but the truth of the matter is that all
of us
who are so privileged to be a part of
this enterprise
really have to thank
you rabbi raxton and you rabbits and
muhammad for your incredible leadership
and your vision for your love
the opening of this beautiful modern
khabad house will play a key role in
living up to that commitment
i want to offer a special note of thanks
to those who have been instrumental
in supporting this project
congratulations to all of you and i look
forward to the day when we can be
together in this new remarkable space
yes
i'm really just happy and proud to be a
part of what i know will be an
incredible resource for students
uh and just you know confident that
there will be hundreds and hundreds of
vanderbilt kids over the years who
you know will have their lives and their
jewishness enriched at your new home so
mazel tov and thank you again for
everything
[Applause]
i can think of no bigger impact one
could have on future vanderbilt students
than by helping to grow both in space
and in spirit
i would be remiss however not to use
this opportunity to say how proud i am
of my father
and how lucky i am to be his son
granted most families try to make
charitable contributions during the
application process and not well after
their kid has graduated a little late
and i could use the help but uh we'll
forgive them
cliche as it is my father is truly my
biggest role model i could go on for
days he's kind he's caring he's devoted
to perpetual growth professionally
personally and spiritually
i'm always impressed by the fact that
despite being the busiest man i know he
always finds time to champion the cause
of jewish education the cause that has
been near and dear to the hearts of our
family since their arrival
[Music]
it's a cause and a legacy
i'm proud to now formally be a part of
as well
and i couldn't ask for a better day
[Applause]
