Good morning today's Monday
on edge. My name is with today's news
report on edge. So while I give you the
news, you spread the news to your family
and friends about on edge. Thank you.
On edge. Your daily report of the news
of the last 24 hours powered by 24
provided to you by the click.
Trump has nine lives at least. That is
what it seems to be the case as he
survives his third assassination
attempt.
Unbelievable. We'll go into depth soon
about the whole story. Exactly how it
happened. Iran is desperate and Abbas
Araghchi the foreign minister of Iran
seeing where he stands turned to Russia
for help. Putin made it very clear that
Russia will do everything it can to help
Iran.
We'll talk about it later. When asking
China for help, China also said our
ships well they try to get in but
they're not being let in because of the
US blockade. Hezbollah is so weakened
now that they're going back to using
suicide bombers. Something they haven't
done since the 1980s. As a threat from
Naim Qassem the current leader of the
Hezbollah.
We have jam-packed news news report
today. So please tell your friends that
while I spread the news every single day
here,
you guys should spread the news to your

Mainly in where I give the news report
every single day as well. Well almost
more than a year already
been doing this every single day.
You know during the week obviously
Monday to Monday through Friday and
sometimes Sunday we bring on special
guests like we did this Sunday. My
friend my have a motion from Jackson we
had a beautiful discussion a
conversation that's very very
informative and I'm I think you might
enjoy it. So go check it out the
yesterday's report. Like I said all the
places that you could reach it on as
well you can always call come with us if
you don't have no access to anything
else. Come with us as hotline you can
dial 118 from the main menu.
118 you might have to skip some ads on
the way but yeah. Okay, President Donald
J. Trump survived
a third assassination attempt on motzei
Shabbos. Well, we left Shabbos
you know thinking that something crazy
is going to happen but nothing happened.
Well, an hour later we heard about this
shooting inside the Washington Hilton
during the White House Correspondents
Dinner.
Here's the full breakdown of exactly
what happened and how the gunman pulled
it off. The Washington Hilton is a large
hotel that has hosted this famous dinner
for decades now. The ballroom
where guests were seated sits in the
basement level of the building. Above it
on the floors directly overhead are
regular hotel guest rooms accessible to
anyone who books a stay. Well,
in fact you can also book a stay there
today.
You might get background checked today
especially after this incident.
That is exactly how the gunman got in.
His name is Cole Thomas Allen a
31-year-old computer engineer from
California.
Allen booked a room at the hotel just
like any normal guest would. He checked
in, went into his room and blended in
completely. Nobody flagged him, nobody
stopped him. He was just another guest
in a suit.
When the time came Allen left his room,
took the elevator down and positioned
himself at the hotel entrance near the
stairwell that leads to the basement
ballroom. From that spot he had a direct
line of sight to to the open doors of
the ballroom below.
He ran across the barrier. The security
barrier took no chances.
Instead of just going through it he ran
across it wildly while firing six shots.
Inside the ballroom hundreds of
journalists, media personalities, and
government officials were all seated at
round tables for the annual dinner. The
moment the shots rang out, the room went
into chaos. Guests dove under the
tables, knocking over glasses and
centerpieces. Some crawled towards the
walls, others froze in their seats. The
noise echoed through the basement space
and the screaming started almost
immediately. Secret Service agents moved
with speed. Within seconds, they had
surrounded President Trump, First Lady
Mrs. Trump Melania Trump and Vice
President J.D. Vance
and also Pete Hegseth, Marco Rubio and
the others. The agents formed a tight
protective wall around all three of them
and physically pushed them through the
back exit and out of the ballroom away
from the direction of the shots. Outside
Trump's motorcade was already running.
The moment the call came through, the
convoy made high-speed a high-speed exit
from the hotel. Witnesses near the
Washington Hilton described a blur of
black vehicles tearing out of the hotel
driveway with lights flashing. The
entire evacuation from shots to
motorcade departure happened in a matter
of minutes.
Now, Allen was called almost
immediately. He was shot, obviously, and
on his way he shot a Secret Service
agent who who basically survived. He's
out of the hospital, Trump said. Trump
confirmed that he's out of the hospital
now. He's fine because it just uh
basically ruptured his
Not even him. It just Well, his
bulletproof vest obviously saved his
life.
Allen was called almost immediately,
like I said. Hotel security and Secret
Service, they shot him,
disabled him, and grabbed him before he
could go anywhere else and they held him
down on the ground. He did not resist.
Trump put out a post and allowed for
everyone to put up the actual CCTV
footage for everyone to see exactly what
happened, to be transparent about this
assassination attempt so nobody had So
nobody like Mrs. Candace Owens
who basically um
you know, they put out a post about
Charlie Kirk's assassination attempt
saying that the shot didn't come from
the front, it came from behind. And then
she put up the same
She She basically contradicted herself
by putting out a video of the behind of
Charlie Kirk while all this happens and
you don't see a bullet and she even she
doesn't even remember what she said on
the post before. Anyway, this is my
point. So, Trump made the point after
bashing Candace Owens by writing she's
the most despicable being and well, all
other words that he used right on Motzei
Shabbos. For those of you who don't
remember, he
blasted against Tucker Carlson, Candace
Owens, and Megyn Kelly and all the other
ones.
Before the attack, Allen had sent a
letter to his family and in it he mocked
the hotel's security setup.
Specifically, the fact that the guest
rooms sit directly above the ballroom.
He said he was fully willing to kill
everyone in the attend in attendance.
His social media was filled with
anti-Trump posts. He had donated to a an
organization called ActBlue, the
left-wing fundraising platform.
He belonged to anti- to an
anti-government group and
told his online followers to arm
themselves. The White House confirmed
that Trump stands fully behind the
Secret Service and their response.
Officials say the agents performed
exactly as trained.
On Sunday, Trump posted on Truth Social
that the shooting proves a safe ballroom
must be built on the grounds.
Looked at
all of the conditions that took place
tonight and I will say, you know, it's
it's not
a particularly secure building.
And uh
I didn't want to say this, but this is
why we have to have
all of the
attributes of what we're planning at the
White House. It's actually a larger room
and it's a much more secure. It's got
it's drone proof, it's bulletproof
glass. We need the ballroom. That's why
the Secret Service, that's why the
military are demanding it.
He said this event would have never
happened with a militarily top secret
ballroom currently under construction in
the White House.
It cannot be built fast enough, he says.
While beautiful, it has every highest
level security feature there is. Plus,
there are no rooms sitting on top for
unsecured people to pour in.
and is inside the gates of the most
secure building in the world, the White
House.
Allen is doing court today.
Now, interesting fact.
On March 13, 1981, President Ronald
Reagan was shot and wounded outside the
Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington,
D.C. by John Hinckley Jr.
Reagan was walking out of of a speaking
event, a fundraiser, when a bullet
bounced off his limousine and hit him in
the chest.
He survived.
But the Washington Hilton became forever
linked to one of the darkest moments in
American presidential history. And now,
that same hotel is back in the
headlines.
This month of April, the incident
unfolded at the very same location
during the White House Correspondents
Dinner this time, involving
President Donald J. Trump. And in fact,
my friend Marc Lotter from Jackson was
talking about this very connection right
here on Edge yesterday.
That chilling parallel between 1981 and
now, same hotel, two presidents, two
attacks, 45 years apart.
And Trump always refers himself to Well,
he compares himself to Ronald Reagan,
and this time,
literally, it was done for him
under these difficult circumstances.
Meanwhile, US Republican Senator
Thom Tillis from North Carolina said
he will stop blocking Kevin Warsh from
leading the Federal Reserve. As you know
already, we spoke about this last week.
Warsh is Trump's personal choice for
this position. Tillis changed his mind
after the Department of Justice stopped
a criminal case about Jerome Powell, Mr.
Too Late, like Trump likes to call him.
However, it will still check on a very
expensive building project that they are
checking on to see if he's doing
everything right, if he's not spending
extra money, which may have had extra
costs, like I say. But after hearing
this, he heard that they dropped the
case, Tillis said that one of his
concerns was solved, and as a result, he
will have no problem with Waters'
appointment. Okay? The Senate Banking
Committee will vote this Wednesday
regarding Kevin Waters' appointment.
We'll see what happens this Wednesday.
Nine people were injured in a mass
shooting early Sunday morning, yesterday
in Indiana. The violence broke out just
as after midnight on Kirkwood Avenue in
Bloomington, the home of Indiana
University. The shooting happened during
the school's famous Little 500 weekend,
which is a massive yearly celebration
that brings tens of thousands of
visitors in the area. No arrests have
been made, but the police say that many
people were seen pulling out their guns.
Interesting, they have guns, I guess, to
you know, protect themselves.
The United States military blew up
another drug-carrying boat in the
Eastern Pacific, killing three terrorist
narco-terrorists. Officials say the boat
was connected to terror to obviously
narco-terrorist groups.
The United States Southern Command
released a video showing the fast-moving
boat completely bursting into flames
after being hit. No American troops were
hurt in the operation.
After dozens of similar attacks over the
past few months, 185 people, terrorists,
were killed in this anti-drug operation
that America is operating right now in
the south part, the south in the
Caribbean area. And that's Yeah.
Let's talk about the Middle East, okay?
We haven't spoken about this in a while,
I know, because of all this happening.
You see how the news takes over
sometimes, but it's a it's a it's a
change of light a little bit, you know?
You You start with something else
instead. Israeli soldiers destroyed a
massive underground terror tunnel
in the southern Gaza Gaza Strip. The
military says this 2,600-ft tunnel
belonged to the Palestinian Islamic
Jihad. Combat engineers from the top
Yahalom unit uncovered the tunnel
inside. Soldiers found a stockpile of
weapons, military equipment, and a
hidden rocket. They also said
that the tunnel reached into the Israeli
side of the ceasefire line. This
operation is part of a larger military
effort as Israel expands its control
inside Gaza. With this progress, Israel
has has no use for US backup inside the
area just yet. It is putting US military
experts on the sidelines for now.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali
Bennett and Yair Lapid and are creating
a new political party together called
Bayahad.
Its main goal is to challenge Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the
upcoming 2026 Knesset Knesset elections.
And Bennett [snorts] will be the leader
of the unified list. To do this, they
will unify different oppositions and
center-right groups.
During a joint press conference, Lapid
showed full support to Bennett.
They said that the entire Israeli center
must stand behind Bennett to establish a
Zionist government.
The new
part the new party Bayahad left an empty
spot open for Gadi Eisenkot, a former
military chief and leader of the Yesh
Atid party. Eisenkot said he likes the
idea but has not officially joined them
yet. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
quickly criticized the new political
party. His Likud party also released a
statement saying that Lapid and Bennett
are joining a terrorist-supporting
Muslim Brotherhood alliance.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog delayed
his decision to completely stop Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption
trial.
Now, for those of you who don't know,
Benjamin Netanyahu was diagnosed
previously with cancer
and it turns out on Friday that he was
cancer-free. Netanyahu claims that all
charges are false, including lying and
bribery.
Instead of simply forgiving Netanyahu
via pardon, President Herzog wants to
get a plea deal. His office stated that
a legal statement between Netanyahu and
the prosecutors I'm sorry, a legal
settlement between Netanyahu and the
prosecutors is the best way to resolve
this case. As you all know, President
Trump has been on this case for a long
time to beg
Mr. President Herzog to give him a
pardon. And uh as well, Netanyahu
himself as well um formally asked him
via letter.
And this is where we're standing. This
announcement matches earliest um
comments from the president who said he
would fully welcome both sides sitting
down to work through the issues.
Okay, a deadly drone attack killed a
19-year-old Israeli soldier now in
Lebanon, okay? And wounded six others.
This happened in the village of Taybeh,
which is southern Lebanon where
Hezbollah launched explo- launched
explosive drones.
Sergeant Idan Fuchs, Hashem Yinkam Damo,
who was instantly killed
is the third Israeli soldier who died
since the truce began. It's very very
just recently, like last week.
He was a combat soldier in the 7th
Armored Brigade's 77th Battalion unit.
In response, Israeli fighter jets
launched multiple strikes killing at
least 14 terrorists. The military issued
forced evacuation orders for affected
towns outside the buffer zone.
They also announced a specific which is
next next to the Litani River. They also
announced a specific warning to the
Christian village of
Marjayoun.
And now Hezbollah is making a
frightening new threat.
We heard today from Naim Qassem, the
current leader, according to Al Jazeera,
that they announced that it back the
tactics of the 1980s, meaning it plans
to send suicide bomber groups to attack
IDF positions in southern Lebanon. This
threat comes as the fighting continues
even after last week's three-week
ceasefire extension. Explosions and
ground clashes have not stopped.
In a video
um circulated online, injured Israeli
soldiers
were seen taken out of the village of Al
Taybeh, which is southern Lebanon.
During the rescue, drones from Hezbollah
attacked the area. One drone was stopped
in the air by one of the soldiers with
his gun. Another
exploded another drone exploded near the
soldiers while they were loading a
others onto a stretcher. The helicopter
was not damaged and the evacuation was
finished safely, they say.
The political group supporting
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas won
most of the local elections yesterday.
Huh. They won across Judea and Samaria,
which is the West Bank, and secured
seats in the Gaza city of Deir al-Balah.
This is Gaza's first time participating
in elections since 2006. The results are
also surprising because the Hamas
largely controls Gaza, and they are
known as the rivals of Abbas. So, it
looks like however, the people other
people believe the opposite.
They believe that through though Hamas
did not formally nominate or select a
representative for the elections, those
who voted was seen to be in line with
Hamas beliefs.
Residents and analysts said their votes
could be connected to the Islamist
group. Now, if you listen to my
yesterday's segment again with Masha
from Jackson, we spoke about this idea
that the Palestinian Authority is kind
of losing its grip because they're
running out of funds, running out of
money.
President Donald J. Trump warned that
Iran has only about 3 days left before
its oil systems break down from the
inside. Now, that is not a threat from
him. This is a threat from their own. I
mean, coming in from the inside. I mean,
also discussed yesterday at length with
Masha from Jackson, my colleague Masha
from Jackson. Okay. Now, he said
he said this because the two-week
American blockade on Iran has already
forced 38 ships to turn around. The US
Central Command is stopping commercial
ships from entering or exiting Iranian
ports near the Strait of Hormuz. Before
this crisis, an average of 135 ships
traveled through the Strait of Hormuz
every single day, but that number is now
basically zero. To keep the waterway
clear, the US Navy has officially
started removing bombs from the water,
the mines that we spoke about. Now, just
want to remind you that uh news
circulating online posts on social media
saying that ships are getting through,
which isn't true. It's just propaganda.
Iran has no I looked for those reports,
I couldn't find any base, any true um
factual um evidence to this. Iran is
trying to find a way out of the
blockade. Over the weekend, Iranian
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi submitted
a new proposal. He asked America to
reopen the Strait of Hormuz and extend
the current ceasefire. However, well, we
don't know what the ceasefire is
extending what? Like however this will
delay America's main goal, which is to
stop Iran from processing uranium for at
least another 10 to 20 years and destroy
its current stock of weapon-making
materials for missiles. Because the
proposal will give US a disadvantage,
discussions are now frozen
in place.
A planned second round of talks in
Islamabad, Pakistan will not happen
after Iranian officials refused to meet
with White House representatives Steve
Whitkoff and Jared Kushner. Cuz they're
both both Jewish, maybe? Don't know.
Politician and diplomat Saeed Jalili is
preparing to take over the nuclear
negotiating team. He is also expected to
succeed Parliament speaker Mohammad
Bagher Ghalibaf. Unfortunately, Jalili
also does not like to engage with the
US. We'll see where that goes.
But instead of turning to America, Iran
turned to Russia. Earlier today, Iranian
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi
um
flew to St. Petersburg to meet with
Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin
used to meet uh used the meeting to
fully back Iran. He praised the Iranian
people, well, he means the regime
people, saying that they are, and we
quote, "fighting bravely and heroically
for their sovereignty." He added
that he hopes Iran will get through this
difficult time. He means the regime
people, obviously. He's forgetting about
the 40,000 people that were killed and
the women that and the people that were
executed for basically protesting them.
And that peace will come soon, he says.
Putin also says he personally sent his
best wishes for the health of the
supreme leader, the current one, Mojtaba
Khamenei, who is still recovering from
his injuries after an airstrike. Looks
like they know where he is, we don't.
Most importantly, Putin made clear that
Russia will do everything it can to help
Iran and that the two countries plan to
to continue their close strat- strategic
relationship going forward.
This move is being watched very closely
in the Arab world. Anwar Gargash, a top
advisor to the United Arab Emirates,
reached reacted very sharply to this.
He says, "Iran acts as if it is a
superpower even when it does not possess
nuclear weapons. Imagine if it would
possess those weapons." That's what he
says today.
A story I saw yesterday made me realize
something that most of you would have
missed. Israel had a secret plan ready
to go. It planned to bring down the
Iranian regime from the inside. The
Mossad, Israel's elite spy agency, was
fully prepared to carry it out.
Everything was set.
And then, just hours before it was
supposed to begin, President Trump made
a phone call and shut it down. According
to reports, Trump personally halted the
operation at least, well, at the last
minute. He wanted to keep full control
over what happens to Iran's leadership
and who comes next. This fits with what
Trump says publicly said publicly, for
those of you who remember, I reported it
here, that he believes he must have a
role in choosing Iran's future
direction. Who's going to be the next
leader? Israel followed the order and
the operation never happened or it is on
hold. It raises serious questions. With
talks frozen, the blockades tightening,
and Iran is now, well, turning to Russia
for help, how long before the plan gets
dusted off again? We don't know.
All right, let's talk about Protobyte.
347-354-1237.
Now, Protobyte is known to design
custom-made software. You know, when
you're stuck in, you know, you're trying
to gather all your Excel sheets and the
Google documents and
all the different programs that you have
running your current business, and then
you want to send all of of those Google
forms for customers to fill out, and
then you forget where they are, and
emails and everything is all complicated
and convoluted and a mix and match, and
just call Protobyte. They will design
custom-made software for you today. I
know you rely on AI, but guess what?
Have you timed yourself how long it
takes you to actually figure out how to
talk to AI? Until that happens, call
Protobyte 347-354-1237
today and they will prepare a fully
customized plan for you. You won't have
to talk much. They understand. Just like
you talk to AI, you You AI understands
you? They understand you way better. You
You know why? Because of the humans.
Okay, the United States is offering a
reward for of up to $10 million for
information
on Haider al-Gharawi.
Gharawi, a leader of an Iran-linked
terrorist group in Iraq called HAAA.
The US says that HAAA has attacked
American forces and facilities in Syria,
Jordan, and Iraq. The reward is part of
a program that helps track and arrest
people linked to terrorism and armed
groups.
An interesting fact, I don't know if I
discussed it yesterday on the segment
with my friend Moshe from Jackson, but
we definitely had this discussion
together about this.
That I asked why um you know, there are
Palestinians living inside
of Gaza, right? That don't want all
this. Don't want this pain. They don't
want They don't want to be part of it.
They want to have a normal lives. But
the question really must be asked.
America offered tons of money. More
money than they they have. Money that
could change their lives forever.
Millions of dollars.
For just information. Not even
information leading to the capture of
these terrorists.
And none of them came up. None of them.
Not one. Israel actually proved it.
When they were asked and you know, they
said nobody turned us. We offered money.
Nobody turned us. They offered money
find these terrorists. And that proves
one thing.
I'll let you think about that. I'll let
that sit with you. Okay, aside from the
cash reward, the US is will also help
the informant relocate to a safe place.
And this is part of what they've done so
so many times. So
I've heard it several times already.
Also, for those of you remember the the
US
um fighter that fell, you know, that
fell from the sky in Iran, was also, you
know, they offered $60,000 for those of
find him. And America offered even more
money.
Anyway, the United Arab Emirates has
successfully, but quietly, set up the
Iron Dome missile defense system that
they bought from Israel. This technology
was made by Israel and will help protect
the UAE from Iranian missiles and
drones. Looks like Israel is
you know, strengthening its ties with
the Arab friends. Israel is also sending
dozens of soldiers to the UAE. This is
interesting. This is a historical move
because it's the first time the country
is sending its military to an active
combat zone outside of the United States
or Israel.
Syria is holding its first public trial
for leaders from the Assad era, which
fell in December 2024. Today, it began
with Atif Najib, a former senior
official and a cousin of the fallen
Syrian dictator Assad. He is accused of
mass shooting and torturing children.
Footage showed Najib sitting in the cage
wearing a striped prison uniform. The
hearing took place inside the Central
Palace of just of the
of justice in Damascus. Meanwhile, Assad
and other former officials are being
tried in
abse- uh sorry, in abs- in absentia.
Absentia. Meaning
they are being put on trial even though
they are not physically in the
courtroom. Tentially, I guess. That's I
never heard of that word before. Sorry.
Mind me. Okay. Now, the war is driving
up the cost of everyday items made with
petroleum.
Now, last night, President Trump spoke
on the phone with British Prime Minister
Keir Starmer.
The two leaders heavily disagreed on how
to handle the war and the blockade. In
the UK, a government minister warned
that the effects of the war would last
until the
would last until next year or maybe even
longer.
The tension of the Strait of Hormuz is
also causing major investors to put
their money into something else. This
includes Iraq's $24 billion development
road corridor.
Also in the UK, a massive fire broke out
at RAF Fairford military site on Sunday
morning. The United States military uses
this exact British Royal Air Force base
to launch strikes against Iran. Now, you
can all imagine where this comes from.
The The fire and rescue service fully
extinguished the fire and told its crews
to stay just to be secure.
Investigations are still ongoing, but
officials say it might be an accident.
Well, the flag of Spain was seen at a
pro-Islamic regime rally in Tehran,
Iran. Protesters were waving the Spanish
flag because Spain's Prime Minister,
like I've said many times here, Pedro
Sanchez is one of the few European
leaders openly pushing policies against
the United States and Israel. Sanchez
runs a far-left social government
socialist government and recently
refused America's request for sharing
military bases for the operation Epic
Fury. However,
as you remember, they also recently No,
however, they also recently joined the
forces in Europe to try and stop and
punish
stop trade and punish Israel for the
war.
Okay, United States and the European
Union are working together more closely
on critical minerals, such as materials
needed for things like electric cars,
phones, and weapons.
The goal is to reduce dependence on
China because China controls a large
part of the global supply of these
minerals. With this new agreement, the
US and EU plan to secure new supply
chains, supporting mining and recycling,
and make agreements so they can get
these materials from more countries in
the future.
Okay.
The Slabodka Yeshiva, Hadav Dov Lando,
delivered a clear message on Sunday
evening.
During his divrei chizuk, Hadav Lando
shlita told the crowd that the Bnei
Yeshiva will not go to the army. He
explained, "Bnei Yeshiva will not go to
the army under any circumstances,
neither by coercion nor voluntarily,
whether there is a law or not."
After the address,
Rav Lando met with another of the
leading Gedolei Torah, and they
discussed the ongoing crisis gears
surrounding the military draft, and of
course the future of the Oilam HaTorah
in Eretz Yisrael.
Due to the ongoing bombings,
the traditional Lag BaOmer celebrations,
Ve Zeh HaShem's with his Lag BaOmer,
in
Mount Meron, were canceled. Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially
stopped the yearly gathering because it
is is to protect the crowds now with the
ongoing war with Hezbollah. Israel's
military has also also implemented
strict new security rules. They said
that only 1,500 people can attend
gatherings inside Moshav Meron, which is
nearby, and other border towns. Now,
because of this new rule, the central
bonfire lighting led by
Harav Elimelech Biderman, shlita, was
relocated to the corner of Yirmiyahu and
Shamgar Streets, which is in
Yerushalayim.
A young Israeli girl named
Karadi passed away after fighting for
her life for nearly a month. She
suffered critical injuries when an
Iranian missile struck her home on Remot
Street. You remember I reported it here
not long ago?
Thousands of Yidden gathered late last
night for a heartbreaking levaya. Her
father spoke at the funeral expressing
deep faith and grief and grief over the
loss of his daughter.
Police took hundreds of Yidden out of
the main building of Beth Medrash Govoha
in Lakewood. This happened right in
middle of Shabbos morning davening. What
happened? At 10:00 a.m. on Shabbos,
everyone was in middle of Musaf. Then
someone reported a security threat.
Police officers quickly cleared out the
large
um building and the Musaf Beth Medrash.
The Yidden moved over to a nearby
building in the yeshiva area to finish
their finish davening, obviously. Police
searched every part of the entire
building. Once they
were sure that the area was totally
clear, the officers allowed everyone to
go back inside again. They later
announced that the threat was not real.
The suspect who reported
it was take uh the suspect who reported
it was taken obviously by the police for
questioning.
A video of Williamsburg Hatzolah
treating a non-Jewish child has spread
very quickly on the internet. Since
the Hatzolah, which is a Jewish
voluntary emer- emergency medical
service, as you EMS, right?
Is it is unique to see that they were
the first one to arrive at the scene.
That's what was talked about online. The
video of the rescue was posted to social
media. It has already been watched more
than 2.6 million times.
The 70-year-old 78-year-old Jewish
woman, Mrs. Litwin, who had gone
missing, has been found
Baruch Hashem on Friday. Now, she was
found She was lost She was already
reported lost since April 15 and was
found at a
at a hospital an hour away from her Los
Angeles home.
The good news is so it follows a massive
search by the Vera of Rockland which
traveled to Los Angeles like I told you
that my friend um
Shimmy Tauber, not Stauber. I said by
mistake Stauber. Shimmy Tauber from 4 by
4 Decks reported the story to me and
told me about it. So, I reported it here
on Friday.
Um anyway, so yeah, Vera of Rockland
traveled there, 40 members I think. On
the way they they stopped by the scene
of the Rebbe of Satmar
and davened for the for the hatzlacha
and for obviously they found her, Baruch
Hashem, alive and safe. The Satmar
rabbonim are now upset officially
at the New York City mayor, Eric Adams.
They helped Adams win the elections, but
he stopped the approval of a new rule
called Intro 175.
The rule, obviously, would have let New
York City Police Department make safe
spaces near schools and mosdos and
during protests. This was especially
important to the Jewish community
because it would protect yeshivas,
shuls, and children from angry
protesters about the Gaza ongoing war
right now.
A Jewish man in Brussels was attacked on
the metro by three men. They hit him and
pulled off his necklace that had a Star
of David on it. The victim, a
41-year-old David someone David I think
Searsant I can't pronounce his name,
said that the men asked him for
directions and then they pushed him to
the ground and hit his face many, many
times. His glasses fell off and they
took his necklace.
Another hateful attack occurred on
Shabbos morning, according to the
police. A man attempted to force his way
into the Swat Shakila Center, which is
Ontario, Canada. He then attacked the
victim in the shul in the shul before
running away,
though no injuries were reported.
In West Africa, Mali's Defense Minister,
General Sadio Camara, was killed after a
massive car bomb exploded in front of
his house.
The assassination was carried out by a
local branch of Al-Qaeda called the
Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin.
If you can pronounce that, you'll win a
prize.
Now, the bombing started a nationwide
attack across the country. The Islamic
terrorists joined forces with the local
rebel group the to corner the to corner
Malian and Russian soldiers. When the
Russians were allowed to leave safely
during a battle, they took the
opportunity and then left their Malian
allies behind. This is not a unique
behavior from Russian soldiers, since
they also previously left their allies
in Syria, Venezuela, and Iran, which
they did twice.
When it seems fit, when they get
benefits out of it, they stay, but when
they don't, they just flee.
We also have updates from last week's
top news, and I'll just give it to you
quickly. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer
plans to make his members vote again
against his investigation, so
calls about his resignation will stop.
The calls for resignation began after he
appointed this Peter Mandelson, like I
said, the UK ambassador to Washington,
right? After scandals. A top NATO
commander warned
that Russia still has a strong imperial
strong imperial ambitions and is not
only focused on Ukraine. He said Russia
may want to influence
may want influence over Soviet Union
countries, and this would create
long-term danger for nearby regions and
NATO countries.
Now, Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba
Khamenei, is still being treated at a
secret location because of his serious
injuries from an airstrike from the
airstrike obviously that killed his
father. According to Iranian reports, he
is still able to think and make
decisions, but will need surgery on his
face plus a fake leg. He
They're basically putting him together.
That's why they put the cardboard up, I
guess. He still has not gone out in
public ever since the airstrike. He is
nowhere to be seen. Some people think
he's dead. He was obviously seen on a
big massive poster with all the deadies
from Iran. So, that makes a lot of
people think, "Wait, he's dead or alive?
Why is he on the list of deadies?"
Okay, now, the Egyptian military will
have exercise will have exercises near
the border of Israel. The drills include
live-fire training and military
movement. So, Israeli citizens are
worried especially with the ongoing war
now. As you all know,
Egypt is basically building its
military.
Very, very strongly, might I say. Nike
is cutting about 1,400 jobs worldwide.
This will affect workers who are under
its technology, teams, and global
operations. The The company says this is
a part of a plan to make the business
simpler, faster, and more efficient
after weak sales in recent years. It
also wants to use more automation, AI,
to improve its supply chain, and tech
systems. The layoffs affect workers in
North America, Europe, and Asia, and
they are less than 2% of Nike's total
staff.
Okay.
Sebastian Sawe, a runner from Kenya,
made history at the 2026 London
Marathon. He finished the race in 1 hour
and 59 minutes and 30 seconds. This is
the first time a person officially
finished a marathon in less than 2
hours. Might I say, a marathon is about
how long? About 26 miles? 26 miles. This
is crazy. I've never heard such a thing
in my life. I think it's the first time
in the world.
Because of this, he also broke the
the old world record of 2 hours and 35
seconds. Two other runners from
from Ethiopia and Uganda also beat the
world record, making the race one of the
fastest marathons ever. Now, that's it
for today's news, my friends. Again, my
name is Gersh Woods, and I'm pleased to
be here with you today. We'll see each
other
tomorrow. Let me quickly thank my other
sponsor, Arrive Express, 845-622-1111
or 845-254-1111.
All right.
