I had two dreams ever since I left a sheave I had two dreams it's a one-day comeback live in Eretz Israel and one of the dreams was to teach in a post high school January of 1999 I met with the Marcus's notes it was 35f time and see out to the shrine I felt like Thank You chef I won the jackpot this is like a dream come true it was so refreshing different than teaching back in the states in a high school environment it was just education in a much healthier way where wasn't limited to the classroom it wasn't limited to a text it was just to sit and hours and hours talk to the guys I loved it I wasn't gonna eat it there is for sure the dimension of its yeshiva there's the academic rigor teach them skills teach them to love learning teach them to want to continue learning for the rest of our lives that's for sure a major component but the underlying coupon a little is that they'll walk out of achieve with a Torah pair of lenses to see everything in a Torah perspective and continue on you know committed devoted way so we're here to try to inspire try to encourage and try to make that connection that's that's really the goal rebby landau makes people wants to be better whether they are as students or whether they are his colleagues and his peers when you're around of landau he brings out the best in you you can look at him and all the great things that he does and and all of his wonderful qualities and that's very very special and it's very wonderful but what moves it to a level even beyond that is that he makes you wanted to be better he is just someone who focuses on the positive whether it's how wonderful today is gonna be whether it's the accomplishments big or small of any of his children or any of his peers and just tell me then he genuinely is so pleased with the chances that we have to to succeed first time I want your financial shouts I came away thinking that's exactly how I want my home to Iran mess attack exactly had the father I want to be that's just who he is he just sees the good in everybody I first remember meeting of Landau fifteen years ago the first impression was him welcoming me with with a big warm smile and saying welcome to this year welcome Steve Shiva and that impression of his warm smile has stuck with me forever you know to be part of someone's growth in that way is something incredible you're happy for the Telamon you're happy for him that look how he's developing look how he's growing the cow but you're also feeling like it's so rewarding like I played some part in affecting someone's neshama that's hopefully the carry for his whole life
