Reb Shlomo Carlebach ztl What Is the Greatest Evil in the World? — Taking Away a Person’s Self-Confidence The greatest evil is not only physical harm — it is the force that breaks a person’s confidence and makes them believe they cannot move forward. This is the spirit of Amalek: when something good begins, a voice creeps in and says, “It won’t last… you won’t make it.” I see this when visiting prisons. Sometimes someone disappears, and I ask where he is. They say, “He was released — but don’t worry, he’ll be back soon.” The same happens with people on the streets; when someone finally finds stability, others assume it won’t last. It is heartbreaking how easily hope is taken away. Purim teaches the opposite. On Purim we give each other strength, joy, and confidence. Happiness pushes away the voice that tries to break us. We dance, we rejoice, and we hold tightly to every word of the Megillah — each word carrying powerful energy, reminding us that true strength comes from rebuilding a person’s spirit and belief in themselves. #shlomocarlebach #Purim, #Emunah, #JewishInspiration, #TorahWisdom, #InnerStrength, #FaithAndHope, #OvercomingFear, #JewishMotivation, #Simcha, #Megillah, #SpiritualGrowth, #Confidence, #Hashem, #TorahLife, #PositiveMindset 📷 Follow Us on Instagram!
