The Story Behind America’s Founding
250 years ago, America was founded by people searching for the freedom to live according to their beliefs. Over the centuries, that same promise of religious liberty made America a safe and welcoming home for millions of Jews, fleeing persecution in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. Today, it is home to the largest Jewish community outside of Israel. As America marks this milestone, it's worth reflecting on the purpose of freedom itself. Freedom isn't only about being free from restrictions. It's about being free for something greater: to live with purpose, to embrace our values, and to serve G-d.
