Prophecy of the Tower of Babel & the Return of Israel - Jeremy Gimpel: The Land of Israel Fellowship

and there's you know another message in the in in this parsha and it really interplays with shabbat because the world is built out of a family started with adam and eve that didn't go then it's noah and then it's abraham and sarah it's constantly built on families but here we see like a mirror or a window into society into humanity as a whole the whole world is built on the foundation of families the families are building blocks for something greater ultimately we need to build a fellowship we need to build a society a country we need to build a kingdom and here at the end of the partial we have the story of humanity's first attempt to come together and in some ways the story is a shadow of the messianic era all humanity is united with a mission a common language building together but then you look closer and they came together for the wrong reasons the wrong intentions leaving us with this timeless message the people of the earth came together the midrash says they came together to wage war against god they wanted to be masters of their own fate it's like why is the tower symbolic of a war against god it's like maybe they wanted to show that they could conquer the heavens but maybe the tower was made to make their name great monument of human achievement but i think the stories are juxtaposed for a reason man wanted to do what man wants to do and what happens when man hearts turns evil and they start doing what they want to do they learned that a flood will come ah so what do we do now we can do whatever we want and we got a tower to run to let the floods come we're going to build a tower up to heavens we're going to do whatever we want because we're going to be the masters of our own fate now they have a tower to escape to so they came together in the first unity in mankind but their unity was really based out of fear fear of this flood well if their unity is based out of fear you don't even need to destroy them just confuse their tongues and the whole thing will fall apart and we see that's exactly what happened now we see this vision of the end of days the jewish people returning from the four corners of the earth all speaking different languages coming together as a model for the world to see the people of israel began rebuilding the land of israel not out of fear but out of vision and courage and now from that foundation a new unity is being formed we can finally see the final unity in our generation look at this fellowship it's like over 35 countries now from so many different backgrounds creating a common language based on hebrew like zephaniah said based on the spirit and the values of the bible that bring us all together there's a spirit that's uniting all of us and it's not fear it's not coveted it's the opposite it's a vision for redemption it's a desire to build god's kingdom on earth it's a desire to bring blessing and light into the world and how amazing that this fellowship is one of the most marvelous arcs i've ever seen in the world an example of families that are building their own arcs that are coming together to bring you new you a new unity into the world it's like pioneering a way for all believers to come together to learn together to pray together to raise our families with the values of the bible as our foundation to celebrate shabbat together you know and as israel continues to grow stronger believers around the world will continue to grow stronger and more united and what's bringing us together isn't fear but it's our thirst for truth a love of god a desire to spread more light and blessing into the world that is the mirror image toward the good toward the final fixing of the tower of babel and we are so lucky to be alive to see it to be a part of it to actually be
