So there is a machlokes in the Gemara as to what caused him to go off. There could be a reason that we weren't sure about. So the Gemara tells us it's instructive so that we should also be careful uh in our generation from these things that perhaps could be a question to people. One is of course that he witnessed the uh fall of the ladder sulam ra'ui hayah. There was a rickety ladder and person was going up in order to be mekayem the mitzvas shiluach haken. One of the mitzvos that we know of arichas yamim that a person gets long life. Yet the person had a mishap and they fell down and they died. Chutzpis ha meturgeman was one of the greatest tzadikim. What he did was he used to be metargem, he used to explain all of the shiurim. He used to explain all of the torahs so that people could understand it and he had a very good dibur that people would be drawn to him and he increased the Torah learning in the world. However, Acher saw that it was nebach muteles ba'ashpa, that the tongue was cut off and it was cast into a ashpa, into the trash. When he saw it, he said peh shehefich margolios, the tongue that used to express such pearls of wisdom, it should go yelak afar, it should lick the dust. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that it's not b'hula yoda, he didn't realize l'man yita lo b'olam shekulo toy, that the the great gift, the great brochos that we are promised are not only for this world, but certainly for the tzadikim v'noshanim tzadikim v'noshanim in the next world. That's the ikar that they dream of she tzadikim yoshvim v'atrasos b'rosham v'nedanim v'hashchina, that they have great great pleasure from the shchina that time. It's not so much this world. There's an interesting peirush Shuly Adof. The Shuly Adof says here we have two types of kfira. One type of kfira is very simple. He took a look at the pasuk and he says, "Wait a minute, l'man yita lo b'rach yamim, it should have been long life. And the guy didn't have long life. Hey, what's going on with the Sukkot? He began to have analytical problems with the Sukkot, not being able to understand it in his own mind. So then he went off. Others say no, the fear was different. The fear was he looking different at different things in life, different occurrences. And when he was seeing an occurrence, it didn't measure up. And he would see some solid Russia with a table right away asking. Those are two in them that a person has to be very careful. I don't know what I'm meaning. The name I'm meaning we are great my meaning. We know that everything goes according to Hashem's plan, whether we understand it, whether we don't understand it. And we all ask for the day we actually have a shiny nickel toy that Hashem will redeem the entire world, especially Erase Israel in their current situation.
