and obviously the
rest we're going to get through the rest
of the
Tora the first thing the first subject
that we get is they talk about Jewish
slavery now we're not going to go over
every single mitvah in this week's
because that will probably take about 10
hours but we'll talk over a few of them
that are generally controversial because
that's usually the most uh interesting
topics so when people want to go against
the Torah
they try to find arguments that don't
don't make sense to
them
so someone I know a good friend of
mine mayem help him do chuva
amen one time he tells me you really
believe in this Torah of yours said
Yes sounds like a silly question yeah
said yes he says yes so you tell me do
you agree with slavery
you agree with
slavery I said based on the toah
yes now how is it to us says that
slavery is allowed when we were
ourselves
slaves in
Egypt the reason why it says it is
because the slavery that we're thinking
of and the slavery that's in Tora two
different types of
slavery it's it's not the
same and the second verse of this T
says so talking about a Jewish
slave work for you for six years and on
the seventh year you shall Go free so
first of all it's telling you that it
cannot be a slave
forever six years he could be a slave
for you for six years on a 70 you have
to release him later on it says that if
this slave wants to
stay he has the option he has the option
to stay but he gets a punishment they
make a uh take a um bore a hole in his
ear which and the reason why is because
this ear was supposed to hear the things
that hasem said to us in Mountain
saai Hashem said I am your only God
you work for me you're my servants
instead of being my servants to go
do keep Shabbat kosher all those things
you chose to be a servant of my servant
because you can't do all of the mitv
when you're a
slave you have the same level of
observance as a woman that is not
obligated with all of the mitv like a
man is because she has a high high
responsibility of taking care of the
house MH
so when someone chooses makes a foolish
decision of choosing to continue being a
slave they punish him the court punishes
him makes a hole in his ear to remind
him that he's not listening to hem and
what Hashem really wants him to do is to
be a servant of Hashem not a servant of
mankind but even then it's not forever
it's until the next Jubilee
year and then you have to be released
there's no way stay 54 years no it's 15
years 15 years from the time it gets 15
years ju
year the next
year yeah but he already stayed there
for seven years okay if he decides after
seven years to stay so he has to stay
for another
seven they Max bur year maximum sentence
so or 14 yeah the 15th year the 15th
year so that's after 14 years the 15th
year
so maximum is the 15th year you're
leaving one way you can't be a slave
forever one way or even if you're crazy
and foolish and so on you still can't
stay sleep forever but the qu it still
doesn't answer our question how could a
to toally Divine full of
love also judgment but love too even the
judgment is from love how could it say
that slavery is allowed that's when we
have to look at
the to understand
it's and it's even in amen amen who
becomes see you got you got you got a
thousand right
there so who becomes a
slave a couple of
options
someone who
stole someone who stole
money and he got
caught but he doesn't have the money
anymore and there's no way of returning
it the only way of returning it is by
selling himself as a
slave excuse me no
choice or someone that's in dear poverty
and no has no other way to make a living
and offer himself as a slave he offer
himself as a slave to
survive this is not the same type of
slavery that we know of so now let's
compare someone that's a thief that's
really what they're talking about here
someone that's that stole and got caught
instead of going to
jail he became a
slave in today's
world someone that's a thief goes to
jail I actually saw this on a post by a
a very good organization that's kir h h
a i s h
h and uh someone goes to
jail and uh
he's a
thief stole I don't know some uh robbed
a uh local grocery
store they sent him to jail for 6 years
right who's in
jail yeah the murderer the thief the
bigger thief the one that robbed banks
mhm the guy that's a con
artist all the you know worst people on
Earth are also there with him so after
16 years after 6 years he's in there he
leaves but he has new
skills now no one's going to want to
hire him because he went to jail for six
years he's got a right so he has what
options he have to go back to what he
did before but he says wait a minute why
should I just go rob a local grocery
store I learned from the banker the the
guy that bank I learned from the best I
learned from the guy from that robbed
all the investors I learned the guy the
guy robbed the bank I learned the guy
learned from the guy that murdered
people in case anybody got smart with me
I learned from the con artist to even
get in and maybe become an employee and
do all so he became a much bigger much
bigger
criminal based on the Judgment that we
have in this world today that's against
the
Torah so what does Torah says sending
him to jail to go learn more crime is
not going to help society and it's not
going to help his life what do we have
to do we have to help him get back on
his feet yes he stole money
yes he made a mistake but we're going to
make him do Chua so first of all it's a
mitvah to take this person
in why because you have to treat him
really well if you eat a certain food
you have to give him the same food if
there's only one pillow in the house you
have to give it to
him your bed has to be just as
comfortable as his can't have a better
bed than his that's what they said
someone that gets himself a slave in
Judaism is like someone got thems a boss
it's not slavery like we think like what
they did m to the black people or what
they did to or many other people
throughout the world even to this day
it's not the same type of this is divine
slavery this is what Hashem
says no and if you hurt this
slave you hurt the slave he
leaves ask a question pring to today's
terms uh-huh somebody gets a lady a
living in their house uh-huh does it
pertain to the same rules no it's not
she's not a slave you're paying
her so she doesn't have she's an
employee she's an employee she's an
employee she's just she's cleaning your
house she's uh uh watching the kids
you're paying her a slave doesn't get
paid so you're not really violating
anything by giving her lesser of a bed
than yours or no she's not a slave a
slave doesn't get paid a slave you
bought you own him or her you own them
for six years they do you know without
payment only when they leave once they
leave on the on the seventh year they
leave you can't just let them go okay
you six years you work you have nothing
on the seventh year you have to give
them gifts they can't just walk away
with nothing M go back to the streets
maybe become a bank robber no that's
today in t if to leave let them leave
with gifts and
honor that's the sleeve in the tah you
understand so so what happens when
people say no what you believe in this
Tora like my friend said you believe in
this to it says slavery what happens
lack of lack of knowledge when someone
doesn't know it's easy to look at a to
in a negative way but when you look at
the inside details you see how beautiful
it is what's going to happen to this guy
this guy's going to be a slave for six
years but he's got good treatment has a
nice bed he has a uh he didn't have
anything he was broke or he was a thief
nobody wanted to give him a job 6 years
he learns from a sadik how to do chuva 6
years he's doing things to build himself
back up and when he leaves he's going to
leave with something he's building
himself back up in
society that's the difference that's
actually why they even had the second
rule of saying that if this what if this
guy doesn't want to leave what slave do
you know in history didn't want to
leave why would anybody even have a rule
like that don't leave it's like somebody
says no what if the guy doesn't want to
leave
jail even though some people are crazy
enough and they don't they can't uh fit
in public Society they still tried
everyone wants to leave here he's saying
no no in case he doesn't want to leave
why would I why would they even have a
rule in the Torah of somebody that
wouldn't want to leave someone because
it it happened anything that's written
to it's because it happened get Tre it
like that they got a good uh good
situation in
there moving on to some of the other
rules in
the El elzar is one of the uh most
righteous person people that ever lived
I'm
saying of course he was is one of the
most righteous people that ever lived I
believe he's one of the 10 people that
went to
Alive like he didn't die he didn't die
he went to another one
is and another one is
actually uh
umu which actually reminds
meak that
so
now is one of 10
people
that got to such a high level it talk
about in
the he didn't die natural death he went
to like this why how could he do that
body Soul someone that can
sanctify his body to such a high level
could literally get to a point where the
body and the soul the same
thing obviously this is very
rare he's one of 10 people throughout
the billions and billions of people that
have ever lived in
history so one day says in a
uh I'm walking in a street he says and I
seei is also one of the 10 people
turned into an angel and I see comes to
me Andi says to
me do you want me to take you on a
tour to show you what happens in
Gom and I said
yes so he takes me to
Gom there seven places in Gom we're not
going to go over all the details we've
said some small part in the
past why are we connecting it to
this this I also heard
from it's in this
book if you ever want to learn about and
get uh really really scared and develop
some
serious
learn could get a free get free
it's very difficult to get by the way
actually this is a borrowed copy from uh
from my friend uh my
friend anyone has this book you know
it's not my book so you can't say I'm
aik I borrowed it from aik some people
read this book high
level Shilo Shilo is his son his son led
to me Sheil
son
so he says
it takes me to Gom to the tour and I see
all of these Sinners all of these Wicked
people all of them are hanging and they
can't move and he tells different
stories about each one but he says one
of them I get to a
level was a section of Thieves people
that
stole the people are stole are sitting
there they tied up and these Wicked
angels are taking beach
sand beach sand you know beach sand
beach sand turns into glass that's how
you make glass beach sand and they're
feeding them over and over again Force
feeding them beach sand and all of their
teeth are breaking and they're bleeding
Non-Stop and they're trying to stop
they're trying to move their head they
don't want to eat
this so they're
saying Wicked all your life you were
stealing and taking things that are not
yours now that we're giving you things
for free you don't want
it said
this this tells us a few things first of
all
stealing comes in many forms it's not
just going to the store robbing the
store it could also being being a work
in
business overcharging your customers
when you
know you shouldn't do it the guy made a
mistake being uh selling him a
lemon you know the car is garbage used
car is garbage does it's going to break
in a week but you're selling them like
it's a brand new
car or selling them you know being being
an dishonest business person
unfortunately this is a sin that's very
common
today and gazel is a very big problem
why kazal says to us that gazel is the
only thing that cannot be fixed in
Gom you cannot complete the fixing of of
gazel of of stealing in Gom why because
there's three levels to the punishment
of gazel someone steals
$1,000 they think that they have more
money and first punishment is in this
world how hasem takes 2,000 from you
sometime will pass a week a month a year
five years at some point or another
you're going to lose
$2,000 you're going to think it's an
accident you're going to think it's
something else whe it's going to be a
medical bill that you didn't expect car
breaks down all of these things
sometimes when you see people all of a
sudden have all these unexpected bills
and they go into financial hardship it's
usually a sign that the money they made
wasn't necessarily honest or sometimes
just a test from Hashem but nonetheless
if we're getting it ourselves really is
what we should look
at so that's the first one second one is
what we just talked about what said
that's the second punishment have to go
up there and pay the
bill the third need to come back you
have to give back the
money now you dead how you going to give
back the money is still in this world
you uh you stole from him $1,000 50
years
ago you have to come back
reincarnation that's a problem why CUA
already is 70 years old you come back as
a baby you can't give him back
$1,000 you have to wait he has to die
both of you have to come
back now if someone keeps the entire Tor
entire T but he's stole
money stole money at some point he has
to return to pay this money
back they cannot allow him no someone
that stole money will never be allowed
into ganeden he could do he could become
a big sadik stole money at the Gate of
ganeden they said do not enter sorry you
have a stain you have to
fix you have to come back this is a
problem so now what happens if someone
stole from you someone borrowed money
from you and didn't pay you back that's
also
stealing somebody somebody somebody
somebody that borrowed money from
somebody borrowed money from you
borrowed $1,000 from you okay and he had
the ability to pay you back he had the
ability to pay you back but he chose not
to pay you back you know one of these
people that just
doesn't doesn't care about anybody
doesn't pay you back the money $1,000
$500,000 it's all the
same the best thing that you can do
he
say forgive the money why because if
you're doing CH you're doing you're
going to get to a point where you earn
yourself a nice Penthouse in geden you
want to show up at geden you want to get
in you say I'm sorry you you're okay but
the other guy stole money from you the
only way that he can fix himself is if
he gives you the money back if you're
here he can't give it back to you so you
have to go back also
what mhm so what do you say no but once
you're already over there you can't say
I can't do it so what do you say in this
world someone stole money from you you
say I forgive him let hem let hem take
care of it why because once you forgive
him you don't have to come
back on he has a buil to pay yes okay so
speaking of this I I land it wasn't it
wasn't $1,000 it was 100 bucks and he
says you can give it back to me and then
he just recently called me a little bit
ago and he says oh I didn't forget you
but I'm going to give it back to you so
he keeps on saying that buy more time so
what should I say should I just forgive
him and that's it you don't necessarily
need to tell him that you forgive him
you don't need to tell him that you for
him not to him but to yourself you could
say talk to Hashem say
Hashem I don't uh you know I forgive him
in case in case one of us a uh gets the
Judgment day before the other I don't
want the money from him if he gives me
the money he gives me the money but I
forgive him I don't want to come back
here as a
g you know I forgive
him uh so you don't have to tell him
that you don't have to tell the guy
money that talk to talk to so the in
that case the guy who took the money
what happened to he still has to pay the
bill the first two steps still continue
two
steps you would have to probably pay
somebody else and somewhere or
another have to pay somebody else to pay
your debt to somebody else pay your kids
maybe pay your descendants he still oh
no he's he has serious problems now oh
that's since we don't have that much
time before the end we really can't
depend on Gil we can't really depend on
reincarnation so it's better to just not
steal it's better not to steal
okay so now so now this is again we
understand that Ste is not a joke in a
to it's a people think no it's this it's
not it's not a big deal it is being an
honest business person that's the first
you know there's a few questions tell us
it's the first few questions they're
going to ask you in Judgment Day when
you go up
there after 120 and your full complete
s um they're going to ask you did you
conduct your business honestly it's the
first thing why why are they asking you
can you did you conduct your business
honestly and not did you conduct your uh
synagogue Affairs
honestly the reason
why this is actually also in this book
over here Jewish wisdom business success
very good book about
business business I think it's maybe in
the first few chapters but anyway it's
also all over the and so on that's where
they get it
from why are they asking about business
honesty instead of synagogue
honesty because synagogue everyone can
pretend they're sadik you wouldn't
know in the morning
in everyone that puts their talit on top
of their head they look like they're
mosu is minimum everybody's a little
minu all the great wow
everybody praying with the
sway okay he's talking to somebody in
the middle while he's swaying but
doesn't matter he looks like a sadik
anyway right
can you tell somebody's not no can't
unless he's an outright r that just
there to joke around and talks during
the but generally you can
tell it's very easy to hide
with you could look like you care and
you go on the board of directors or you
become a treasurer of the Beet why
because you're stealing
money you're given the contract of theet
coincidentally to you you or your
friends this happens a lot by the way
happens in churches has the besset the
the uh theft in religious
organizations has has happened since the
beginning of
time no one actually cares about the
organization that much they really want
to be there okay because there's
benefits talking about the big
organization small local B that has
$5,000 budget who cares no one you know
that's because usually people care about
about the organization want to build it
usually the big organizations there's
money involved one way or another
anyway be you can identify who's
righteous who's not business you can why
because the way someone conducts their
business is going to always show their
true
colors if that person has a lot of
people that hate
him has to be something wrong that's a
bad s if his customers all hate him has
a bad rep constantly if it's oh listen
there's always you do enough business
you're going to have lawsuits you're
going to have problems the more business
you do the more problems you're going to
have or constantly changes the names of
the business yeah listen whatever it is
whe it's sometimes they change it for
organizational reasons sometimes they
change it because of other reasons point
is if that there's a lot of unhappy
people around them unhappy vendors
unhappy customers unhappy lawsuits
that's not good it's not a good sign to
say the least but if you do a lot of
business which in the past we had a lot
of experience of doing business I can
tell you that I never stole a penny in
my life but if you look at my record for
example I have a couple people that sued
me I have a couple people that sued me
now obviously if you see the outcome of
the lawsuit you see that obviously that
lawsuit was complete garbage they just
wanted to sue me because I had a lot of
money and they wanted it but the point
is if you the more business you do
you're going to have lawsuits doesn't
mean just because someone got suit
doesn't mean they
rash mm
just because someone didn't get sued
doesn't mean they're a sadik either but
the point is that you could identify who
someone is based more on their business
Affairs that based on their religious
Affairs as far as how they act in front
of people what about a employer of
somebody that basically doesn't conduct
his business right someone that has
employees has to conduct their business
right they have to pay on time no no I
mean forget about the way he conducts
his business with employees the way he
treats his customers as as or his po get
affected by his
dishonesty should they work for somebody
like that no no it's actually this is
actually in this in this week's we'll
get to it it says it
says from lies you have to distance
yourself away from which by the way out
of all of the sins that we have all of
the we have in the
Tor which is lies is the only thing that
Hashem specifically says not only not to
do it but to distance yourself from
it why why do you mean distance yourself
from it he says lies I hate liars so
much hasem is telling us this I hate
liars so much I don't even want you to
be next to them or anything that has to
do with lies keep your distance from
them why because it could only lead to
bad so a business person that's un
dishonest you know he sells garbage to
the public as if it's brand new mhm you
know he sells garbage to the public as
if it's uh you know you know good stuff
from now you're not allowed to associate
with a person like that at all you have
to be complete other than trying to make
help him do CH you have nothing to do
with this person you cannot have
anything to do with this
person it's a uh you have to stay away
from it in a in a very very big way
um the uh let me see also says
it says in uh chapter 23 verse 6 and 7
do not pervert the
Judgment oh no I'm sorry uh verse seven
distance yourself
237 sh distance yourself from a false
word from lies do not execute the
innocent or the righteous for I shall
not exonerate the wicked now this is a
few things we have to learn from here
first and foremost is we're not allowed
to be next to Liars or associate
ourselves with liars and second of all
is for anyone out there that thinks that
you know what Hashem loves everyone all
Jews have a share to the world to come
all of that stuff this verse should
answer that question and that that
misconception that people have when it
says there's no such thing as a rash in
ganeden no such thing I will never make
the rash into you know benefit like the
the
righteous so this is outright verse this
is not my interpretation this is what it
says after this it says
it says do not accept the bribe for the
bribe will blind those who see and
corrupt words that are just someone that
we're just talking about someone that's
in a position of power has the ability
to rule favorably for his
friend not allowed even even just
remember this even if let's say
someone's a
judge and there's one guy that's rich
and one guy that's poor now it's obvious
the rich guy is really right no he
didn't violate the poor guy is wrong but
he says listen this rich guy has so much
money what's the big deal if I give this
poor guy a million
dollars he's not going to feel it he has
a billion dollars so I give this little
poor guy a new life I give him a lot of
ticket
no not
not allowed why because you
are changing the Torah
judging changing the Tora you're taking
aem's decisions into your hands hasem
wanted them to be poor let them be
poorm wanted to be rich he's going to be
rich hm decides not
you next thing is
okay it says also about the uh says a
few other things a
second find
it okay we talking about the ax in a
second the
ax oh it's over here it's over here so
now when someone
has a situation that they have have a
uh an
animal they have an
animal they have any type of property
they have a dog they have a ax they have
a uh machine
MH they can't just
act like a uh freely and whatever
happens happens and you know everybody
has to suffer the consequences of their
own
uh you know irresponsive
ability so here it says that if someone
has an
ax and the
ax kill
somebody now if this
ax never killed anybody before and he's
not
known to be a
killer then the person
that's uh as the owner of the Y has to
pay for part of the
expenses if he injured somebody or even
if he injured another ax he has to pay
for half the expenses for the first
three violations first three times that
he does it this ax does it or this dog
does something he has to pay for the
medical
expenses he has to pay for the loss of
time loss of work mhm and also the
humiliation so from here by the
way we learned that uh the the law in uh
in uh courts today when they make
judgments a big part of rewards today
when someone wins a case whether it's a
criminal case or a civil case a big part
of the reward usually is called punitive
damages so there's let's say for example
someone made another business lose money
mhm false advertisement stole product
for them stole a pantent whatever
whatever it is is and the company sued
them so part of the reward that the
company that that lost money out of this
whole deal is going to win part of the
money they're going to Lo they're going
to get is from the actual damages
themselves they lost uh you know
employees they lost product they lost
customers and so on but a larger part is
is called punitive
damages uh and the punitive damages also
comes from the the form of
humiliation you know cuz humiliation you
can't really put a a value on it so how
do you explain it in a nice way and in a
way that you could
understand now let's say there is a very
famous
newscaster or and
someone maliciously goes against this
person MH and destroys his
reputation now if he destroys his
reputation
versus he destroys the reputation of the
local
plumber local plumber it's two different
reputations the Plummer he was making 60
70 80,000 a year doing Plumbing work and
most in most cases even after he lost
his reputation if he goes somewhere else
he could probably rebuild again over
time but this newscaster that's making
15 20 million a year his reputation is
everything and most likely he'll never
be able to get a job again
so that's called punitive
damages so when it comes to punitive
damages you can see it it's from this
week's
par anything that's any good in the
world we always say it comes from the
Torah so now if somebody had an ax that
injured someone first three times they
have to pay half the
damages after that after the ax has been
known already to be a dangerous animal
after
not only does the ox have to die but
there's a death penalty on the person a
Heavenly death penalty on the
person why because you knew that your
animal or your your equipment or your
dog or whatever it was was a psychopath
mhm when you know that your animal is
dangerous and has a dangerous not only
dangerous reputation like for example
how is this relevant to our generation
people that have pit bulls or dogs in
general they train them okay so you see
most common dog attacks that we see
today is usually from this breed
Pitbulls now generally the Pitbull is a
great animal a very very smart dog and
it's humans that ruin
them they're not natural Killers like
people think that don't have
pitbulls uh they're uh they're great
dogs they're very smart and they're very
very protective of their owners and
family they're very very friendly but
because they're agile and strong
animals crazy people that are vicious
train them to fight each other and and
pretty much train them to become vicious
animals because they want to win money
everything is usually some has some sort
of connection to money
unfortunately so the animal is trained
to become
vicious why because he has to be vicious
in order to kill something else or if
someone trains a guard dog someone wants
I don't know he has a how he wants a dog
to guard his house a guard dog has to be
an aggressive animal you can't have a
little uh animal that never barks be
your guard dog someone comes to my house
you it could be the biggest criminal in
the world Shalom comes to some house you
have a dog that sleeps all day he's not
going to do
anything you guys have seen my dog I
mean if he gets up to go eat it's a
miracle
already a little mtis won't do anything
no it doesn't matter the size of the dog
an aggressive dog is an aggressive dog
not allowed to have an aggressive dog
if he's bigger obviously he's aggressive
and dangerous if he's small and
aggressive then he's not dangerous he's
just aggressive but you not let to have
aggressive dogs an aggressive animal so
now if you train your dog to be a
vicious animal and he obviously has the
ability to inflict pain on somebody else
then you are at fault not the dog the
dog is Dog he's a dog if he was in the
wild he wouldn't be like this if you
went to a different normal owner but
someone has a brain and doesn't want
their dog to be an aggressive uh dog
then the dog will be
fine so if you know that this dog is
aggressive and one day Shalom the dog
attacks some little baby or some kid or
some woman or some friend that you have
and bites their face off or their ear
off it's your fault it's not the dog's
fault first of all the dog has to die
anyway because why because a human even
if it's a or anything else even if
it's a terrorist
that didn't come to attack he's just a
bad person okay it's a bad example
terrorist because technically terrorist
helps you you know you have to kill them
but anyway as far as if it's a wicked
person goes against hasem but the dog
attacks him you have to kill the dog
there's no second chance no no maybe
next time you won't kill no if same
thing with the ax is telling you the
animal has to die but if the animal was
known to be aggressive and the owner
ignored it the owner ignored it the
owner has a penalty from
sham they don't kill him in in real life
like here but he has a death penalty in
sham which means that he's buying every
day is a
miracle why because he caused death cuz
he should have when you know that you
have an aggressive animal you have to
watch it much more than a non-aggressive
anim animal killed huh if the animal
killed if the animal killed yes if the
animal didn't kill but if the animal
didn't kill if the animal didn't kill
but it hurt somebody else then the you
have to pay for the damages obviously
the animal has to be uh put away that's
happen with nebor but uh not uh you
don't there's no death penalty on the
person so now in this section one of the
things that makes me think about also is
that this is another part that has a
very very uh misunderstood term it's
misunderstood by a lot of
people it says in uh
verse
21 um 23
this is
23 uh 23 23 actually
mhm but if they were was if there shall
be a fatality someone died then you
shall award life for a
life someone died as a result of your
actions you have to pay with your life
you killed somebody there's a death
penalty but then after that it continues
an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth a
hand for a hand a foot for a foot a burn
for a burn a wound for a wound a bruise
for a bruise so what somebody that got
into a fight with somebody else and
punched him in the face and his ey fell
out so why he has to go to bed of rabal
bed and take his eye
out I'm sorry I was reading something
the question
for someone punched somebody they got
into a fight okay and the guy punched
him in the face and his eye came out
lost his eye shom right now over here it
says it says I for an i
so why he has to go to bed and say oh
yeah you took his eye out so we have to
take your eye
out even better question question second
question is what if he only has one
eye so if you take his one eye
technically yes he he made the other guy
lose an eye but he still has one eye
left but the guy that took the eye out
he has one eye so if he take his eye out
he has no vision so it's technically
it's not fair don't take his but it says
that
it says I for an i and if you ask every
common ignorant person they say that I
for an i means you you ask the
Arabs they tell you no you take an eye
we take an eye you take an arm we take
an arm take a tooth we take a tooth but
it's not what that means on it's
different it's the value you have to pay
monetary
value good so I got you back into this
good so that's so that's what it
actually means when it says I for an i
tooth for tooth hand for hand and ET ET
is that it has to be the monetary
value of the eye monetary value of the
tooth monetary value of the hand and so
on now it gives a lot of details Why
didn't it just say I for an ey and
that's it why does it say tooth for
tooth hand for hand foot for foot burn
for burn wound for wound bruise for a
bruise a lot of details over and over
it's the same thing if it's all money
the same thing what's the why do you
keep repeating the same thing different
value first of all yes obviously there's
a different value for the eye than there
is for a bruise there's different value
for the eye than for a foot but there's
also different value of an eye and a
foot to different people mhm now if
let's say for example one guy is a
plumber and
he loses his uh hand
or one guy is a
surgeon and he loses his
hand that's different value than someone
that's a mailman that loses his hand he
still he doesn't need two hands to
deliver the male but the guy that's a
plumber needs two hands the guy that's a
surgeon needs two
hands or a guy that's a pilot loses an
eye it's very different than a guy's
journalist journalist can still read
with one eye
the pilot can't fly with one
eye so the value of the Pilot's eye is
very
different than the value of the uh
journalist and so on so each one of
these things has a different value to
different
people and that's where it comes in as
far as punitive damages punitive damages
when it's telling you about punitive
damages here it's telling that's the
punitive damage that's the added damage
of the basic cost or value for an eye
one eye is worth a million
this ey is worth a million dollar both
eyes are worth a million dollar right
the plumber and the uh what's called the
journalist have uh you know a value for
a certain body
part but the punitive damage is is that
if the plumber loses his
hand it's much more significant than if
the journalist loses his
hand so that's the added damage on top
of it that you have to pay
hopefully you guys never ever get to
learn about these punative damages other
than not to win or to lose it's not
worth the headache but nonetheless is a
we see that the Torah has all of the Jew
the the laws of today have some type of
source uh from the
T now even more so you see how fair the
toah is if if someone has it says here B
if someone has a
uh makes a
hole makes a hole in the
ground and walks
away or someone just sees a hole in the
ground he doesn't cover it walks away
and somebody else is he walks with his
animal and they fall in the hole they
get a they get it
to and the animal dies
the person that's last there that saw
that there's a hole has to pay for
it why you're not allow to to to uh just
aay uh leave a dangerous condition
openly you knew there's a holder you
knew that it's a very dangerous spot put
a sign put something you have to be
conscience of the of the of the public
yeah you have to do something call call
somebody you have to do something about
it you can't just you know put leave a
dangerous condition that you know for
sure that somebody could miss it because
they're talking on their cell
phone and they fall in the hole die your
respon a Jew is responsible not just for
their own life responsible for
everything around them you think that
something like that apply St today of
course it does apply New York of course
it does someone someone that has for
example a he's doing remodeling on his
house you listening someone is doing
remodeling let's say it's applies to
your business okay someone is doing
remodeling on his house and obviously
the remodeling takes time okay and when
you do Remodeling on a on a house
usually there's dangerous places there's
a hole in the middle of the house and so
on but if let's say they're doing
remodeling on the outside and then you
know part of the remodeling there's
literally a hole in the
ground you're not allowed to just leave
the hole
exposed not just because of the law of
the land not allowed because of you know
government law but you're not allowed
based on tah why you putting people in
danger you have to cover it you have to
you know you have to make sure that
people are not uh at risk of falling in
there but today that's why you put a
sign of no trans no trespassing so
you're actually warning them not to come
onto the property you have to do as much
as possible to not but but that's that's
pertaining to you I'm talking about
you're walking down the street I see
your neighbor has a hole that he dug up
tomorrow he wants to put something in
that hole it's there I'm just going to
go close this hole it's in a public land
or it's in his land it's in his
property if it's in his property
nobody's going to walk on his property
if it's like saying right next to his
front door it's his his house it's
public you have to do something but it
doesn't specify whether it's public or
no no it says it says if it's public
property you have to say something
people have access to you in the r you
see in the middle of the street there is
a hole you have to do something about
it canot you cannot you dig a lot of
holes so make sure you leave a red Coes
you see a hole you continue so he was
the the last why this this also by the
way doing these things is Kem you you
when you bring attention to things like
this you're saving people's lives you're
sanctifying hashem's name it's not
really that big of a
deal um to get such
aah
so in chapter
22 which by the way just so you know the
the whole concept of chapters in the tah
is not a Jewish design it's actually a
Christian design it was Italian uh
printers Jewish uh that uh added
chapters to the tah meaning the whole
the Torah doesn't have chapters but they
wanted to make it more readable by their
people so they added chapters to break
it up sometimes you see that things
don't necessarily fit
well
anyway the
uh in Judaism if somebody here in
chapter 22 it says if a thief if the
thief is discovered while tunneling in
and he struck and dies there is no blood
guilt on this account
221 someone tries to to Rob somebody's
house and uh they're trying to get in
you killed them it's not a
sin trying to rob you cuz you're
protecting yourself and your family
right but then there's a contradiction
verse two says if the sun Shone upon him
there is blood glit up blood guilt on
his
account if the sun shown on him so I'll
read it in
Hebrew I'm
sorry
yeah okay explanation
translation someone tries to rob a
house you are allowed to kill
him why because as soon as he decided to
rob the
house if it's a you know he's hiding
it's the middle of the
night he's also in the back of his mind
realizing that there is a chance that
someone may be there and if there
someone that's may be there then you
know some something can happen happening
he's probably willing to kill you so
there's a law in the Tor it
says if someone comes to kill
you
huh if someone comes to kill you act
first and kill him first someone so when
someone is coming to rob a house in
essence they know in the back of their
mind there's a chance they're going to
kill you so you know it also you don't
know who this person is you're allowed
to kill him there's no blood on your
hands it's not a considered a sin you're
protecting yourself you're actually
doing a mitvah of killing somebody
before they kill you if they coming to
kill you but now there's a problem
here's a
contradiction it says that if the sun
Shone on him there is blood on your
account meaning that if he did it during
the day so he didn't expect you to there
there is a uh you're not allowed to kill
him but what do you mean so if a guy
comes to you with a into your house with
Uzi and you can shoot him first you
cannot to kill him they can't mean that
there's a mistake right there's no
mistake in the so what does it
mean in
uh deep deep
details okay details
details the Ranos and the ramban explain
it and they
say is that when when it says the the
sun shown on him it means that the light
shown on him but not just a physical
light it could be at night
also the sun only brings good to the
world he gets to see meaning that it's
someone good someone that you know for a
fact will never kill you how so let's
say someone's father wants to you know
is in a bad situation is going to rob
him you know the father's not going to
kill a
son so you're not have to kill
him or Kor is robbing his father you
know the kid's not going to kill his own
father it's very rare I mean other than
the Psychopaths we have living in this
generation in general it's not gonna
happen pretend or he's robbing in plain
in in plain daylight and there's a lot
of
witnesses there W everybody sees him
he's robbing the guy in front of
everyone there's a lot of witnesses
you're not allowed to kill him why
because you know he's going to get
caught shortly after now let to kill him
so that's what it means on one end when
is he's coming to kill you then you're
allowed on another end if if it's an
obvious situation where he's not going
to kill you he maybe he's going to rob
you in open and but he's not going to
kill you in the open then you're not
allow to kill him so if the th already
done stealing and he's on the way
out so basically he didn't kill you
basically you steal at night you get you
have a chance you're taking a chance
you're going to die you steal in the
daytime you know you're not going to die
but you're taking a chance you're going
to no no no if you're still in a daytime
but you come with an Uzi then you still
still allowed to kill
you to still allowed to kill you it's
about it's about the danger the sun the
sun sh shining on him doesn't
necessarily mean daylight or nighttime
it means the level of danger mean the
sunlight means whether he's a person
that's obviously has a possibility of
killing you or obviously not if it's
someone's brother or parent where they
have a normal relationship it's just
that one of them is really
greedy then they uh you know you don't
kill them but if it's someone that's a
uh you know I don't know mass murderer
and it's even coming in at night day
doesn't make a difference the stranger
that you don't know he comes in whether
stranger stranger you have no he's a
corrector yeah when he's a stranger you
have no reason to believe that he's not
there to kill you so so what's the
what's the punishment here as far as the
uh someone catches a thief they have to
pay double if someone gets caught and
they stole something they have to pay
double now in those days you know they
stole $1,000 they have to pay
$2,000 now in most cases you see that
people that are involved with stealing
or illegal money or even money that's
not ethical usually they don't have any
money one good example of it in this in
in our world today is
gamblers about uh a little over 10 years
ago early maybe I think it was even 2002
2003 the uh game of Texas holdom became
very very popular in uh around the world
in the United States and even though
it's already been a game that's been
played for for a long time but it became
much much more popular over the last
decade or so when on TV and so on so now
every uh every 20-year-old without
Direction and his life becomes a gambler
and goes to these casinos and finds a
way to win and some of them are you know
professional gamblers and they make a
lot of money and so on but I can tell
you from my own personal experience
where I played some poker in my life
it's the one common the
denominator of of of that gamblers have
in general one common denominator that
they all have is they never have any
money all the money is usually on the
table why because maybe they win playing
poker but they lose everywhere else they
lose on drugs they lose on uh girls they
lose on uh gambling and other uh crazy
things and youve seen guys that you know
you know they won $5 million $2 million
$3 million $10 million they have no
money and all the all the PO poker poker
players in general are like a band they
all lend each other money they live off
of credit their whole life I'm telling
you guys that played uh you know play
big big game and there's you know famous
stories of some of the best gamblers in
in in history how much of a disaster
their life was so when uh you see money
coming that way just the reason why I
mention it is because in Judaism and to
you're not allowed to
gamble you're not allowed to go to the
casino you're not allowed to gamble when
you play when you play when you uh play
against so someone says okay wait I'm
not allowed to gamble against the
casino fine cuz that's you know
disrespecting money and so on there's a
lot of sins with gambling it's also a
bad place to be with all types of that
you're not all to go inside the place
even and and a lot of back play lot of
there's a list there a whole Shield we
can do about gambling but let's say you
say listen what about if I just gamble
with my with my friends a lo you know a
uh a game with my friends I each guy
puts a couple hundred
dollar and we play Texas holdam 10 guys
two grand whoever wins gets two grand or
first place gets, 1500 Second Place gets
500 I'm telling you used to play poker
in the highest
level on my sins you used to $200 was
not even a hand I'm talking about what
you know tens of thousands or hundreds
of thousands on table play in the World
Series and so on so I've seen this
garbage in my life I didn't know it
wasn't allowed and so on but he he
doesn't wait Still Still comes out of
ignorance but let's say so that's okay
obviously putting $200,000 on a table
not allowed okay that you guys can
understand
right but what about $200 between
friends what about $200 between friends
G if you win you you beat your friend
it's consider like you stole his money
it's
Gaz it's apply also in the casino
exactly you go to casino you play Texas
holdom but what if his money what if his
friend says fair and square you know you
won and he's who makes the rules the
friend of God
what then the friend feels okay he feels
a little bit better because he said that
so it's like okay okay he feels better
but inside inside he should feel no one
that ever lost money in history ever
felt okay about it no one they could be
a they could be a good loser meaning
that they don't you know cause a scene
and uh become like a little girl they
suck inide you know but but they suffer
inside everyone that lose money whether
it's $5 or 500,000 it's everyone suffers
some form of suffering from losing money
right even if you lost money just going
to the store no one likes to lose money
even if someone's a billionaire and he
knows he had $300 in his pocket he's a
billionaire he knows he had $300 in his
pocket all a sudden he goes in his
pocket $300 is missing now $300 is not
even one day of interest for this guy
and he's not going to sleep but he's
going to suffer inside for losing $300
he's not going to sleep that night yeah
so now we have to understand that
gambling is a form of gazel not allowed
not allowed to not to go to those places
not allow to gamble at all this is very
very important to know because again
what we don't think is a big deal
well we don't think it's a big deal
whatever it's a bun of friends $200 the
guy's a millionaire what's $200 to him
it's not about what's $200 to him it's
about what hasem says AEM says it's not
loud so this is very very important to
know and uhm hopefully I bring enough
people to do chuva in my life that I
could pay for all the nonsense that I
did in my life uh and I can tell you
that it's a uh one thing I learned from
those people cuz at one point I actually
wanted to become a professional Gambler
I wanted to leave the investment
business and become profession profal
Gambler was a you know had talent and uh
and so on and um but then you see one
thing that's again one thing I saw is
number one they're all degenerates no
one ever has any
money and two it's disgusting lifestyle
everybody is just uh you know what you
see on TV is not real life like the
stuff you guys if you ever saw those
poker shows on TV that's not real life
the way it looks like in real life it's
much less
glamorous much less glamorous Mo most
people are degenerous they're wearing
their same clothes for the last 3 four 5
days you know they they they don't even
they barely even the only break they
take from the table they barely go to
the bathroom they don't know they don't
know what day of the weak it is
degenerous people become degenerous you
become it's a crack you ever see a
crackhead in your life that's what
gamblers are it's the same level of
disease addiction same same level of
disease so stay away from gambling even
for fun
the only form of gambling you are
allowed to
do is buy one one not five one according
to RAB Moshe Feinstein which one of
the one lot ticket one which is the
minimum allowed meaning meaning the
lowest amount so if the lot ticket is $1
you're only allowed to spend $1 or if
it's power it's $2 you're not allowed to
buy A51 $20 ticket $1 okay that's the
most you're allowed to do but not like
one and then an hour later you're buying
another one and then an hour later
you're buying another one no because the
way the game was going on so you're
allowed to to spend why cuz dollar is is
is not a meaningful amount of money it's
not going to change your life um and
it's in essence a uh permitted by the by
the AL but that's a form of gambling the
only form of gambling you are allowed to
do but even that you can see how
even the Restriction of what you're
allowed gives you an
idea of how bad the stuff that's not
allowed to do so if you're only allowed
to gamble $1 imagine what level of sin
is to gamble a $100 let alone a th000 or
5,000 or so
on so also you should know that uh the
uh several parts of the Tor and and
um uh it says that uh gambling leads to
poverty either through action or through
punishment so that's that's another
thing that uh someone needs to
understand okay we'll go try to brief
through a few other rules here there's a
lot more to cover but we'll try to you
know bre through it try to do as much as
possible go to chapter 22
verse um 177
someone is a sorcerer someone does
magic why does it so he
says say not it doesn't say that a
sorcerer gets the death penalty says
it's not even allowed to permit not even
permitted to live there's no Chua for
them someone plays with magic there's no
Chua for them they have you have to kill
them
why because people that make magic where
they don't tell you it's an illusion
they don't tell you that it's fake it's
just you know uh a trick when they tell
you it's literally their power which in
those days they had people like
that uh they're in essence going they're
trying to take control of Nature and
telling
people that they're greater than
God the on the ones that play with the
cards they uh they not allowed yeah not
allowed to do that stuff now there where
so now you see people in today's age in
today's age that also have some Powers
today not talking about just 2,000 years
ago today's age some people have some
powers where you could see that they do
things that are not natural now if they
obviously if they tell you it's an
illusion then you know it's just a magic
trick and it's a very fancy magic trick
but some people actually have powers
there's some stuff you could see on the
internet some guy from Japan there's a
uh few people in the state there's a few
people in the world that actually have
powers how do they get those
Powers we're not going to really get too
diff too too into it because they'll
probably get you to lose some sleep but
uh it's the power where they use uh
shim they use
demons they develop a relationship with
the with the impurity of demons and the
demons do their work
MH so you have to stay away from people
like that and from things like that you
know getting someone to you know come to
your little kid's birthday party and
take a bunny out of a hat that's fine
you know enjoy yourself as long as it's
disclosed that it's just a magic trick
that's fake but having someone that uses
you know impure Powers uh and having
them come to the birthday party is m a
danger it's not not
good uh next thing is
anyone who lies with an
animal anyone that lies with an animal
shall surely be put to
death someone that's now you guys think
obviously you guys are all normal you're
thinking why would anybody sleep with an
animal why would anybody have you know
intimate relationship with an animal a
goat YouTube so unfortunately this goes
on there's millions of people
millions of people in today's age that
are still sick people that have intimate
relations with animals it's called
bestiality it's a sickness it's
disgusting and according to the Tora
those people have to be put to death now
there's a one example in one of RAB M's
lectures he says this is very very
interesting you know food for thought if
a Torah says someone sleeps with an
animal has to get the death
penalty but not only does he get the
death penalty but the animal also dies
you have to kill the animal now
obviously the
guy who's sick in his head I could
understand why you put him in you know
get him out of his misery kill him I
understand but why are you killing the
animal what the animal do what the uh
cow shook it behind say come get me what
what what do the cow do because because
hem sees that animal present so he
doesn't want to he doesn't want to see Z
soem says I created the Heaven and the
Earth for this you know for my children
for these Jews and one of I have to
destroy one of my
children for this filthy animal so every
time I see it it reminds me of I lost
one of my
kids so this is this again this is
something that uh we need to understand
now why do I mention this particular
example why do I mention the extremity
of the punishment is because AEM
Compares beastiality Compares sleeping
with animals and the and the punishment
and
the that it is of being with an animal
is the same thing is
homosexuality same thing whether
somebody's with an animal with the same
sex is the same
thing unfortunately at some point I'm
sure all of us have known or know
someone that has problems with that and
it's a big test we've talked about it
before they have to overcome that desire
if they're not attracted to women if
they're a man then don't be with
anyone if the woman is not attracted to
men don't be with anyone that's the
solution you don't have to force
yourself to be with a man if you're a
woman and you don't have to force
yourself to be with a woman if you're a
man but you can stop yourself from being
with the same sex why because the
punishment according to to in his T is
the same level as someone that was with
an animal this is not politically
correct people don't like to hear it but
this is the
truth moving
on you see the special protection that
Hashem has twice in
this to
converts oh this is for idol worship at
first this is it says one who brings
offering to the God shall be destroyed
only to Hashem alone so it says that
someone that say does
AAR someone that does
a is uh wiped from this
world now if you notice we've talked
about this
before is that every time hasem talks
about and the punishment for for for
idol worship it's usually right next to
or very close to shabbat the violation
of
Shabbat because just
like beastality and homosexuality are
the same according to hashem's judgment
according to hashem's eyes idol worship
and violation of Shabbat are the same
thing if you want to look more into the
details of this I had a whole lecture in
New York uh talking about why hasem
looks at Shabbat as idol worship but
many times I've told you guys and this
this para talks about Shabbat I told you
I told you guys how the Tora over and
over says how someone would say Shabbat
is not considered Jewish so I have a
couple of sources for anyone that wants
to look
So it's talking about this
[Music]
is
translation someone that does a sin
intentionally just to
make Hashem
angry even if it's only one even if it's
only one thing just intentionally to
make
AEM or someone that is an idol
worshipper or connected to an idol
worshipper or someone that's violate
Shabbat drives on
Shabbat means in public you drive on
Shabbat that's in public unless you're
driving from your garage to your garage
that's in the same house you're you're
you drive a car anyone that thinks that
driving a car in public going to the
mall is not is living a dream an
illusion someone a VI violator of
Shabbat it's as
if he violated the entire
Torah this one sin one sin of violation
of Shabbat is as if he
violated all 6133
even if he keeps
mitv or 612 really he keep 612 me it's
not possible obviously for anybody to
keep all those mitv because not all of
them are relevant but it says he keeps
all of the mitv
except he drives on
Shabbat he's still
considered what's
Idol
worshiper Idol worshiper
someone it says in a considered Idol
worshipper this is this is not some uh
book I wrote
translation someone thatat is considered
non-jewish in every possible way
but not non-jewish where you can say
listen my mom is Jewish my dad is Jewish
but since I'm a viol of Shabbat then I'm
not Jewish anymore so then I could just
not keep the
laws not Jews are not not they're not
supposed to
uh keep the Shabbat or anything else no
it's not the same
thing the person that was born
non-jewish
born in uh Africa Mexico and all these
place not
Jewish he's not Jewish by
choice by not by his choice Shem created
him that way but someone that chooses to
violate the torat to classify himself as
a it's not the same type of Gentile why
because the person that's not Jewish the
Gentile that's not obligated by the
entire to he's obligated only thing he's
obligated for is by the seven law Noah
hide laws and all of the laws that are
common sense so it's not really seven
it's more than seven but it's all seven
laws plus the laws that are common sense
like respect your parents and so
on a person that's
Jewish that violates the law is not
considered a non-jewish person when it
says it's saying that he's a idol
worshipper the Gentile that's keeping
seven noahide laws he has a share
of he goes to he has a share of world to
come the
guy that is a Shabbat that's Jewish he
doesn't have a share to the world to
come not only does he have no share to
the world to come not only is he not
considered a Jew in this world he's
considered the idol worshipper and he
has a gandom that never never
ends ever
another source is third one now we'll
move on
this is the book
of he saysat someone violates
Shabbat either to anger AEM or because
he feels like
it is because he feels like it he's
hungry he wants to eat he has an
appetite to violate
Shabbat you are allowed to lend him
money with interest which this
says you're not allowed to lend money in
interest it's a Biblical
law of
course right so it's a Biblical law in
this week's
pal which starts verse uh
2224 when you lend money to my people
the poor person who is with you do not
act toward him as a creditor do not lay
interest upon him this is an outright
verse
it's a what's called it's interest
you're not allowed to charge a fellow
Jew
interest this a Biblical law is plain as
a get it's not a mid it's not a uh
understanding this is a Biblical law is
someone lends an interest has no share
of the world to come
mhm here the says not only you allowed
to you lend
this you're allowed to lend them with
interest why because he's not considered
part of this verse he's not considered
IM he's not considered part of your
nation why he's not considered part of
your nation he's not considered
Jewish not me you don't have to get mad
at me anybody that's watching
us but anybody watching it didn't do
Chua yet it's not me saying it's thear
seven places in all over the all over
the all over
everywhere it's everywhere not
considered Jewish not my I didn't say it
give me three sources this is just three
I have maybe a
thousand is considered the worst sinner
because he's considered an idol
worshiper so we need to understand that
now as far as
loans we're almost
done we need to understand that when
Hashem gives us
money he's giving us
money for us to use it for good causes
not for us
to go on lavish
vacations and buy big houses and fancy
cars and have five car garage while our
friends and family are are
suffering not
allowed when you have money and you have
the ability you don't even need to be a
millionaire you have the ability to lend
somebody money someone comes to you and
they need
money they need $1,000 they need
$100,000 whatever they need you have the
ability to give the
money you need to know that here it
says you are obligated to lend the money
not that you should you're obligated you
have to if you have the ability to lend
somebody money somebody comes to you
says listen I don't have money for the
rent you are obligated to give him money
as a form of but a higher level
than it
says save somebody's life somebody has
a has a decree from sham death penalty
they violated Shabbat they violated
something hasem decided it's time for
them to go that person last
minute gives $5 to a homeless guy gives
$5 to a local K guy learns Tor Shem says
that will save his life for the moment
but saves his
life will save your
life lending
money is higher
than they lending money to a Jew not
lending money to the bank or buying
bonds because you're lending money to
the government bonds when you buy bonds
the stocks there's bonds stocks is
you're buying a piece of a company bonds
is you're lending a company or or
government money that's what it
is a Jew comes to you that's in need you
have the ability to lend the money you
have to lend the money obviously this is
a righteous a he's not considered if
he's and all that
you he doesn't have the same obligation
you should anyway because in essence
what's what's hasm telling
you he's telling you
here comes for me
anyway he
says the Torah scholar is the
anyone that invest in
him he's happy you shouldn't say that
the the ETS is
Happy the t is Happy the one that got
the is happy not the investor is
happy not the guy that got the loan is
Happy it should be the guy that it
should be the guy that got the loan
that's Happy mhm not the guy the guy
that got should be happy not the guy
that invested or lend them the money no
hasem says
no when you give
someone he's going to get the money one
way or another why CU
a opens his hands and he gives every
little species what they need whether
it's the ant the worm the hair on your
head thead the r everyone gets the from
sh one way or another they're going to
get it
when you give someone that's in
need especially if that person is
dealing with
to you're the one that benefits he's
going to get it
anyway hasem is respon well you think
you're AEM he's going to get the P
anyway which in reality even though he
owes you he should still be thankful in
reality you're the only one that wins
out of
this he's going to get
anyway if it's decreed in
sham that he's going to
get the only choice that's being made by
you is whether you're going to be the
vessel that hasem uses or not and that's
why it
says the investor is the one that's
Happy gracious why because he's the one
that benefited by getting the mitvah
that's when he giv somebody that's
dealing with t but what about someone
that's dealing with loans
someone that lends money says you're
obligated to give money what about
someone that's deal that's lending money
how is he how is he happy when you're
lending money listen to this Tom listen
to this when you're lending money we
just said AEM is responsible for all of
P Hashem also put this person in a
desperate need in a situation where he
needs money hasem is still obligated to
give this person P when you lend him
money hasem says you're lending me money
you're helping
me do my
job so you don't have to worry about
charging him
interest no interest needed I'll pay you
the interest you don't have to worry
about if he has to pay you back yeah he
doesn't have to pay you back I'll pay
you
back if the benefit of giving Saka is
Big let lending money to to a Jew in
need is
bigger we need to know
that and not lending somebody money when
they're a need and you have the ability
when you have the ability to do it it's
a serious problem how do you know how do
you know what whether you have it or not
no how do you know if the guy really
needs it or not no he he come to you and
ask you today a lot of people come to it
doesn't matter everybody has their hand
up it's not a question
why do they why do somebody in need
comes to you during
prayer
okay I don't believe that you were ever
in
need so to understand the mindset of
someone that's in need that's in
poverty requires you to do something
that most people cannot do naturally
which is called empathize you have to
put yourself in their shoes
one time there was a uh poor person that
came
to a um I believe it was r
yashiv r
yashiv and
uh as
for he gave
him he said can you give me a little
more again more
give me a little
more he give him
more saw this
said nerve of this guy give a dollar go
away why you're getting
it Shalom this is a Son of God one of
the children of
hem he's a king you can't see it but
he's a king he knows that
he's part of the children of hasm he's
not going to be content for just one
thing but the explanation other than
that is that you have to understand when
someone is in dire
need
the mentality and and and the bush that
you already have to
experience asking people for help is so
devastating to get to a point of asking
somebody for
help asking somebody for a ride asking
somebody for a few dollars to you could
eat it's so devast so mentally and
emotionally and spiritually
devastating that your natural
senses and recognition of what is normal
gets thrown out because getting to a
point where you are you have to
eliminate your entire
ego to go ask somebody for change forget
about asking somebody for change in like
a homeless
personal talk about asking somebody for
a loan to pay I don't know your mortgage
or even less asking somebody for a ride
to work before you ask somebody for a
ride to work unless you're really really
good friends you think about it twice
why cuz you have Bu you're yeah ask N I
don't want any favors from
anybody right you don't want nobody I'll
drive myself I'll take a cab no why call
your friend he lives next door he's
going to take you to work no no no I
don't want I'll take a
cab that's for a ride you're thinking
twice so imagine a guy doesn't have any
food to
eat doesn't have any food to eat me
skin he comes to you please give me a
dollar give me $2 give me a
quarter just so I can eat can pay my
bills I can live a life like a normal
person the devastation that that person
is already dealing
with first of all the most important
thing we have to do is eliminate any
from that person not not obligate him in
anything when it comes to when they come
how they come if they ask if they ask
twice if they ask for more because we
have to empathize and put ourselves in
our shoes if we had kids at home little
babies at
home the heat just got turned off
because we didn't pay the electric the
little babies are starving the little
babies are
freezing no father in the world can see
his kids in that situation and we have
to go to the local synagogue ask for
money so I could turn the alert Chic on
would you would you think about how
you're asking and when you're asking
probably not why cuz the person that
you're asking from he's busy with his
life he just made a $10,000 deal he's
thinking about the other deal he's
thinking about this he's thinking about
that he's thinking about all these
things all you're thinking
about my kids are
starving I'm starving I haven't eaten in
a few
days one
time a sadik which I forget his name I
remember it this is no I'm thinking it
and they think I me they will get more I
there's anything they're just coming and
they're not recognizing but it's the
world around them it's the same thing
all the time that's when they're there
every day that's when they're there
every day do not every person some
people some people yes some people no
honestly when it comes to people asking
for money whenever they ask for it how
they ask for it if they're this if
they're that especially if they're
Jewish we have to we have to empathize
and do something thing I'll tell you
guys two stories and then we'll finish
so you understand how treat these people
the same
rash one
time this book is fantastic you guys
should really get
it
um I get the right rabbi's name I'm
pretty sure it's RAB yes
she almost
certain one time a uh he was yet a very
obviously very very busy Rabbi and uh
the driver was outside his house waiting
for him and uh right before he gets into
the car waiting you know getting going
to a very serious meeting homeless guy
comes up to
him and uh you know ask him for some
money but starts talking to
him and uh a poor person starts talking
to him and the rabbi talks to him okay 1
minute two minutes you know we have to
go if you ever been around a very big
Rabbi they're not usually you know uh
they don't have time they have to go
they have to do
things so the tamim are you know
watching this you know one minute two
minutes three minutes and they're trying
to like get this guy to go already but
they see the rabbi continuing to talk
and then they're about trying to tell
the guy that okay the rabbi has to go
the Rabbi says no no no I'm talking here
and he continues to talk to the
guy after 10
minutes after 10
minutes the the rabbi excuses himself so
had a nice
conversation and they say
goodbye so goes into the car and
obviously they you know when you're next
to aik one of the most important things
that somebody needs to do in their life
as part of their Torah learnings to
connect themselves to a sadik see how
they
act so they asked the rabbi
by what was that all about 10 minutes
you spend you know you don't usually
spend 10 minutes with even people
that no learn from this part of my
obligation
of was listening to
him and making him giving him the
feeling that I believe everything he
says is very important because the time
I spent with him talking to him meant a
lot more to him than the money I could
ever give him and it's part of my
obligation
of giving somebody some
money you gave some but talking to him
giving him a sandwich spending your time
with him making him feel
important that's the real that's
the that's going to be one of two things
that's going to save us when the mashia
comes when they say and are the two
things they're going to save us when the
mashia comes that's spend time with
somebody they come they ask for
something don't just tell here $20 go go
go go
go bring them in give him coffee talk to
them treat them like a human being just
because they don't have any
money doesn't mean they're any less of a
human being than
you one of the big
sages and then we'll finish it give you
the last story and then you let you guys
get some sleep unless you want to listen
to some
more but one of the
sages went to one of the
Rothchilds Rothchilds have a a big
family but there's a lot of good
stories and it
was he needed to come up with
money a lot of
money
to help these uh poor
people Rabbi says I'm going going to go
myself go collect the
money now this was in the middle of
winter freezing
snow just like it it is right now in New
York or what it was a a week ago M
freezing he goes to his house he knocks
on the
door you know the servant comes out the
butler comes out yes yes how can I help
you I need to see the head of the house
oh come in come in he goes no no no I'll
stay here he stays
outside I stay here this is his Rabbi
this is a R's Rabbi
mhm please please come in no no no I'm
going stay here so the butler goes gets
the balabit gets the
rild and he comes
out he says hey come in come in the
rabbi immediately starts talk talking
about what is going on these people are
so poor they're outside they're
suffering they're this they're this okay
okay Rabbi come in come inside come in
and he continues the rabbi ignores him
continues talking about more so now both
of them are outside door is open you
know the F go outside it's freezing and
he continues talking and talking and
talking and talking 25
minutes he's talking to him and the door
is open he's freezing
so the r child says to him Rabbi
whatever you want I'll give you the
money just come inside he goes now I can
come
inside he goes inside and they sit down
they get warm coffee heat up Rabbi has
been outside for a long time and rild
also for a long time after they warm up
a little bit yes RAB I give you whatever
you
need but I have to ask you a question
Rabbi says
what why couldn't you tell me everything
you told me
inside and the and sadik says
this I wanted you to feel the same way
they
feel because the only way that you could
open your heart to someone
is if you put yourself in a situation
where you feel just like
them when I told you the story if I
would have told you inside about these
little kids being outside in the cold
you're in your big
mansion you don't feel the
cold but when you're outside even for 20
minutes and you know how cold it is then
you feel that pain then your heart will
acted this is our job in this world to
bring light to the
Nations the only way we could bring
light to the Nations is number one
following what the Torah
says just like it
says in verse
2313 be careful regarding everything I
have said to you not
something not just this first 30
mitv not uh just milk and meat in the
house but Pizza outside from a place
that sells
kazil all of the MIT says call call call
means everything there's no other
translation be careful he says
that is the way that we can become
righteous
ourself once we become righteous
ourself then we're going to have the
ability to
empathize if we're able to empathize and
put ourselves in other people's
shoes it makes AEM closer to us because
if we're worry
enough about his mitv that's good but if
we're not only worried about his mitv
but we're also worrying and taking care
of his
children to take care of them give
them lend them money help them do chv
give them a disc bring them to
a if we
do that's why when hasm falls in love
with us and that's when we can have a
very very deep connection with
him so through his T we could
see his cre the Creator's
creation and develop a very very deep
relationship with him to the
point we not only care so much about the
relationship we have with him but also
about the rest of his creations and
bring light to the Nations our nation
and the rest of the world
any any
questions amen
