STOP HATING EACH OTHER

the one that wrote the book of and he says to in the last verse he says in verse 21 and 22 bring us back to you Hashem and we will return renew our days as of old for even if you have utterly rejected us you've already raged sufficiently against us meaning saying to bring us back we want to be back we love you we're sorry we we want to back go back home you kicked us out of the house you punished us already meaning that even if uh we did something wrong you punished us already enough enough with the cancer enough with the hostility enough with the tragedies enough bring us back you already punished us anyway so the prophet yesah prophet Isaiah in uh chapter 40 verse number one says where he talks in prophecy about theban that's going to be the destruction that's going to be and uh he says for she received doubled for all of our sins ask you know Jeremiah says that hem you already punished us how much should you punish us and Isaiah says double for all of our sins whatever he sinned pay double he sinned one hasem punished you two that's what Isaiah says so Rashi comes we cannot read the Torah without Rashi we're not going to understand a single verse without rashi rashi beginning it looked good but as you saw your father age you saw that it wasn't as good anymore all of a sudden he lost all of a sudden he got sick all of a sudden people didn't like him all of a sudden he didn't know what he was doing in the world anymore you saw that your father's ways in the end didn't pay out even if he had millions and millions of dollars the rest of his life was meaningless where he was so poor that the only thing he had was money there are many people like that in the world where they're so poor that the only thing they have is possessions nothing else though no meaning to life no purpose whatsoever no good marriage no no good relationships nothing else no happiness no joy whatever Joy or happiness they have in their life is just momentary they live in the moment constantly needing to take either new Vacations or buy new things in order to give themselves just a little bit of elation a little bit of you know happiness that's superficial but when a push comes to shove if someone told them give me all your money and I'll give you happiness in return they'll give it to if they actually know what happiness feels like many times people ask me what does happiness feel like what does it feel like how does it look like how do you know truth is happiness is not a feeling happiness is a state of mind happiness is a state of being and if you're happy you know it you know that you're happy there's no question of you're happy it doesn't mean you don't have any problems you could very well have a lot of problems but that status does not change but that can only be if you're connected to the source of Happiness to himself which means that you have to be connected to him through the vessel that he gave us which is this Torah but if you only connected to different parts of the that you like and you pick you like to put on so you connected to that you like praying so you connected to that you like giving stas you connected to that but what about SCH no not so much what about you know actually having n a little bit what about being honest in business nah it's a little hard I'm I like the other the other stuff is easy I put I'll put it twice on you know I'll do a few things but that other stuff it's too hard that's not a real connection and that's also not going to be real happiness so we see that many times we see as we age we see the people that came before us age also and we see how their life turns out and you talk to them and ask them about themselves and more than nine out of 10 more than nine out of 10 only like to talk about their past when they were young oh yeah when I was your age I did this and we did that and and we went here and we did that okay that's great what about now no no but listen but 20 years ago I just a memory it's just the past in so many words you just can't wait to die because there's nothing else for you to live for your white your life didn't work out that means that means your life didn't work out because obviously if you're living in the world for 70 80 90 100 years it's not just supposed to be good for the first 20 30 or 40 it's supposed to be a fulfilling life if you're telling me that all of your good memories are of the Yer year of the previous generation of all the things that happened when you were 20 and strong and goodlook and everything and now that you're 50 you just simply have no reason to live but you're living because you don't want to kill yourself that means your plan didn't work out your way didn't work out and as a smart son or daughter that sees this as a smart nephew or niece sees this sees the older people get older and more miserable is telling us you should have learned from them not learned what you chose to learn which is to repeat the same crimes against me when they were 20 not learned from their stupid stories of what they did when they were 20 years old and 30 years old no that's not what you're supposed to learn from them you're supposed to learn from what was the result what was the result of what they did when they were 20 and3 where they tried all types of drugs what happened after that oh from now from that point on he wasn't able to see in one eye you should have learned from that not from the story that he took drugs you should have learned that he doesn't have an eye now oh from the fact that that he was a womanizer and every week he had a new girlfriend oh you should see now what's the result he's single he's 60 he's 60 years old divorced three times and single you should have learned from that not from to be a womanizer you should have learned to not be a womanizer why it doesn't work out in the end it doesn't work out in the end oh she told you that she used to like going partying with all of our friends now she's 45 50 years old but she can't find a husband and she can't wait to have a kid but unfortunately you need a husband for that and she's miserable about it you should have learned just bought another building he just bought another sports team he just built another casino he just built another gome he just built another cailla for himself he did all these things look how much stuff he has and they like to take pictures of these ugly people and put it on the media as if all of a sudden because he's got a billion dollars he's good-look I need to look at him now look at how much stuff he's he got and people wow what a success story I'm going to read his book to see how he succeeded but the reality is if you ever get to know these people or you ever read to read the real bios of some of these people that talk about their real life you see how much of an utter failure they were with no exception every single one of them whether it's the top of the top in the investment world like Warren Buffett a complete and utter failure in life like no other where to the extent where his own wife does not want to be with him left them alone go live by yourself I can't take you these kids are almost like strangers they talk about their father as if it's a third person like as if it's like a distant Uncle the media talks about him as he's the Oracle of Omaha yeah he knows how to make money yeah but nothing else nothing else yeah but he's going to leave money to some Charities okay so the Charities are going to forget about him two days after he dies because they have a little bit of money that he have or a lot of money that he gave them but but who cares what does that why does that give him any purpose what about the stuff he did or people like Steve Jobs or people like the uh the the celebrities that die or still alive for the time being that made up fortune in athletics and in in in in movies and all types of things every single one of them that people admire is an utter failure to the highest power when you look at their real life you'll see there success in money and acquiring stuff in many cases but as far as life complete and utter failure and instead of learning from the failure not to repeat what he did not to do what he did not to do what she did you chose to learn to actually do the wrong that we're doing for that is a double punishment why you should have known better and that's why K says to the Prophet Jeremiah yes yes you want to come back I understand and I want you back and I'm never going to leave you and I'm never going to destroy you no matter how much I'm going to hurt you but you should know that although you want to be back I still had to punish you double for making the mistake again now of course we know that a is not him 10 times a day there's nothing for him to do he got caught doing the crime and he just waits for the prison Ward to come with the whip and hit him because they said that's the sentence prepares himself mentally prepares himself physically but the damage has to come at some point the prison W comes with a whip much scarier than it was in his imagination and he starts hitting him 1 2 3 4 5 and every single one he's screaming in agony and pain 9 10 and he thinks ohem I just finished 11 12 what's going on the sentence is 10 it's 10 it's 10 15 20 25 30 40 60 100 times completely collapses passes out wakes up the next day just to have the same exact thing happen again 100 whips he's thinking this place is the worst place on Earth I don't know how I'm going to survive here for 10 years what's going to happen a month into it he's getting a hundred whips a day he doesn't know what to do with himself this is a nightmare this is gome this is kafak this is the worst thing in the world
