now going to begin with a story right
are we going to begin with a story we
still have a lot coming we have riddles
we have to deal with the riddles we have
questions and answers we have more
stories we're going to do a special
meditation today but I'm right now going
to begin with a story and I'm beginning
with this story cuz somebody just sent
it to me literally ten minutes ago and I
really appreciated the story it meant so
much so I want to begin with this story
dear kindle ah again you could text your
questions eight four five seven seventy
seven forty seven forty seven or if you
want a shout out please we'd love to see
your presents eight four five seven
seventy seven forty seven forty seven so
a friend of mine
rabbi blooming rabbi Zalman blooming
sent me this story just literally a few
minutes ago and I wonder I want to read
it to you as you know Jews in the Soviet
Union in Russia were stuck behind the
Iron Curtain for decades
once the Communists took over Russia
they did not allow anybody to leave and
it was very hard to come in and get out
very few people can leave that crazy
country where Judaism was uprooted and
where every vestige of religion was
decimated and destroyed it was under the
leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev the
leader of the Soviet Union when the iron
curtain
opened up you're too young to remember
but some of us remember 1989 when the
Berlin Wall fell there was a big wall in
Berlin in Germany dividing West Germany
from East Germany East Germany was under
the Communists and West Germany was
democratic and there was freedom there
and enjoy the symbol of that day when
the Berlin Wall fell was unforgettable
it represented a new era that came into
the world and during that year 1989 1990
communism fell the doors of the Soviet
Union opened and hundreds of thousands
ultimately millions of Jews and non-jews
left the Soviet Union many of them made
a yacht to the Holy Land territory so
many of them came to America and to
other countries many of them came to
Europe a big community actually went to
Germany more than a million Jews came to
Eretz Israel more than 1 million Jews
and it was a big question about the
Jewish identity of many of them remember
that for 70 years they weren't allowed
to be Jewish there were no Jewish
schools there were very very few shalls'
and only older people would go because
there were spies everywhere if you would
go you they were informed upon you you
could lose your job be sent to Siberia
it was it was a living purgatory
so in terms of marriage who's Jewish
who's not Jewish it became a problem and
when the Jews were coming tired too
strong in 1990 1991 1992 this was a very
difficult task to figure out who's
Jewish
there was a Jew he was 42 years old he
came in to the rabbinic court of
tel-aviv in the Holy Land and he wanted
authentification today it's
authenticating proving that he's a Jew
at that as the head of the Jewish Court
of the besten was somebody whom I'm
privileged to know and call a teacher
and a mentor many of you know him rabbi
you saw Mayer Lolita a bistro mayor Lau
was for many years the chief rabbi of
Tel Aviv later the chief rabbi of Israel
- Ken as a chief
back to Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv rabbi
Larabee saw may allow was sitting as the
rabbi as deriving the Russia of best in
the head of the court in Tel Aviv and he
was the one who was speaking to this 42
year old Russian drew said he was Jewish
the man brought two witnesses one
witness testified that he was at his
bris forty-two years earlier the second
witness who he brought was another Jew
came from the Soviet Union to Israel
this was a kebab closet an elderly man
and older jeweler bhavacakra suit and he
shared the following story with Rabbi
Israel mayor Lau and he said I don't
know this man personally I did know his
mother and I want to tell you something
about his mother she ran a department in
one of the big hospitals in Moscow one
of the hospitals in Moscow his mother
ran one of the departments in the
hospital she was Jewish
she was completely not religious she was
not observant she was not a same
material mitzvahs
but there was one Mitzvah that she stuck
to tenaciously she would not give up on
that Mitzvah one Mitzvah that she
clunked to with every fiber of her being
and let me tell you about her then in
those days smoking was much more popular
than it's now today people are much more
aware of the dangers of smoking it's
very unhealthy to smoke it's not good
for the lungs especially a person needs
an immune system that's powerful and
smoking is not good for the person then
it wasn't so known and there were a lot
a lot of smokers men and women
especially in Russia there were lots and
lots of smokers she used to smoke every
day two packs of cigarettes at night she
would take one cigarette and place it
quietly under her bed she had a box a
treasure chest which she used to put
every night one cigarette that she left
over she didn't smoke she
put it in that box in excess she did
this every single night of the year
after Purim she would gather 365
cigarettes because every night she put
away one how many days are there in the
year 365 so each year
ultimately she compiled in that box 365
cigarettes
it was after Purim she would collect the
365 cigarettes and she would bring them
to my home this Habad closet is telling
her a bylaw at Tel Aviv in 1990 she
would bring all these cigarettes to my
home I used to sell these cigarettes on
what's called the black market in Russia
there was a black market which meant the
illegal market because if you tried to
do business the regular legal way it was
very very hard to make any income
because it was a communist system a
socialist communist system where you
were allowed to own almost nothing
everything you had to get from the
government so people were so
poverty-stricken so there was something
called a black market so this lebara
chocolate as rabble I used to sell these
cigarettes cigarettes were a precious
commodity I sold them on the black
market and with the money that I got I
bought quite a few pounds of flour and
then I used to prepare my oven cash in
my oven and use this flour knead them
with water and start baking
beautiful beautiful maps of a basis
which I knew has no issue with comments
who did I bake the Motta's for her she
would buy the sicker she would get the
cigarettes give them to me I sold them
with the money I got great flour and I
baked her moths every single year which
I would deliver to her house before
paisa rabbi Lau here's the story this is
the second witness who is trying to
prove that this man her son is Jewish
he asked the man is your mother still
alive he's 42 years old mother ma says
my mother's alive can I speak to her yes
then you could score Russia got the
number called his mother from the court
in Tel Aviv rabbi his thrall may allow
got on the phone with this woman and
these are the words he told her he said
you know the difference between you and
me I am rabbi Lau the chief rabbi of Tel
Aviv let me tell you the difference I
celebrate the night of Pesach
I celebrate the Seder of Pesach one
night a year you have been celebrating
Pesach Seder night 365 nights a year
that's the difference between you and I
for me
Pesach is one night to say there is one
night for you every night was to say the
night this story tells you about the
nature of our people the nature of their
faith of their commitment of their
mysterious nefesh and of their love for
their people for their story for their
tradition for their ancestors for their
God for their faith not an easy times
for decades every night she thought
about one night and that was to say the
night now you understand what it means I
am adding the Mishna says many of you
Linda miss Esther broca's my steering
it's es miss Ryan by Leila's we
mentioned utsa mitzrayim every day and
every night it's one of the first
passages we say in the Haggadah we
mentioned you'd see us miss Ryan by day
and by night right the Haggadah says I'm
where Blas abanazar yeah how did I learn
this we learn it out from the Montes
skirt cm seis Khmer it's Mitzrayim
kirlyam a fire the passage says and
varam you should remember the day you
left mitzrayim all the days of your life
why couldn't they just say you should
remember you'd see as much rhyme
throughout the days of your life
the days of your life means all the days
of your life so he says you may
haha yeoman curly america yes aloha via
Leila's the days of your life represents
daytime during the days of my life every
day of my life I remember you'd see us
miss Ryan
I remember our liberation from Egypt
call you my sciatica teaches me not only
during the days also during the nights
of my life so we just mentioned you'd
see us Messiah for this woman literally
every single night she sacrificed to
remember it's yes mister I am to prepare
for the Seder
to put away that cigarette sir shall be
able to have matzah for Pesach and you
know on a deeper level
there is daytime and there's nighttime
daytime is when the sun is shining when
things are bright when it's clear you
could walk outside and you see exactly
where you're going
nighttime is a time of darkness if
there's no light outside if it's dark I
can fall I can trip I can stumble I can
stumble on a rock I can fall into a
little ditch or a little hole day time
is a time of darkness there is confusion
there's uncertainty I can see clearly my
path it's easy to remember gula in the
time of day but the Mitzvah is and this
is how we opened the Hagaddah and Pesach
o marabella's abanazar iya I finally
learned the source to mention you'd see
us betray him at night he's not only
talking about the technical mitzvot
he's also talking about the experience
that even in a time of night even in a
time of confusion even in a time of
uncertainty even in a time when there's
darkness even in a time when people
don't know exactly what is happening and
what is going to happen even in a time
of fear
and even in a time of deep deep
challenge that caught everybody off
guard the Jewish people know we are I'm
Seri they are eV
we are a nation that survived the
greatest swords we still remember UTS
mitzrayim every single day and every
single night we're a nation that always
is connected to Google always is
connected to redemption even when the
Sun has set and one does not see light
we still believe in
we hope for redemption we pray for
redemption and a part of us remains
always in a state of redemption in a
state of gula in a state of serenity and
in a state of trust and in a state of
courage and in a state of confidence and
in the state of resolve and this is
where we are today this is the story I
wanted to share with you and open up for
you
friends Kindle love you could text your
questions to eight four five seven
seventy seven forty seven forty seven
and if you want a shout-out please text
your name your your your age the city
where you're from your brothers names
your sisters names to us eight four five
seven seven seven forty-seven 47 and you
will find your name basil Hashem
scrolled during this program right here
on our screens I want to welcome
everybody who's watching us from all
over the world you know I thought to
myself is it right to have a children's
program today and then in a few days on
Thursday and next Sunday and then I
thought to myself I realized isn't this
exactly what Martha that I did during
the decree when hummin gave a decree
against the Jewish people you know when
it happened you'd give all this and you
could look in the Megillah on the 13th
of Nissen Herman had the King sign a
decree to exterminate Ramona let's not
every Jew man woman and child in all
over the 127 provinces of akashi Irish
what did Martha Zion Esther do Esther
did what if she had to do naturally she
would ruin got dressed up and she went
to the king and she threw a party and
then she threw another party and she got
the King leopard thickened frail and
there was a lot of drinking and hummin
came to the parties she did what she had
to do according to the natural
circumstances to get our surveyors to
execute hummin and to ultimately cancel
the de Korean allow the Jewish people to
defend themselves but what did Martha
hide the Martha fair as a Jewish leader
at the commandment of Esther who said
noises coli you heard them gather all of
the Jews and I'm sorry and be xuxa and
fast and Davin and do Trueba and
Mordechai himself the Midrash says in
McGillis Esther gathered who
together he gathered all of the Jewish
children he gathered 22,000 Jewish
children from the whole world and
together they were learning and together
they were dominating and together they
were celebrating life and because it was
Pesach because the decree came out a day
before Erev Pesach they were learning
the whole office of the carbon Eimer the
halacha of the carbon that they would
bring on the second day of payza every
year in the base our mixers - Zionists
and known as the carbon Omer they would
take barley did you know Kindle actually
would harvest the barley from a field
you have the sole barley you saw
pictures of barley we didn't grow up on
farm so many of us don't know what real
barley looks like they would harvest
barley stalks of barley get the kernels
out grind the kernels into flour put the
flour through a sister so that the flour
would be thin and and and clean and
refined they put it through 13 sifters
13 times they sifted the flour and then
the Cohen took a part of the flour no
one has an ax serious ax ay for the
volume of 43.2 eggs that was the volume
of flour that he took the Kunin took a
fistful of that flour of climates he
would put it in his hand take with his
hand from the Kayle from the vessel a
fist full of flour the second finger the
index finger the middle finger and the
fourth finger near the pinky would cover
the flour and with the thumb and with
the pinky he would remove the flour on
the sides a little bit of this flower
this flower under the three fingers in
the fist was burnt on the MS baya on the
OLT in the base of McNish and the rest
was baked of course as matzah and the
Cohanim would eat it in the base
hamikdash as matzah on the second day of
Pesach and that's when we started to
count Spheeris Homer Omer is the
measurement of the flour that was used
for this carbon it's called carbon iron
and that's when we count 49 days from
that day all the way till 49 days and
then comes Luis and from that day they
were allowed to eat all the fresh grain
that started to
now in the fields during the time of
Pesach today of course we don't have a
base a mixer so we don't bring the
carbonyl myrrh but we still do smear
asaram right after we count we say hi
Roth come on no Yahoo's are long
elevators based on mr. slim climb of am
here be a main or main seller may Hashem
return us to this work to the service
and the base I'm English our main
forever so that way we won't only count
but will also actually bring this year
the carbon Eimer of Spheeris armor this
is what Martha guy was teaching the
children this is what Martha was
teaching the children and the adults the
Gemara says and McKinley taught this to
the adults also during that time and the
children saw Amon coming and they would
not leave Martha fact they remained
connected this was the power that Martha
if I understood with the Jewish soldier
so here we also come together everybody
children from around the world I'm gonna
ask you all to give a little sadaqa
after this program and add in your davon
ink and add in your learning and add in
your mitzvos and add in your Alice
Easter all and the power that the Jewish
people have when we're United when we're
connected when we are uplifted when we
are inspired is incredible it's infinite
it goes back from the beginning of time
and it continues till to day so I'm
going to ask you all of you to relax now
a lot of questions came in about people
being anxious and afraid and sad and
these are all very very normal emotions
you're a human being if you're feeling
all these feelings you're in good
company I'm also anxious I'm also not
having an easy day it's a hard time for
everybody for every person for every Jew
there's not a human being whose life has
not been turned over in some way by this
some people in some ways and some people
in much more drastic and serious ways
but everybody's life has been affected
I want to do a little meditation with
you Kendall ah sit up in your chairs or
wherever you're sitting in your couch
and your chair I don't know where you
are and your couch and your dining room
and your living room in your family room
on the fool it excuse me on the floor
but I'm gonna ask you all to sit
comfortably sit comfortably and close
your eyes and try to take a deep breath
a deep breath through your nose inhale
and slowly exhale through your mouth
let's do it again can they lock slowly
inhale through your nose and then slowly
exhale through your mouth just try to
relax my dearest boys and my dearest
girls we love you all so so much and we
all feel so connected and let's do it
once again
and again a deep breath in and exhale
[Music]
now I'm going to ask you my dear
children try to feel your body try to
feel the parts of your body
can you bring attention quietly and
calmly to the top of your head the top
of your head right here are you feeling
anything there are you feeling any
tension on the top of your head then
you're here or is it relaxed be very
quiet and calm and try to feel what is
happening right there on top of your
head now come down a little bit to your
neck how was your neck feeling are you
feeling tight in your neck are you
feeling tension in your neck if you are
try to take a deep breath and allow it
to relax do the same with your teeth
with your jaws your cheeks with your
back your upper back your lower back let
it all relax
and if it's not relaxed just acknowledge
it with compassion don't get upset at it
just breathe into it
notice your hands can you bring your
mind and focus on your two hands near
you or on you do you feel tension in
your hands can you relax them and even
if you can't relax them can you just be
fine with your hands being the way they
are how about your stomach your heart
your chest your knees your legs and your
feet can you bring your minds attention
to them help them relax or just breathe
into them and be fine if they're not
relaxed don't judge them and what about
your emotions my dick in the lot are you
feeling fear are you feeling dread are
you feeling panic are you feeling anger
are you feeling pain do you feel clogged
up do you feel like clogged up you're
stuffed up do you feel this and where do
you feel these emotions and which part
of you do you feel them in your neck in
your back in your chest do you feel a
lump in your throat do you feel it in
your head do you feel it in your feet
where do you feel it can you tell it and
give it permission to relax and even if
not give it permission just to be the
way it is can you notice there Kendall
ah can you notice that there is an eye
that is aware of this pain or these
feelings right I'm aware
that I'm anxious that I'm scared that
I'm stuffed up I am aware of it that
means I am NOT the anxiety I am NOT the
fear I'm noticing it I am aware of it
it's sitting inside of me but it's not
me can you notice that and Who am I who
is the I that's observing all of this
who is the I there is an eye inside of
all of this and this I can contain it
and your eye and my eye you don't have
to be afraid of it you don't have to be
afraid of any emotions that you're
having it's all normal you're a human
being it's a difficult time you're stuck
in the house for a long time your
parents may be afraid then you're
feeling it you may be afraid you may be
angry you may have so many questions
you're not sure you have so many
beautiful plans that are not working out
it's fine can you accept that and know
right now that your eye your deepest
deepest eye is fine you know why it's
fine because it's one with Hashem and it
could contain everything you have inside
of you it's one with infinity it's one
with a reality that is unlimited
I want you to take another for deep
breaths and try to tell this to yourself
in a very relaxed and compassionate and
non-judgmental way
breathe in through your nose hold it for
a few seconds and then breathe out
through your mouth
and I want you to remember our sages say
coil hana Shama
- hallelujah hallelujah every soul is
thankful Taschen the word neshama comes
from the word Enoshima which means
breath I'll call the shamone Shima every
breath is another miracle in the making
every time I breathe so many things have
to happen in my body and I'm grateful
for every breath and I want my breath to
be able to be included with your breath
and - Shama to be one with your neshama
and help all the neshamah sabri DH
whoever needs help breathing should be
able to breathe and now together with me
I wanted Arvind I wanted Arvind from the
depth of your hearts the depth of my

that we're going to send something
special to your home I know we still
have to get to the riddles of last time
so many answers came in but here's the
new riddle for today's program
Pesach is coming and during the Seder we
do so many different things okay so
we're going to ask two questions about
two Seder
these are the two questions of the day
question number one I'm going to go
through one two three four five six
seven eight nine nine things we do
during the Seder and I want you to
answer this question each one of them do
we do it because it's a mitzvah min ha
Tara it's a biblical commandment which
we call a diary so the himesh tells us
to do it moisture a bane who told us to
do it from Hashem is that the reason we
do it is it a mitzvah there are bonham
it's the rabbi's and the sages and later
generations who instituted it or is it a
minute a custom which means it's not an
obligation just a custom that's been
practiced for many years in many
communities so we're going to go through
nine items and I want you to be able to
tell me about each item is it minatoya
is it a biblical commandment does it
come from the Torah is it madera Bonham
is it something that the rabbi's
instituted later in history or is it a
miniature custom which means it's not an
apple
not from the trailer and not Madeira
Bannen but it came later in history
number 1 kiddush the Kidder's that we
say when we come home tired to contain
from soul MouseMan kids we say kid is
that kiddush is it midnight parameter up
on it or a minute next four cups of wine
next item has Sabre reclining you know
we take the pillow only recline and I
left slide when we eat them we drink
next item matzah we eat matzah is this
minute or is it made their eponymous in
a minute what about Mauro next arises
what about saying the Haggadah saying
that I gotta what is that
how about dipping the egg in the water
in the salt water we dip the egg people
before the meal deep that the bragging
eat it and the last question is what
about God God eeeh God God God God all
these things minute Raider made their
opponent or a minute oh one more falling
asleep just talking
there's no mitzvah to fall asleep
there's no mitzvah to fall asleep ok so
I'm gonna say the items again saying
kiddush drinking 4 cups of wine
reclining matzah morin khuur Isis saying
the Hagaddah dipping the egg in water
and singing at the end like many do had
Gardea God God yeah that's question
number one you could text in your
answers to eight four five seven seventy
seven forty seven forty seven whoever
gets all of them right we're going to
get God willingly neither your home
address and send you a special treat one
last question this is a little more
difficult kinder life but I know some of
you will have brilliant answers so
here's my next face of question and that
is this we know that I'm Pesach there's
a mitzvah to tell the story of UTSA
Mitzrayim to ourselves and to our
children we gather to live in huts as in
parishes
I tell the story to your son tell the
story to your child and that's why I'm
pasted that we sit down by the Seder and
we say the Haggadah
I just gave one of the answers and we
tell the story of leaving Egypt to all
of our children right now if you had to
write the Haggadah if you if my Shura
Boehner came to you or rebbi akiva came
to you or review dynasty came to you and
said you I am
Yankee mati David Sarah hiya
rifka I want you to prepare the Haggadah
we have to make something that we're all
going to do at the Seder night and you
say what should it be
and I'm gonna tell you it should be the
story of your tears miss Ryan the story
of the Jewish people going out of Egypt
what's the text that you would have
chosen what is the text that you can do
like what I've chosen I think the best
text would be we have this story where
do we have this story many of you
learned in an amish parish mice patches
ver era parshas boy partial smudge tells
the story of the Jews went into Egypt
parishes way that tells the story of the
plagues and parishes boy tells the story
how they came out of mitzrayim shouldn't
we open the Commish on the night of
pacer and read through that story read
through smize for area and boy it's a
beautiful story how Perry enslaved the
Jewish people how the Jews cried out how
much she came to power and he said let
my people go no no no I will not let
them go no no no I will not let them go
King Perry and then the blood and the
frogs and the lice and all the ten
plagues and then the Jews came out of
Egypt we have it in Hamish do we read
these parshas by the Seder night we
don't we don't
why not Candela why don't
didn't they choose for the gardener this
story from kamesh instead you know what
they chose instead they chose parshas
kiss of a much later income --is-- when
a Jew and
straw would bring a basket of ripe
fruits every year you would go into your
garden or your field and fill up a
basket with the new fruits new
pomegranates and new grapes and new figs
and new dates and no olives and you
would bring it to your shall I him and
give it to the Cayenne after suus it was
called bickerin and when you brought the
basket of fruits to the current in the
base of McNish you would say briefly the
story of UTSA mitzrayim you would speak
about how he went down to Egypt and we
were enslaved and we had hard labor and
I Shem heard our cry and he took us out
with an outstretched arm that's what you
say when you bring the basket of fruits
after service and the Haggadah repeats
those sukham and explains them and it's
so funny because instead of using this
story of ETS retirement commish we used
the suka much later of a Jew who was
living in Eric Cicero and brought the
basket of fruits to the base of McNish
and he said this brief history of ETS
which I am in a few look him and it
wasn't even on pacer it had to be after
slowest why did they chose parshas
cassava where the story is recounted by
the person bringing the fruits rather
than the story and partial Schmeiser
area and boy kinder laughs that's the
second question you can text in your
answers eight four five seven seven
seven forty seven forty seven we will
address these questions in the next
programs we still have a program next
Thursday at 4:00 and next Sunday at four
o'clock p.m. right here on values Sheva
that net we also could see the previous
programs this is our fourth one we had
one last what's today
I'm confused today is Sunday we had one
last Thursday we had one a week ago
Sunday we had one two weeks ago Thursday
they're all on the Shiva that net we
took a lot a lot of questions and we
tried to give some answers and we told a
lot of stories then we had some other
riddles so please feel free to go and
watch the other ones
and now my dearest dearest Kindle ah my
dearest Kindle ah I am going to shear
one story and then we're gonna take some
questions that I keep on coming in and
then I want to share another story
and then we'll take another few
questions and another few answers the
A's they're Hashem so let me tell you a
beautiful beautiful story it's a sad
story but it's also a beautiful store
it's a very powerful message the story
goes like this
there was a Jew his name was a Menachem
Mendel of Vitebsk Vitebsk is a city in
belarus belarus is a section of the
large country of russia's called belarus
they used to call it white Russia he
came from Vitebsk madmen de lavit Epps
care he's also known by some as an of
Menachem Mendel of horrid ahora duck is
another city where he also lived he
wrote a safer called pre Horus the fruit
of the land and he was one of the
greatest students of the maggot of miss
rich to Deborah Deborah Deborah Meza rev
Dave bear of Miss rich he lived in
Russia as I said but he in the 1770s
made aliyah to arity strong area stroll
then was under the turks under the adam
and empire and he took a large group of
Hassidim from Russia and Lithuania and
they went up to Eretz East row this was
the famous Alya in the year tough
kilometers I in 1777 around 1777 and he
settled in the holy city of tavera
Tiberias in the year tov Kaufman love
1786 there was a pandemic there was a
plague there was a it seems like a
horrible infection or virus then they
knew very little bit about this because
they didn't have the microscopes that
showed them what a virus is because
you can see it with your eyes but the
consequences were there but they didn't
always understand what is happening it's
not like today we understand a vision
that's happening but we understand more
and medicine
thank God has progressed so
significantly so that we could save more
lives but we see how much we don't know
and we see how the world was caught off
guard and in that year 1786 there was a
terrible pandemic in Terraria and I
assume in other cities and we know about
this because it Amendola wrote a letter
and in the letter he writes that he was
in quarantine from Purim till after suus
imagine he was quarantined in a home
from portable evidence he was one of the
great leaders and one of the Great
Pacific masters of his generation
it was a great holy Jew a picot Saavik
he says from poor him - laughs - show us
there was a few family they actually had
ten men in the house so they can davon
in the house with a minyan because they
happened to have ten people in the house
quarantined but of course they couldn't
go to the mikveh of course they could
not go out he writes about how they got
food he also writes about how many lives
were taken because of this pandemic
there was one man in the group who felt
very bad that he's not going to the
mikveh he used to go to the mikveh every
day and certainly used to go to the
mikveh on Monday and Thursday an era of
Shabbos and Shabbos and yom tov and now
he couldn't go to the mikveh Remender
live attempts kay told everybody nobody
should leave nobody is allowed to leave
it's Pequot nefesh it can endanger a
life but he felt the need to go to the
mikveh and he left the house and he went
to a mikvah and fast sadly he got
infected by the disease and it took his
life and read Mendel I heard about this
Rebbe Mendel of attempts to heard about
this and he said something unbelievable
he says it's a pity that is Jew did not
believe in Apothic which PASOK impartial
Zachary mice hacchyan item beside to my
son Hashem says I dwell with the Jewish
people in the midst of their tumor in
the midst of their impurity if he would
have only believed in that passing and
he would have understood that he doesn't
have to go to the mikveh because now is
a time that I Shem says I am going to be
with you without the mikvah things could
have turned out so much different if you
could express yourself that way
ultimately I guess it was by shared what
is rip Mendel teaching us here some
kinder laughs are asking me so many
questions
no chakras no minister no my roof with a
minyan I always David with a minyan
Shabbos Kriya cetera some of you have
the Minich to go to the mikveh and
Shabbos with your Tottie's like there's
mimic of many of the customs some go
every day no mikvah Pacers we always had
with so many family members and cousins
and Sadie and Bobby and this year it's
gonna be so different it feels like it's
not a Jewish thing to do that's why some
people feel they have to go to the
mikveh they have to go to shul but let
me tell you Kindle life that's not the
way it is we don't decide what you this
guy is Hashem decides with your disguise
and this is a time where a Shem says I
love your darling when it's done from
your home privately and I'm gonna love
your say there when it's gonna be done
from your home privately I sure you can
eat them but touch to my some I'm
hearing you're dominating in your
learning and in your mitzvahs and in
everything that is happening in your
kitchen and your dining room and your
bedroom and your home that's where the
Shema is right now it's not anywhere
else the Shema is not in the shul the
stream is not in a mikveh the skin is
not in any events you're not gonna find
that shem there it could be that if
somebody goes to shoulder diving with a
minyan they're not even Yoichi
dominating they have to davon again
ribbed of a coin said that if somebody
goes to Sheol to divert now it's not a
mitzvah baba very it's a thefts of an
it's not a mitzvah that you're doing
through a sin the whole thing is one big
set could be weren't even fulfilling the
mitzvot of domine when you come home you
have to dive in again because you're
putting people's lives in danger imagine
somebody on pacer would say oh I don't
have matzo for Pesach oh I have a great
idea instead of mats I'll eat Salah
that's great I can't eat not Sally Paola
you're gonna laugh right
Evy foul on Pesach is not the second to
the best it's the worst violations of
basis today the daven in the shul is the
worst violation of Davin Inc because
whenever we go out together with people
whether it's a shoal or a street or a
park or a store or a grocery store and
we're not careful and we're not being
responsible to curb this virus we are
endangering life so Hashem says I want
to be with you in your home that's where
I am that's where all the action is
that's where the base I make dishes
that's where the shul is that's with
governing is that's where learning is
our I didn't eat um besides to him
awesome that's what your Mendel of
victims Vitebsk air was teaching I want
to tell you another story about him
maybe it happened at this time maybe
didn't happen at that time it's a famous
story I saw that one over the swimmer
from Earth observing and his superior
acidnam he tells a story and that is
that one day there came a rumor to
tavera that mashiac is coming why they
said that somebody went up on the
horizon on the mountain of olives in
Yerushalayim and he blew Schaefer and
because he blew Schaefer it's probably a
Leo our Navi announcing that mashiac is
about to come and they told this to read
Mendel of attempts care you know what he
did the truth is this guy was on
meshugganah he was a he was a madman he
was an imbecile he was a shite he wasn't
normal and he took a chauffeur and he
went up to the ization and he started to
blow and Jews always are waiting for
Misha so they thought I must be a Leo an
avi so rumor traveled this is before
whatsapp but rumor traveled all over the
place until it came to terraria that
DeLeo Arno V is on the mountain of our
lives are as a sand blowing chauffeur
the Mendel of attempts K went over to
the window of the house and he opened
the window
and he stuck out his head and he sniffed
he started to cry and he said the
Schmeck nisht the earth I'm Ashiya
I don't smell the cooler in the air it's
not a Leo on Navi on the mountain of
course later they found out that it was
just a Michigan who went up on the
mountain I started to blow on a big show
for at all shy for unfortunately it was
not a Leo on Navi on the mountain so
Hasidim asked the question why did he
have to open the window and stick out
his head then sniff outside why couldn't
he just smell in his home take a sniff
right there in his home you know what
they answer they answered that in the
house of rebel of attempt scare there
was always the energy of Gokula there
was always the moon and the energy and
the spirit of mushiya so that's why if
he would sniff in his own house he
wouldn't be able to tell the difference
he had to open the window and sniff
outside and then he could smell what's
happening in the big world and he says
it's not ready yet
because in his house there was always
this spirit of gula so somebody emailed
me today I'm a friend of mine from the
5000 of the ocean and Gordon emails he
says who knows why didn't he go outside
why did he open the window I didn't just
walk out cuz maybe it was during this
time and people were so anxious and they
heard somebody blows over they said oh
it's probably the ghoul and maybe he
couldn't go outside it was dangerous so
that's why perhaps he opened the window
I don't know I can't say that but this
is a famous story about Reb Mendel of
attempt scare but now we know
generations later we are at the end of
gullu's and i thought very very soon
we're anticipating the coming of messiah
at any moment we could see the world
already be going through a
transformation this is transforming the
whole world the world is never gonna be
the same after this we don't know when
mushiya is gonna come that's up to
Hashem we do know that it's high time
and it's overdue and we dove in every
day in every moment that show us forgive
me know :
that mushiya should come today but one
thing we know
even in this madness and in darkness in
your home when you sniff try to be able
to sniff an energy of gula by being
positive
by living already the way we're gonna
live during the google how are we gonna
live during the gula we're gonna only
live with truth no lies no falsehood
we're not gonna let the ate Sahara take
over our lives we're gonna feel the
oneness that we have with each other and
with the whole world and with our Shem
when the gula comes it's gonna be
revealed that everything is part of
infinity we're gonna see the power in
each and every one of us we're gonna see
the light of a Shem shining through each
and every one of us and through each and
every person and for each and every
creature in the world
the parsec says if you're shy of an
eagle accord our sham berroco boss are
you active kaffir sham dipper we're
gonna see that the whole world is really
divine energy it looks like a big
physical - mystical world that is not
godly but really the whole physical
world is all based on the divine energy
without the divine energy giving life to
everything in the world every moment
nothing can exist literally nothing can
exist we see here what happened
everything in the world collapsed in a
few days from an invisible creature
because the whole world every moment is
really an expression of divine energy
and when we realize that we're already
in a state of gula we're already in a
state of redemption we're already in a
higher state durab mendelian as house
always felt that and that's one of the
greatest things we can do to prepare for
machine is to already live in a whole
new way to live with truth to live with
our deepest deepest power to live with
our infinity not to allow our fear to
define our lives but to allow our
infinite godliness and holiness to
define our lives in the lifetime to take
at least some questions 845 777 47 47
you can text all your questions and if
you want to shout out as you see on the
screen we are scrolling the shoutouts I
want to thank River
Houseman for doing such a beautiful job
on scrolling I can even see it here
speaking to you quarantined on J court
in Muncie New York I see this screen in
front of me and all these beautiful
names of these beautiful and holy holy
holy children so I'm going to listen I
want to cover it are you so many
questions so many questions
Wow Wow Wow and I want to try to do a
lot of them so therefore I'm gonna ask
you permission to give short answers
okay I'm gonna give short answers
because you know sometimes I give long
answers because if I give short answers
I can try to cover a lot now if you're
not satisfied with your answer which is
very likely because I'm only telling you
what I know
and a lot of things I don't know trust
me I know much less than what I don't
know right somebody once said in Yiddish
Abu Qatada initiative is ensign Amir Ali
right in ignorance were all wealthy
so therefore if something is unclear or
you want more explanation feel free to
text again the elaborate question or you
can even email me directly if it's
private why rabbi why why at value Sheva
dotnet rabbi why why at the yeshiva
dotnet and Bleen that there with our
shams help I'm gonna try to answer every
email so if it's a personal question and
you feel that my answers now are not
really dealing with what you need to
know feel free to email me directly
Kindle ah rabbi why why at the yeshiva
dotnet and don't think that just because
you're a child your questions are not
significant and are not important your
questions to me and to us are very very
very important so feel free to email and
now to text eight four five seven seven
seven four tea 747 let's go
question number one last program you did
your whole twenty dollar bill stick will
you jumped on it and you trampled it on
your shoulders that it did not lose it
value yes that was fun but I have
another question what happens if
somebody takes the $20 bill and rips it
into shreds then it does lose its value
some people were spit on some people
were stepped on they feel broken and
shattered but some of us were ripped
into shreds some of us are now addicted
with horrible horrible things and it
breaks us as you can imagine our dollar
bills were not stepped on our dollar
bills were torn Wow you know I would
really like if you email me because I
think we should have a more private
conversation rabbi why why at the
yeshiva net but I do want to say one
thing to you and to all the Kindle ah
and that is my metaphor would the money
was not a perfect metaphor and I'll tell
you why you're right when it comes to a
$20 bill or $100 bill you can tear it up
into pieces you could burn it you could
throw it in the garbage you could
scatter it and it's gone there's no
value to it you can destroy it not when
it comes to your soul your soul is a
Gaelic la Comi mal mama Sh
your soul is a piece of Hashem literally
that's the quote that's brought in many
many swaram and then Tonya he adds the
word mama it's literal you are a
fragment of a Shem you are a piece of
Hashem could anybody destroy and burn
Hashem can anybody take Hashem and tear
him up into pieces that's impossible
nobody can ever do that to your soul
there's always your neshama that is
wholesome happy powerful confident
courageous full of strength and full of
infinite power and no matter what has
happened to you in your life and no
matter the difficult circumstances that
you endure in your life and no matter
the mistakes that you may have made
because of different experiences of your
life nobody and nothing has the power to
destroy your invincibility
invincibility means nobody can destroy
the part of you your essence your core
which always remains wholesome and it's
not breakable it's not destructible now
I know sometimes we don't feel it
I know sometimes I'm not in touch with
it but I want you to know that it's Lear
and one day you'll be able to access it
and when you access it you will be able
to find a way to go forward with your
life with joy and with wholesomeness
hang in there take what you need you
could come in and take wow this is a
very very powerful powerful question for
many many years I was looking forward to
my bar mitzvah I was supposed to have a
very big Bar Mitzvah I didn't have an
easy life and I'm an orphan I won't have
my father at my bar mitzvah my father
died many years ago and I was hoping to
have such a big bar mitzvah and now my
bar mitzvah is happening in a few days
and nobody's gonna be at my bar mitzvah
because we're all quarantined so first
of all I want to ask you to please email
me your address I want to send you of a
mitzvah gift that's number one number
two number two with your permission
with your permission at the next program
if you send me your address I would like
to announce your address maybe some
other kinder life would like to send you
something if they want they might want
to send you something we all want to
participate in your bar mitzvah and
right now we're gonna have a little bum
it's of a similar for you Mazel Tov for
your bar mitzvah Mazel Tov may you have
a beautiful life an awesome life a happy
life a blessed life and continue to grow
from strength to from strength to
strength now I know that it's painful
and it's not easy but I want to tell you
a story and I hope that this story can
shed a little light on your bar mitzvah
My dear Buffalo my dear boy and those of
you who know other boys having Bat
Mitzvah these days or these weeks or
these months please forward them this
this program you could for with them a
link from this program to their email
I'm asking you a favor to please forward
it to them because I think it's such an
special story this is a story that was
told by the Baal Shem Tov a bistro Baal
Shem Tov and he said the following
there was a Jew who lived in swass in
the year shin lama the gimel shin lama
gimel would be fifteen 1573 this Jew was
a simple Jew he can read Hebrew he can
davin but he was not a Tom McLoughlin he
was not learning he was not
knowledgeable he was a simple Jew a very
fine man a god-fearing Jew one night a
person appeared in his home they started
to speak and this man tells him that
he's a Leo an avi the Jew cannon believe
it le oh I know Vivas leave me alone
stop you stop dressing up and making
yourself a Leo one of it the man came
back I'm a Leo or nothing what do you
want from me
I'm going to reveal to you the day mushy
if is going to come but there's a
condition the condition is you have to
tell me what you did on the day of your
Bar Mitzvah I know that you did a
mitzvah on the day of your Bar Mitzvah
that made an unbelievable commotion in
heaven and Hashem joy from your Mitzvah
was unbelievable tell me what it was and
now that Jew knew that he was for real
because he knew about something he did
on the day of his Bar Mitzvah
so the Jew told Ellie oh and avi what I
did on the day of my bar mitzvah I did
only for Hashem for nobody else and
therefore it is none of your business
and I'm not going to tell you what I did
elio I know he told them I'm going to
tell you when Messiah comes he says I am
NOT going to be bribed what I did I did
for a sham it's none of your concern
no Leo 1.avi left and this made such a
commotion in heaven that a Jew was ready
to send away Leo on avi they decreed in
heaven that aliawan avi should come to
and start teaching him Tyler and that's
what happened and this Jew from a simple
person was transformed into one of the
holiest people of the generation but he
never told anybody everybody still
thought he was simple and he wanted it
that way he was a private person he
passed away the Baal Shem Tov said and
he came to have and it was decreed in
heaven that his soul should come down to
the world and teach the world profound
teachings of Tyler that have not been
revealed before and whose soul was this
this was the soul of the Baal Shem Tov
because one of the main teachings of the
Baal Shem Tov through his teachings of
acid' this was that in life you have to
ask one question and that is what does
Hashem think about this nobody else
I don't need validation from anybody I
don't need endorsement from anybody I
don't need anybody to agree the only
reason I do it is for a Shem and I
shan't himself nothing else no other
agendas no other politics that's Yiddish
guy that's one of the great teachings of
the Baal Shem Tov he was the soul of
that Jew in Slough who came down again
and the Baal Shem Tov's body Baal Shem
Tov was born 60 98 Tufnell s which means
this Jew was from 1573 and this is 60 98
it's a century later century and change
later what do you see from here my dear
Bar Mitzvah boy you see from here you
had a Jew and he told the Leo or Navi
you are not part of what I did privately
for I sham himself and that's your
special opportunity in your Bar Mitzvah
we make bar mitzvahs we have pictures we
have family we have a caterer we have
music we have a Viennese table we have
chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream
we have a beautiful petal we have gifts
it's all beautiful and amazing but you
have a special opportunity now and that
is to celebrate here by mitzvah with the
rabona Shalom himself and trust me your
father's neshama will be present so yes
it's not what you expected it's hard
it's difficult and if you cry about it
that's also fine but I want you to know
that the main aspect of your Bar Mitzvah
is your own relationship with our shell
and
what the Mishna says that every single
person is considered a whole world of
them was born one person one person and
other knew what I do changes the whole
world and it's true till today we just
don't live that way anymore we're always
trying to please this one and that one
and that one and the main thing is other
people should see and other people
should notice there was one somebody who
once said the greatest feeling in the
world is to do something anonymous and
then have somebody find out but you have
the opportunity of this Jew who was
later the Baal Shem Tov to be able to
have a real Bar Mitzvah a real Bar
Mitzvah means you and your Tati his
eternal love Rafa and Hashem and Salonga
yada and your mommy and the siblings who
are home I dedicated a few more minutes
to this question because I felt it's so
important let's go to the next one and
I'm going to try to do this I'm going to
try to do this try to do this fast eight
four five seven seven seven four tea
747-8 four five seven seven seven 47 47
- vow that okay should a yeshiva bocher
have a phone with just calling and
texting yes you're very lucky if you
only have a phone with calling and
texting it's a much much better way to
live much better much healthier now when
everybody's quarantined in their home
speak to your parents perhaps you can
get a device to be able to communicate
with classmates to be able to
communicate with teachers to be able to
enjoy shiorin but generally when times
are normal it's much healthier this way
now is a unique time because everybody's
doing everything from their house and
the fact that we could communicate right
now I know some of you are listening by
phone but this is very special that we
could see each other so maybe for now it
would be a good idea
to speak to your parents to get an
updated device for you to be able to
learn more
Toyota and communicate with friends can
you please explain the meaning of the
song Chad gadya after the Seder
great question I'm gonna make a note
we're gonna do it in one of the next
programs before pacer discuss car gadya
we have still Thursday at 4 next
Thursday at 4 next Sunday at 4
how can a Shem do this to us doesn't he
love us patty you would never do
anything like this to us mommy you
wouldn't punish us like this Hashem is
our father how can he be so mean how can
he be so cruel why do I have to live
through this
perhaps a Shem should have not brought
me into this world oh my dear child you
are now experiencing and seeing what a
lot of your grandparents and
great-grandparents and great-great
grandparents and great-great-great
grandparents or throughout history there
were many many painful moments in
history where what we saw and what we
see is so difficult to understand but
let me tell you the rule in life you
don't have to understand I don't have to
understand everything I don't have to
wrap my brain around everything some
things I really can't understand just
take a deep breath and know that this
world is so so mysterious remember every
moment that we could breathe every
moment that we are protected from
viruses is a miracle 37 trillion cells
have to work every moment in your body
and be healthy just for your life to
function normally and that's just your
life there's another seven and a half
billion people and then there's billions
and billions of mammals and fish and
rodents and insects and bushes and trees
and shrubs and everything else in our
planet and in our universe and they all
have to work to perfect symmetry
so I want you to know that every moment
of oxygen is a miracle there are
trillions of red blood cells
trillions trillions not millions not
billions trillions of blue red blood
cells that are invisible to the eye that
are moving through your body every
single moment to bring oxygen to bring
oxygen and other nutrients to your body
so all of life full of life comes from
our Shemin and life's challenges also
come from usha why does our loving
father do this I don't know I don't know
we don't know but still know that I
shall is still your loving father and
still your loving mother every single
moment and every moment of your life is
precious even if we can't understand so
much of it hold on we're all in this
together
we love you we bless you we here for you
can you explain for us children the
difference between the mysterious NEFAs
Jews had in Europe 100 years ago for
example Pesach
I read stories who nearly Jews nearly
starved to death in jail or exile mati
comments on Pesach people who learnt in
public at the pain of death
the story of Rabbi Akiva and the Romans
how are we supposed to learn from them
they gave up their lives for Toyota and
mitzvos they technically should have
avoided all these mitzvahs to protect
their lives in health and now we are
told not even to daven on our porches we
are we supposed to dive in with a minion
and answer Amane why don't we learn from
all these people wonderful wonderful
wonderful question so let me answer your
question you have to understand in those
situations there was a zero against
Judaism the Romans made a decree against
terror mitzvos the Russians want to
uproot Judaism so therefore there was a
room from a serious nefesh to
self-sacrifice here the corona virus is
not fighting Judaism every school in the
world is closed Jewish and non-jewish
you're allowed to learn your ladder
you just have to do it in your house not
ensure they're not in school
but generally here is the principle we
don't just die when we decide it's right
to die
we follow the tailor for mysterious
nefesh the terrier tells us when we have
to give up our lives and when we don't
have to give up our lives the Torah
tells us when we listen to the doctor
and when we don't the tire gives us
rules when we are supposed to sacrifice
our life davin in with the minion is not
one of those mitzvahs that you are
massive to sacrifice your life for
in order to dive in with a minion we
cannot make up new mitzvahs and do it do
something that is against what the Torah
tells us to do now even if you yourself
want to say I want to give up my life
even for a mitzvah that I'm not McCoy of
for example dabbing with a minion I want
to give up my life wonderful but you're
not giving up your own life you're gonna
be healthy you're sacrificing so many
other lives when the tailor says you're
now allowed to do this imagine somebody
would tell me go davon with the minion
but the only way you could happen with
the minion is if you take a gun and your
first shoot ten Jews you shoot them some
will get sick some will die some will
have to be in the hospital for a year
but shoot them and then go down them
with a minion what would you say then
would you say oh go shoot Jews and then
that was a minion mysterious nephrons
that with a minion mysterious now first
I'm with a minion at bestest you want to
sacrifice your own life but what if I'm
putting other Jews lives in danger it's
the worst thing it's against the whole
tire it's against the whole mitzvahs
rebbi akiva would be the first one to
tell you no no no it's forbidden your
danger in people's lives
we have mysterious efforts to save a
life not mistress nephesh to murder
another person's life
this is Domini that would be the worst
worst sin I hope I answered your
question
it says intial Senora Farah from the
ballot Anya why don't we make sure to
you know buy because comets when we
check for the Comets or burning the
Comets and he says because we make sure
he uh no on the night of Pesach trying
to say therefore every
thing okay so more you should though
broker h10 Borough Park says why don't
we make sure if you don't know why
because comets for everything cuz that's
the first Mitzvah we're doing for pace
on excellent question and the answer is
because the purpose of Dicker's comets
and burning comets is to prepare for
Pesach why do we check our house for
comets to clean out the house because
the Torah says that for seven days of
pace f you should not have any comments
in your house so because the whole
purpose of Dicker's comets and beer
comets is let's say your car a go it's
for preparing for the UM to face up so
therefore when should we make dahi uh no
we don't make sure he under when we're
preparing we make sure he only yump if
itself by the seder because because
hummus is a preparation for that
beautiful beautiful question Leia
Moskowitz eleven-years-old Montreal we
believe that this virus was brought upon
the world to make Hashem know into all
the nations we're seeing people and
governments saying that only God can
help us now my question is if this is so
why do Jews have to die to can't the
nation see it without us having to lose
precious youth edition of Samus Wailea
what a question but maybe there are
other reasons I don't know I don't know
we can't understand how shams mind this
may be part of the plan but there's so
much more to it and maybe we also have
to go through a transformation I don't
know why any precious either should have
some have to give up their life I'm
Amish don't know and I will never know
and if I don't know it's probably
because I don't have to know all I can
do is cry and all I can do is pray and
all I can do is be here for ourselves
and for all of us and try to get rid of
this madness together I don't know why
all of this had to happen but what I do
know is the world needs transformation
for sure we also need transformation
this is also a wake-up call for each and
every one of us and for all of our
people we also have to go through a
transformation there's some stuff by us
that we can also transform my hate year
old daughter had this question okay the
uncle passed away from the coronavirus
very recently 43 years old it's
heartbreaking it was a shock for all of
us now
she will come soon what happens if my
aunt the widow remarry somebody and then
mushiya comes and my uncle will be alive
again he's gonna want to go back to his
family to his first one to his wife but
she already married somebody else will
he be able to go back to his family
what's going to happen Wow thank you
thank you for this question
what an amazing question beautiful the
answer is he will he will don't worry
about it let me tell you something every
soul has its soul mate that it needs to
be with every soul has its own mate
sometimes a soul has more than one soul
mate when machine comes everything will
be orchestrated in a way where everybody
is perfectly happy knowing that they are
in the place they have to be and they
want to be in the place where they are
being exactly what they're supposed to
be so everybody's gonna have the perfect
right Shiva that their soul wants and
their body wants you don't have to worry
about it if this is the right Shiva for
him he's gonna have this that
remember there's a lot of calculations
because we don't know exactly I was
gonna work out but who is this second
man that she may marry this second man
and where was we was he married before
is he gonna want somebody else I don't
know all these calculations what I do
know is that our son is gonna
orchestrate it in a way that your uncle
will be perfectly happy and your aunt
for many long and happy elf ears will be
perfectly perfectly happy because
everybody is gonna know that they are
exactly where they're supposed to be
they're married to the person they're
supposed to be married and they are
living the life that is best for them to
live representing and bringing to the
world their unique godly light so don't
worry about it my dear 8 year old girl
very special question marshmallow we
davon we learn we do mitzvahs to end
this plague for all those sick we want
them to recover Lama chef isn't he the
one who created everything he created
this plague in the first place we were
already
before he wanted more that he have to
have people pass away to get more all
you Kindle a car asking such beautiful
questions and I want the adults to see
what the children are asking this is so
so important again it's hard ever to
know Hashem is mind I don't know why
Shem is mine can I can I can can imagine
if you create a table do you think this
table can understand you if you take
pieces of wood and you make a table can
that table understand you that table
can't understand anything about you much
less can my brain wrap itself around
Hashem is brain our brains were created
by God so all of our brains understand
is human understanding we don't know any
we have no understanding of an infinite
brain of infinite wisdom we trust we
believe we keep our spirits high we dive
in exactly what the plan is what he
wanted I don't know but I tell you hold
on strong let's be joyous let's be
united let's pray and don't think
Davenant have an impact
sometimes Kindle life asked me somebody
said I dive in for somebody and the
person passed away does it mean Hashem
didn't listen to my diving no everytime
you dive in for somebody it has a
tremendous impact we don't know how it
impacts the person sometimes we dive in
for a person and they pass away don't
think they don't gain from your domini
their nash humble lives on forever known
as summer ever dies do you know how much
that neshama gains from your davon e you
know how thankful that neshama is for
you never think that words that come out
from your mouth are in vain they go
nowhere they're wasted learn from the
virus one man sneezes in Wuhan China and
the whole world is affected by a sneeze
do you know that the ear droplets can
carry this invisible virus and it can
travel they say some 30 feet that's why
you need so much distancing from people
do you know that one sneeze and this is
a virus everything that comes out of
your mouth changes
not only this world it changes all the
worlds the Baal Shem Tov once said on
the puss akin to he'll mmm Tish Kevon
banks battalion Hashem lays between your
lips at Shem guards your lips and waits
for every beautiful word of Atilla and
tyre that comes out of your mouth
and he kisses every word every word has
an impact when you dive in for somebody
even somebody who's not here there
neshama has tremendous benefit from
every filler of yours never think that
your diving is worthless it has a
tremendous impact very powerful people
that are living here for many long happy
and healthy years and people who sadly
and unfortunately are not here with us
beautiful beautiful questions Kindle ah
Wow why do we say Iraq come on who you
Kyra Vayne only my son mushiya why not
Iraq him on who you V able the mysamma
Shia why only get close might decide 10
years old from yerushalayim I think the
answer may be weird Ivany not only to
get the Messiah but that we should feel
even now that we're getting closer you
carve a know not only that we should get
there you know sometimes you take a
family trip God willing soon after this
viruses dissipates you take those family
trips and part of the brushes that you
should feel that you're getting there
you're getting closer and closer and
closer that helps our raff you wonder
you Caravan we shouldn't only get there
but in our journey there we should
understand that we're getting closer and
closer I understand that our sham is the
biggest and the best farther in the
whole entire world and he created
everything but I want to ask who is on
top of Hashem who made Hashem Wow
what a beautiful beautiful question Wow
I addressed this in our first program
let me say it again very briefly I'm
gonna give you one minute answer and
that is if you learn a little bit about
the world you understand that for the
one to create the world he has to be
beyond matter beyond physical matter
can't be physical beyond time and be
and space and that which is beyond
physical matter and beyond time time and
beyond space is also infinite which
means has no limitations whatsoever such
a being doesn't have to be created such
a being is the essence of everything
that is reality
all reality comes from that being and is
included in that being we are all in
Hashem it's not that a Shem exists and
we exists Hashem is existence and all of
existence is part of Hashem all of
existence is in Hashem you could listen
to this again and try to think about
these words and I think you'll
understand it a little bit probably much
better than I and many adults dear rabbi
Jacobsen if this if the shul scenarios
Pascal is different than the Rambam is
it mutter ago to go according to the
Ramba well there's a system of halakhah
there's a system of Melaka so we have to
understand we're the ram bombs opinion
is coming from with the Chicano rogues
opinion is coming from what the majority
of the poisk em say usually we follow
the Shannara but there is the shulchan
aruch there is there are more sometimes
this other PI scheme so best is on every
situation to consult with a rabbi who is
knowledgeable and whom you trust and he
can guide you in this specific question
I want to know what my parents can do
about my only sibling in the house he
does not comply with social distancing
rules he is 30 years old and I'm so
worried for my parents Wow
well you and they have to speak to him
or somebody has to speak to him
respectfully and tell him that this is a
very very dangerous situation maybe you
could show him some videos to explain
this to him but if he really doesn't
comply with social distancing it's it's
it's completely completely unforgivable
that he should god forbid endanger your
parents so maybe he can go to another
place but he has to at once
comply with social distancing this is
very very serious and the question is
that he already catched the coronavirus
and if you already caught the
coronavirus then he should be
quarantined and shouldn't be in contact
with your parents if especially of their
elderly people or they have a weakness
so they're not feeling so well
so this is very important and if you
need emergency help with this then call
the numbers that they gave for help or
your parents should call tell your
parents they may need help with this
because this is a very this is a very
serious it's a very serious situation to
put other people in danger we're really
really not allowed to do that while
Kindle laughs your questions are amazing
thank you for sharing thank you for
their theory 877 you could call in and
text other questions eight four five
seven seventy seven forty seven forty
seven eight four five seven seventy
seven forty seven forty seven you can
also ask for shout outs and when you ask
for shout outs we will scroll your name
on the screen let's do some other
questions my dearest dearest friends
beautiful beautiful beautiful okay we
did this dear rabbi Jacobsen we are
Satmar Hasidim we listen and we enjoy
your classes tremendously right great
but we have a brother who won't listen
to you since he claims that you are at
seeing the you are a Zionist the truth
is that we are also very confused with
this topic
everybody knows that the Santa Maria had
a strong opinion on the issue of Zionism
of C&S and he wrote smartin about this
so we turned to you and hope that you
can address this question with all the
point of views wow that's such a
beautiful question and thank you for
your honesty and thank your brother for
thank you brother for up for your
honesty that's that's that's a beautiful
beautiful question let me just say let
me just say one one thing wonderful that
you are stop the Hasidim 'you should
continue to be Santa Monica system large
richness young and Vachon employers one
of the greatest things about the Jewish
people is that we are all committed to
the same Tiran to the same Hashem and to
the same mitzvahs sometimes there are a
few disagreements trust me even if we
have a few disagreements and I'm not
sure they're so big
99.9 of things we agree right this 613
mitzvahs of the tire so maybe about one
of them maybe is about some things there
is some disagreements but we all believe
in a versus Shem and we all believe in
Navasota and we all believe in a versus
row and we all believe in the Google and
we all want machines to come and we want
the world to be healthy and we want the
Jewish people to be healthy so we have
so so much 99% of our life we agree on
let's focus on that let's also remember
that all of our souls are one the satmar
rebbe is a subsonic live Russia and
every oil and in many many places
discusses that the differences between
all the Jewish people is only externally
internally we all have oneness humus
over one so we have a principle and that
is let's say there's some things that
your parents or your brother doesn't
agree with me okay that's fine that's
perfect
that's wonderful ain't a-sayin Chavez
look in the Gemara there's so many
disagreements between 10:00 a.m. and I
Miriam and between girliest all this
sometimes disagreements but 99% of
things we agree on so I think that I
think that we could continue to learn
from each other I could learn from you
and you could learn from me if you want
to follow this up in emails we could
follow this up in emails with more
details
Wow there are there are literally I
think another hundred or two hundred
questions that keep on coming in eight
four five seven seven seven forty seven
forty seven plus a lot of questions
still from last time that I didn't
answer but God willing we're gonna get
to all the questions and I still have to
give you my riddle and finish with my
last little story so let's get to the
riddles let's get to the riddles a lot a
lot of children and to the riddles a lot
of children a lot Mama's dozens and
dozens of children and a few of them got
it beautifully right I'm gonna read you
the first answer that came in I'm gonna
read you the first answer that came and
it came in from he saw her and you Shia
Tenenbaum in Muncie New York and they
got the answer to both riddles correct
they gave me their address and I want I
still I see if people are still sending
the answers to the riddles so I'm going
to still announce all those who got the
riddles correct and I thank everybody
who tried to answer the riddles even
those who got it incorrect because it's
always about trying trying is very very
important of course we want to be
successful but trying is important so
let me give the answer the way the
Tenenbaum brothers from Muncie gave the
answer and anybody who got this riddle
right after year my answer please make
sure to text in your address very very
important the Tenenbaums did three
spartan were written during a pandemic
okay the first one the first one and
this is actually what i was referring to
good this the first one was written by
their mo Robbie no moisture is
surrealists was the rabbi of Cracow he's
buried in the cemetery right near and
strollin cracked I was there he lived in
the 1500s and he wrote a commentary on
the whole shil Senora called her Goya
saaremaa it's called the Shulchan Aruch
means a prepare table and he's the
mapper like the tablecloth on a table
and they recorded all over the
Kazik traditions because the base Joseph
was a Spidey and he wrote it shows
America by Joseph Cairo remember histor
which was an Ashkenazi from Cracow from
Poland and he ran away from a pandemic
he ran away in the year shin you involve
15 1556 he ran away to a city called
should live and he said there was no
fresh water there was no food there were
no fruits it was poor him he said it was
a horrible depressing Purim because they
were running away from a Porsche over
the city we lived he said was diseased
he calls it that the ear the ear had a
had an infection so to speak basically
there was a virus traveling and killing
people so they ran away and he said it
was a horrible poor him because he was
without people and without a community
so what did he do in such a time he
wrote a safer on the Megillah one of the
most beautiful commentaries on the
Megillah it's called Monsieur yayan the
price of wine written by their amah
during a pandemic in 1556
he wrote the SAF McCain you know what to
save my scientist he explains the whole
Megillah Esther as a muscle for a
person's life the whole story from Akash
perish from the beginning of a fresh
radishes rain in the party and Vashti
and Esther Martinez ran hama all as a
parable for the life of a human being
plus many other beautiful insights into
the Megillah why did he write this
because he couldn't celebrate Purim the
way he usually celebrated it what do you
learn from this Kindle ad when you're
given a lemon you make lemon aid right
you're in you're in quarantine and you
celebrate life you see the silver lining
keep your humor going there are ma had a
difficult poem and he wrote a safer
because he couldn't celebrate Purim
usually would sell a bread and they
would dance and they would for bring and
he would go remote would visit the
houses on poor him but he couldn't do
any of this so what did he do he sat
down and he wrote a safer on materiai in
on the Megillah two other people wrote
started during a pandemic
muda Shh written by the clayey car
the famous cleric Loran homage in the
year shin I&S shin i infest would be
1618 a moody sage by the clayey car and
finally safer her fiim by repeat I am
been bit sallow
a brother of the morale wrote it in the
year shin noon
gimel 50 93 all these books were written
in the 1500 to the 1600s during pandemic
so materiai in of the Rama and then we
have a mood a sage by the clayey car and
we have safer Hawaiian by repeat I am
the brother of the morale I actually saw
this safe it's quite an interesting
safer what did he call it he called it
the book of life the book of life okay
riddle number two riddle number two you
know ask the question about rich
tradition isn't the minister skin'll
famous minister skinner abusive Bovada
asks it in his book mitzvos I say Dao
let's say for at Hanauma and you know
what he answers he says that we accept
the first witnesses he says we accept
the first witnesses who said it's Rajesh
why do we accept the first witnesses I'm
going to read to you what the minhas
Kimmel says he says when the two
witnesses came and they said the moon
they said they saw the moon they were
kosher and we investigated them and they
were kosher so it's a mitzvah
embezzlement to accept their testimony
and therefore we make rice writers now
even though later we find out that what
that two witnesses came and disqualified
them and because these two witnesses
disqualified them so therefore we should
disqualify those first two witnesses so
that mr. Skinner says no because the
fact is that by other testimony if we
find out that bez Dhin was deceived it's
worthless but there's an exception by
recitation says that even if mezda made
a mistake because they were deceived it
still restrained us so therefore it
not like other witnesses we're if the
witnesses are pusle everything that's
disqualified here but the evidence empty
them they were kosher because there were
no other witnesses so even though later
we find out that they were disqualified
nonetheless we look at the fact that
they were accepted as kosher and
therefore it is recited ish because even
be evident find out that they were wrong
it's still risk our dish and the Kapila
when they came it was kosher and it's a
mitzvah to accept them so therefore I
believe that you accept them and it's
restraint dish and even later when two
witnesses come to disqualify them you
don't have to look at that and you don't
have to disqualify their ages and
nothing is being ruined then you can
keep it true you can keep it as rush cry
this and especially you can add that
according to their own testimony the
second witnesses they're still children
because it's not rich like this yet so
they themselves said that their
postulate this is disqualified they
disqualified themselves also so
therefore the first testimony testimony
stands let me conclude with this little
anecdote and we will get to your
questions next program Thursday at four
o'clock eight four five seven seven
seven forty seven forty seven eight four
five seven seven seven forty seven forty
seven bleeding that day I will address
all the questions briefly I know they're
coming in I did the best I can I know
there's a lot lot more from last time
and this time and so forth and if you
still want to shout out even gonna get a
shout out we're gonna start Thursday
four o'clock next week and here is my
final final little story and that is as
follows that is as follows ok once ok
I'm gonna do I'm gonna I'm gonna it's
gonna it's go it goes like this
there was a there was a very famous sage
a very famous wise man who was traveling
from city to city and he was answering
everybody's questions and nobody can
stump nobody could get him stuck until
one day a little child stands up in
front of the whole crowd and he tells
them I will stump him I will ask a
question he won't be able to answer
and when it came to the
question-and-answer session he turned to
this old sage and he says I have a
butterfly in my hand now you tell me is
this butterfly alive or is this
butterfly dead
you know everything answer this question
now of course what was this trial
thinking whatever he says he'll get
wrong if he says that the butterfly is
dead the child would just go like this
and the butterfly will fly out and if he
says that the butterfly is alive he'll
just squeeze his hand and the butterfly
will die so he's stuck so he says is
this butterfly in my hands dead or alive
the old man looks at him and says my
dear son the answer to your question lay
in your hand the answer to your question
lies in your hand you will decide the
answer to your question conceptually and
physically it's in your hand
and I share this to you because this is
not an easy situation and we don't have
all the answers
but the one thing we do have a choice
and what's the choice that we have how
we are going to live now how we are
going to respond I cannot control a lot
of things in my life but one thing I
could control my attitude my perspective
how I think about things how I look at
myself how I look at the world how I
treat my brothers how I treat my sisters
how I respect my father and listen to my
father and listen to my mother these
days how I live with myself these days
remember even when you're quarantined so
much is in your hands and in my hands so
