on paper before has anyone ever done the following the first thing you do when you read the book the first thing you do before you read the book is you turn to the last page has anyone done that we do is we go and we read we took a look at the last page you want to see what we're getting ourselves into and I think it's not only in reference to the concept of reading a book I think it's in reference to life in life in general we try to do is when we think that things are too much when it's too many pages when it's too much work we get overwhelmed and when a person gets overwhelmed what we do is we shut down is in a Essence what we do we shut ourselves down and then we don't even get involved in the first place let's talk about Judaism for a second welcome to project Inspire no thank you thank you let's think about Judaism what happens when a person gets involved in Judaism in some way shape or form or another and I want to tell you something I don't care are your background doesn't make a difference no matter who a person is even in this room but if you're dealing with also dealing with secular people but in terms of this own room we all have times when we get overwhelmed I have in my my living room is sorry I'm shrunk which I feel so blessed that I don't have to translate that here but I have a smart and strong but I will for those unfamiliar it means a a bookshelf I have a bookshelf in my living room which has lots of books lots of books right lots of Jewish books as a matter of fact my grandfather I love a Shalom when he moved there to Seoul I live in air to sell I live in the holy land when he came he sent to my he sent to my house uh 60 when they moved there to Seoul Medallion 60 boxes of swarim because I had the biggest living room of my family I have three rooms and they have two and aside the biggest living room said they sent it to my house before and then I was able to swipe a bunch of slime before nobody let us split a bunch of what uh that's what I do okay so what happens is we get overwhelmed we shut ourselves down we're not able to do it there's way too much very simple very simple person sees too much we end up burning out now I wanna I wanna let's let's take this a little we're gonna be very specific because I know of this especially Yeshiva shares in the room we're going to be very specific is there an obligation for one to finish Kola tarakula so let's say differently for a 13 year old male Jewish boy is there an obligation from to finish all of Torah yes or no who thinks he has to raise your hand okay which line and whereas many times we talk about being based off effort most of the time we show we're based off results where's your piece of paper what did you finish what did you accomplish Where Have You Been what did you do now what did you almost do almost is not enough unless you're trying to spell the longest word in the English language in alphabetical order which is the word almost but my friends Almost is not enough but unfortunately this is seeped into us as well I remember one of my kids came home from school I won't say which kid or what school but there was a school my kid was there and they came home and they said to me thank God that's it they came home and they said to me they said to me ah my notebook didn't get picked I said what do you mean nobody did being picked said that they they what they do is they decide whose notebook was colored the best and that notebook gets taken to the principal so there were two things messed up in the story for me one is when you're playing favoritism and whose color like how do you know and number two my kid wants to go to the principal something's not right here when I grew up it was different yeah but the point is the first one is like that's what you're basic enough who's the bro who's deciding what's going to something better or is going to be selling who decides that I found that afterwards thank God to this credit that it was really every kid got a chance it's just they made it it just made you feel like you're worthless but everyone eventually got a chance yeah but again the concept like what's going on tells us ideas if they're going to get this guy in this world that's where they're up and they said you won't get this kind of the next world that's where they're down here beautiful so then what was was my age we were both 17 years old this is about two years ago and and this kid was unbelievable like the kid was ugly he finished shots in a year 17 years old 18 years old he finished us in one year so I met this kid he was living in charlevin and Yeshiva in charlevin and when I don't want to say his name for whatever reason may be anyway I went over to this kid I didn't know him he didn't know me but I said hey you know I'm having a problem with the gamara I wanted to see come on really he said well you know which which part you know of the death like what what do you mean and he opens up he just starts reading it was unbelievable the kid at the head that he read a gamer like it was a like a novel he just read through it you understand the level he's going to be held accountable to in terms of learning this guy's got to learn dance shots with me I only have to learn the you know the simple text you know this guy's gonna sucker he thinks she's so smart huh my friends it all goes according to our level who wins the anxious Kyle award the one who has guests every six months so the one who has it every week every week every week if I had to get up and if it's just women then they sing it hey and it's just men they sing it okay whatever it is only sing it who should be getting it we don't know that's the bottom line maybe that woman who has once every six months could only have it once every year but she pushes herself on us every week she'll be having it every day it all comes down to how much did you put into it that's the bottom line okay good let's say you buy what I just said let's say you buy it maybe half price we do buy everything I'm saying till now that it's about effort it's about effort it's about effort stop with the results it's about effort yes my bit very good it's exactly The Muppets who comes and spells that idea was in my bid those are the effort is about effortless but effort at the end of the day my friends are still pretty hard it's still pretty difficult still pretty difficult even the effort's difficult because they only ever ran a marathon I'm looking it looks like a lot of you did yeah okay we got one one have anyone ever seen a marathon and been eating popcorn during it right okay so you watch a marathon can a person run a marathon someone who ran a marathon can they run a marathon yes they can run a marathon okay so then may ask you something because they couldn't because they could do it is it easy just because you could do it doesn't mean it's easy it's still difficult it's still very difficult even if one were to buy the fact that you're not obligated to finish everything you're not going to do as much as you're able to do that's what you have to do physically mentally you're okay you have to do as much as you can if you can't do something let's say a person God forbid didn't have an arm and in reference to film they don't have an arm or a head do they have to put on filling it's a Shayla you know okay the answer is they have to put on what they can put on what they can't put on they don't put on that's it if you're not able to do something that's pasta that's it you have to do what you can do but even then it's hard even though it's challenging of course it's hard and it's challenging we got to work a little bit we got to push it a little bit we got to push it a little bit so I want to share with you a couple of ideas how one could still be able to maintain the things that we're even able to do the things that we're able to do what are some ideas we're able to do we're going to start off with an oldie but a goodie a classic one I'm gonna ask you a question please don't give me the most obvious answer okay the question is uh the statement is Baby Steps step number one is something called Baby Steps what does baby steps mean I want to ask that some girls steps that babies take so thank you for that insight and Brilliant Insight what does it mean baby steps start slowly come on what up the babies don't start slow do they they get cracking what does it mean fall good what else get up what else go again start pick yourself up persevere small increments crime no would you say cry you start young okay so how about this one as anyone in the room and this is specific to the men because I I want to see if you guys have a heartbeat any of you ever been through any sort of physical therapy before raise your end of yes four of you that's a five six six eight nine one at a time ten all of us okay now ladies and gentlemen in physical therapy right okay good right okay so the answer for those of into Physical Therapy if anyone ever had to take a physical therapy in terms of walking they don't have to do that before was it hard was it hard was it difficult it's work it's work it's work the physical therapist would be a good idea to have someone who's not only good in their knowledge of the anatomy but also as a good bedside manner that's that's a good a good person who's it will pump you up and will help you out it's very very very difficult to know how to walk walking is incredibly hard walking and talking and throwing a mic at the same time that's not simple to go ahead and do different different types of walking whatever person does this is hard but you know why we're all able to walk let me ask you guys a question imagine we were to be born as adults if every one of us were born as adults how many people do you think would be walking very few if any people do we realize how challenging it is have you ever tried to do something and failed and try it again
