Your Past Doesn't Define You

When a person, >> [music] >> when he's younger, does something that he shouldn't be doing, most of us, younger, we sinned. We weren't the greatest. That's tumah, but it's beluah. You keep it inside of you and it's protected. It shouldn't have an influence and shouldn't hurt us and impede us in later on in in our life. Yes, we sinned, but that doesn't mean you're a sinner. It's swallowed inside, deep inside, and it doesn't have an effect to the rest of your life. Yes, if you want to You don't want to walk around, come to Gan Eden, to the world to come with a red cat inside of your stomach, cuz everybody will see it. It doesn't look good when you walk around there and there's a There's an avail inside of you. So, you do teshuvah. You get rid of it. But, if you don't, you don't walk around with this feeling of, "Wow, I'm a terrible human being. What I did when I was 18 years old, when I was 19 years old." And who knows what you did. You did a little avodah zarah, you did a little Maybe in our generation, something different. And on the flip side, on the boy's side, a guy learns in a yeshiva for many years. He's a straight guy. He's a top, top guy. Don't walk around your whole life thinking, "Wow, I'm so special." Cuz I meet a lot of people. In their [music] mind, they're still in yeshiva. In their mind, they're still the greatest guy that ever existed, but they haven't opened up a safer in 15 [music] years. That's also That's taharah beluah. That's dushah that's inside of you, but it it doesn't have any effect right now. Right now, you're a nothing. Right now, you're walking around, you didn't open up a safer in 20 years.
