Secrets Of Hebrew Language

first of all I just like to say that tonight's sh is going to be the rella and in the Merit of the to learn tonight we hope and we pray that her Nish should have in alyah B I'd also like to say that I'd like to give the sh tonight in the for all the members of the Israeli Defense Forces who are on the border right now of Gaza and some have actually entered into Gaza and the of the Torah inspiration that I hope that you will receive tonight it should be a and Merit for the safe Safety and Security and the accomplishment of the mission of the Jewish Israeli Defense Forces so thank you for having me here tonight in Brooklyn usually I lecture around in Queens and it's a pleasure to come down here tonight and see what's happening in Brooklyn you have a beautiful synagogue I got the tour and it's a pleasure to be here and to speak to everybody tonight and tonight I'm going to speak to you about a topic which I think when you investigate it carefully and we'll begin to do it tonight I think we're going to discover that it might be one of the greatest proofs that we have for the fact that the tah is a document that was given from above and perhaps it's a big statement but we'll we'll try to flush out that statement as we go along tonight the name of this lecture is is the secrets of the Hebrew language the DNA of creation and we'll explain what that would mean in a moment before we do I'd just like to speak a little bit about language in general you know in English we have a language but the reality is the words that we use don't really mean anything of great significance for example if you know the answer to this please don't say it my socks are made out of what socks are made out of nylon who could tell me why they're made out of nylon chemistry Majors who knows why it's called nylon Pas biologists come on some who's in The Sciences who is in The Sciences who studying The Sciences who you has ever taken a course in science see if you've never taken a course in science you become a rabbi but this I do know who can who can tell me why it's called nylon good why is it called nylon because it was created by the DuPont Chemical Company and the DuPont Chemical Company happens to have an office in New York and London so my stocks are called nylon okay any real meaning in that nope you know if we look at the um where would it be the cord or even well we had an overhead projector that cord over there you see the cord against the wall the cord that that holds like the the wiring does anybody know what that cord is made out of what's made out say again actually it's made out of balite baly yeah back made out of baly who can explain to me why baly is called baly baly is often times the the electrical cords that we use in projectors or in um cameras and things like that who knows why it's called backal light it's the back trans it's called the back and and it's light okay good good something a little more technical someone who's in the science is a little more technical something to do with oh good good guess something something to do with some chemical yeah let me would you be surprised if I told you that it was created by Dr Joseph P balite so he named it after himself is there any real meaning in that no the language is random I'm going to suggest something to you right now that every language out there and there are 70 of them have no intrinsic meaning except one language the Hebrew language and the Hebrew language is called l KES KES means different distinct unique there's like there's no other language like it in the world however there's one language that's similar who knows what language that is Russian who said Russian no anyone says bharian no it's not bharian okay it's not not Aramaic is a sister language it's a sister language arama sister language you know yish yish no not yish good guess though good guess who knows what language I'm talking about the gor language language gor is Aramaic there's one language that the Hebrew language is similar to it's this language right here it's called the chemical language for example if I were to write on the board H2O what do you know about H2O it's water and what does it contain two two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen if I were to write NAC sodium chloride in other words these letters actually describe the essence of what's there you will know the properties of water exactly its Atomic quality by that symbol however why we chose to call hydrogen why we choose oxygen why we choose sodium why would you chloride That Is Random we can call whatever we want but it is getting a little bit descriptive about what's there now the Hebrew language is completely different why because what we believe and which is a tenant of Judaism fundamental is that means if we are to know if we were to know the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet and we know their meaning and we understood reality we can construct this language Let Me say that again if we were to know the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet and we were to understand what something really is we can construct the language because God created everything very specifically not randomly he took letters and he formed them so if you know the meaning of those letters and you know what something is you will say it's logical this is what it has to be but God made it easy for us what did he do he gave us the 22 letters he gave us the language and so when we analyze it you know know what we can discover all the secrets of reality we can discover all the secrets everything you want to know about everything can be understood by simply analyzing the language analyzing the letters and that's what I'm going to do with you right now now first thing we have to know what a letter means how do we know what a letter means we have four sources Source number one is actually very simple it's the meaning of the letter what does Alf mean it means the champion the great one bait bite is a house giml gal camel dalor Etc the meaning of the letter gives us one reference point second thing we have is the shape of the letter we're going to look at in a moment in the olive we see the shape of the letter is very important each letter is composed of other letters another way we understand a letter is the sound gives us Insight another insight has to do with the numerical value we know that each of the letters has a numerical value not only a letter and finally a very interesting source is that the first time a letter Begins the root of a word in the Torah that word will teach you the meaning of the letter for example where does the base begin the root of a word in the Torah who can tell me Well bis is not a root it means in that's a preposition where does it begin the root of a word bar create it's going to have something to do with a Bice a house creation okay we'll talk more about that but those are our Clues clue number one is always going to be the meaning of the letter clue number two is going to be the shape of the letter the sound of a letter the gamor speaks also about the meaning of letters and the fourth is going to be the first time the letter appears in the Torah okay so let's begin and let's start with this letter over here good place to begin is with the ALF let's analyze the Olive and see if we can understand this one of this primary building blocks of creation you know I should mention you know why do I call this lecture by the way the DNA of creation what does the DNA describe for us it describes everything you need to know about the person doesn't it you open up the DNA and you can tell me exactly what that person looks like in all shapes and colors you open up the Hebrew language you could see reality perfectly I'm going to show you what I mean this letter alive let's analyze it whenever we see an alive in any word in the Hebrew language it's always going to have something to do with who with the almighty with theem well let's see what's the numerical value of olive numerical value is one one good let's see another clue that we have that's always got something to do with hasem you know if you look at the alive the shape of the alive you'll notice that's composed of actually three letters over here a yud a yud and a a v let's do a little numerical analysis what's the numerical value of y 10 good numerical value of of six someone add that together for me what do you get 26 what word in Hebrew has a numerical value of 26 how about this word right here yud he V which means god yud is 10 he is five V is six hey is five someone add that across from me what do you get 26 so another hint that we have that the AL always has to do with something about God question first time we see the AL at the beginning of a word in the Torah what word is that bit well a root word Elohim what does Elohim mean God first time we SE in the Torah it spells ELO Elohim another hint that we know that it means God okay you know I'm just going to point something out to you Alf numerically is one how do you say a thousand in Hebrew how do you say it Al Alf means one El means a thousand it's the exact same word could someone explain that to me god listen you have an infinite imagination couldn't you have thought of two words one for one and one for a thousand you have to use the same word Al what's the connection what's the connection what's that you know a thousand what yeah go how you doing how you doing possibly be some possibly some similarity to the number one and the number one with a bunch of zero saying good saying something important I'll tell you a story that one time I was giving a lecture and it was about 11:30 at night and I had a headache I felt really tired I got a call from My Wife and she says Don nice guy very sweet guy says to me R we sit down at the table my wife s te you know I'm trying to think what am I going to say to this guy this girl is like listening wants to hear like you know who has the truth over here and um I'm like my head is pounding and I'm thinking like just asking AEM for some help over here so he says to me Rabbi you know you know the Hebrew language very well don't you I know a little bit he said you know Rabbi Alf it means one El means a thousand Olive always has to do with God doesn't it so therefore doesn't it make sense therefore that you could perhaps divide God up into different Pieces perhaps the Father the Son and the Holy toast that was his opening attack so I said to him Don you know you have to be polite you know polite a polite person my head is killing me but hasm put this one into my head I said Don let me explain something to you you look out in the world and what do you see let's take a look analyze things for a moment you know that we know that there's a force in the world called the sun right 93 million miles away it's perfectly located in the exact position to give the exact amount of heat to the universe and to the world what does it do it be eats down in the world and as a result it causes the evaporation of water the water then Rises up and another Force kicks in force called The Wind and The Wind Blows the water together and forms clouds but you know most of this evaporation takes place over the ocean because that's most of the water is so the wind then has to utilize another force and blow the wind back over the land and then another Force kicks in called gravity and gravity brings down the rain in the perfect proportion so it doesn't flood the Earth but allows the Earth just the amount of nutrient of water that it needs to sustain life and then what happens the water mixes in with all of the things in the soil and guess what a seed dissolves and from the depth of the seed comes up a plant a plant produces a fruit I said down let me question are all of those individual gods that are causing each of those occurrences is there a wind God and a sun god and a gravity God and a soil God he said Rabbi that's ridiculous so I said to him well isn't it possible that our job in life is to look at all the thousands of forces in the world and realize there's one commanding force and therefore what it to make perfect sense that the same letter that means one would mean a thousand that we're to look at the multiplicity of all the forces in the world and see the unity that's what I said to him and I had such a headache it was Major you know major Divine assistance of that one but that's why it means it of course that's why the word for El means Alf and are the same word question what oh good go go good okay smarter than me here we go so let's take a little little just a little numerical value over here let's take a look at let's take a little look look over there like sorry to erase so let's means also means wisdom you know these are beautiful descriptions of God number one he is the one of all power he's the Al and number two he's the ELA he's the one who provides wisdom you know it's interesting every letter will always reflect two things one way God relates to the world in general and one way he relates to mankind because mankind is the purpose of creation to the world he is the all powerful one but to the human being he is the elect the teacher of wisdom Now isn't it beautiful if you look at the three letters that spell Alf watch this Al means Hashem the teacher the powerful one what does lamid mean lamid means to to teach what does p mean M the mouth AEM teaches he teaches the mouth he transfers his wisdom to us by the vehicle of the mouth how do you communicate to MOS through the mouth how do we communicate to each other with the mouth how do we teach wisdom with the the mouth again we see everything we know about God in the way he relates to man God teaches wisdom with the mouth now there's another thing you can learn about God to that Olive here's the question to everybody question is God all powerful yes is God all knowing yes is God all loving is God we said it he's all knowing he's all powerful and he's all about love true good explain the Holocaust to me explain the homicide bombers in your life to me explain little children dying of cancer to me he's all loving how's it manifestation Your Love he's all knowing he knows about it he's all powerful he could stop it explain it to me somebody not for that tell me if you were to spell this word backwards what would it spell if you put the pay first the L second the AL what does that spell somebody p p what does Pella mean in Hebrew p means a Wonder it's a wonder amazement P I'm amazed because you have to know something in your relationship with God you're going to have to appreciate something there's always going to be something that you don't know something is always going to be a Pella a wonder if you think you're going to know God completely you're barking up the wrong tree I'll tell you a secret if you really want to love God you're going to have to love what you don't know ridiculous but she wants it because she wants it what I don't understand that's where love really begins isn't it with God is the same thing Shem says I want you to love me but not what you understand about me because that's loving you if you want to love God you got to love what you don't understand about me you're going to have to accept the fact that there's always going to be Pella Wonder amazement and you know what what you don't understand you're going to have to trust you're going have to trust you're going have to use your heart to go beyond your mind and that's why I'll tell you a thing you got to know about you and I is that we're physical we have bodies and we got to take care of the body yeah Al the let's face the dumb part of it yeah what the dumb there's blood there's blood I the the English word dumb oh were dumb okay good question we'll point that a second Dum you know why is blood by the way the perfect description of the physical part of who we are why is blood the perfect description of our physicality question if we were to lay out our blood vessels head to toe head to toe head to toe how many miles of blood vessels do we have in the human body you can tell me how many miles of blood vessels do we have enough to go around the world three times three times exactly right 113,000 miles of blood vessels in the human body 113,000 miles of blood vessels in our bodies so what are we we're spiritual and we are physical so beautiful you know if I decide I'm going to goow off on a mountain somewhere and pray and I'm not going to get married I'm not going to have children I'm not going to be inv with friends I'm just going to eat you know bread and drink water and wear some sort of loin cloth am I going to be happy why not because I forgot about this part of who I am that I'm physical but supposing I say listen I'm going to be physical I'm going to eat one slice of pizza two slices of pizza three slices of pizza four slices of pizza five slices of pizza am I going to be happy I'm going to be sick but if I combine my Olive with my D if I integrate the spiritual with the physical beautifully I can have really meaningful life in fact our rabbis tell us you know when you make a blessing on your food you enjoy the food more you know why why because food tastes better when you appreciate it's a gift when my daughter bakes me chocolate chip cookies the chocolate chip cookies can taste terrible but I love it you know why cuz it's from her when I make that blessing on Pizza it might not be great pizza but God it's from you it's a gift from you to me you enjoy it more you combine the spiritual in the physical what else can we learn by the way Don by the way you know we say there are three partners of creation there's your father your mother and of course God who provides the blood in the body mother and father D what's the numerical of doid four numerical value of me 40 That's 44 right what's the word for mother in Hebrew M good what's the word for father in Hebrew AB good let's do a little numerical numerical analysis Al is what one me is 40 That's 40 one AB Al is one Bas is two that's three someone add that together for me what do you get 44 that's interesting because that's the same numerical value is done oh nice coincidence but let's go deeper take a look over here what if I were to ask you what makes the human being a human being what is it it's the fact that we really have an image of God inside of us true that's what makes you special and me special and in fact you know it says that if I were to remove the type A I be whatever it is but it's similar you know the physical parts of us are almost exactly the same what makes you different from me and me different from you and all of you different from each other is that we have different souls and each Soul was brought here for a purpose and you got to find that purpose and you can't be me and I can't be you and you can't copy each other either and that's why the word Dam happens to be the same root in Hebrew as do which means similar and theam which means death if you're going to copy somebody you're dead there's no room for copies here God needs you to be you God needs me to be me we can Inspire each other but you got to find you and I got to find me but the essence is that's because the essence of who we are is the fact we're created in God's image that's the real you now let me show you something here watch this carefully everybody you're going to appreciate this watch this carefully if I were to take the numerical value ofam here so I told you that do is four and me is 40 That's that's 44 correct numerical value of Alf is what one so the numerical value of Adam is 45 now 45 is an interesting number number one is the same numerical value as this word which means ma what does ma mean in Hebrew what 45 ma what what am I going to be what am I what makes me different than you what's my purpose in life if you're not asking it means the the dirt the ground question does ground have any real value does ground have any real value dirt is any what's the difference the dirt on 51st and Lexington and the dirt in somewhere out in Nebraska any difference in the dirt same chemical property why is the dirt in 51st in Lexington worth $1 million per square foot and the dirt in Nebraska is worth about 2 cents per square foot location location location it's what you do with it the value of dirt is dependent on you the potential is there but you have to turn it into something so God is teaching us I created you from the help and ask God for wisdom and ask God for everything we need what's that called in Hebrew the true I dare say what makes us different than the animal kingdom first of all we have free choice but in order that we should utilize our free choice correctly God allows us to have relationship with them to build ourselves and our relationship and thereby make the correct choices so we have something called the F which we called prayer but you know really the word pel in Hebrew it means to judge so when I come before God you know and I ask God for what I need I'm really judging myself is reflexive I'm in the act of judging myself you know and when I ask God say God listen God I need money you know I need money and if I'm what's in the back of my mind I really want to buy that 2009 Lexus you know you know if that's what's in the back of my mind you know I might not get too far like God I'm before the almighty I'm before the creator of the universe and I'm asking for a car like with the fancy leather seats like you know when I come before God I really have to analyze why do I want money God I really need money listen I have a big family we need space the more space you have the more peace you can have in the home I want to be able to pay for tuitions my kids need things I want to be able to give charity I like having a lot of shabas guests like I need more money oh God can say listen there there's are good reasons right so in the process of my request I'm really analyzing myself aren't I that's why p means judging oneself and I do that for the almighty and I begin to build a relationship with God and by building that relationship I begin to understand a little bit how I can utilize my life for a proper purpose that's the human being now here's my challenge to everybody what's the whole premise of this talk tonight the whole premise is that God took the alate took the Hebrew language and from the Hebrew language constructed reality that's to say he took an alive he took a doid he took a me and with that Olive do and Men He formed Adam that's what it means it's not a joke blessed the one who spoke and the world came into existence Adam God said these three
