we'll see how we go so we're in chapter four if you remember the first salah we learned that there are 24 things that will prevent and stop a person from doing chuva and last class we went through the first five now we're going to go through another five sorry in the first four and now we're going to go through another five and it says as follows um here are five things that would lock the path of chuva of a person who wants to do chuba a lot of you weren't here in the last class when we learned what i was explaining in that there are 24 things that will stop a person from doing chuva and i was explaining how many times you do chuva 70 you're already doing shiva for 20 years you got you got the hang of 20 70 80 20 you can't seem to to master it you still can't fit it in your busy schedule and you don't understand how can i get rid of these two three four sins and when you have different examples it can be a person can say because amazon can a person can wake up to shakari that person things so in chapter one we talked about four things that are severe sins that are stopping a person from doing cuba very quickly just to uh repeat that because a lot we're not here first of all is mahdi arabic a person that makes many people sin the second one is that you take a person that is on a good path already and you're taking him off the good path mainly the person is a sinner okay but the person is already an observant individual and you push him away this is called a missionary or a masit and ahmadiyya missionaries do that i'm already on my path why are you taking me now to a different place the third one is when you see your child goes to a bad path goes off the path of the chuva of torah and you don't rebuke him you say no it's my child i want to be tough on him and we explain that that also applies to when you see another person going off the path of the torah you don't find your any any important to rebuke him it means we have to rebuke people when they go off the path of the torah of course and the last one is what's called the assure that a person says i will sin now because i know tomorrow i can do chuva so these are the four things that if you're doing them these are gonna they're gonna stop you from doing your own chuba now we're gonna go and chapter in there in two another five things that can stop you from doing chuva and of course you have to recognize if you have them because that might be a stumbling block that slows you down so he says here are five things that are going to lock the path of before the whole community is fasting there's to the book not when our generation sometimes people can manipulate the situation in front of a great rabbi and give him false information and he will give a ruling based on that false information that's a whole different thing but we're talking here that a great rabbi will come and say something and you disagree with the rabbi le fishing remember why is it so severe because when you disagree with the rabbi obviously you're not going to do what he tells you and then you go on the wrong path now and usually what's gonna happen the rabbi will tell you the right path of doing chuva and if the rabbit tells you don't do that thing and you disagree with him and know your dad don't catch you out then you don't go on the path of juventus everybody tells you you're not allowed to do that i told it can be there by the way also a rabbi they passed away 500 years ago we have books and if the books say we have shulhana it's almost i'd heard many people saying i don't agree with this excuse you you don't agree with why don't you go down there the stairs to the cemetery and talk to your rabbi and tell him you disagree with him so again we're allowed to disagree with the words of our wives rabbis whether they're alive right now or died a few hundred years ago and it's real authentic rabbis you can't do that why because eventually it will stop you from going on the path of cuba next vote the person that mocks the mitzvot that's the only way of saying it enough now a lot of time a person they they they despite despise the mitzvah or they found them they find them it's a disgrace then you mock them and people do that since they you the mitzvoth they have no importance in your eye in your eyes so you don't pursue them and you don't do them lawyers say now if you're not going to do the mitzvah but what are you going to gain so some people they they say no this means i don't like doing it that it doesn't this resonate with my point of view i don't want to do that then if you despise the mitzvah then you're not going to do it so how are you going to later on get the merit for that next number four hamilton a person who disgraces his rabbis which one can say didn't we just say that with the the so that's not the same because is one thing and a rabbi is another thing is the great sage and a rabbi can come and tell you something and you say no i don't i not only that i don't know the verb for admonishment why because when you are rebuked it's going to cause you to that's how it works whether you like it or not when i tell you your sins straight out to your face and i shame you with that then you get your act together and you kind of whoa what am i doing and you become you do you repent as it says in the torah and now he quotes here all sorts of verses in the torah that will affirm what he's saying well one of them it says hashem this can be found in the book of dwarim chapter 9 verse 7 which the translation is remember don't forget that you provoked hashem you have to constantly remember that we say that's one of the remembrance we say everyday remember that you provoked hashem and then you got punished and then he says another verse you were you went against the master of the universe you rebelled this is another verse from the book of the volume chapter 29 verse 3 god did not give you a heart and then he continues he gives another another verse also from the book of darim chapter 2 verse 5 verse 6 your ungrateful nation is just quoting different verses from the torah that are saying how did you do chew up by being rebuked and he gives another another explanation he says you know most of the prophets now when we're looking at the prophets we have uh high higher opinion about them we love prophets but i can tell you already that you like them anyways so in the book of israel isaiah first chapter verse four he used to rebuke the nation of israel and he says hoy hote whoa sinful nation and yeah that's how the book of yeshayao ordered the prophets to come and rebuke us for the sins that we do and that's really why the the the the prophets came to rebuke us so all the the prophets they came to rebuke the nation of israel to come to listen to this rabbi no i don't like this guy he screams all the time he tells me how bad i am what do you want him to do to tell you how great you are and that's the thing then the ones who tell you how great you are they the a lot of followers they have on facebook because they tell you how great you are who wants to hear how bad you are but nevertheless that's if you don't like to being rebuked you're not going to go to the guy lecture and you know what's going to happen so you're not going to hear what he has to say what's going to be the result then you're going to stay in your sin because in your eyes it looks good because so and so tell me oh you're doing good she loves you so to conclude this has mean this is one section from halacha but you you whether you like it or not that's nobody's consulting with you what you like or not you in order to get your act together as they say you must be pointed a finger by saying you're doing it wrong therefore a person who's smart will appoint on himself a rabbi that tells you tells him when you're doing wrong i told you from my my first rabbi you never even told me one compliment of the day never heard a compliment from this guy one thing tell me one thing no even up until today i i only get smashed in my head how bad i am but that's what you need you need a person that will uh you know in hebrew say like don't get loose here this is very very important because in our generation people are like why are you scaring everybody and all sorts of comments like that and i'm scaring anybody i'm just reading out of a book and you should be happy that somebody's reading out of that book and some people are like no i don't like that attitude and you know the generation and there's nothing wrong with this generation generation needs a slap to its face that's what the generation needs and same thing with educating kids sometimes parents are like no no don't scream at the kid scream at him put some fear in the little kid he needs to know who runs the show here so i i prefer old school and all the the new methods and no and with love and there's nothing wrong with love of course but before love you also need a little bit of a firm hand so this is one of the things that stopped people from doing chuva that they're not willing to be rebuked they're not willing to take criticism they're not willing to hear somebody else with an authority of course not some clown coming and telling them how bad they are talking to somebody with authority that tells the person i'm sorry you're not doing it right who are you kidding and if you are really not accepting that then you're not going to be able to do chiva why because you think what is how did he conclude therefore you're going to stand in the same place where you sin should be enough because in your eyes what you're doing is good so take these four recommendations these five year recommendations from allah bet now we're going to continue basra hashem in future classes for the rest of the la jolla but it's these are things that other people they brush them off but you have to stop for a second be like wait a minute maybe what's stopping me from doing real chuva is one of these things maybe i do mock my rabbi or any rabbi oh i disagree with the ham oh i look at the mitzvot and i disregard them all these five things because we don't know sometimes where the clog is and if you have issues with doing chuba maybe there's a clog in the plumbing and you need to release it when you do what's called what's called the reverse engineering you
