The Hilula of Rabbi Abraham Matityahu Friedman of Shtefanesht

Today we are lighting a candle in honor of Rabbi Avraham Matityahu Friedman, [music] the Tsadik of Stefanesti, of blessed memory, who in his generation was considered one of the thousand righteous, and he had a very unique way [music] of blessing a Jew. When a Jew would come to him with a request for salvation, with trouble, with a problem, he would ask [music] the Jew, "Do you believe in your salvation? Do you believe it will come?" And only when the Jew would answer the Tsadik, "Yes, [music] Rabbi, I believe with complete faith that it will come," the Tsadik would say to him, "Then go home and you will see that >> [music] >> everything will work out." And this is so powerful. This is the secret of this Tsadik. >> [music] >> This is the secret of this day, faith. The first condition for receiving salvation [music] is faith. If there is no faith, how will it come? Simply believe. [music] Believe to the level of knowing that it is happening, and see with your own eyes that things are happening [music] and coming to pass with God's help. What are you asking for? Believe that it is happening. >> [music] >> Good livelihood, success, health, joy from our children, peace in our home, and most importantly, in the world, redemption. The Holy [music] One, blessed be He, wants to see the people of Israel believe with complete faith that this is happening. And even though he may delay, still [music] wait for him. Wait for him with faith at the level of knowing that this is happening. So, with God's help, open your heart with complete [music] faith, see things happening, and in this way, with God's help, we will merit both personal salvation and [music] collective salvation.
