Rabbi, Where Was God During The Holocaust?!

okay I um I'm a second generation for Holocaust when uh the Holocaust when the sh happened my father said where was God when he killed my entire family and he became an orphan at a very young age how can he or I how can we start theing we always got then well this is the question that so many hoca survivors go through and uh that's why I brought the holy Torah here to tell us that this is not something happened all of a sudden this is God warned us from years before it's in the Torah and uh as believing Jews we know that this world is only a pathway to the world to come and in scheme of time it's like you go to a dentist and he pulls out the needle to give that overan everybody shutters and puts it your gums especially hits a nerve then you feel terrible pain so why does the person do it for I don't want pain so why do you get a shot for person goes to the hospital and has to have this ganging foot amputated so what are you doing that for you're going through pain because it's worth the pain for those few seconds in order to be able to be able to eat normally afterwards in order to be able to live normally afterwards so a person is willing to endure pain for a short time in order for in the long run for many hours days or weeks and months afterwards will'll be enjoying life and that's how we look at this world this world compared to Eternity is not let even like a few seconds if we compare this world to A Thousand Years to a million years this we we live forever afterwards we live eternally so when we go through this world it's like a shadow of Nova even it's difficult for us to Bear but we have to know that God's preparing us for the world to come and then we'll look back just like the sh it was worth it even though it was terrible pain we went through but God knows what he's doing and uh we as Believers we know that this is not a world in itself this is not the end of life there's no end of life our our soul will live forever and that would pain we went through will be forgotten and even when we're going through it it's difficult to to to Bear but still we have to have a and believe inem King David says in Psalms what God will bring the Redemption it'll bring the world to come we look back it'll be like a bad dream happened before but bad dreams will get over but it's something very difficult to live through but we have the right amuna that this world is only stepping stone to the world to come they were able to like many people went through the Holocaust and they are very uh strong strong Jewish people because they believe that God knows what he's doing and uh ultimately we will appreciate what happen just like a child gets a hit by a parent and the parent makes the child cry but ultimately the child appreciates what the father parent did for them because was with it for their good and the ultimately will understand why God did what he did they bring a parable to understand talking about families that were destroyed since terrible uh wickedness that Jews had to suffer through they bring that you have a woman who's pregnant she has twins inside and uh they're there for nine months and they're with each other very good brothers and have everything they need the food and the warmth and some wonderful uh place for them to be together and all of a sudden one of them is born goes out the other one is so upset what happened to him he was here had such a good life over here all the food he needed the warmth everything is wonderful and he gone so that one that stays inside is so upset what happened to his brother and realistically speaking what happened he's born in the world he came out that's what he's in there for to come out be in the world to be grow up to accomplish to do the one inside doesn't nothing about that he he just knows what his world is inside not realizing what really life is all about the same way we live in this world we think this is it and then if somebody dies you oh it's a terrible thing the person die dying is not a terrible thing dying is is really what we're here for to live for a short time he died in our and soul lives forever and that's we Coast get together with our families from before lose our family in this world but we get together with our family our grandparents great-grandparents all it's it's a reunion in the other world the the Eternal world so we look at somebody that leaves the world as if the worst thing in the world happened to them we're the ones that are the baby inside is is really very limited and doesn't have no life's all about they think that's the main life but he's so limited and and so not knowledgeable the same way it comes to this world people think because we're so used to it we think all around us seems to be this is it and this is what what we we created for but that's not really the truth as as as uh as God-fearing believing Jews we know that the main thing is the world to come the Hereafter not this world this world is only a a a thoroughfare on road to something greater something more important so we talk about the people dying and they come to the other world they're happier they're looking back what are you so upset about the thing that we're much better off than you are we're in the world in the real world you're in the fake world this the world of of of of of of of she falseness of of wickedness they're in the real world of truth of honesty of of greatness of of elevation so we can't be uh very uh a a to involved in our life in this world that we shouldn't realize that this is not what it's all about this is not the is not the purpose the real purpose of the world is the world to come not not this world so we looking at think those terms we believe that with a real belief so don't see the tragedy is as the same it's a tragedy but not an eternal Eternal tragedy it's a it's a it's a uh temporary tragedy that we have to live through but that's what God has in mind for us much something much greater nobody lives forever and people who die earlier we feel bad but we have to realize that where they went to much better world that we're living in over here they better off than we are so after after thought to bring out and point a little bit more
